Note: This is my top ranked episode of Season 6! It was really hard to choose between this, Inelegant Heart and The 3rd Choir.
'What, a day.' Granger thought to himself as he once again took a sip of old, yet good beer and pondered on the day's events.
1st, he had gotten a call saying someone had broken into one of Hetty's homes, and had shot her security guard (who later died.).
The DOJ lady was questioning the whole team on whether or not Hetty was a suitable boss (among other things), he was also questioned, but refused to sell her out.
Not long after he texted Hetty the sad news about her security guard, Duke, he got news that Hetty had fainted and was taken to the hospital.
'Dear Lord, please let her be okay!' He thought to himself after hearing the news.
Callen and Sam had an idea of baiting whoever was after Hetty: Have Nell go undercover as Hetty (because she's the closest to Hetty's small size) at Dovecote to draw the culprit out, it resulted in a gun fight, Nell made her first kill, and no doubt, The team would be stuck with a very high bill for repairing the house. (well, mainly Callen and Sam.)
Then the real culprit was revealed: Mattias Draeger, Hetty's old Cold War enemy.
He also found out Hetty was okay, it was nothing.
'Feigning collapsing just to get out of a meeting to do who knows what? That woman is something else!' he thought proudly.
'I hope she's okay tonight. I want her back.'
Washington DC
'Oh what an eventful day!' Hetty thought to herself.
She had gotten a text from Granger saying that Duke was dead. (No! He didn't deserve this!' She thought after reading the text.)
Then she collapsed, which was a ruse to get her out of the meeting. ( 'I've been wanting to do this since I got here, I don't know why I waited this long!' She amusingly thought.)
Then was quickly found by Director of NCIS Vance's men, and was taken to a museum to see Vance.
Then she found out why she was there.
Vance knew she was being targeted, and faked the whole 'called to Washington thing' to get her out of LA until the culprit was apprehended.
And she was definitely deeply offended at hearing that.
'How dare he?! He may have thought he was protecting me, but he put my team in the line of fire of whoever is after me!' She angrily thought.
Then she called Nell to ask what was going on, and Nell said Dovecote was under attack.
'I have got to get back home! I can't let my team be in the crossfires of whoever this bastard is!' She thought as she went to bed.
One way or another, Mama Bear was going to protect her cubs!
