A/N: Hey, guys! I hope all of you are staying safe during these difficult times, I know some days may seem more difficult than others but soon, all of this will stay behind and we will get through this.
Without further ado, here I present you the last chapter of Runnin' Home to You. Enjoy!
Epilogue
Six months later…
Ezra smiled softly and leaned against his speeder as he watched the builders working on his and Sabine's house; he had talked earlier with the project manager and he had told him that the house would be ready in two weeks and that he and Sabine could move into the house whenever they wanted.
The young man thanked him and decided to stay a few more minutes to see from a distance how the house was looking, he really loved the house was close to Hera and Jacen and that Hera's house would be only five minutes away from theirs. He sighed happily and climbed into the speeder and headed to the tower.
The doors of the turbolift opened and he stepped into the living room.
"I'm home!" He called as he took off his jacket and set a bag on the kitchen counter.
Cuyan came running and yelped happily when he saw his keeper.
"Hey, boy." The young man said and scratched him behind his ear.
The Loth-wolf yelped again and wagged his tail.
Ezra chuckled and looked up; he smiled when he saw Sabine leaning against the doorway of their bedroom. "Hey." He said.
"Hi." She said smiling.
She pushed herself from the doorway and walked up to him, then, she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him. "I missed you." She said when they broke apart.
"I missed you too." He said and pecked her lips.
"How was your day?" She asked as Ezra moved to the kitchen and took out the things from the bag.
"It was good." He said. "The kids asked me when you were going to return. They really miss you." He said with a soft smile on the face.
Sabine hadn't been herself for a couple of days now, everything had started with tiredness, both she and Ezra thought it was because of her two jobs, so she decided to reduce the days she taught art at Lothal's school and change the days she worked as curator at Lothal Art Museum but the tiredness didn't seem to improve much at all in the past days, so Ezra convinced Sabine to take a few days and rest. He also tried to convince her to go and see a doctor, "tried" being the key word since Sabine was too stubborn to go and see a doctor, so instead, she decided to wait until she felt better.
"That's very sweet of them." The Mandalorian answered.
"Yeah, so…how have you been feeling?" The Jedi asked.
"Better." She answered. "I know what's wrong with me; I just needed a couple of days to be sure." She said.
Ezra frowned and walked up to her. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"Don't worry, it's nothing bad." Sabine answered. "At least I hope it's not bad." She said, suddenly feeling very nervous about her husband's reaction.
"'Bine, please tell me what's wrong." He said and sat down next to her. "Whatever it is, we will face it together."
The Mandalorian smiled softly at his concern and took a deep breath. "How do you think Hera is going to like being called 'Nana'?" She asked.
Ezra stared at her in confusion as the words sank in. "Wait...Are you… are you saying you're…?" He stammered.
Sabine nodded, then, she took his hand and rested it on her stomach. "I found out this morning." She said softly.
The young man seemed to be in shock; he stared at the hand over her stomach and tried to say something but no words came out.
"A-are you happy?" She asked.
Ezra came out from his shock and looked at her. "What?" He asked confused.
"It's just…" The Mandalorian sighed. "We had already agreed on having kids when we were both ready." She said.
"You're not ready?" He asked confused.
"No, it's not that." She said. "It's just…I don't think I'm going to be a good mother." She murmured.
"My mom wasn't a great model and…I don't know…I guess I'm scared to be like her." She said.
"Cyar'ika…I've seen you with Jacen. It's very clear that you love him." The Jedi said and lifted her chin. "That's why I know you're going to be an amazing mother." He said with a soft smile on his face.
"You really think that?" She asked.
He nodded. "I do; besides, we had the best models in the galaxy." He said.
"Yeah." She said. "So…are you happy?"
"Sabine, I'm…I'm thrilled." He said with a big and dorky smile on his face.
"Really?" She asked.
"Really." He said softly.
The Mandalorian smiled as she placed a hand on the back of Ezra's head and pulled him down to kiss him fiercely on the lips.
"I love you." She said when they broke apart.
"I love you too, babe." He said and kissed her again.
A/N: Aaaaand...that's it! It's done! :D
Thank you guys for all your likes, reviews and follows and thank you for sticking with me through this story. Also, a sequel is on it's way but before I post it, I'm going to make some changes to the story, don't worry, they won't affect the story in the least (I hope) and I'll probably post the sequel around the end of May or the first days of June.
Also, the next chapter of Always There for You is not ready yet since it's going to be a big chapter and I hope it is finished in the next days so you can read it.
Thanks again guys and stay safe.
