19. Farewell for Now

To all my readers,

There are a few things that I would like to say, so we will go in order of importance.

Fist of all, I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has read my story and even more so to those that have left a review. When I started writing this 8 years ago, I would never have imagined that so many people across so many different countries would read and enjoy what I wrote. It most definitely is a humbling experience, and from the bottom of my heart I thank you for reading and letting me know what you think.

Second, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates or news. While I do have a reason for it, I still want to apologize for not saying anything for so long.

With those two things out of the way, I would like to officially say that this story is now abandoned. It is certainly not something that I would've wanted, but unfortunately life has other plans. In short, the mindset that I was in when I initially started writing this story slowly dwindled along with the motivation to continue writing. This was brought on by a variety of things, both external and internal. My life got quite intense for a while after I stopped writing, between finishing university, a masters degree, and now work. These things left me very much not in the mood to write (not to mention several personal issues I was dealing with) and as time went on, I slowly lost interest in the story.

I apologize for the disappointment, and I certainly did not want things to end this way. I'm glad I wrote it though, and as I said before: I am very grateful to all of you for reading and reviewing the story. At this point in time I am uncertain if I will ever pick up the pen and write again. I have done a post mortem on the story to analize what went wrong and how I could do better next time, so if I do write again, I will definitely know what not to do. I do hope I will eventually have the time and the mind frame to start writing again as it is an activity that I do miss.

That is all that I have to say. I hope that we will see each other again in the future when my muse decides to waltz back in. For now, thank you all, stay safe during these trying times. Good luck and farewell!
