We get the final confrontation with Apollogeist, at least in this series. We'll be seeing more of this guy later. Seriously, having seen the series, I can tell just why he was so popular. But anyway it's time for the old classic… Resurrecting monsters that were better off dead. Disclaimer: I don't own Kamen Rider, Angel Beats, or any other referenced media.
*The four previous Riders, X, Angel, Life, and SSS, drive down the road. They part their formation to reveal a blue-armored warrior with eye symbols over his armor, driving a modified Suzuki TM250. This is the last of the Battlefront Riders, Kamen Rider Eyez on his Sapphire Storm.*
Kamen Rider X!
*With that declaration, the music begins as we get our title.*

*With each declaration, we see first X, then Angel and SSS, and finally Life and Eyez leap up a hill on their Rider Machines.*

The final Rider is Ayato Naoi, who's brother was killed in a car crash instigated by GOD, sending Ayato's life spiraling into depression.
*The five Riders reveal their human forms in turn.*
Reborn with the rest of the Kamen Rider Battlefront, Ayato joins Yuzuru, Kanade, Hideki, and Yuri, in the fight against GOD.
*They race across the screen in Rider form, passing by each other in midair.*

Chapter 21: The Last Hurrah of Apollogeist
Inside the Palace of Apollon, the secret base of GOD, Apollogeist was training at the shooting range. He had been doing for three hours every day ever since he was revived. His goal was to finally obtain the skills needed to defeat the Kamen Riders once and for all. However, something was off this time as he stared in shock at the target. "I missed the bullseye!? But how!?" He took a closer look, then stared at his hand. "Get me the results from the past week of training. Something is really off."
The targets were lined up, and the results were as Apollogeist feared. "I normally able to score three bullseyes. But three days ago I missed one. Then yesterday I missed two. Now I've missed all three shots! Could something have gone wrong with my trigger finger?" A guard came in with some coffee for him. But when Apollogeist went to pick up the cup, he wound up dropping it almost immediately. "Is something wrong sir?," the guard asked, "You don't look well."
"I fear something may be very wrong," Apollogeist admitted, "I was revived into an immortal body, and yet… Could something have happened with Kawakami and Miyamoto's operation?" "Miyamoto should still be in his office right about now," the guard said, "Perhaps you should speak with him. If anyone would know what was wrong, he would." Apollogeist nodded. "I'll go do just that."
Miyamoto was shocked to see Apollogeist appeared clinging to the ceiling of his office. "Why have you come here?" Apollogeist dropped down. "I came here to ask about my resuscitation." Miyamoto rubbed his chin. "So, your body is starting to malfunction." Apollogeist nodded. "For the last three days my fingers have seizing up." Miyamoto nodded. "I figured it would happen sooner or later. The truth is… The operation that revived you could only last for a month."
Apollogeist was shocked. "A month?" "I'm afraid so," Miyamoto said, "Your body is breaking down. First your fingers start going into paralysis, then you'll lose control of your legs. Before long, your brain will cease to function. I'd say you have until tomorrow at the latest." "There must be way to reverse the process," Apollogeist said, "You revived me once. Can't you do something about this?" "I wouldn't be able to without Kawakami," Miyamoto pointed out, "I was in charge of your cybernetics, but he was the one who introduced the super cells into your organs."
Apollogeist sighed. "I should never have killed him. If I had known this would happen…" "It may be possible to improve your cybernetics to hold your body together," Miyamoto suggested, "But you would need Kamen Rider X's Perfecter, the device he plugs into his mouth guard that lets him use his cybernetics at full capacity. With that attached to your heart, it might just solve your problem."
"Then it seems I have more reason than even to kill him," Apollogeist said, "Thank you Doctor Miyamoto. Your role is over!" He killed Miyamoto with his Apollo Magnum. "I have at least until the end of the day to kill Kamen Rider X at the very least. Then once my body is back to its full potential, I will finish off the other four Riders. Before this body runs out… I must kill Kamen Rider X and take his Perfecter!"
Later Tobei was watching the Riders training their bike skills, only for him to get attacked by what appeared to be Miyamoto. Yuzuru quickly stopped the attack, shocked when he recognized Miyamoto. Just then, the body stood up. 'Yuzuru Otonashi. I assume you recognize my voice?' "Apollogeist!," Yuzuru realized. 'This is my final challenge to you,' Apollogeist said, 'We'll settle things at the Palace of Apollo's fighting arena. Be there in twelve hours, or I will send an all-out attack to destroy Tokyo. I have sent an idol with a map to the Coffee Shop COL.'
The body fell over, and the group hurried off as the corpse started dissolving before exploding. "Let's check out the coffee shop," Yurippe said. The shop itself was empty, save for the doll shaped like Apollogeist. Inside was the map Apollogeist promised. There was a message on it. "To my greatest opponents," Yuzuru read, "This map will lead you to the Palace of Apollon. But beware, because getting there alive will not be easy. I will be waiting at the arena marked on the map. Signed, Apollogeist."
"What did he mean by that?," Ayato asked. He got his answer when Ulysses, Achilles, and Prometheus suddenly appeared to grab the Riders. "Ah, that old shindig," Yurippe said, "Our predecessors warned us these things might occur." "We're here to make sure you don't get to the Palace of Apollon alive," Prometheus said. "Yeah, one problem with that," Hideki said, "Count how many of us there are." "Well," Achilles said, "There's only five of you, and three of us. Wait…"
The five Riders grinned as the started striking at the Myth Monsters. "You guys should have stayed dead!," Kanade said. "We beat you once before!," Hideki pointed out. "And there's nothing stopping us from doing so again!," Yuzuru declared. The altercation soon went outside. Yuzuru activated his Ridol, Kanade her Angel Player, Hideki his Soul Blazer, Yurippe her Metamorpher, and Ayato his Gogglizer. "Henshin!" "Set Up!"
They leapt into the air as they transformed into their Rider states. "I am the X-factor that will wreck evil's plans! Kamen Rider X! Ridol Whip!" "I am the true messenger of the Heavens! Kamen Rider Angel! Hand Sonic!" "Kamen Rider Life is here! To protect all that lives! Soul Bat!" "I stand on the front lines of battle! Kamen Rider SSS! Mothrang!" "Beware, followers of evil! This Kamen Rider never takes his Eyez off you! Eye-Beam!"
They immediately attacked the revived monsters, Ulysses getting taken out quickly. X hit a button on his Ridol Whip. "Ridol Stick!" He struck the two monster, Prometheus getting sliced in half as Angel slashed him from behind. Realizing he was heavily outmatched, Achilles tried to run for it, only to get grabbed by the Ridol Rope. "Alright, Achilles," X said, "You get one shot to make the most of your second life. I get the impression that you're tired of taking Apollogeist's orders."
Achilles scoffed. "You don't know the half of it! Fine, if it means I don't die again, I'll help you!" Meanwhile, Tobei was looking at the mess made of his shop by the monsters. "Good grief, I wonder if I should GOD a compensation claim." A stack of bills was tossed on the counter. "That should cover it, I think," came Apollogeist's voice. He appeared from behind the counter with an envelope of money. "And this should cover funeral expenses. Either Yuzuru's, or Igarashi's. Depends on whether the Riders can win this time." Tobei took the envelope. "Perhaps I'll ask Yuzuru to have a funeral for you instead." Apollogeist smirked. "We'll see."
Outside the Palace of Apollon, Yuzuru was pretending to be Achilles's captive while the other Riders were in hiding. Achilles showed what appeared to be the Perfecter when the guards asked who was there. The elevator took them down. "Amazing work, Achilles," one of the guards said, "Apollogeist is sure to be pleased." Achilles nodded. "I'll be taking the prisoner to him." No sooner did they enter Apollogeist's chamber, then Apollogeist blasted Achilles's arm off, making him drop the Perfecter.
Yuzuru quickly undid his ropes, weren't tightly tied to allow easy escape, and grabbed the device. "Why did Achilles have the Perfecter?," Apollogeist asked in shock. "A better question," Yuzuru said, "Why do you want it?" Apollogeist finished off Achilles. "An impressive trick, but I saw through it easily." "Oh, I figured as much," Yuzuru said, "It was your guards I had to fool. Though it was kinda ruthless of you to just off Achilles like that. By the way, the other Riders have already infiltrated."
"I'd imagine," Apollogeist said, "Your little distraction made it possible. Though they'll be facing more of GOD's revived monsters." Indeed, Kanade, Hideki, Yurippe, and Ayato were dealing with Hercules, Kronos, and Cerberus. The quartet quickly transformed to take them on. Overwhelmed, Kronos and Hercules managed to escape, but Cerberus was prevented from doing so he was blasted by SSS and Eyez. "Moth Laser!" "Thousand Eyes!" The laser beams quickly disintegrated Cerberus.
The Riders hurried outside and found Kronos and Hercules, beating the tar out of the two. Eyez leapt at Hercules with a flying kick. "Bullseye!" Hercules was sent flying and exploded. Angel then came flying at Kronos. "Overdrive Slash!" The attack sent Kronos flying into the nearby mountain, where he promptly exploded. The Riders then saw X and Apollogeist squaring off at the arena. Eyez noticed Medusa climbing up the arena, looking ready to ambush X. "Thousand Eyes!"
His lasers blasted Medusa off the arena roof, landing in-between the two opponents. Apollogeist scoffed. "Absolutely useless! Kamen Rider X, let's have our final duel without further interruptions!" The two sworn enemies battled, the fight looking pretty evenly matched. The blade on the Apollo Magnum clashed with the Ridol Whip. "Geist Cutter!" Apollogeist launched his discus, X dodging as it exploded on the ground.
The two then clashed in mid-air before leaping away. "Apollo Magnum!" Apollogeist's shot went wide, X surprised that he didn't even have to dodge. "Something's off," SSS realized, "Apollogeist should be a better marksman than that." Apollogeist grunted. "It's happening faster than I expected. My death is upon me one way or another. But I will not die alone!" He leapt to a nearby cliff. "Farewell, GOD!"
He turned himself into a fireball and started rolling at X. X quickly leapt at the fireball with a flying kick. "X Kick!" The strike knocked Apollogeist out of the attack and sent him reeling backward, exploding in a massive fireball as he toppled over. At the same time, the entire Palace of Apollon went up in a giant fireball. 'So you have defeated Apollogeist!,' the General Commander called out, 'But you will soon come to know my true form… As the mighty King Dark! And when that day comes, Riders, you will know true power!' The Riders stood together. "When that day comes, King Dark," X said, "We'll be the ones stopping you."
