"So, we know that Diavolo is hiding in one of our bodies, since he's an alternate persona. But the tricky part is, who exactly could he be inside, out of all of us?" Adora pondered.

"It's gotta be the turtle. I mean, it was the closest one to my gun." Mista said.

"That's not possible. Diavolo wouldn't put himself in a situation where he would be in danger. Besides, I can only sense one life inside and it's Polnareff's." Giorno said.

"You can tell that much just through touch?" Ibara asked.

"Yes. Life force is a mass after all. If I can touch someone, I can tell how many reside within a person." Giorno said.

"Ah, so your plan is to soul-search all of us to locate Diavolo's, is that right?" David asked.

"Yes. As for detecting…" Giorno said, biting his own finger, causing it to bleed. "By watching the drops of blood, I can see if time has skipped by watching the drops on the ground."

"Clever thinking." Hope said.

"No way he's in my body. That cannot be possible." Mista said.

"Then I'll check you first." Giorno said.

"Wait, hold it." Mista said, drawing a replacement gun. "How do I know you aren't the one possessed?"

"When I entered my body, it was already empty. There's no way it can be me." Giorno said.

"But you don't know that for certain." Mista said.

"Enough! You can check me first." Bucciarati said.

Giorno walked slowly towards Bucciarati as blood dripped down his finger. As soon as he was inches away from him, there were suddenly more drops on Giorno's hand… meaning time had skipped ahead.

That's when everyone saw it… King Crimson had appeared, and was about to kill Giorno!

"Giorno, watch out!" Hope shouted as King Crimson went and severed Giorno's arm.

"You saw it! It came from Mista! Spice Girl!" Trish said.

"No! It came from you!" Jexi shouted as King Crimson gripped Trish's Stand.

"Well...now I do feel lucky that you had been born with my blood." Diavolo said.

"Stop him before…" Elementa shouted before Mista's body vanished as it started running down the road.

"He's going after the arrow!" Jexi said.

"We can't let him get to Sonic! Lets go!" Ichiro called as everyone chased after Diavolo. However, Diavolo hastened himself by rapidly skipping through time faster than they could keep up.

"It doesn't matter how fast we are or how many of us there are...we can't avoid his ability." Jexi said.

Entrapta ran before an idea popped in her head. "Ideeeeeaaa! David, you can stop time, can't you?"

"I know I'm crazy, but we don't know if he can even move in stopped time." David said.

"It's true that King Crimson can skip time ahead. But, I have a theory. If you stop time at the exact moment Diavolo does another time skip, it's possible you can freeze him in place!" Entrapta theorized.

"There's another problem. No one else can move in stopped time unless we're holding onto him." Cheetah said.

"Plus, the longest David's time stop has worked has been at least a second, maybe 3. Diavolo can skip upto ten." Jexi said.

"It was a good suggestion, Entrapta. But it doesn't look like there's any way to counter King Crimson's abilities." Hope said.

"But still… I wonder…" David said. "It may just be me that's moving, but… I'll give it a shot. Hopefully those six months worth of training helped lengthen its effects." he said as Cheetah made a scratch on his cheek.

"Just go and hurry! You may not be able to surpass him but...maybe you'll match him." Cheetah said before they heard a sound as they saw Chariot collapse.

"I've done it." Diavolo said, holding the arrow and a defeated Sonic. "I've got it!" he said tossing Sonic into the wall.

"Sonic!" Tails cried.

"He has the arrow!" Frosta said.

"Don't worry...he's not going to be able to pierce himself." Jexi said as the arrowhead broke off from the rest of the arrow. As Diavolo reached for it, Spice Girl emerged and knocked it towards the group.

"You...I take back what I said...you should have never been born." Diavolo said, striking the body with an almost killing blow as the body flew back towards the arrowhead.

"No!" Hope shouted as Diavolo attempted to grab it with King Crimson only for the arrow to just phase through.

"What? It...my Stand is translucent. What is going on?" Diavolo said before seeing other people's bodies starting to glow.

"You figured out how to defeat Requiem, by attacking the thing behind a person's soul. However...you didn't fully destroy yours." Bucciarati said, showing a sphere behind him covered in zippers. "By destroying it completely, everyone's souls will return to their proper bodies."

"Don't! Think about it. Who should be the real king here? The weak are not deserving of the arrow!" Diavolo said.

"Is that so? Then by that logic, since it phased through your Stand, doesn't that make you weak, Diavolo?" David asked.

"Grrr. The power belongs to me!" Diavolo said, going for the arrow.

"No. It doesn't." Bucciarati said, shattering the sphere, forcing all of the souls to be forced out of their current bodies and back to their originals. As this occurred, Bucciarati was seen floating above as Giorno arrived.

"Bucciarati, your original body is back at the colosseum!" Giorno said. "We can still…"

"Giorno...Jexi...Hope...Cheetah...David. On that day, when we met in Napoli...I was reborn. When I betrayed the boss, I was fated to slowly die, but I was reborn. Thanks to you. This is what true happiness is. I have no regrets." Bucciarati said, flying towards Leonora as he started entering her body. "I leave the rest up to you." he said before disappearing.

"Bucciarati… Don't worry. We're not going to let this guy get away." David said.

"How dare you? For the sake of some stupid girl? You vile pukes that someone threw up in the toilet?" Diavolo said as his body slowly began to rise. "Who do you think I am? I, Diavolo, am the one who will possess the arrow!" he said as he turned and started to move away from them.

"You're just going to run away? Run from the ultimate power that exists on this world?" Jexi asked. "Man...never thought the fated king of this world would be such a coward."

"If you run away now, the one who controls the arrow won't be you. It'll be him!" Hope said, pointing to Giorno as he now held the arrow.

"Besides, if I'm not mistaken, aren't you someone who protects their identity? And look, we all still know who you are." Cheetah said.

"So if you run away now… All of your secrets will be revealed. What would be left for you to keep secret then?" David asked.

Diavolo then stopped as he ran back towards them. "You have my thanks, you fools. Now I can keep my pride!" Diavolo shouted.

"Gotcha… Zone Speed: The World!" David shouted as time stopped around him. He released his cheek, letting blood drop on the ground. "I hope this works…"

"How...can this be?" Diavolo growled as both stood in the same frozen plain. "You dare...mimic my power?"

"Mimic? It's nothing like that at all. More like...I took inspiration." David said.

"Grrr...hehehehahaha! You fool. You're in the same space as me! And my King Crimson is much more powerful than you are. I know every move before you make it. I'll kill you, kill Giorno, take the arrow and claim my rightful place as king!" Diavolo said.

"Pretty solid plan. But there's one thing that you haven't taken into account." David said. "I know I can't defeat you, but that wasn't really my intention at all."

"What?" Diavolo asked.

"That's right. I'm just warming you up for them." David said, looking to Giorno, Cheetah and Jexi. "And to test a theory on whether you are able to move in stopped time."

Diavolo gritted his teeth. "You fool! You think stopping time for the both of us will hinder my power?! I will show you that you are outclassed!" he said going at David's chest. "One blow to the heart and this is over!"

However, the attack was suddenly stopped by a hand before it could even get close to David.

"What? But how could…" Diavolo said before seeing Gold Experience there with cracks appearing all over its body.

"Sorry, Diavolo. But my mere presence, along with the Joestars and all their kin… They spit on fate." David said. "Therefore, you were doomed to fail before you could even reach the pinnacle you so desperately craved." he said before he dealt a flurry of kicks to Diavolo before he dealt a final one at the direction of the others. "Time has begun to resume."

Time soon flowed once more as Diavolo stood there more focused on the new Stand that had emerged.

"This world...it will always belong to the righteous, not to someone like you." Giorno said. "My friends may have perished, but their will and their actions will never be destroyed. So, are your actions born of truth or are they superficial, born of evil? We're about to find out. Can you even avoid this destruction, boss?"

"King Crimson!" Diavolo shouted as time was erased. "I couldn't beat that boy. But don't worry. He will get what he deserves. I can see your Stand's movements very clearly. Even once time resumes, you will not be able to stop my King Crimson! I've won!" he said before noticing time was starting to flow in reverse. "What?" he said as his wounds were returning to normal as things quickly returned to how they were before he stopped time. "What?!"

"This is...Requiem." Giorno's stand suddenly spoke. "What you're seeing is the truth. You are seeing the movements created by your abilities, but you will never arrive at the victory you premised. Regardless of who you are, or what abilities you possess, no one will get to their victory standing before me… Gold Experience Requiem. Not even Giorno, who controls me."

Diavolo soon looked around and saw it was the same setting as before. "I...I haven't moved at all from the start!" he noticed.

"Wow...you really lost yourself haven't you." Jexi said. "Guess that's what happens when you underestimate us."

"Who knew someone so secretive...could be so easy to lure out into a trap." Cheetah said.

Diavolo looked at them in shock before looking to Giorno. "Devils...all of you." he muttered.

Gold Experience Requiem then pulled back its fists. "MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA!" it shouted as it proceeded to pummel Diavolo, sending the man flying as he fell right into the river.

"Nice pummeling...but I'm certain he's still very much alive." Jexi said.

"He's right. Shouldn't we...finish him?" Cheetah asked.

"There's no need." David said.

"He's right. Diavolo will never again reach us." Giorno said. "Because I've inflicted upon him something he will never be able to escape."

"A never ending cycle of death." Cheetah realized.

"He'll die every possible death there could ever exist, but he will never again bother anyone." Jexi said.

"A fitting end, to such a repulsive being." David said before looking at the trail of blood from his cheek and smiling. "So, it's finally over. All of it. Italy won't have to worry about his dark designs ever again. And all of his victims can finally rest easy now."

"We should get going then." Jexi said.

"Oi! Where do you all think you're going!" a voice shouted as the turtle stood there. "If someone doesn't pick me up, I don't know how many days it'll take me to reach the colosseum."

"Polnareff? But...but how?" Wendy asked.

"When everyone's souls were being swapped back, I was able to hang onto this turtle Stand. I can't leave this key so I've decided to live here as a ghost." Polnareff said.

"I see. It's a shame. You were a great ally to have, Polnareff." Hope said. "We're… We're gonna miss you."

"Hey! Don't go writing off the dead like that!" Polnareff shouted. "But...for serious matters...there is still the matter of the arrow."

"This arrow...so many people died just because of it. My friends included. So...I will not destroy it." Giorno said.

"Very well. Keep it inside the arrow. That will do it. We all must honor the dead, that is the duty of those who survived." Polnareff said as they started to walk off into the setting sun.

Meanwhile in a faraway countryside…

"What...what will it be next?" Diavolo wondered as he crawled on the ground as a little girl approached him.

"Hey. Are you okay?" she asked.

"S-S...STAY AWAY FROM ME!" Diavolo shouted in fear.
