Good hello everyone! I hope you enjoy the new chapter. And welcome to all my new readers.

I only own Elena!

"Oh she is very beautiful! She does look a lot like her brother."

"Iris.. What are you doing in here!"

"Oh hush. I just wanted to see the Princess."

Huffing annoyingly Elena turned away from the unwanted voice, snuggling deeper into the warmth of Nyxs back, throwing one of her legs over his waist.

Deciding she wasn't ready to wake up she pulled the thin sheets above her head, hoping the intruders would take the hint.

After attempting to eat a full meal last night, she waited up for several hours seeing if Noctis would come and visit.. But to her disappointment he never showed. Her extreme anxiety getting the best of her, that either something happened, or he left her once again.

Nxy assured her though that he was just busy, helping around with the towns people. And coaxed her into cuddling under the sheets, which she immediately accepted and fell asleep.

"Iris!" A hushed whisper echoed across the room causing her large leg pillow to stir, waking her even more.

"Gladiolus.. Man, what are you doing?"

She heard Nyx yawn, as he moved to his other side towards the voices, keeping a firm hand on her upper thigh dragging it across his toned stomach, keeping it in place.. Elena rolled into his chest, snuggling deeper to block out all light, throwing an arm tiredly over his chest.

"Uh. I.. Sorry it was her!"

Elena pictured the giant man pointing a large finger at the nosey female. Though funny. She was still extremely tired. And not in the mood.

"I WAS QUIET BEFORE YOU DECIDED TO FOLLOW!"

She felt Nyx let out a tired groan, moving his arms from around her to rub his face.

The two siblings continued to argue. And if it continued any longer Elena was going to be the one to finish it.

"Iris." Nyx smooth voice, without a hint of exhaustion broke the bickering.

"Uh.. um.. yes." The once loud, and authoritative voice of Iris immediately quieted to one of a small child.

"Let the Princess wake up. And I'm sure she'd enjoy some company, and answer whatever questions you'd like."

Though Elena was annoyed with having to meet with anyone besides her brother, the thought of another female to talk to was comforting.

And the light caresses Nyx massaged down her back over her shirt was helping her stay relaxed, even lulling her back to sleep.

"Yeah. Of course. See ya soon Elena. Sorry for waking you up."

And just like that the siblings left the room just as quietly as they entered.

"That was unnecessary." Elena grumbled burrowing deeper into Nyx.

"She's innocent." Nyx yawned stretching is long body before wrapping both arms tightly around her.

"Mmm. I'm sure." Elena was on the verge of going back to sleep when the door loudly slammed opened, and heavy foot falls filled the room.

"Libertus! What the hell!" Nyx growled pulling the blankets tighter around her.

That's right.

Elena just noticed the man has been mysteriously missing since her rescue.

"Uh. Um. Er- Sorry, but we need to talk." Libertus stumbled over his words, she had yet to turn around to acknowledge his presence, but he knew she was probably awake. "Alone."

"Give me a minute."

Elena immediately pulled away from Nyx once she heard the door shut, and they were once again alone.

"So? You're still keeping things from me?" Elena grumbled as she got out of bed and stormed over to her duffel pulling out a pair of black shorts.

"Its not like that." He sighed getting out of bed picking up his pants from the floor. "When I have all the answers I promise you'll be the first to know." He stepped around the bed buttoning up his jeans.

"I can't lose you." She whispered looking down to toy with her shirt.

"I know." He sighed stepping near her brushing her crazy bed head away from her face. "I'm trying everything." He guided her head up, placing a firm kiss on her lips. "I'll have breakfast brought up." And with one last quick peck he grabbed his gun off the table, leaving her alone with her thoughts.

Elena sat hunched over her large tray of varied breakfast foods, atop of the bed drooling, she would have to remind herself to give Ignis a big hug, she hadn't eaten like this since Insomnia. She was sure her stomach probably wouldn't even be able to handle all of the, meats, and deliciously sweet pastries.

A knocking at the door startled her as she was about to take a huge bite out of some chocobo jerky.

Squirming off the bed, she grasped the knife off her tray, tiptoeing towards the door. Silently listening for anything amiss, she knew she was overreacting, that she was safe, with the amount of fighters staying under the same roof. But her brother still has not made it back yet, and the others would have made their presence known by now..

She was only being cautious.

She couldn't help thinking what if this wasn't a friendly, and Ardyn found her again.

Huffing annoyingly as another loud barage of knocks echoed her empty room, she decided to toughen up, and welcome whoever was at her door with a deadly weapon.

Which was just a butter knife, with absolutely no edge.

Pulling open the door, lifting her shaking hand to point her knife at the intruder, Elena immediately dropped it behind her back staring blankly at the young dark headed girl that has already rudely interrupted her once.

"Princess Elena!" Iris chirped as she rocked back and forth on her feet, standing tall with her hands clasped behind her back. "I was just wondering if you wanted to go do a little shopping with me."

"Uh. Eh. Hello." Elena nervously looked around behind her to see if she was accompanied by anyone. But to her dismay she was not. "I- um I don't have any gil, and I'm waiting for my brother-"

"Psh. You are all taken care of sweetie. Your brother mentioned you might need some new outfits, and before he left he made sure to drop off enough gil for it." She smiled warmly stepping past the Princess and turning around to face her. "Is that what you've been wearing?"

Elena frowned as she saw the slight look of disgust on Iris face before looking down at her attire. She guessed shorts, a mans oversized shirt, with permeant stains was not in fashion at the moment. Grumbling she left Iris to sit back on the bed, this definitely wasn't what she'd normally wear, but this is all Nyx was able to procure with what little funds they've had.

"I promise you will feel like a new women after today! Pleaseeeeee?!" Iris begged as she sat next to her on the bed, slightly worrying Elena with how nice, and chipper she was.

"Uh. Sure. I guess." She was never really good under pressure, and with Iris sad puppy dog eyes, she just couldn't say no.

"Yay! How exciting!" She gushed jumping off the bed, skipping towards the door. "Meet me downstairs after your done eating!"

Elena blinking confused as Iris closed the door behind her, she could still hear her singing about how she gets to take a Princess shopping.

Groaning she hoped this wasn't going to be a mistake, but she also couldn't stop the feeling of excitement about maybe feeling normal for a couple hours.

Maybe Iris could become a new girl friend, which she was in need of badly. Too much testosterone these last couple weeks.

Chewing greedily on her jerky she bent over the bed, reaching for her boots.

"PRINCESS!"

Rolling her eyes she stepped down the stairs leading into the lobby.

"Iris. It would be best if you just call me Elena." She tried to say it as nice as possible, even forcing a smile, but it some how still came out harsher than she intended.

"Oh. Yeah right. Sure." Iris nodded quickly, Elena wasn't sure if she was completely unfazed by her demeanor, or just didn't care. "I have a few shops in mind. Also a couple outfits that you will definitely need for Altissa."

"Altissa? I - um - I don't think my brother is going to want me going there.." She wasn't completely sure if he didn't want her going. Hell they haven't even had a real conversation discussing anything.

"Of course you are. He has been going crazy looking for you. Now that your here he's going to be keeping a close eye on you."

Elena hummed turning toward the exit.

Iris had a point, and she definitely wasn't going to argue that. Elena wanted to go only where he brother went, she was terrified about being alone again. She'd be lying to herself if she didn't.

Spotting Ignis casually leaning against the entrance of the hotel, Iris waved enthusiastically trying to get his attention.

"I had to promise that we'd have an escort. And since Nyx is M.I.A at the moment, Ignis over there offered his services."

Nyx.. Why bring up his name..

She wouldn't blame Iris. She has no idea what their situation is..

Elena was just trying her hardest to forget about his impending death.. But it's becoming increasingly difficult since he continued to keep her out of the loop.

"Hello. You, who? Elena."

Blinking out of her inner musings Elena stepped back away from Iris who was incredibly too close waving her petite hand in front of her face.

"Oh. Sorry. What were you saying?" Embarrassed Elena pushed invisible hair out of her face looking up behind Iris seeing Ignis stare at her worryingly.

"I was just asking if your ready to go. Got a busy schedule, and I'm sure you'd like to be back before Noctis."

"Yes. Of course. Lead the way." Forcing a smile Elena waved Iris forward. Subtly eyeing Ignis out of the corner seeing that same look of worry.

Mentally kicking herself, she turned around stopping Ignis.

"Princess?"

"Ignis. No formalities please. I just want to tell you that I'm fine. I just have a lot on my mind. Please don't worry about me."

"Of course, your highness."

Ever the professional.

Grumbling under her breath about how she'll never get rid of her title she turned around and rushed over to catch up with her exuberant dark haired fashion advisor.
