so it had been 4 weeks of bed rest. Tris is now 6 weeks.
POV-Tris
I am so excited! when Tobias walks through the door, I will finally be able to leave the apartment!
15 minutes pass, when I see Tobias walk through the door.
"hey beautiful." he says exhausted.
"hi handsome." I reply.
"so, we get to go for a check up." I say
"yeah." he says
and as soon as he walks in the door, we both walk out.
"how was your day?" I ask
"same as it has been."
"sitting in front of a computer watching camera footage."
"you?" he asks
"I was just waiting for you to get home. so same old same old."
when we get to the doctor, Christina walks us to the check up room.
"so for todays visit, we are going to have Dr. Mindy come and take a look at how well you are healing, and make the decision on weather or not you can be taken off of bed rest." Christina says.
Christina puts the same stuff onto my belly and rubs the wand over it.
"right now, everything looks fine with the baby. I am going to give you guys the pictures, and than get Dr. Mindy to come take a look."
Tobias looks like he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.
"hey." I say to Tobias.
"everything is going to be fine."
"you don't know that Tris." he replies
Christina hands Tobias the folder of pictures and walks out of the room.
"Tobias." I say quietly.
"talk to me."
"I am worried Tris!" he yells
"what if everything is not fine!" I see a tear make its way down his cheek.
"what happened today?" I ask
he ignores me.
"what happened?"
he looks up.
"I was watching the cameras.."
he pauses.
"and there was a woman. about 36 ide guess. she was informed that she had a miscarriage."
"I don't want to lose another one." he whispers.
I cant answer. he's right. I don't know.
it is silent until Dr. Mindy comes in.
"so. lets lee how we are healing."
"Tris, I am going to need you to take your shirt off."
I look at Tobias.
"what!" he says
"like I've never seen your boobs before."
but he looks away anyways.
"so far, everything looks good. the stitches are healing well, and from the ultrasound, the baby seems to be doing fine."
I here Tobias let out a sigh of relief.
"we will take you off of bed rest, but you need to be careful. there are still some simple tasks that you cant do. So don't be afraid to ask for help.''
she leaves, I put my shirt back on, and we head back to the apartment.
when we get back to the apartment, I look at Tobias.
"see. everything was just fine."
Tobias does not say anything. he just leans in and kisses me.
POV-Tobias
I am relieved that everything is fine with the baby and Tris.
I am glad that Tris can now be let off bed rest.
but there is one more thing that I have to do.
"hey Tris. I have to go."
"okay."
"where are you going?" she asks
"I will tell you when I get back.''
I give her a kiss, and head out the door.
