Chapter 19: Moving Into The Dorms Part 2
The dorm competition had continued on. Koda showed off his room. Some of the girls were playing with a pet bunny. "Awwww, he's got a bunny!" Mina said, "It's so cute."
"Are you trying to steal our competition?" Kirishima asked playfully. The class ignored Mineta's room because…. Well, you know.
"Alright, who's next?" Katsuki scoffed, clearly annoyed at how he was forced to partake.
"Well, we haven't seen what Jotaro's room is like," Kaminari said.
"Yeah, it would be cool to get a peek at Jojo's life," Kirishima said. "Me too to be honest," Bakugo said. "Eh I don't know guys," Kenshi said.
"Aww, come on Jotaro," Momo said, "We wanna see what your dorm is like."
"C'mon," Kirishima chimed in, "Jojo. Jojo. Jojo."
The other students chanted with him. "Jojo! Jojo! Jojo! Jojo! Jojo!"
"Alright," Kenshi said as he opened the door to his room.
"Here you have it. My so-called man cave." It was filled with dozens of consoles and other gaming systems. There was also a VR gaming system.
"Dude, this isn't a man cave," Kaminari commented, "This is a gamer's paradise. There's a PS5, an X-box, Nintendo Ds, 3DS, Switch and a Wii, the whole Pokemon, Mario and Sonic series, Marvel's Spider-Man, the dragon ball games, the call of duty series, the need for speed series. Dude is there something you don't have?" the boy asked.
Jiro stabbed him with her ear jack. "Do you ever have an off switch?"
"A supportive father." Kenshi whispered.
"Oooooh," everyone said. "But at least I got my mother's support," he said with a smile.
Momo smiled at him. "That's the spirit."
Shoto's room was incredible. "How the hell did you get all this in here?!" Kaminari asked, "Its a FRIGGIN JAPANESE STYLE ROOM!"
"Hard work," Todoroki said, deadpanned.
The last of the boys was Sato. It was basically like a cook's room. "Oh, shit, I forgot I was cooking something. He opened the oven and pulled out a cake. "It tastes better with whipped cream," Sato said, "Anybody want some?"
Everyone took a piece. "Gosh Sato, this is so sweet and fluffy," Izuku said.
"I know, right?" Ochako said.
After the boys were done, Mina suggested showing off the girl's rooms.
The first of the girls was…. Jiro. "Well, here goes nothin'," Jiro said, "This is my dorm." She opened the doors.
"Whoa!" everyone said.
"It's like a recording studio!" Kaminari said.
"It's official, Jiro's a rockstar," Ochako said.
Next was Toru's room. It was filled with dozens of stuffed animals which was her favorite. "It's pretty nice," Ojiro said with a small blush.
Mina showed off her room. "Tadaaaaaa!" Mina said, "It's cute right."
Ochako's room was simplistic in nature, clear of much besides the necessities and the excess of photos of her and Izuku. There were tens, if not hundreds of them, but the photos of her family stood out more, most likely from how they were larger.
Tsu's room was almost like a frog's room. "The last of us girls is Yaomomo!" Mina said. Momo started to open up her dorm room. "My room might be different compared to you guys," she said. She opened the door completely. "It's pretty cramped.
"Holy shit!" Mina said, "This bed is super huge!"
Kenshi looked at her book collection. "Wow this is pretty amazing," he said.
"Alright, who's next?" Izuku asked. "Well, everyone's done and we still have time before curfew so let's go down to the dorms and talk."
"Let's play truth or dare." Momo and Mina answered together.
"Uhh, let's do both," Izuku answered.
The class made their way downstairs and sat everywhere from the sofa near the back of the lobby to the chairs near the dining table. A few even sat on each other's laps.
"Wait, hold up. What can we talk about?" Kirishima asked, his leg bobbing up and down in slight worry.
"We could talk about why we want to be heroes, Kiri." Mina told him. Tsu and Toru snickered at Mina calling him Kiri. "Hush," Mina said to them. "I'll start if you want and we can go in a clockwise direction." Mina offered for everyone to simply nod in agreement. "Alright, I want to be a hero simply because I hate bullies and want to be someone people think they can fall back on."
Kirishima was the first to clap. "Standing up for the weak," he began, "I like that!"
"What about you Kirishima, what's your reason for becoming a pro?"
Kirishima grinned. "My goal is to become a hero like my idol, Crimson Riot, who inspired me to use my quirk," he explained, "But there's another reason. I witnessed somebody standing up for their friends. It inspired me to want to do the same. I just hope I meet this person one day so I can tell them how much they inspired me to be a hero."
"That's amazing," Kaminari said.
"Next to you Todoroki," Kirishima said.
Todoroki turned to everyone. "My goal of being a pro hero is to be a hero on my own terms," he said, "My father is dead set on making me the next no 1 hero after All Might, but he prefers that I do it in his style rather than in my own way. But one day I'll show him that I don't need his name to become a pro."
Toru patted him on the back. "I like that," she said, "You don't allow anyone to tell you how to be a hero."
"Next I choose…. Uraraka." Everyone turned to her. "I dunno," Ochako said, "My reason may seem kinda selfish."
"C'mon, tell us," Mina said, "What goes around Class 1-A stays around Class 1-A. Izuku put his hand around Ochako's shoulder.
"You can do it, my sweet Mochi," he said, making her blush.
Ochako gave in. "I'm becoming a pro for the money," she admitted, "So that I can give it to my parents and help them have a great life and let them retire early." She then hid her face. "I know, it sounds lame and I'm not being pure as a hero."
"What are you talking about?" Iida said, "Becoming a hero to help out your parents isn't a selfish reason at all!"
"Yeah," Izuku said, "With that quirk you could make construction easy for all the workers!"
Ochako smiled. "True," she said, "I just wanna help my parents live an easier life, and return the favor for all they've done for me." Everyone clapped for her reason.
"The next person I choose….. Jotaro!"
Jotaro stepped forward. "My reason for becoming a pro hero is to show the world that you can do anything you set your mind to, despite whatever disability you have," Kenshi said, "As most of you know, I am autistic. But I don't let that stop me from doing what I love. I wanna make a difference and show the world that you can do anything."
Momo shed a tear from her eye. "That was beautiful." She paused to wipe her eyes before shifting her gaze. "Bakugou, you have the floor."
Bakugou walked forward. "My reason is to be the best of the best and hopefully surpass All Might," Katsuki said, "I admire him but I wanna be the best, and that means surpassing even him. Camie, your turn."
"I wanna show the world that illusions can be a useful quirk," Camie said, "Before I met Bakugou, I've been bullied a lot for my personality and for my quirk because they thought it was useless. I'm going to become a pro hero to show the world that no matter what quirk you have, you can still be a hero. Mido, you have the floor."
Izuku stepped forward. "My goal of being a pro hero is to continue the mantle of my father," Izuku said, "For years I was unaware that I was the son of the greatest hero in the world, and now that I know that, I've had this drive in me to keep going despite my hardships." 'With my quirk, I plan to be the best successor I can be, and also help those along the way.' he thinks to himself. "My goal is to be a hero that can save everybody, with a smile on my face despite the hardships." Ochako smiled and kissed his cheek.
"Alright , I'll pick Tsu next." izuku says. "Ok, Kero," Tsu said,
(Insert other students and reasons because there are too many students)
Mineta was the last one left of the boys, but was knocked out by the girls. Kenshi, who was returning from the kitchen, saw Mineta knocked out on the couch. "So what's his reasons for coming to U.A?" he asked.
"Trust me on this one; You don't wanna know," Kirishima said before turning to Momo, "Momo, don't tell him. You shouldn't have told me, but you did, and now I'm telling you, you don't wanna know."
"Okay then, Momo, why do you want to be a hero?" Kenshi asked.
"I have always wanted to be a hero since I was a child to help people in more ways than just charity. My mother was all for it, but my dad didn't want me to be a hero at first. However, he later agreed to let me be a hero since he realised that I never wanted to inherit the family business. We came to an agreement that I would apply and try to be a hero and at the same time I would learn the basics of the family business so that in case heroics doesn't work out. I hope it doesn't come down to that, but if so, I can take up the family business. My dad is supportive in his own way."
"Hmm," Kenshi said, "With both fields of knowledge, perhaps you could run your own hero agency. You know, I was wondering about our trip to the mall tomorrow. I need some cables and other stuff for my room. Do you know a good spot to find some?"
"Oh sure, I have been needing to go to the mall for a few days, I have been in need of some books to help me with my quirk. The mall does have a few gaming and electronic shops so we can go there for your stuff. Mind if we leave around 11 in the morning, we can return after lunch." Momo answered.
"Sure, it's a date." Kenshi said. "It's not a date date. I mean it is a date as in a number on the calendar. Ahhhh, you know what I mean." Kenshi babbled on. Mina snickered to herself.
"S-sure. It can be a d-date if you want it to be." Momo responded with a slight blush on her face.
"Uhh. if thats fine with you, then it's a date!" Kenshi said happily. Momo smiles. "I wonder what my parents will say about me dating someone like him," she wondered.
The Next Day
Kenshi was waiting in the spot where he was asked to wait. Today was the day where he and Momo would be spending the day at the new mall that had recently opened up. Since he was told he didn't need to dress up, he decided to just go casual with a gaming t-shirt and some jeans.
He was minding his own business playing Minecraft on his switch."Jotaro?" called a voice. He looked up to see Momo walking up to him. His eyes had widened when he saw her.
He looked up after pausing his game to see Momo walking towards him. She held herself strong with a slight strut but it wasn't anything too suggestive, thankfully for Kenshi's sanity. His eyes unconsciously widened and he gasped when he took in her figure: same signature hairstyle that contrasted her white blouse that hid under her midnight black skirt.
Kenshi forced himself to sit up a little more after noticing her blouse had a few open buttons; Due to some of the buttons being undone, there was cleavage showing. Kenshi quickly wiped the dirty thoughts from his mind because he did not plan on ruining his date this quickly.
She also had on makeup that made her lips devil red, and her eyes the color of Mocha.
Momo smiled tenderly when she noticed Kenshi and paused with her right hip accented outward a little. "How do I look?"
Kenshi was about to speak, but his words were stripped clean when Momo twirled. Her skirt rose ever so slightly, which showed how much of her legs she revealed, but her blouse stayed firm.
"Y-you look amazing!" Kenshi rose and bowed his head downward. He had practiced this at home multiple times before, but he still felt rigid at the motion, not to mention more than just a little awkward as well.
"No need to be so formal!" Momo's laugh was like an angel, one without fear, without corruption, instead full of pure bliss. How was she not worried? This was a date!
"But thank you," she continued with her trademark smile, "My parents are having dinner with me later, and I like
"So, ready to go?" Kenshi asked.
"Of course," said Momo. The two of them started heading into the mall. It was huge, filled with a lot of stores.
"Wow," Kenshi said, "You were right Yaomomo, this place is huge."
"That's one of the main reasons why I like malls," Momo explained, "They're filled with almost everything."
"So where to first?" Kenshi asked, "Ladies first." Momo chuckled. "You're a gentleman," she said.
They started walking around the mall. One minute they were going through a bookstore for quirk research and an arcade on another.. Momo was watching Kenshi go head to head against someone who claimed to be a fighting game champ. He managed to beat the champ because of his knowledge in gaming. Kenshi was having a great time with Momo. There were also a few times where they were holding hands unknowingly. They also went to a photo booth and got some pictures taken.
The two of them were now at a water fountain. "This place is incredible," Kenshi said, "It's my first time ever going somewhere like this."
This caught Momo by surprise. "Really?" she asked.
"Yeah," he answered, "My dad never took me to spots like this, believing it would be wasting time that I could be using to study business. I never had any time for myself or to spend with friends which I also didn't have."
"You poor thing," Momo said, "Nobody should be forced to be someone they aren't."
Kenshi looked back at her. "I should thank you for giving me this experience," he said, "Out of all the people in Class 1-A, you've been the kindest. U.A is amazing" Momo looked at him. "You're amazing." Momo smiled and put her hand on top of his. Kenshi smiled back. The two of them found their heads moving closer to each other. Their lips were about to touch when….
"Jojo?!" someone called. Kenshi and Momo quickly moved away with huge blushes on their faces. They both looked at Izuku, Ochako, Katsuki and Camie.
"Bakugo, what's up?" Kenshi asked. "Oh nothing, we were just having a double date," Izuku answered, "I didn't expect to see you guys here. Just checking out the mall?"
"Yea, you could say that," Kenshi and Momo said in unison.
"Jinx," Kenshi said.
"Well, we should get going, Aizawa is going to have our head if we're late." Izuku said. "Wanna come with us, Jojo?"
"Uhhh, wanna get going Momo?" Kenshi asked Momo.
"Sure, there's nothing more we have left to do here. So might as well get going back to the dorms. But before we go…"
She pulled out her phone and asked, "How about a selfie of us."
Kenshi got close to her but wasn't sure what pose to take. Momo got in front, and then guided his arms around her. Her hair was almost blocking his face. "I think this will do," she said, "Smile!" She took the photo.
Afterwards, Kenshi and Momo joined Izuku and his friends on their way back.
Back at the dorms, the small group of couples were met by Kaminari, mina, Sero and Kirishima aka the One-Brain-Cell Squad, who were discussing something with extreme focus, though it sounded like it had nothing to do with the school studies based on what the group had heard.
"So jesus can walk on water right." kaminari said.
"Yes," mina responded. "So what about it?"
"Well, if he can walk on water, can he swim on land?" kaminari asked as he supported his chin on his right fist.
"Well, I don't know about Jesus, but I can swim on land." a face spoke as it appeared from the sofa on the spot next to kaminari. He looked at the face for a few seconds. "Hiya," it said.
Everybody that watched the encounter, and then after a few seconds, they started to freak out because they just saw a face pop out of the sofa. Kaminari was well, haunted by the sofa now and refused to sit on it, and hid behind Jiro's leg.
Izuku and Kenshi who were the only ones that were mildly calm immediately started to work up theories on what just happened. They canceled out options like ghosts and stuff before landing on it being someone's quirk.
Their discussion continued till after dinner when thy 2 were taking out the trash when they encounter the face again. "So, I don't know if you know, but your friends were kinda freaked out by my sudden appearance," he said.
"I mean don't most people when they see a face on the sofa." Izuku responded.
"True. Well, it's nice to see some level headed under years. It's nice to meet you, the names Togata Mirio. Third year student."
"Well, nice to meet you, Togata senpai. Im Jotaro Kenshi and this is Midoriya Izuku." Kenshi said. "Ah yea the gamer," Togata said, "and you must be the Power Stacking fighter. All Might's favorite."
"Not really, I'm not exactly his favorite." Izuku defends himself.
"Well you might as well be, especially since your quirks are so similar," Togata said, "And the fact that you managed to take on a Nomu. Goodness!" Izuku smiled and scratched his head. "It was nothing," he said.
"So are you gonna be attending to be a pro hero as well?" Mirio asked Kenshi. "You know it," Kenshi said, "I plan to show those heroes that video games can save the world. So I take it your quirk makes you like a ghost or something
"Well, you're pretty damn close," Togata began, "It allows me to go through almost any solid objects. Only drawback I can think of is that some of my clothes are solid and come off me whenever I use my quirk. It also leave me without my senses, and a sense that I'm falling."
"That's pretty interesting," Izuku commented, "You're like Danny Phantom." Togata chuckled at that statement. "Well, so far only you two from Class-1A know about it, but not much others," Togata said. "Why's that?" Kenshi asked. "I think that's better off as a surprise for the readers in the sports fest, Gamerguy," Togata asked.
"I like surprises," Kenshi said before turning to Izuku, "Wanna play a few rounds of 'Gun-slingers'?" "You're on," Izuku said. They headed over to Kenshi's dorm.
"So what's going on with you and Momo?" Izuku asked. Kenshi whistled pretending he didn't hear.
