DemonWolf25: Hiiiiii! Thank you so very much for your reviews on this story and my first one! I really greatly appreciate it! It made my day when I read through them! I couldn't stop smiling! ^_^ I don't think Season Two should have happened either. It was the reason I created this story actually. Though, I do love Alois' song (actually super obsessed with it lol.). I have actually not read the manga. I know, I know… I have the first four books but am waiting to get more of the books to binge read them. Lol! I have read some fanfiction that have manga spoilers and I have seen Book of Circus, Book of Atlantic, and the OVAs, so I sort of know what happens, but not everything. So, it's just the first season. I don't want to give anything away… So, you'll have to wait and see. Sorry! As Sebastian would say as he puts a finger to his lips, "'I'm afraid I charge admission to view the rest.'" Hee hee! To answer your question about why she feels Sebastian's and Ciel's pain, it's because she's a very empathetic person. The closer to the person she is, she'll feel their feelings and pain. She didn't feel their feelings nor pain in the first story because she knew they were trying to find out who she was and what she was hiding. Now that they know the truth about her and she knows they won't use her siblings against her, she feels their feelings and pain as she isn't on guard anymore and is able to get closer to them. I hope that makes more sense. For Chapter Six Merrymaking, Emotionally Growing, I put the chanting like a script because chanting is similar to singing, at least to me it is. Anyway, thank you again! I hope you and everyone else enjoy this chapter! ^_^
Chapter Twenty-One: His Butler, Planning, His Bodyguard, Celebrating
The week following the theater performance, the Young Master got many letters of praise, a few business propositions, donations for the orphanages, and his sales in his company increased. Frances, Sebastian, and Finny even received some letters as well from the children, including drawings of them on stage, the cast, and such. Frances found them thoughtful, so she placed hers in a box in her closet to look through every once in a while. She thought it was sweet.
The days passed quickly and before she knew it, it was the day before her actual birthday. Sebastian had come into her room an hour before the Young Master's bedtime and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her shoulder lightly. He placed his chin upon her shoulder.
"You should go to bed." He murmured.
She turned her head towards him with furrowed brows. She glanced at her pocket watch, placing it back in her pocket.
"It's still early." She said, turning back to the oil she was making.
He waited until she was finished making the oil before gently taking it from her hands. She turned to him in surprise. He smirked at her as he corked it for her and set it to the side. Her eyes narrowed.
"What are you planning?" She asked.
His hands came back around her waist. He tilted his head to the side, an innocent look upon his face.
"What ever do you mean?" He asked.
*He's clearly planned something. This demon.*
She shook her head, an amused smile upon her lips, and wiped her hands on her apron. The demon's hands reached up and undid her apron for her. He removed it from her body, placing it upon her hook. He made his way to her nightgowns and chose a black one for her to wear. He quickly changed her before placing her upon the bed. He covered her, then once he removed his tailcoat, he laid down beside her, gathering her into his arms. He ran his gloved hand through her hair. He watched in amusement and pleasure as her eyelids fluttered close and she snuggled closer to his side. It didn't take too long for her to fall asleep. An hour passed before he had to go get the Young Master prepared for bed.
"I'll return soon, my sweet." He murmured into her ear.
She sighed.
"Sebastian."
A smile spread across his lips. He gently caressed her cheek with the back of his gloved hand. She leaned into it. He slipped out of her hold. He donned on his tailcoat, fixed his glove, and walked to the door. He glanced at Frances with another smile before walking out the door to do his last few chores and ready his Master for bed.
Once that was complete, he made sure everything was set for her birthday tomorrow. Once he was satisfied with the arrangements for tomorrow, he returned to her room after he had changed into pajamas and placed his outfit into her armoire. He climbed into her bed. Her arms instantly wrapped around his waist and she snuggled into his shoulder. A chuckle escaped his lips. He moved her so she was on his chest. A sigh escaped her lips. He wrapped an arm around her waist while the other went through her hair. She stretched in her sleep before rubbing her face into his chest. He smiled fondly at her. He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss upon her head.
When it neared the time to wake her, Sebastian moved her so she laid flat on the bed. He positioned himself above her and began to caress her cheek repeatedly as he called her name gently.
"ances… Frances, my love." Frances heard Sebastian call her.
Frances opened her eyes sleepily to see Sebastian hovering over her, gently stroking her cheek. She rubbed her eye sleepily as a loud yawn escaped her lips.
"Sebastian? What time is it?" She asked, realizing it was still rather dark.
"Two forty-three in the morning." He responded, smiling.
Her eyebrows furrowed then she realized it must have something to do with why he had sent her to bed so early. Sebastian placed his other hand upon her cheek to hold her head in his big hands.
"I have a surprise for you. (His thumb brushed against the bottom of her lip, causing her to open her mouth a little, as her breath quickened. He leaned closer.) Happy birthday, Frances."
His lips embraced her. Warmth flooded through them as well as their song. She instantly wrapped her arms around his neck. After a few minutes, he parted from her, closing his eyes as he relished in her gasp for air. He resumed caressing her cheek as she caught her breath.
"Thank you." She breathed out.
Sebastian smiled. He moved his hands down to her neck, lightly touching her sensitive spot which caused a shiver to run through her before wrapping his hands around her waist. He pulled her up with him, gently setting her in a seated position on the edge of her bed. He lit two candlesticks to give her a bit of light. After returning the matches into her drawer, he turned back towards her. He leaned to whisper into her ear.
"Wait here."
"Yes, Sebastian."
He pulled away. A smile graced his lips. He walked away. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and yawned, trying to rid herself of sleep. Sebastian returned with several items. Her eyes widened. The demon smiled at the surprised look in her eyes.
"I want you to wear this, which is why they aren't wrapped." He explained.
She stood up and lightly touched the beautiful evening dress. It was so soft!
"Sebastian." She whispered, looking up to meet his pleased eyes, "It's beautiful! Thank you!"
He moved the dress and heels to his left arm as she wrapped her arms around him, hugging him. He hugged her back.
"It pleases me that you like it. Allow me to assist you."
In the next moment, she was dressed in her new evening dress. She looked down at it, a large smile gracing her lips. She gave a twirl, allowing the fabric to spin out. The dress was made of silk. It was dark purple with black lace accenting the off-the-shoulder sleeves and the bottom of the dress. At the left hip of the dress was a black rose. The skirt flared out a bit more than a normal evening dress and the petticoats helped flare it out a bit. There were black heels with a dark purple sheen upon her feet. She looked back up to see Sebastian smiling at her. She gave a beautiful, giant smile back. She leaned up and gave him a quick kiss upon his cheek.
He took her by the hand and led her to her mirror that she had in her room. He released her hand and began working on her hair. He had curled it before pinning half of it up while leaving the rest down. He then pinned a beautiful purple rose into the side of her updo. His eyes met hers in the mirror before he placed a hand upon her shoulder, turning her around. He suddenly had something black in his arms. He held it out to her. She gasped. It was a beautiful black laced-layered cloak with a hood. She reached out and ran her hand down the soft fabric.
"It's beautiful." She whispered, meeting his reddish-brown eyes.
He smiled.
"May I?" He asked, lifting the cloak.
She smiled.
"You may."
He wrapped the cloak around her, buttoning it at her neckline and placed the hood upon her head. It was incredibly warm. Once it was on her, he placed his hands upon her shoulders. He leaned into her ear.
"One moment, my lady." He whispered.
"Yes, Sebastian." She breathed.
She heard a quick rustle of clothes causing her to avert her eyes. Then she felt his hand upon her shoulder once more. He turned her towards him. Her eyes roamed his frame. A giant smile spread across her lips, her eyes filled with delight. The demon felt warmth spread through him once again and a light fluttering in his heart, a pleased smirk upon his face as she took in his choice of outfit for the day. He was wearing a black tuxedo with a crisp white button down shirt and a black bowtie. His hands bore no gloves, so his black nails and his mark were on display for her. She was extremely happy about that.
"So handsome." She breathed.
Sebastian felt his pride and heart swell. He held out his hand to her, the other on his chest.
"Shall we be off, my lady?" He asked with a bow.
She placed her hand in his, never taking her eyes from his.
"Yes, please, Sebastian." She said.
His smiled widened. He pulled her into his arms and was soon running from the manor. She wrapped her arms around his neck. She didn't close her eyes this time as the wind ripped through them, instead she kept her eyes on Sebastian. Said demon glanced down at her every once in a while, smiling at her. After about twenty minutes, he came to a stop. His reddish-brown eyes met hers.
"You may look now, Frances." He said, softly.
She did. A gasp escaped her lips and her eyes widened. She was at a cliffside, surrounded by millions of red and black roses. She could see the clear dark ocean as it blended with the dark early morning sky, littered with thousands of glittering stars. The bright green grass billowed gently as a small breeze blew by. Sebastian gently placed her upon the ground. She was completely mesmerized. She took a few steps towards the edge of the cliff. She could hear the waves crashing against the rocks below. She stepped closer until she was right at the edge where she could see the waves crashing to the jagged rocks below. It was like a secret garden. A paradise. A breath-taking paradise where the call of the ocean rose and feel like a song and beautiful red and black roses grew with no hinderance. She spun around with a giggle to face Sebastian, her dress billowing as she turned towards him, a giant smile upon her face and within her eyes. The demon could see and feel just how much she loved this place. He smiled as she ran towards him. He held out his arms for her. She giggled again as she wrapped her arms around his waist. He returned her strong hug, burying his face into her hair. He inhaled her scent.
*So divine.* He thought.
"It's so beautiful, Sebastian! (Feeling her move, he lifted his head as she looked up into his reddish-brown eyes.) So incredibly breath-taking!"
His smile widened. He gently caressed her cheek. She closed her eyes and leaned into his caress before reopening her eyes, looking lovingly at him.
"It pleases me to know you love this place. (He leaned closer to her.) For it is yours."
Frances' eyes widened as she gasped in surprise. Sebastian's smile grew into an open mouthed grin. So wide it was, that if he was human, it would have hurt.
"Yes." He said, "Welcome to Isle Frances, Frances."
Tears filled her eyes.
"Sebastian…" She whispered.
She was extremely touched by this gift. He knew her so well.
Sebastian wiped away the tear that slipped down her cheek. He nuzzled her nose. A sigh escaped her lips. She placed her hands upon his cheeks, leaned up, and kissed his lips with such passion and love. He kissed her back with the same. They parted. He reached up with his left hand to take her left hand into his, the other remained around her waist. Feeling his intentions, she let her hand slide down his cheek, down his neck (which caused a small pleased growl and shiver to course through him, making her smile), to his shoulder. Her brown eyes met his reddish-brown ones. He began to lead her through a dance in the middle of the field. The song they danced to was their song and when it ended, another began. They danced for about two hours, laughing, kissing, merely content to simply dance to the music in their hearts. After their dancing had ended, he released her and she went about collecting roses. She even stuck a black rose into Sebastian's breast pocket of his tuxedo, he smiled when she did so. After a little while, they found themselves at the edge of the cliff as twilight made its appearance. She closed her eyes, enjoying the feel of the breeze and the fresh air of the sea. She felt Sebastian's eyes upon her and his feeling of happiness, pleasure, and love. She felt his hand slip into hers. She opened her eyes and turned to him. He smiled at her. She smiled back. He bowed slightly and gestured down.
"My lady." He said.
She looked down. Upon the ground was a black blanket with black pillows. Her smile grew wider. She allowed him to assist her sitting down before sitting beside her, wrapping his arm around her, and pulling her close. They sat in a comfortable silence as they watched the sky change colors. As they sat and watched, Frances found her way into Sebastian's lap. The demon was more than pleased for her to be nestled in his lap. He had one hand encircled around her waist, intertwined with her hand, nestled in her lap. The other was running through her curls. His long legs were on either side of her. Her head leaned against his broad chest. The light changed as the sun began its ascent. Sebastian's lips were at her ear.
"Come, birthday woman, it is time for us to head back home to start our day."
She smiled, stretched slightly before turning her head towards him.
"Hmmm, all right." She said, leaning up and giving him a kiss upon his lips.
He kissed her back. They pulled away. She stood up and gathered her mixture of roses as Sebastian stood up and waved his hand over the pillows and blanket causing them to disappear. He turned to her.
"Well then, my sweet, shall we be off?"
She smiled as she took one last look around before meeting his gaze. She nodded.
"Yes, Sebastian."
He smiled and caressed her cheek for a moment. He took her into his arms and began the journey home. She couldn't help taking one last look at her Isle behind Sebastian's arm. Almost at once it was out of sight. She moved her head back, but not before meeting his pleased reddish-brown eyes and his warm smile. She smiled back, settling into his arms. She didn't realize it, but she dozed off about halfway through their journey.
Sebastian looked down at his beautiful birthday woman. Even though girl sounds better, she is a woman. She was simple yet complex at the same time. She was so incredibly thankful and enamored with her Isle and that filled him with so much pride, warmth, and happiness. Honestly, this young woman never ceased to amaze him, making him feel all these emotions. The look upon her face was breath-taking. He had many more surprises for her, including something for this evening. His grin widened.
They arrived at the manor in no time at all. He entered her room, closing the door quietly behind him. Part of him didn't want to wake her while the other part knew there was work to be done. A grin appeared upon his face. He just thought of the perfect way to wake her. He nuzzled her neck with his nose. It didn't take long, just a few seconds. She groaned, slowly entering consciousness, and moved her head up to give him more access. The demon chuckled slightly. Amused and pleased by her reaction.
"Come, my sweet. It is time to wake up." He said softly, against her neck.
He heard her yawn and felt her stretch in his arms. He gently sat her down upon the bed, moved a step back, and watched as her eyes fluttered open. She blinked a few times. Her eyes met his and he could see the apologize within.
"Mmmm. I'm sorry, I didn't…"
He placed a finger to her lips, silencing her. He leaned towards her.
"You have nothing to apologize for, Frances. I'll let you take a nap once your chores are complete." He promised her.
She smiled and kissed his finger. He smiled and let his finger gently caress her lips and down to her chin. He tilted it up slightly. He leaned forward and gave her another kiss. This one longer causing her to gasp once they parted. He leaned against her forehead with his own, grinning widely.
"I'll let you get dressed. See you downstairs."
Then he was gone. She lightly touched her lips as her body filled with warmth and energy. She smiled. Then she got up and started to dress for the day.
Once she was dressed, she made her way to the kitchen. However, just as she was about to enter, Sebastian was coming out. He looked her over. A smile graced his lips. He held out his hand.
"Time to greet the Young Master." He said.
She shook her head with an amused smile as she took his offered hand. He was wearing his butler uniform once again, but he had the black rose she had placed in his tuxedo in his breast pocket. He led her to the bottom of the stairs. He turned to her. She lightly brushed the rose in his pocket with her fingertips as he encircled her waist. His gloved hand tilted her chin further up. His eyes glowed briefly and he smiled a cat-like smile as he leaned down and captured her lips in a breath-taking kiss. Her arms wrapped around his neck, running through the ends of his hair. Suddenly, he dipped her effortlessly causing her to gasp and stick out her left leg. He quickly inserted his tongue causing her moan softly. The demon warbled/purred happily. He pulled away, enjoying her gasp for air. His glowing eyes watched her a moment, tongue licking his lips to gather her taste as warmth filled his being. He smiled at her loving gaze as she panted. He slowly placed her upright as her hands lowered to his shoulders. His hand caressed up her body to her hand. He lifted it from his shoulder to his lips, placing a gentle kiss upon it. She smiled. He grinned back. He slowly released her as she released him. He turned and made his way up the stairs.
A few minutes passed by when she heard her friends behind her.
"Frances!" Mey-rin and Finny exclaimed.
She turned around, smiling as they fast walked towards her. The two of them threw their arms around her, giggling. Frances giggled along with them as she hugged them back.
"Happy birthday, Frances!" They shouted.
She laughed.
"Thank you." She said.
They parted from the hug. Bard and Tanaka approached her. Tanaka held out his arms to her. She smiled as she knelt down to his level. She gave him a hug.
"Ho, ho, ho." Tanaka said.
"Thank you, Tanaka." She said.
She pulled away to see him smiling. She stood back up. Bard placed a hand on her shoulder.
"Happy birthday." He said, giving her shoulder a squeeze.
She touched his hand and squeezed back.
"Thank you, Bard."
Mey-rin gasped, grabbing her attention.
"Frances, your rose is so pretty, yes it is!"
"Thank you." She said, inclining her head.
She had pinned the purple rose to her apron. They turned as they heard the Young Master's footsteps. They lined up quickly. The Young Master made his way down the stairs. Once he reached the bottom, they greeted him.
"Good morning, Young Master."
"Good morning." He greeted once he reached the last step.
He stopped in front of Frances and looked her over with a critical eye. Her hair was pulled back into a low ponytail, curled, a purple rose was pinned on the strap of her apron, and her usual bright, happy smiled was upon her face. He gave her a small smile.
"Happy birthday, Frances."
She smiled wider.
"Thank you, Young Master."
He walked towards the dining room. Frances and her friends made their way to the kitchen where Sebastian was plating the Young Master's food. After he left to serve the Young Master, she and her friends served themselves.
After breakfast was complete, Frances went to work on her chores as Mey-rin told her that she would do the dishes. She had thanked her before placing the dish in the sink. She worked on her chores. Sebastian would come and assist her every so often. When he first came to help her, she tried to protest, but he silenced her with a kiss and a,
"Allow me to assist. It is your special day after all."
She smiled and acquiesced with an,
"All right."
He returned her smile.
Due to Sebastian's help, she was finished with her chores by lunch time. After lunch, Sebastian told her she had the rest of the day off and she could rest since he woke her up so early. She did just that after going to the library and picking out a book to read. She read for about an hour before succumbing to sleep. She awoke at three in the afternoon. She noticed a note next to her pocket watch. She picked it up and read it.
Dear Frances,
Please put on your new evening dress and heels. Redo your lovely hair into the hairstyle it was in this morning. If you need assistance, place call for me.
Yours,
Sebastian
A smile spread across her lips. She did as she was told and redressed in her evening gown that she had hung in her armoire. She changed quickly, taking off the rose from her uniform, she placed it on the nightstand. She fixed her hair, pinning half of it up and then delicately placed the rose in her hair. She smiled and nodded once. She turned and walked out her room. She made her way out the servants' door to hers and Sebastian's garden. As she had begun her journey, Pluto barked before bounding towards her. He nuzzled her face with his Demon Hound head and gave her a quick lick upon her cheek then ran off. She laughed continuing on her way.
Once she got there, she smiled widely. She stood in the center and closed her eyes, enjoying the sun's warmth that filtered through the trees. She placed a hand upon her heart. She could feel Bridgett, Irene, and Marcelo sending her love and happiness. Her smile widened so much that it hurt a little. She let out a giggle as she spun around in serval circles before falling on her back with a happy sigh. She watched the crystal blue sky through the trees.
A bit of time passed and soon it would be dinner making time. She felt his presence. She tilted her head back to see the black of his pants. Her eyes trailed up to his face. He was wearing his tuxedo once again. His lips curved in an amused smile. She smiled happily at him. He walked around to where her legs were. She sat up. He held out his hand.
"My lady." He said.
She smiled wider. She placed her hand in his and allowed him to assist her up. They held hands as they made their way to the manor. Once they reached the kitchen, they released each other's hands. Together they made one of her favorite dishes: Parisian style flat meat with roasted vegetables and white rice. When their friends saw her, they complimented her outfit. She thanked them. After dinner, Sebastian and their friends led her to the dining room. The Young Master was standing next to the table. She gasped as an exquisite chocolate cake sat upon the table. At the very top was a chocolate swan in a white heart. The rest of the cake was decorated with red roses, white chocolate hearts, and miniature swans. All was silent for a moment as she took it in.
"It's beautiful." She breathed.
Sebastian smiled with a hand placed upon his chest.
"Thank you." He said, inclining his head.
"Happy birthday, Frances." The Young Master said, standing to the right side of her.
"Happy birthday!" Her friends all cheered.
"Thank you." She blushed.
Sebastian sang the birthday song. He then cut the cake and handed her a piece with a red rose, chocolate swan, and a white chocolate heart. She thanked him before taking a bite. Her eyes instantly closed; a moan escaped her lips as the chocolate literally melted in her mouth. The cake was sinfully delicious! She finished it quickly, enjoying every single bite. Once the cake was done, it was present time. Finny handed his to her first.
"Open mine first, Frances!" He said, excitedly.
Frances giggled.
"All right, all right."
She took the box from him and opened it up. Her eyes widened as she took it out. It was a stunning red rose wreath with green leaves poking out of a few of them. To hang it, a black satin ribbon wrapped around it in a bow.
"It's beautiful, Finny. Thank you."
She reached over and hugged him. He giggled and hugged her back. She released him.
"Open mine next, yes!" Mey-rin exclaimed, handing her a medium bag.
She accepted it and opened it up. She gasped. It was a stunning crystal vase that had darker crystal roses imprinted on it, within it were red roses from the Young Master's garden that still had the thorns on them. She smiled.
"It's stunning! Thank you, Mey-rin!"
Mey-rin giggled. Frances gingerly placed it back in the bag before reaching over and giving her a hug. Bard handed her a box.
"Here." He said, smiling.
She smiled and accepted the box. She opened it and her smile widened, a puff of laughter escaped her lips. It was two stuffed animal kittens. One was black and the other brown both with green eyes. They were adorable! She hugged Bard who blushed as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Thank you, Bard." She said.
"Ho, ho, ho." Tanaka said, handing her a small box.
She took it and opened it up. She smiled as she took out a beautiful netted tiny purple flower hat and a matching purple scarf.
"These are lovely, Tanaka. Thank you."
She gave the older gentleman a hug.
"Ho, ho, ho." Was his response.
"My gift." The Young Earl said, handing her a box after she parted from Tanaka.
She took it out and opened it up. She gasped in awe. It was a stunning black violin with white strings. One that she saw on a trip in town to London. She took it out gingerly. It was incredibly smooth with no blemishes. She lightly touched the strings. They felt strong. The urge to play was overwhelming. She looked at the Young Master with a large smile and tears in her eyes.
"Thank you, Young Master." She said.
He gave her a nod with a light blush on his cheeks. The click of Sebastian's pocket watch caused her to turn to look at him, blinking the tears away.
"It is time for us to get going or else we'll be late." Sebastian stated, closing his watch.
He lifted his head to smile beautifully at her as he pushed down the anger that the Young Master made her cry. He knew it was they were happy tears, however, only he would be able to make her cry happy tears. He watched as her eyebrows furrowed and her head tilted ever so slightly to the right. He couldn't help finding it adorable.
"Where are we going?" She asked, curiously.
"It's a surprise." He said, a finger upon his lips as he winked at her.
She smiled beautifully. He then turned his gaze to the other servants.
"Take care of the Young Master in our absence."
"Yes, sir!" The three saluted.
"Ho, ho, ho." Tanaka said.
Sebastian held out his hand to her.
"My lady." He said, bowing slightly.
She smiled and took his hand. They walked hand in hand out of the mansion, stopping by the door to don on her cloak and his coat and top hat. A carriage awaited them. Sebastian opened the carriage door for her and assisted her in. She thanked him. He climbed in after her, slipping an arm around her waist as he settled beside her. He tapped the roof and the carriage took off. She nestled into Sebastian's shoulder merely watching the scenery pass by. They passed through London in a comfortable silence which Sebastian broke.
"I have two things that will complete your outfit." He said, capturing her attention.
She turned her head towards him. He handed her a purple wrapped box. She unwrapped it and opened it up. She smiled as she saw black satin gloves folded neatly within the box. She pulled them out and placed them on her lap. When she looked back in the box, a gasp escaped her throat. A beautiful single, slightly big, black diamond rose set upon a beautiful silver chain sat within. She gingerly took it out. She lightly touched it. In the glow of the setting sun, it sparkled brilliantly. She looked up and met Sebastian's reddish-brown eyes.
"It's stunningly beautiful, Sebastian. Thank you." She breathed.
Sebastian smiled. His hand covered her own.
"Allow me." He said, softly.
She let the necklace go. He gently placed it back into the box. Her eyebrows knitted together. He smirked.
"Gloves." He simply stated.
A blush filled her cheeks, but she complied. He took one glove and slowly placed it on her hand, slowly sliding it up her arm. Her breathing quickened and her body squirmed slightly at the silkiness of the fabric and how slow he was going. His smirk widened in pleasure. Once it was on, just passed her elbows, his gloved finger trailed down her arm lightly, closing a shiver and a cross between a whine and a whimper escaped her lips. The demon growled low in pleasure. He repeated the action with her second hand. Her heart rate had picked up in speed as well. He lifted her hand and pressed a gentle kiss to her knuckles. He released her hand. He lowered his head to her ear.
"Turn for me, my love, so I may put your necklace on."
"Yes, Sebastian." She breathed.
She obediently turned her upper body. He moved her hair over one shoulder. He gingerly picked up the necklace and placed it around her throat. He lightly grazed her sensitive spot upon her neck causing another shiver. His smirk widened even more. He clicked the necklace together. His hands trailed to her shoulders before he lowered his head and placed a gentle kiss upon her sensitive spot. She shivered and sighed.
"Sebastian."
He chuckled, a smile upon his lips. He pulled away, lowering one hand to hold her waist. She turned in his arm and smiled beautifully at him. The necklace fit her perfectly, nestled right above her breasts. The carriage came to a stop. She looked out the window and gasped. Sebastian's smile grew. The carriage driver opened the door. Sebastian stepped out first before turning to her with a smile.
"My lady." He held out his hand for her.
She took it. He assisted her down. Once she was on solid ground, she looked up at the Lyceum Theater. It was amazing!
"Wow." She breathed.
Even though they had just been there two weeks ago, she couldn't help, but still find it an amazing building to look at.
Sebastian chuckled at her wonder as he placed her hand in the croak of his arm and walked them forward. Sebastian handed the ticket keeper their tickets. He tore them before handing them back to Sebastian.
"Enjoy the show." He said.
"Thank you." They both said, stepping forward.
"May I take your cloak, my lady?" A man asked.
"Of course." She said.
She was about to turn when Sebastian took it off for her. She could feel his jealousy as he took it off. He handed the gentleman her cloak, his coat, and top hat. She shook her head, but placed her hand in his and gave it a squeeze. They walked forward towards a door and was handed a playbill. 'The Beauty Stone'* was the name of the show that they were watching tonight. She looked around the theater in awe. It was a light grey theater with a brown stage, red curtains, and a stunning golden chandelier hung from the ceiling. She couldn't help but be moved. Sebastian guided them to their seats in the orchestra section about four rows from the back, in the center. Sebastian helped her sit down before settling into the seat beside her. He held her hand as she looked around. She then turned her attention to the playbill in her hands and looked through it. It was actually an opera play. It sounded entertaining. She was just slightly surprised that he chose something that had the Devil in it, though she really shouldn't have been. The hum of instruments sounded through the air, the lights were blown out, and the show began.
Once the show was over, she and the other audience members stood and gave a standing ovation.
"That was fun!" Frances exclaimed, as Sebastian and her walked out of the theater with their cloak, coat, and top hat on.
He smiled at her.
"I'm glad you were entertained." He said.
"Did you enjoy the show?" She asked, looking at him.
"I did indeed, though that Lucifer was rather weak." He said, frowning slightly with his knuckle under his chin.
She laughed quietly.
"I was going to ask about that."
He lowered his hand as the two shared an amused smile as their carriage approached them. He opened the carriage door.
"My lady." Sebastian said, holding his hand out.
She smiled and accepted his hand. He assisted her into the carriage. She sat down as Sebastian climbed in, closing the door behind him. He sat down, his arm wrapped around her waist, she leaned her head upon his shoulder. He tapped the roof of the carriage and the driver took off. Frances intertwined their hands as she looked out the window at the full moon. A bit of time passed and Frances could feel herself getting tired. She turned her head towards Sebastian. Sensing her gaze, he looked at her. A smile graced their lips. She reached up with her free hand, pushing some of his bangs out of his eyes. She caressed the smooth skin of his cheek. She leaned closer to his lips.
"Thank you for such a lovely day, Sebastian. I had a wonderful time with you."
Frances: I love~~~~ you.
She captured his lips. His hand around her waist tightened slightly. They parted with her gasping. He smiled, reached up with his other hand, and gently brushed her cheek.
"I love you, Frances. Happy birthday."
She leaned into his caress, her eyes closing, then reopening looking lovingly at him.
"Thank you."
She leaned up and kissed his cheek. He smiled at her. His hand slid down and off her cheek then intertwined with her hand as she leaned her head against his shoulder once more. She snuggled into his shoulder with a content sigh. Soon her breathing changed to relaxed sleeping. Sebastian watched his human as she slept. A content smile upon his face. He looked out the window.
He had been thinking quite a bit about when his contract was over and he consumed the Young Master's soul, where he would take Frances afterward. He would have to return to Hell after his contract was finished and Frances did seem interested in going there with their countless talks and her endless questions. He thought back to that day.
Frances laid upon his chest, gently tracing designs into his shirt and upon his chest.
"What's Hell like?" She suddenly asked.
"Hm?" Sebastian questioned.
"What's Hell like?" She repeated, "Are demons separated by what their talents are or by what they are? Or are they separated by the Seven Deadly Sins?"
He chuckled at her as he ran a hand through her hair while the other remained around her waist.
"No, we aren't separated by talents or what we are or by the Seven Deadly Sins. The Kings and Princes have mansions or large houses that we call nests, the lower class demons stay together in smaller homes or caves. It's very hot, at least, to humans. I find it comfortable. There are flames, rocks, valleys of jagged rocks everywhere. There is the scent of death, decay, and despair in the air. It is very dead looking, a vast wasteland."
She nodded, "That… does sound like Hell."
He chuckled and kissed her forehead.
"You are too adorable." He stated, smirking at her.
She blushed.
He came back to the present. He couldn't help the smirk upon his face. She was like a curious kitten wanting to understand things in his world and other supernatural beings seeing as she could sense them. She had a greater understanding and acceptance of things even if she didn't quite agree with the things they did. He would have to change her in order for her to be accepted into Hell. However, a small frown appeared upon his face as his eyebrows furrowed in thought. He knew she would want to spend time with her siblings seeing as it was rare that she got to, even during her childhood.
*Perhaps I could take her and her siblings to her Isle and provide for them.* He thought.
However, he quickly dismissed it as he didn't want a long distance relationship with her. He needed her by his side at all time.
*Perhaps I could make a deal with Lucifer.* The demon thought, a smirk growing upon his face.
The carriage came to a halt. He maneuvered Frances into his arms, opened the door, then exited the carriage. He handed the man some money before the man drove away. He looked down at her as she snuggled into him. A sigh escaped her lips as her smile widened. A smile appeared upon his face. He nuzzled her nose. He turned to the manor and within seconds was in her room. He placed her upon her bed. He retrieved a purple nightgown. Upon returning to her side, he undressed her, took off her necklace, took out her hairdo, and redressed her in the nightgown. He laid her down and covered her with the sheets. After putting the items in their respectable spots, he changed into black pajamas. He made his way into her bed, pulling her upon his chest. The second he ran his hand through her hair, she let out a sigh as she rubbed her face into his chest.
"Sebastian." She sighed.
"My Frances." He said, placing a tender kiss upon her forehead, "Happy birthday, my darling."
