"So... we just wait?" Lucy asked as she and Laxus stood in the middle of a forest, slightly off the main road that led to a nearby town. Their mission was pretty simple, some bandits had been bothering merchants who were traveling to the town, being robbed and whatnot.
"Yep." Laxus grunted as he set his backpack down, rummaging through it. "It's getting dark, so chances are no one will be trying to come by. I would say early in the morning would be our best bet to catch them."
Lucy took the bed roll that he offered her and unraveled it on the ground. "Well, this should be cozy."
Laxus chuckled. "Not what you were expecting?"
She shrugged as she sat down, crossing her legs. "I just don't see why we couldn't have gotten a hotel room or something."
"Aw, did you want to share a bed with me?" He smirked as he too sat down.
Raising an eyebrow, she motioned to their individual bed rolls. "Seeing as you didn't bring one giant sleeping bag for us to share, I doubt that you had that in mind."
"My mind can always be changed, blondie."
She blushed as he wiggled her eyebrows at her, then she rolled her eyes and stuck her hand in her bag to pull out some sandwiches she'd packed. "You're insufferable."
He chuckled and caught the sandwich she tossed his way. He took a bite before he became more serious. "Listen, I need to talk to you about something."
She gave him her full attention as she ate, motioning for him to go on since her mouth was full.
"When we get back, I'd like to tell Lily who I am."
She swallowed and lowered her sandwich as she studied him. "That's perfectly fine with me. Are you nervous?"
He hummed as he finished chewing what was in his mouth. "Honestly, yeah. Its been too long to not get nervous."
She nodded. If they had told her immediately, it wouldn't seem as complicated as it is now. But back then, he hadn't really wanted anything to do with them. "You know she loves you, right? That's not gonna change."
He looked down at the ground. "Maybe so, but she might get mad that we kept this from her for so long."
"Well... better now than never. She isn't too capable of holding grudges right now."
Laxus smirked. "Tell that to Bickslow."
Lucy laughed along with him. "That's not a grudge, she just likes to watch him cry." She smacked her finger in and out of her mouth once she finished her sandwich and licked her lips. "Can I ask you something?"
"Sure." He grunted as he shoved the rest of the sandwich in his mouth.
"How did your sperm end up at Johnson's Peak?"
He froze, his eyes wide as they shifted to the girl. "Are you sure you wanna know?"
She nodded as she intently looked at him with her head in her hand.
He closed his eyes and sighed. "Well, you see..."
"Hey man, check this out!" Bickslow slapped a flier down in front of Laxus at a bar.
Laxus was getting a little drunk so he really didn't feel like reading. "What the fuck is that?"
"They're offering 100,000 jewels for mages' sperm!" Bickslow cackled.
Laxus rolled his eyes, but smirked when the girl he had been flirting with sauntered back over to him. "Stay the fuck away from my sperm, Bicks. I only have one use for it tonight."
Bickslow laughed as the girl and his leader instantly began making out when she reached him. "Alright, man. See you tomorrow."
Laxus didn't respond as he let himself indulge in the woman who was so willing to give it to him. After a few minutes, he led the girl up to his room so he could continue their activities in private.
Once they were done, Laxus haphazardly took the condom off his dick and flung it somewhere to the side, plopping down on the bed. The alcohol was starting to make his head spin, so he just let sleep take over to try and make the spinning stop, paying no mind to the naked girl curled up on his side.
The next morning, a knock on the door woke him up and groaned as pain instantly swirled through his head.
"Hey man! The team's getting breakfast downstairs, you coming?" Bickslow asked as he popped his head inside the room.
"Shut the fuck up and get out!" Laxus shouted as he flung a pillow over his head to try and dull the ache. He heard Bickslow chuckle and a girl shriek.
"Nice, man." Bickslow grinned as he unabashedly watched the girl scramble to get her clothes. She gave him the finger when she got dressed and made her way to the door. "The train's leaving in a few hours."
Laxus just pushed the pillow harder against his head, ignoring the noise of Bickslow shuffling around the room. "Get. The. Fuck. Out."
"Alright, man. Let the team know I'll meet you guys at the train station." A grunt was all Bickslow received as he left the room.
"When I got up, I didn't see the condom anywhere, and I wasn't sure that I even used one for a while." Laxus finished.
Lucy picked her jaw up off the ground and suddenly hugged her knees to her chest. "That is... what the fuck, Bickslow?"
Laxus chuckled. "Exactly." He looked over at her and noticed her change in posture. "What's the matter?"
She didn't look at him. "I just... the sperm that was inside me was inside another girl first... it feels... weird."
Laxus titled his head back, realizing that that would feel weird. He hadn't thought about it that way. He looked back at her and he couldn't help but feel bad. "I know the circumstances weren't the most desirable. But, I'm glad they happened."
She looked at him in shock. "Really?"
"Yeah." He nodded. "I'm glad you're in my life."
"I'm glad too." She smiled. "Still feels weird though."
He chuckled. "I can imagine." He shifted so he could open the bed roll and get inside. "We should get some sleep so we can get up early."
"Alright. Goodnight, Laxus." She did the same, trying to get comfortable on the hard floor of the earth.
"Night, blondie."
Lucy woke up to the sound of a carriage going by on the nearby road. Rubbing her eyes, she took in her surroundings. Stretching, she looked over at Laxus' bed roll, wondering how long they had slept. Her eyebrows furrowed when she noticed his bed roll was empty, and she looked around for him. "Laxus?" When she didn't get a response, she got up and started looking around for him. His backpack was still by his bed roll so he couldn't have gone far. She hoped he had just gone to pee or something. "Laxus?"
She froze when she heard a bush rustle nearby. He heart pounded as she went to investigate. She didn't know why she was nervous, but something just didn't feel right. She nearly jumped out of her skin when something jumped out, grabbing her keys in preparation. She sighed in relief when it turned out to be a bunny. She laughed at herself as it just stared at her, twitching its little nose. "I almost killed you." She watched it hop away before she sighed, looking around again. "Where the fuck did he go?"
"We're gonna be rich!"
She turned towards the voice and stalked forward as she heard a few men laughing. Crouching beside a tree, she gasped at what she saw. Two men were dragging an unconscious Laxus through a clearing, three more men walking alongside them. "How the hell did that happen?" She whispered to herself. Looking closer, she noticed something glowing around his wrists. "Shit." She put her head in her hands as she thought about what to do. After a few moments a light bulb went off in her head and she decided to just follow them and see where they go.
After half an hour, they finally dragged the hulking man into a cabin that looked pretty small. Once they went inside, Lucy grabbed her keys and called out Gemini.
"Piri! Piri!"
"Hey guys, I need you to transform into me. They took my guild mate, and I need you to cause a distraction while I go in from the back. We can both hit them at once. Got it?"
They transformed into an exactly replica of herself and gave her a thumbs up. "Great. Let's go."
Gemini wasted no time and headed straight for the front door and knocked. The door opened and a man grabbed Gemini and dragged her into the house, slamming the door. Lucy groaned and slammed her head into her palm, that was so not the plan. Sighing, she swiftly moved around to the back of the house and looked through the window.
Laxus groaned as he regained consciousness. He felt a restraint against his arms and he furrowed his brows as he opened his eyes to see five men sitting in the room. He couldn't believe these assholes had actually captured him, what cheap shots. He pulled against the chains, gaining the room's attention.
One of the men stood up and grinned at him. "Laxus Dreyar."
"What the fuck do you want?"
"You see, you're a very popular mage. I'm sure your guild master would pay a pretty penny to have his grandson safely returned."
Laxus rolled his eyes, doing a double-take when he noticed Lucy chained to the wall next to him. Fuck, they got her too. His eyebrows furrowed when she just looked at him with a weird smile on her face. Something was... off about her. "Lucy, you okay?"
The man chuckled as he walked up to Gemini and moved her head to look at him. "Looks like it's a two for one day."
"Don't touch her!" Laxus growled, causing the men to laugh at him.
"Looks like we got a loverboy on our hands." The man holding Gemini's chin cackled. When he turned back to look at the girl, his smile dropped as she just stared at him with a weird smile on her face. "The fuck is wrong with you, girlie?"
"Piri! Piri!" The man dropped her chin and reeled back, entirely weirded out. Laxus was looking at Lucy like she was an alien.
"Now!" A voice shouted and suddenly the Lucy chained to the wall transformed into two small blue creatures. They both smash themselves against the heads of two of the men. At the same time, the back window was smashed in, glass flying everywhere as the real Lucy jumped into he room, flinging her whip. It wrapped around the arm of one of the men and she pulled, causing the man to fly into his comrade.
Laxus watched as Lucy elegantly flicked her wrist, her whip following her command as it wrapped around the last man standing's neck. She pulled hard, kicking him in the chest as he flew towards her.
"Stop or I'll kill him!"
Lucy whipped her head around to see one of the men holding a knife to Laxus' throat. She didn't even bother negotiating with the man, she just brushed her fingers across her keys. The man grinned in victory when Gemini disappeared, but he yelped when the ground suddenly fell out beneath him, Laxus grunting as the knife cut him in the process.
Virgo popped up from the ground beside Lucy, the now unconscious man in her arms. Virgo bowed to her master. "Punishment, princess?"
"No, Virgo. Can you tie these men up?"
"Of course, princess."
Lucy made her way over to a stunned Laxus as Virgo began putting chains around the men strewn around the room. "Are you okay?" She asked as she grabbed one of his chains, putting one leg on the wall as she pulled as hard as she could. The chain broke and Lucy fell on her butt with and 'oomph', breaking Laxus out of his stupor and causing him to chuckle.
"I'm great, blondie. Are you?"
"Peachy." She stood up rubbing her behind as Laxus used his now free hand to break the other chain.
"That was pretty impressive, blondie."
"Thanks." She walked over and studied the cut on his neck. "Virgo! I need bandages."
"Yes, princess." Virgo bowed before she disappeared. She reappeared not a moment later, handing Lucy a small medical kit. "The men are secured. Punishment?"
"Thank you, Virgo. And no, no punishment." Lucy opened the kit and pulled out some disinfectant.
When Virgo disappeared, Laxus focused on Lucy. "So, do you beat your spirits?"
Lucy glared at him as she opened a large bandage and lined it up with his neck. "Of course not! That's just the way Virgo is. All of my spirits can be a little unique."
"What was the one from before?" He asked as she smoothed out the bandage.
"That was Gemini. They can transform into anyone of equal or lesser magic than my own."
Laxus grunted. "Your magic is interesting."
"You think so?" She smiled as she studied her work.
"Definitely." Suddenly, he grabbed the back of her neck and smashed her lips against his. She gasped in surprise, but melted when his tongue slid along her own. He relished in the way her body sunk into him and he wrapped his other arm around her waist, pulling her closer. His pants got tight when she mewled and moved her body against him. Reluctantly, he broke the kiss when he heard one of the men groan as he started to regain consciousness and he rested his forehead against hers, reeling in his self control. He looked at her flushed face and couldn't help but smile. "Thanks for the rescue, blondie."
"N-No problem." She stammered, shocked and dazed.
He nodded his head to the side. "I'm gonna call the rune knights so they can arrest these fuckers, then let's head home, okay?"
Nodding, she stepped back so he could could do just that. "Sounds good." She smoothed out her hair as she tried to slow her heartbeat down to a normal rhythm. She noticed the slight pink hue on his own cheeks and she couldn't help the giddy smile that crept onto her face as he left the small cabin. She took a deep breath to recompose herself before she followed after the man.
I just wanted to see Lucy save Laxus' ass for a change.
