A.N. Alright this is the official start of season 2...I think. Right off the bat this chapter isn't too long about a thousand words less but it's to serve as more of an prologue to the coming events. The first episode of season 2 was actually 1/2 to 3/4 recap when i checked so i think its fair.

Marcus looked up at the gates to U.A. as he waited for the teacher to arrive. Sayo who was standing right next to him was very quiet, having not spoken since they were called to the school. Glancing at the girl he wounded if the mixture of emotions he felt was anything similar to what his mother had experienced during his own school years. He wasn't going to act all high and mighty about this, he had gotten into many fights before in his youth, and he actually met his bash brother, Agumon in one such fight. Still Sayo was not like him, she didn't fight to prove herself as the greatest, at least not anymore. She fought because she was genuinely in a state of panic and while the teachers mightn't be able to understand why or how she could react like this, he did.

After what felt like ages, the door finally opened and man in black jump suit with a long blonde hair that had been gelled straight up arrived to meet him. From how the man sounded, Marcus assumed he was the pro-hero Present Mic, Sayo's home room teacher. The hero ushered them inside and Marcus found himself walking down the halls of the high school. All the classes were empty, turning the once bustling building into a practical ghost town. U.A. had been closed the after the villains attack, but surprisingly they still decided to call him today to sort of this incident with Sayo, no doubt to try and keep the parents whose kids Sayo thrashed from making a complaint against the school while it suffered the back lash from also having a villain attack on one of their classes. Eventually they arrived at the Principal's office, a place Marcus was very familiar with.

When they entered he was greeted by the Principal of U.A. the short chimera creature, Nezu. Nezu had been more than happy to offer them a seat as they readied themselves for this discussion. No doubt they wanted to get this over with as soon as possible. Joining them was none other than the school nurse, Recovery Girl , a large brute of man that he would have easily called BanchoLeomon but uglier; and Present Mic himself. The exchange in pleasantries went well enough. He learnt that the brute was the guidance counselor, Hound Dog.

"So Mr. Damon, are you aware of why you are here?" The principal asked him.

"First off all; call me Marcus." He responded to the chimera. "I'm not big on formalities." He told him. "And as for your question, from what my charge has told me, she fought against several students and walked away unscathed. This action was prompted in part of her freaking out when she heard a class was being attacked and she felt immense worry for her friends who were in said class correct." He told the Principal.

"That is correct." Nezu responded. "As you can imagine such an incident is not sitting well with the students' parents." Nezu told him.

"Detention, Suspension or Expulsion?" Marcus asked.

"Excuse me." The Principal answered.

"Which punishment are you planning on giving Sayo?" Marcus clarified. He was familiar enough to know that despite a couple centuries difference it was always still the same with schools. "Are her actions consequential enough that she will get detention, expulsion or suspension?" He asked.

"Straight to the point I see." Nezu said. "Well I suppose that it should be noted that the school would usually push this as a detention, but some of the parents of said students are pushing for suspension or even expulsion as the case me be." He told Hudie's leader.

"That's not surprising, after that attack yesterday, I can assume thing are getting quite chaotic." Marcus told him. "Apart from the obvious fighting on the 3rd day of school; are there any other reasons why those parents would want you to expel or suspend Sayo?"

"I can answer that one." Present Mic said. "According to several students, Sayo is a bit of a…" He trailed off trying to find the right word.

"Slacker?" Marcus finished. He had been told by Izuku beforehand of Sayo's habits in class. While she was anything but a slacker in her duties in Hudie, her track record has her with highest rate of cases solved among all others including Marcus himself, she was lacking in other areas…mainly understanding stuff in the real world that didn't pertain to technology and information. She also didn't socialize much outside of clients, Hudie's staff, digimon and people associated with Izuku.

"To put in a way…yes." Present Mic said carefully. "She has been known to sleep regularly in class and whenever she is awake and participates she isn't exactly showing she understands the material at this level." The hero explained. "That said, she has actually finished and completed all assignments given so far, even going as far as to do whatever work was planned out on her course map a head of time and doing them pretty well." He explained.

"We would have expelled her right away had she been nothing but a delinquent but given the nature of the situation; the reasoning for her actions, her academic performances and some other reasons, we are willing to make a compromise." The Principal informed the duo.

"What exactly does this compromise entail?" Marcus asked curiously.

"A month of detention, with an apology to each student and schedule visits with Hound Dog." The Principal said. Marcus pondered the deal. It was fair enough for the average student but he knew his charge wasn't exactly average. He glanced at Sayo noticing the anxious look in her face, no doubt realizing that detention would mean cutting into her work time.

"I'm afraid I will have to decline." Marcus told them.

"You do realize that the only alternatives are suspension and expulsion right?" The Principal asked.

"I'm not saying she did nothing wrong, quite the opposite really I was hoping to rather modify that compromise of yours." Marcus informed them. Nezu rose an eyebrow curious what the man might suggest.

"Modify how?" The Principal asked.

"She still goes through with the apology and the counselling, but I would like to suggest that instead of detention, you give her community service of sorts." Marcus said.

"Community service…what exactly would you define that as?"

"Just like the name suggests, Sayo will be doing a service to school." Marcus said. For the first time since she came in, Sayo now looked at her mentor with a dumbfounded look as he continued. "You are free to choose whatever task she is to do, but my only request is that she does so during the day." Marcus suggested.

"So your suggestion is that instead of punishing her, like a normal student, I should instead make her work for the school." The chimera said in disbelief.

"Not exactly." Marcus told him. "I am well aware that some of those students' parents may have had some issues with Sayo for certain other reasons." Marcus said. Those other reasons could range from her being quirkless to injuring there precious child, detention wasn't going to cut it but he was not going to risk suspension or expulsion either. "Sayo would you kindly step outside the room." Marcus told her. She looked hesitant to resist at first but the young girl reluctantly made her way outside.

Once Marcus was sure she was out of earshot she turned back to the teachers. "Listen I'm not going to say she's innocent but I'm also not going to pretend like everything will be fixed once this over." He told them. "I am well aware that if we try to solve this the way you want, she'll go back to class with that incident held over head. Her classmates won't let it go and combine with her quirklessness she won't exactly have it easy." He explained. "Transferring whether it be to a different school or a different class is not going to fix anything either." He told them.

"I still fail to see how community service helps." Nezu interjected.

"Community Service is something she knows and thrives on." Marcus explained. "She doesn't quite work well in a school setting but whenever she does community service she is able to almost always get along with the people she does it for." He told them. "I'm also not saying that she skips out on studies. If it's possible I would like to request she just take the notes after classes and still be counted for group work but if that's not possible then maybe she can resume her studies after her punishment period is up." Marcus suggested.

"What you're saying is a rather unorthodox approach to the situation." Nezu said. "But we do have full creative freedom of how we choose to run our affairs here so I'll take it into account." Nezu told him. The phone by the chimera's desk then started to ring. Nezu apologized for the interruption before he quickly took the call. "Sorry about that." Nezu apologized. "But it seems some urgent business has come up so we will need to postpone this meeting." He informed. Marcus simply nodded; he too had a meeting to attend to later. The Principal assured him that there was no immediate decision on Sayo's punishment but they would see about it as soon as possible, she would however be allowed to attend school as regular tomorrow while they sorted out the matter. He was then escorted out by Present Mic.

Once Marcus was out, Nezu turned to his other two staff members. "Well that went well." He told them.

"They didn't seem to know about All Might's secret; otherwise they may have used that info to blackmail us into letting her stay." Recovery Girl said.

"I wouldn't be too sure about." Hound Dog said. The two turned their attention to him. "They could be well aware of the consequences of making such a threat and instead kept quiet." He told them. "Personally I'd say we give into his conditions. Not only would we get to keep a closer an eye on her but it would also be healthier for her as well if what he's saying is true."

"I do see your reasoning." Nezu said before he turned to Recovery Girl. "How serious were those injuries again?" He asked the nurse.

"No bones broken, but there was a lot of bruising and she did dislocate a few of their shoulders." The nurse said. "I'd say we can push for a detention if need be, but most likely we'll have to suspend her."

"Well I suppose we'll just have to go along with Mr. Damon's suggestion for the time being. I'll speak to the rest of the staff about this and get their input." Nezu said. "You are dismissed." He told the two of them. Hound Dog left but Recovery girl stayed behind for a few moments.

"You know he looked very familiar." The nurse said. "I don't know if it was him or his father, but I recall meeting a man who looked identical to him in my youth. He was the one who had convinced me to become a nurse in the first place, but he disappeared a while after that meeting." She told the Principal as she left.

Nezu pondered the old lady's words before he looked back at his computer. Something had been off about Marcus and Sayo. There was something different about them. He would have brushed it off as them being quirkless but he had been around several quirkless individuals before, this was different. His high specs quirk had allowed him to gain intelligence greater than that off a human but the cost meant he traded some of the benefits of his animal instincts. Humans had often said that maybe animals were able to sense changes in the spirit world and while Nezu himself never experienced such thing, he knew of animals that did. He wondered if such a disturbance was what he was feeling these past few days or was it a warning about the U.S.J attack. Regardless of what it was he would need to investigate this matter soon.

Alright so one thing I'm gonna say, I am not going to follow the actual season 2 guide all the way. I got a 2 weeks before sports festival and I intend to use that for some Hudie shenagins.

As for Sayo...

In the last arc, I had a scene planned where Sayo would meet hear about the USJ incident and try to rush to help. Now because she is a quirkless civilian right of the bat people are going to think she's crazy. She would try to go help them but the students stop her, either for thinking she is overreacting or because the teacher's informed them to stay put. Regardless she gets desperate and fights her way out of her class. Considering her job, you can guess what happens to her class mates. I'll didn't delve into it before, because it felt like it would be more like padding since it wouldn't get any meaningful conclusion like the rest of the usj arc. Therefore it is now something that happens in the aftermath like the usj itself, here.

This period before the sports fesitval is going to be Sayo's story arc alongside Hudie so I hope you all are ready. As for Nezu and Recovery Girl, I've alluded that Marcus was around for a long time, before quirks actually so i figured he could meet Recovery girl at some point in his life and just forget about it (300 years can be a lot).

With Nezu...there are theories about animals seeing spirits, the dead and other worldly creatures. Nezu is an animal with a quirk. There are also theories about digital world's origins, some say it existed before humans, some say it existed because of humans and some say it existed before and was shaped by humans. So it only seemed logical that the he will sense something off.

Alright the discussion now for the question.

What are some case ideas you all might suggest for Sayo and Izuku to do this next few chapters and what do you think of Sayo's punishment of community service?

I've actually got a few cases planned but a lot can happen in 2 weeks.

As always review, follow and fav and stay safe.
