"We´re still going to help you. Steve can´t stop us from doing that." Natasha ducked under a right hook from May and tried to kick her legs out from under her, but was blocked.

"Thank you. I knew you wouldn´t change your mind about it." May showed the Russian woman a small smile. She knew Nat long enough to know that Steve Rogers wouldn´t be able to stop her from doing anything she wanted to do.

"I want to apologize. Steve was out of line in the meeting." Natasha blocked a few punches from May before taking a leap back from her to bring space between them. This was fun.

"It´s not you that should apologize. You haven´t done something like that until now, from what I know. This isn´t the moment to start that. Let him apologize when he comes to his senses. If not, well, he will have a hard time when he comes to us for help if he needs it."

"I don´t think that he will come to ask for help without us forcing him to it if he keeps his standpoint."

"Then that is his problem. If you should need help come to us. No matter what he says."

"I will and if it comes to it we will overrule him. The life of others come before everything else." Replied Natasha because it would be the right thing to do. She found it strange that Cap behaved in this way with this. "Skye seemed to take what he said personally."

"She was a fan of the Avengers. Caps behavior has put a dampener on her point of view of him. The people we want to help are our friends and she would do anything to help them." Explained May her rookies behavior. She still remembered the first questioning of Skye when they met her and how she said that she had one time cosplayed as Iron Man before the Avengers tower.

"We´ll get them out of capture. Maybe Cap will come around with time. You know how old people are with unpredicted things. They don´t like them in the beginning." The red head couldn´t help but put a joke on the end of it. "How about we freshen up and meet in the living room for a drink?"

"Sure, why not? I could use one." Agreed May and left the training mats to get her towel and a bit of water before taking a shower and meeting up with Nat to grab that drink.

"What exactly are you trying to prove?" Skype sounded unhappy because Cap had just rudely interrupted her training session. Only two hours before had the Doc cleared her for light training. She wanted to get her muscles used to exercising again which was why she had started her workout with a few rounds around the mats and a bit of stretching.

"You. Me. A round on the mats. Now." Replied the past poster boy of the US military. This young woman just rubbed him the wrong way. He didn´t like her attitude.

"You do know that my injury was cleared just two hours ago?"

"Not my problem. You S.H.I.E.L.D. people usually don´t care about something like that." Cap stepped onto the mats and entered a fighting stance.

"You´re funeral." Replied Skye and followed him. She had not the least bit desire to let him get near her. He would be surprised about what would happen in this fight. Her powers made long distance fights possible for her which he probably didn´t know. She would assess his strategy for this fight and go from there.

"An earthquake, here?" Natasha looked up from her book as the building began to shake. Normally those didn´t occur around here and even if, the tower was specially constructed to withstand many things.

"Not a natural one, Nat." May stood up and shook her head. What was Skye up to now or rather who was the cause for the usage of her powers? May knew that the younger one had wanted to train a little but without using too much of her powers.

"What do you mean?" questioned the Russian and followed May as she left the room with hurried steps. This magnitude of an Earthquake was dangerous if it was of a natural cause and an unnatural one? In her book even worse if handled incorrectly.

"That is Skye."

"She is that powerful?" Natasha was surprised. Sure, she knew that the Inhuman could manipulate vibrations and/or frequencies because they had told her. But at this level? That was something else.

As they reached the training room they stopped before the glass wall that let them look inside.

Right now Cap was running towards Skye with one hand formed as a fist and he seemed pretty angry from the look on his face.

"That won´t end well." Said Natasha with a grimace on her face. Her team leader seemed to go all in. Why she could only guess.

"I agree but for Steve Rogers not for Skye." The dark-haired women had a sure and smug tone to her voice as she said this sentence. The Avengers didn´t know at all was her rookie was capable of which showed itself right now. If Steve Rogers would have known what Skye could do he would never use a direct approach to this fight.

Before Natasha could question what exactly her old friend meant with that, the two fighters met each other in the middle with a loud "bang" and a powerful blast.

It was Cap that crashed into the wall behind him while Skye only took a few steps back as a result of the clash. She had activated her powers shortly before their fists had a chance to connect with each other and the resulting vibrational charge had pushed him back into the wall.

May shook her head and opened the door to stop this madness.

"This ends right now!"

While Skye immediately let the fighting stance go, Steve didn´t seem to get the memo that this had ended. He pushed himself out of the pile of rubble that was left of the wall he had crashed into and ran again in her direction, which caused May to pull her icer from a hidden spot under her jacket to shoot at him. Before Cap could reach her rookie, she had him pumped full with every bullet in her weapon which was enough to take him down.

"What did you do?" the Russian spy looked highly irritated at May. Cap may be a super soldier but he wasn´t invincible. Even if the usual bullets barely left a scratch on him.

"I pumped him full of every icer bullet I had in my icer." Replied May and looked over to Skye, who was lightly kicking her boot at Cap´s shoulder to check if he was conscious, which he wasn´t.

"He´s out cold, May." Skye sounded highly amused. "Seems like this is a rather easy way to take out a super soldier."

"What is an icer?" wanted Natasha to know. She had never heard of a weapon with that name that caused a reaction like this.

"An icer is a nonlethal weapon to take out a threat. Two of our best scientists created these and they have been useful for us." Answered May with a shrug of her shoulder. "Why were you fighting with Cap, Skye?"

"He came in here and demanded we fight because he didn´t like my attitude or something like that. I don´t really know. He seemed slightly angry." Replied the younger woman and shrugged her shoulders. If she wanted to Steve Rogers wouldn´t even be able to reach her.

"Let´s leave him lying there. It will take him a while to wake up and we should go check your shoulder. If it´s gotten worse, he will regret it."

"What did happen there, Steve? I don´t get it." Nat was deeply disappointed with her friend and teammate. Their visitors had shown not the least bit of hostility toward them. Maria knew them for years and trusted them as did she.

"We don´t know if we can trust them. What if Hydra is still a part of them? Then, how can the A.T.C.U. gain so easily access to them? The whole situation they're in is nuts." Explained the ex-poster boy of the US military. He had woken up around 30 minutes ago and had himself checked out in medical before coming to her. Apart from a splitting headache, a few bruised and a cracked rib everything was fine.

"It´s not their fault. They are trying to fix this mess."

"This shouldn´t have happened in the first place."

"Nobody is without faults not even us and you know that." Reminded the former russian spy because sometimes Steve seemed to forget that. This incident only showed that to them again.
