Chapter 20

Tracie had heard it all over the phone. She called 15 Division and let them know what was going on to get officers to respond Andy's house for a hostage situation. Tracie was running to her car when she called Jerry.

"Hey, Jerry" Tracie panted in the phone "So there is an issue and I need to speak with Sam. Please put the phone on speaker"

"Okay, Tracie." Jerry said. "Alright he is here, and the phone is on speaker".

"It's a long story, Sam but Marlo is at your house with Andy and the stylist Lily. I was on the phone when Lily arrived, and Andy was shouting in the background that it was Marlo and Lily was screaming about a gun". Tracie tried explaining. "I have already contacted 15 Division and they are on their way. I am responding as well".

Sam didn't say anything.

"Tracie, we are on the way as well. See you in a minute". Jerry replied an hung up the phone. Sam had grabbed his gun and truck keys and was out the door with Jerry sprinting to catch up.

Gail and Chris were paired as was Shaw and Chloe. They were grabbing a late breakfast together talking about the wedding tonight.

"All units respond to 155 Province Lane. Hostage Situation. Subject has been identified as Officer Marlo Cruz. She is reported to be armed and dangerous" dispatch came over the radios.

"That's Sam's address" Shaw stated. "What the hell is Marlo doing out of jail?"

They all ran to their cars and responded with lights and sirens.

Both squads pulled up to see Sam's truck parked half on the sidewalk/half in the street.

"This isn't going to be good" Shaw said as he climbed out of the car.

Sam and Jerry were the first ones to arrive. Sam came to a skidding stop and was out of the car and to the front door before Jerry could get out of the truck. No other officers were in sight.

Sam used his key and went into the house. Jerry cautiously followed staying hidden in the entry room.

"Marlo, it's me Sam. I heard you were at the house" Sam said as he stepped into the living room.

He saw Andy sitting on the couch, she didn't look like she was injured. The other lady was tied up with duct tape over her mouth.

"It's nice of you to finally join us" Marlo said as she pointed the gun at Andy's head. "It's time for us to get rid of her and get married".

Sam looked at Andy. He was terrified for her and their babies. Sam knew what he had to do and didn't like it.

"You are right Marlo" Sam said as he took small steps toward her. "I should have chosen you and not McNally. She is not as beautiful as you are or as strong-willed as you" Sam continued. "Why don't you just come to me, we will leave and be together. If you kill her, I won't be able to stop you for being arrested for murder and we can't be together. If we leave now, I am sure Andy will drop the charges from before and we can live in peace." Sam had made it within a foot from Marlo. He could tell that Marlo was buying it. Andy was adding to this.

"Please, Sam No" Andy said as she was crying.

Marlo got a kick out of this and got a smirk on her face. She knew she had finally won. She kept the gun pointed at Andy but stepped forward and kissed Sam. Sam wrapped his arms around her, kissing her. He used this time to pull her arm down that was holding the gun. Marlo was so distracted that she didn't see Jerry come in behind Sam until he had taken the gun from her hand. The next thing Andy saw was Marlo on the ground face down with Sam on top of her cuffing her.

At this time Shaw, Chris, Gail and Chloe busted in the doors with guns drawn. They quickly realized that things were under control. Tracie came running in soon after. Sam handed over Marlo to Shaw and went to Andy. He held her tight, kissing her, checking her for any injuries.

"Sam, I am fine. She didn't hurt me. I played along to protect myself and our babies". Andy said without thinking. As soon as she said it she realized the mistake she had made. Shaw, Chris, Gail, Chloe and Marlo all stood staring at them.

"Surprise" Sam said as he grinned. Shaw, Chris, Gail and Chloe all started to cheer but Marlo's face dropped.

"I should have fucking killed you when I got the chance" Marlo shouted as she tried to break free from Shaw's grip. Shaw jerked her to the door and to the squad.

"Guys, please don't say anything. We are announcing it tonight" Andy said.

"No problem." They replied in unison

All the officers left the home leaving Andy, Sam, Tracie, Jerry and Lily.

"I refuse to let her ruin this day. Sam, you and Jerry need to go back to his house and finish getting ready. Lily, are you willing to still do my hair and makeup? If not its okay?" Andy said.

"Not a problem" Lily said, "This is a wedding day I will never forget".

Sam and Jerry left the house. Andy got her makeup and hair done. It was a little bit after lunch when Lily started on Tracie's makeup/hair. Two O'clock came around and Tracie and Andy got in her car and headed to the venue. They had decided to put on the dress at the venue instead of fighting with getting in the car with the dress on.
