Chapter 17: The Village Plan
"This is absurd" Tsume flatly commented "How exactly do you plan to live here blondie!?" she yelled pointing at Minato. The said blonde was sweat dropping while everyone around him had the same thought.
"It is illogical to live in a place that is in such…. poor condition" Shibi said shifting his glasses "given the circumstances, we cannot afford to prolong in destroying this cracked walls and start building houses due to our lack of knowledge in such things" he continued.
"Alright alright let me explain…." Minato said placating his hand "first thing first, so I'll explain how we're gonna have a village that is actually hidden"
"get to the point" Tsume said flatly. Minato rubbed his back head shyly "I have this idea Sotogawa Kawaru Jikukan Sunto " Naruto's eyebrow quirk, such outlandish idea is surely his father's. No one would think of such an idea let alone have the skill to create it. But if anyone could, it has to be his father.
"Externally varying space-time dimension huh" he said gaining the attention of his father. Minato nodded " yes and I plan to support it with wide array of interactive- interconnected seals. It would take sometime but I believe with you and your mom helping me it is possible" Kushina smiled, she knew such a project would require sometime of complex thinking which means to say that Minato had been planning it for sometime as a way of bonding for the family. After all they were the only family in Konoha in which all the members had varying expertise in seals.
However the rest of the population were lost at the time spouted the absurd name of his fuinjutsu. "What exactly that this do?" Sasuke voiced the curiosity of everyone. Naruto smiled at him before letting everyone hear his voice "it is something amazing, something that is impossible for now. But that wont be long, it's better to keep it a surprise" he said communicating eye to eye with his father.
"Right, for now let's set up temporary tents and remain close to each other. Wild animals inhabit the area and we don't want to wake up tomorrow inside a beast stomach."

As a very powerful ninjas, nothing is more annoying for Kakuzu to be forced away from the front devastation he causes gives him a feeling of wicked satisfaction. But their leader just have to force him away and made Hidan join him in attacking his old home village. Their goal? Take the Nanabi. He was not delusional, even with all his powers if nothing is done all the hidden leaf soldier will be wiped making them lose the war. That was why he was here in the first place 'to get the battery for the zetsu army' he thought.
Once the gedo mazo started producing, the army will be more than thrice the number of their enemies counting in the hidden mist who he heard started mobilizing their troops. And if that was not enough, Orochimaru and his apprentice's edo tensei jutsu will give them the fire power that will annihilate every village.
With this in thought, he went directly to where he could sense the largest chakra source, he sent his partner to keep the village busy while he retrieve the seven tails. Only to be confronted by a mint haired girl with wings "Hello Nanabi…."

It was decided anonymously that any dead comrade will have to be burned in order not to be desecrated by the huge animals that naturally live in the area. And the first one who will have the right to this is the dead body of Nagato preserved through the stasis seal of Kushina.
People thought the Namikaze family had already gotten over it everytime they see them smile and banter. But none of those who have tasted the lose of family due to war was fooled. Moving on is impossible, the pain will linger for as long you live to think of them. What you can only do is endure the pain, to blindly tackle the future with a fragment of heart missing.
In all her years living in the Namikaze household, the red haired bimbo treated her like a real sister. Nagato was like the brother that he never had and it hurts Sumire so much knowing that he had killed his brother's killer but the pain never subsided, not once. She can only imagine the pain the real families have as they linger in the warmth of each other while watching a love one's body being cremated.
She let her tear flow freely, not caring if anyone sees. She had not cared about other people in the first place but for now, she felt… alone. Kushina noticed Sumire's lonely eyes looking at them, being the caring mother that she is, she invited her into the fold of their family hugs and the purple hair could only oblige willingly as she was with her family now.

The sound of metal hitting metal rang in the air scaring the local animals as Sumire clashed her sword with a kunai of Naruto "you've had Samehada for about five months now Naruto, yet you don't bring it out in spars and I'm not even seeing you practice kenjutsu. Why not try it?" she asked her sparring partner.
Naruto shook his head before jumping backward "if I'm ever going to learn kenjutsu, I would never dream of using Samehada as a sword. No, Samehada is a great weapon, legendary but not because of its sword properties" he explained making Sumire frown "I'm getting the vibe that you desperately want a sparring partner" he continued as they clash another bout Naruto dodging this time as Sumire channeled her second affinity this time which would allow her to slice through Naruto's kunai.
Naruto shunshined away not even needing half a second " it's just that it's so hard trying to find someone to spar right now, my kenjutsu skills are stagnating" Sumire complained. "Well then why don't you ask Sasuke, he's been using chokuto for three months now remember?"
The sword user eye flattened " ever since he and Yuugao got to know each other, it's only them that sparred eacb other. Even Kushina-san is busy with your father preparing the seals for the village. Just how complicated is your plan anyway" she asked before rushing to hand signs and this time peppering Naruto with water bullets from her gun shaped hands.
Naruto shunshined multiple times around the area, his mastery of shunshin ever increasing since the last five months "Very complicated. But anyways, I wouldn't be able to help you with kenjutsu but I believe I have an idea that will benefit you in other way. You still want to be summoning specialist right?" Sumire nodded as this time she created clones that will attack Naruto with swords while she pepper him with another round of her water bullets. Naruto kept to his shunshin preferring to increase his evasion skills.
"I read from the book where I learned about Samehada this jutsu discipline that exponentially increase your chakra" he continued evading until Sumire and her clones abruptly stop "I'm all ears" she said to the blond almost like a command.
Naruto took some seconds of rebreather before replying " well in requires to have the ability to completely empty the mind and to be able to connect with nature, ideally with summons…."

About four months ago, his troops are slowly but surely pushing inside fire country even with their S-ranks in the battlefield. But ever since those white abominations appeared, Baki and his troop's advance was temporarily halted. Those thing 'zetsus' they called them were nothing strong. Even their average chuunin could handle one very easily. But their numbers alone are absurd that they become real threat. What was more was that those few and in between leaf nins are willing sacrifice them in their skirmishes.
Baki had heard that the same thing is happening in all of the war fronts, if this continues the war will last for years. And it would be humiliating if the history books will be filled with victory of Konoha against the other four great ninja villages combined.

"Where's Naruto?" Kushina asked her husband who had been diligently working on the main seal. She had been assigned with the entry and exit seals while Naruto and Minato works on the other requirements of the seal and the main core.
"He went outside, told me his going to catch up and train with Sumire" Minato replied not bothering to look. Kushina was not offended at this, this is just him when it comes to seals much more serious than Naruto and her. She approach her husband and hugged him from behind making Minato halt his work.
"He's quickly approaching the age when he will start noticing Sumire" she said relaxing her face on her husband's back. Minato resumed his work seeing as he would not be able to hug back but did reply "well good for Sumire, that girl had been gunning for Naruto for how ling now" he said calmly.
"What if they get hurt Minato?" she asked. Minato released her hands and turned around to see his beautiful wife's face "it's part of the process Kushina" he kissed her "you should stop worrying about it."
" I love you " the red head said looking at him before hugging him again snuggling close to his chest this time. Minato responded by kissing her crown and hugging back " I love you too."

Sasuke and Yuugao clashed with their sword on another part of the island. The animals in the once quiet island were quickly learning to stir clear of the shinobis, unless they themselves try to get close to them like the Inuzukas who were gawking the first time they saw those huge wolves.
"You know, you learn quick with sword" Yuugao complimted. Sasuke smirked "You're just slow" he teased. Yuugao parried another downward slash from the Uchiha before she redirected it away until her sword is lowered before trying to swipe Sasuke's legs off prompting him to jump. Yuugao instantly pushed his chest down with her weight as they both fell to the ground hard with Sasuke at the bottom and her on top " what was that?" she asked in seductive tease.
"Uuuggghh" the Uchiha groaned in stood up from her position before offering a hand to the Uchiha "If I'm allowed to use my sharingan you wouldn't be able to do whatever you wanted" he said indignantly but the older girl just showed her tongue to him in teasing manner.
"So when are you going to teach me genjutsu?" she asked. Sasuke smirked this time "say please" he said earning a punch to his shoulder.
"Listen, what you said about using your sword as a catalyst for your genjutsus is just physically impossible…." he paused thinking "unless we start talking about seal mumbo jumbo" he mumbled quietly.
"what was that? I did not quiet catch it up" she said pointing her ear towards him. Sasuke answered much more quicly than his taste "nothing!"
Sasuke sighed as he continued explaining " it's because your sword cannot produce something than can be sent by chakra waves to other people, like light wave or soundwave" he contemplated for a while "But if for example you casted the genjutsu on you and your sword instead so that when anyone that looks at it will be affected, that could work" he said.
"great! So when are we starting?" she said almost too cheerfully as Sasuke just rolled his eyes. A messenger bird that is one of those from Uchiha clan that Sasuke provided started circling them and squawking indicating that they are being called, probably for a mission. Sasuke generously provided the birds through summoning seal that he connected to the birds. He gave all the Uchiha hawks except for his up and going project, he sighed 'it would still take sometime but they're almost a meter tall now.'

"So how do I do it?" Sumire asked her eyes twinkling in excitement making Naruto smile.
"Well, the book only thought me how to use Samehada to connect with nature but how about you try summoning Nue first" Sumire frowned at Naruto's uncertainty but she nodded 'Kuchiyose no Jutsu!'
"Nuuee?"
"Now what?" she asked looking at the blond. Naruto contemplated for a while "try to medidate, empty your mind and don't move a single beat. Probably even better if Nue is in contact with you" he instructed as the cute summon jump on Sumire's shoulder.
"Okay " she said as she went to meditative position. She did it for about three seconds before she twitched subconciously. Naruto flicked her forehead " You're moving" he chidded.
Sumire rubbed her forehead "it's harder than it sounds" she said more to herself. Naruto nodded "I don't need to meditate because Samehada does the nature chakra balancing once we merge or so the book says but I heard this is how the toads from mount myoboku does it" he explained.
She sighed sadly "well, another roadblock" she said finding more interest on the ground as she look at it. The snake tail of Nue suddenly bit her behind the neck making her flinch and throw her summon. "Aw! What did you that for?" she let her anger out unconciously.
"Nuuee" the small summon sounded in scared voice as it slowly stepped back. Nothing was said again as a squawk came from hawk above them. Sumire returned her eyes to her summon only for it to return to its real in a puff of smoke. Naruto rubbed her back gently ""You might have went too far but I'm sure Nue will understand."

"you're here now" Minato said as he observed the more schooled features of Naruto and Sumire. Both Sasuke and Yuugao have arrived earlier and with them inside the tent is the ex classmates of team seven, Kiba and Shino. "what's with the look?" Yuugao asked curiously.
Naruto chose to answer for her "we've met some…. complications, on certain jutsu" he said earning a raised eye brow from the rest of the party.
Minato sighed remembering her talk with Kushina earlier "I have a mission for you Naruto, I trust you can take charge of this mission. Youll be parting with Kiba and Shino here, Sumire should round up the group" he said changing the topic.
"what's the mission tousan?" Naruto asked, with all the works and not being Konoha ninja anymore it also mean the older blond is not his sensei anymore too. " you're going to rain. The rest of the Inuzuka and Aburame clan that was left when we escape Konoha went into hiding there. You're going to bring them back. And while at it, you should be able to apply some exit entry seals along the way. I will provide you ten of Kushina-chan's seal design" Naruto nodded already having all the information needed.
Minato turned to the other pair "Sasuke, Yuugao you will come with me and Kushina. We're going to destroy the only nation that can threaten us" he commanded. "A whole nation?" Yuugao asked reluctantly. She is used to killing but to kill a whole nation when they haven't done anything yet?
"Don't get the wrong idea Yuugao" Minato said seeing the hesitatio on the girl's face "Those people will attack us once the get a whiff of us being here. They have always been dreaming of taking over the lands of Uzumaki, that was why they aid their destruction" he said. The command made sense a little bit more but it doesn't mean she will like it more. Still, she had been starting to have people she can relate with. She have reasons to protect now and not just do something blindly like back in Konoha.

Team Naruto wore shiny black mask without any marks and heavy hooded coats that hid their attire. This were bought by Minato by teleporting into one of the minor villages when he was on the trip to set up the first few entry-exit seals designed by Kushina. Her design is something ingenious, having mixtures of chakra identity seals and blood seals which would only allow all the ninjas from the island to use it.
They exited to entry-exit seal at the bay of the Fire country, the closest seal to the rain yet that's why Naruto had to put up the seals he currently had. They quickly scanned the area and arrived into one conclusion "a battlefield" Sumire commented.
Naruto nodded activating his sharingan to watch out for the traps. With the sharingan, Naruto is able to see any kind of chakra. So when he looked towards Sumire, he saw something at the back of her neck that attracts the chakra around her on top of her skin. 'what's that?'
