Chapter 5- A Secret Worth Keeping

Day 15- Daytime

"So… we're back. I guess. Well, good luck, I'm going to change out of this suit," Tomomi said, then headed off to his room.

"That's probably a good idea," Minako agreed, and decided to take Surudoi with her, who was still shaking. Is Surudoi going to be O.K.? She did see Ai brutally murdered in front of her, though.

I went back to my room, changed out of the dress, and grabbed my E-Handbook which was sitting on the dresser. Huh. I wonder why it's here. Well, basically nothing makes sense here anymore.

I left the room and headed out to the front of the hotel, where some people were gathered around Kujiya, who was waiting impatiently there.

"Why does it take people soooo long to change?" Kujiya complained, crossing its tiny arms. "I found a new place behind the information center!"

"Every new place you've led us has caused a murder to happen," Minako remarked as she walked over to us.

"Well, that's everyone!" Kujiya declared, and walked on its paws to the information center. Huh. I wonder what's new. How does Kujiya, a stuffed hamster, find these things?

Kujiya walked inside the information center, with all seven of us in tow. It led us to a broom closet. Wait- this is the closet that Randamu got locked in! Before the murders started…

"Look at this!" Kujiya announced, and opened up the broom closet door to reveal… a passageway? Huh.

"That wasn't there before," Randamu remarked before following Kujiya into the passageway. After a short walk, there was a door at the end. Kujiya opened it to reveal… woah. What the heck?!

The door led to a walkway, and that walkway led to… a huge ferris wheel, a photo booth, and a big ice cream store. This makes me feel like I'm at an actual carnival! Like I'm here to have fun… but this is just a cover. More than half of the people who used to be here are dead. DEAD. They are Ḑ̷̞͎̱̞̔̎̌̏͜E̷̛͎͇̲̣͋̇͒͑́̓̕Ḁ̶̞̼̜̿D̸̢̨͉̼͎̬̏̌̑̀̅̽̌̀̐͠͝͠.

"Yoo! A photo booth! I love those!" Tomomi exclaimed, and ran off towards the booth. Never knew Tomomi likes photos. H̸̨̏î̷ͅd̷̪̂e̷͕͝a̸̬͗k̴͙͝i̷̗̋ liked photos. Probably, he's a birdwatcher anyway!

"Might as well investigate. Come along, Surudoi," Minako stated, and her and the blank-faced Surudoi walked away. That's probably a smart idea. More clues. I walked away and headed towards the ferris wheel, which was probably the most noticeable thing.

Woah. There was a control panel next to the ferris wheel. I wonder if this works. Should I test it? Yeah, what's the harm?

I went over to the control panel, which had a lever by it with the label "GO". I… don't think a normal ferris wheel would have a lever with the label GO. Here goes nothing! I pulled the lever back, and the ferris wheel made a shuddering noise. Oh, of course it wouldn't work- The ferris wheel started slowly moving. The compartments were moving! The ferris wheel stopped turning when a new compartment arrived at the bottom.

"Woah! That thing actually works!" Katsuo remarked, swaggering over to the ferris wheel.

"Yeah. Didn't expect it to, though," I replied, shrugging. I wonder why Katsuo came over here.

"Do you think I could climb all the way to the top?" Katsuo asked, looking dreamily at the top of the ferris wheel. Probably, because he's the ultimate acrobat.

"Yeah, probably. You were picked to be the ultimate acrobat," I answered, and Katsuo got a gleam in his eyes before starting to do flips and spins that launched him in the air. Geez. We haven't really gotten to see anyone's talents, because of the killing game.

After like a minute, Katsuo yelled from the top, "I made it!"

He sure is talented. I waved to Katsuo and left the ferris wheel. I've checked out the ferris wheel, where should I go next? Hmm… maybe the ice cream store!

I walked towards the store with a giant ice cream on top, and opened the door. A little bell rang out when the door opened. This looks pretty nice. A little too nice for an abandoned theme park…

"Oh, hi Ayona!" greeted Randamu, who was looking at the labels on an ice cream machine. I should probably look around. Learn my surroundings, right?

I walked over to a door in the back, behind the ice cream counter. I tried and succeeded to open the door, after shoving against it. Well, this is very cold. I shouldn't stay in here for too long.

The first thing I noticed in the walk-in freezer was a wall of weird things. Are these like… drawers or something? The other thing that I noticed was a box, filled with.. Oh. A bunch of alcoholic drinks were sitting inside. Isn't this an ice-cream shop?

"Whoa. This is one big freezer," said Otoko, who opened the door and walked inside.

"You said it," I agreed, and walked out of the freezer, shivering a bit. I went over to the ice cream counter, which had actual ice cream in it. I wonder… I touched a bit of the ice cream, which was cold. Yep. It's still cold.

"Do you think it's poisoned?" Randamu asked, coming over to where I was standing.

"You never know, heh. Could be the next motive," I answered, moving away from the ice cream.

"It still looks pretty good," Otoko added, coming over to the both of us. If someone eats it and is fine, I might as well have some.

I left the ice cream shop, and headed over to the photo booth, which was where Tomomi went.

"What the heck?!" Tomomi exclaimed, standing next to the photo booth.

"What is it?" I asked, coming over to Tomomi, who looked white with terror.

"Well, I was going to take pictures of me… but these pictures came out," Tomomi said, and showed me the pictures he was holding. Woah… what the heck?!

It was a photo of Tomomi, except there weren't any pupils in his eyes and there was a bunch of blood on him.

"This is some nightmare fuel… is it just another trick?" I commented, giving the photo back to Tomomi.

"Hey, why don't you take a picture in here? Let's see what comes out!" Tomomi thought out loud, and pushed me in the photo booth. I guess…

I sat in the room, and pressed a button in front of me. A countdown came on the screen in front of me, and when it reached zero, it flashed. Geez… my eyes!

"The photo is coming out!" Tomomi exclaimed, and I stumbled out of the photo booth, rubbing my eyes.

"Is it creepy?" I asked, my vision coming back.

Tomomi handed me the photo, and I sighed. What the heck?! I was sitting in some sort of chair with blood pouring out of my neck in the photo.

"Maybe these photos can tell the future!" Tomomi exclaimed, looking worried. These photos are probably made by Monokuma to scare us… you can't predict the future! That's impossible!

*Beep* "This is a Monokuma announcement! Please make your way to the Hotel, right now! Hurry up!" Speak of the devil! Tomomi and I headed over through the cramped tunnel and went back to the hotel, where Monokuma was sitting on the statue.

"What is it this time...," Katsuo remarked, folding his arms while looking at Monokuma.

"We-ll, I have a motive for each of you guys! You see, I have these photos here for each one of you. Here!" Monokuma stated, and threw envelopes at us. Monokuma laughed as everyone picked up the envelope and opened it.

"What the hell?" Otoko commented, and put the picture back in the envelope. Suddenly, Monokuma grabbed Kujiya and held the hamster up.

"Oh yeah. This stupid hamster is also now part of this game. It can be killed, and can kill you. Have fun!" Monokuma added, and threw Kujiya on the floor.

"Well, isn't this just wonderful," Surudoi spat, and headed down to her room. Well, Surudoi talked. I hope she's ok.

I walked away from the group and headed into my room, with the envelope in my hand. I wonder what's in here. I locked the door, sat on the bed, and opened the envelope.

There was a picture of a white flower inside the envelope. I… don't know what this means. Is it supposed to be important or something. I laid down on the bed, confused. How are these photos going to make us kill each other? Why was Kujiya added to this killing game? Geez…
