Maxine had finally reached her home. After the long day she had just had she needed some rest. She dropped her bag and files on the ground in the hall and walked up to her room for the night.
She fell down on her bed and put her hands on her tummy. She stared at the ceiling thinking about the Hammersley and the situation she now founded herself in.
"Oh what a day!" She thought to herself.
She sighed as she fell further and further into her bed. It was a great feeling.

Kate was sitting in her armchair in her living room. Jim was staying the night but she said she needed some space first. She was about to go to bed when her phone rang.
She picked the phone up and saw the name on the phone. She smiled as soon as she saw the name came up on the phone.
"Nav." She laughed as picked up the phone.
"Hi Kate. Just wondering how everyone was?"
"Better now. Missing you."
"I bet they are." Nav laughed.
"So they should be."
"I need to tell you something."
"Sure Nav. What is it?"
"I'm seeing someone else."
Kate was winded. After ET died in a tragic accident only a year ago, she thought Nav might be over the dating game. Obviously not!
"Kate? You still there?" Came Navs voice on the phone.
"Yeah. That's great. I hope you're happy with them."
"Yeah I am."
"It's nice to hear. Anything else?"
"Yeah there's something a little more important."
"What is it?"
"You know they need a XO on the Hammersley until they get back?"
"Yeah."
"Well, I thought it would be nice to see everyone again, so…"
"No way."
"Yep. You're now talking to the new XO of the Hammersley!"
"Oh Nav! I'm so happy for you."
"Thanks."
Kate knew now that Hammersley was in safe hands until she got back. Nav had been a great navigator and friend on the patrol boat. Now she was going to be XO, she would be fine.
"That's all I have to say really."
"Well that's great news! I'm sure they'll be happy to see you."
"Thanks. Can't wait until you join us though."
"Thanks Nicki."
"See you soon." Nav said and put down the phone.
Kate also put the phone down happy that the Hammersley would have some of a future even if Bastoni was in charge.
