Hi there I'm sorry it took forever for me to update, I was trying to do this Chapter justice and I'm really happy with how it turned out! Enjoy!
"Alexis, come home, come back to me." Kylo's brown eyes were soft as his hand stroked her cheek. She leaned into his touch a tear falling down her face.
"I wish I could, but I can't not right now," Alexis whispered. Kylo brushed a strand of hair out of her face. His movements were gentle, and she lingered on his touch.
"I have a hard time believing that you have no checks in stock," Alexis jolted back into reality as an older woman crossed her arms and rolled her eyes at her.
Alexis smiled and repeated, "I'm sorry ma'am you have to order them online, "Alexis handed her a paper with her the website on it. "Have a nice day," She forced herself to grin causing the woman to scoff and stomped off. Melissa stifled a laugh.
Alexis thought that if she went back home to earth, she could bring back some type of normalcy in her life. She. Was. Wrong. The past year of her being at home, nightmares plagued her and kept her up at night. Everything from the death that she saw in battle or the childhood trauma she has spent years avoiding resurfacing and the incident with the pilot flash past her eyelids. Sometimes they were mild that just kept her awake, but other times they were so vivid and wretched that she would wake and instantly become nauseous.
That daydream she had was the closest she had been with Kylo since she left him. She forced herself to distance herself from their force connection. Melissa nudged her and shook her out of her stupor. "We are going out tonight?" Melissa wiggled her eyebrows.
Alexis sighed in relief and nodded, "Yes! You read my mind," another new habit she started out with since being home. Before she embarked on her Star Wars journey. The quiet introvert she once was had faded away and she now went out almost every weekend and drowned her sorrows.
Melisa clapped her hands a huge diamond on her left ring finger from her engagement last year, "Yay I'll pick you up at 8 I'm glad that you have come around to this going out adventure." She closed her drawer and locked it. She waved as she left her to close by herself again. Alexis rolled her eyes as she began closing the bank. She walked out and locked the doors ready to go home to get herself ready for whatever and whoever waited for her at the bar.
Alexis sat in her car and sighed and closed her eyes, she would be lying if she said that she spent her time forgetting, Ben, Poe, Finn, and Rey all of them. She did not want to think about what she left behind. Whenever she closed her eyes, she saw the disappointed look on Poe's face because she cowardly ran away without saying goodbye. The look on Ben's face when he found it difficult to feel her presence through the force. The guilt was overwhelming for her on a good day any other day it was crippling. Jolting herself out of her inner dialogue with herself and started her car.
She opened the door of her apartment stripped away from any Star Wars memorabilia. The memory vivid in her mind, the night she had returned home, she had destroyed everything Star Wars, the cardboard cutouts, the movies, the fan art she wanted no memory of what happened. She wanted to forget the battles, the attempted assault, and the guilt of leaving friends that cared about her, the only way she could forget was to drown it away in alcohol consumption and taking it down all the memorabilia.
She walked into her bedroom and stripped from her work clothes. She wore a blue bra with matching underwear as she is walking toward her closet. Alexis skimmed through her closet and pulled out a neon pink halter dress she put it on the garment hugging every curve of her body. She continued to admire her body in the mirror when her phone began to ring. She walked over and answered it, "Hello?" Silence reached the other end, "Hello? Anyone there?" She received no answer and hung up the phone. Going back to her vanity to put on some makeup, a dark smokey eye with a nude lip. She put her hair up in a tight air bun with two loose strands shaping her face. She looked herself in the mirror barely recognizable from the woman she was a year ago, life was easier before she found out where she came from and who she was related to. Life was easier thinking that she had left Kylo to die, instead of being another person in his life to leave him after saying that they would not. She rubbed her temples ready to leave. Right on cue, she heard the horn honking outside. She grabbed her small handbag and ran out of her apartment.
Outside, she was greeted to Melissa her bronze skin highlighted by a bright Yellow Dress hair in a high long ponytail, "Let's go, Bitch, the love of our life could be waiting for us!" She yelled. Alexis hopped in the passenger seat and just as the door latched Melissa was speeding down the street.
The bar they usually attended was about 30 minutes from Alexis's apartment so if they got too intoxicated, they always were able to walk home. Melissa parked the car and the two women got out of the car and headed over to get in line at the bar. A few minutes of them waiting and they were greeted by blazing lights and the thrum of the music. Melissa grabbed her hand, "I'm going to get us some drinks I'll meet you on the dance floor. Alexis nodded and made her way to the dance floor.
Alexis began dancing to the beat of the music personal space not being an issue for her. Melissa found her through the crowd and handed her a drink. The two began their descent into drinking and dancing. The two were dancing for about an hour or so and each girl had about 4 drinks apiece.
Alexis began dancing on her next round of drinks as she felt hands wrapping around her waist and bringing her closer to the other body. Alexis began grinding on her newfound partner looking up at Melissa and finding her in a similar situation. She instantly swatted him off and flashed the shiny ring on her finger, as she looked in Alexis' way, she lifted her hands giving her a thumbs up indicating she approved of her new dance partner.
Alexis turned around wrapping her arms around the man's neck and she was not disappointed when she turned around. He was a taller gentleman angular jaw, long hair that may have been some dark color, with the different colored lights at the bar she could not tell the difference, Alexis could careless he was by all means handsome.
"Hi, gorgeous, may I buy you a drink?" Alexis nodded her head not bothering to ask for his name she moved with him over to the bar signaling to Melissa that was where she was headed.
The duo had a few drinks and focused on the movements of the other one's bodies for most of the night. Alexis was beginning to feel tired and stood on her tippy toes to reach the man's ear, whom she still had not gotten his name, "Would you like to come back to my place?" The man eagerly nodded his head, and Alexis grabbed his hand and went over to Melissa who was drinking water to drive home, "Mel, Drive us back to my place?" Her friend nodded her head and they walked out of the bar and headed toward her friend's vehicle. The man began nibbling on her ear causing Alexis to giggle.
In a matter of moments, Melissa had pulled up in front of her apartment. The man had gotten out of the car and Alexis grabbed Melissa's hand and gave it a squeeze, "You know what to do if you ever feel uncomfortable?" Melissa whispered the man did not hear.
Alexis smiled, "Yes mom, thank you for driving, I'll see you Monday. I love ya!" Melissa blew her a kiss and drove off.
Alexis grabbed the man's hand and unlocked the door and let him go in first. She was about to walk in, and hair raised on the back of her neck and her back straightened she felt as though she was being watched. She turned to see no one there, she shrugged it off and walked into the building and led the way to her apartment. As they entered the apartment and she shut the door his lips instantly found hers. The kisses were sloppy and needy, and they sped up quickly.
The man grabbed her butt and pulled her closer to him. He began groping and kissing down her neck causing Alexis to release a moan. She began buttoning off his shirt and nibbling on his ear. He growled and lifted her up and carried her to the bedroom. He laid her on the bed, and he took off his shirt and began removing his pants. She began to fiddle with the zipper of her dress but could not reach and the man hiked up the skirt of the dress and removed her underwear.
The kisses began getting sloppier as the two of them longed for each other and, she moaned loudly as he entered. He began thrusting as kissed down her jawline to her chest and back up to her lips. "You know I don't know your name, beautiful," he said breathlessly.
She looked at him as he began to glimmer with sweat, "I don't care to know yours." She retorted eyes closed letting herself go and taking in the experience. When she opened her eyes, she did not meet the eyes of the person she had brought home with her. No, she saw the familiar brown eyes that she had fallen in love with staring back into her blue ones. His features the same with a scar over where she had hit him with her saber a year ago, she had forgotten how beautiful he was.
"Princess?"
"Ben."
A blink and he was gone, and she was faced with the man from the bar. She pushed him off her which caused him to complain but she could not hear it. "Leave."
"Seriously? You, bitch, at least finish me off?" Alexis turned to him with anger filling her eyes.
Before she had time to retort, she heard someone from the door, "She said to leave, so leave," She turned and could not believe her eyes. The man put his clothes on and stomped out.
Alexis pulled down her skirt and tried quickly to cover herself off as she looked up, "Hey, Pilot."
Poe smirked, " Hi, Sparky."
