Doyle and his men were all buckled in as the jet taxi down the runway, the jet started ascending up to their cruising attitude. The 3 Rizzoli still blindfolded, sitting still buckled in their seats, not knowing anything about the fate awaiting them. Tommy asked where they were being taken, Doyle said to a place far far away. They had been on the jet for over 2 hours, now it had landed, Doyle's men were preparing all the things that will be used. Escorting the 3 Rizzoli off the jet into the building, finally taking off their blindfolds all 3 of them were now face to face with Doyle, his men, Korsak and Arthur. Tommy and Frank Sr. were the first to finally speak, asking what is going on? As Doyle's men gathered all 3 of them, taking them to tables, and strapping them on the tables, each of Doyle's men carefully picking up examining each instrument, tool and weapon that was going to be used in the torture of them. It began with Frank, Sr. and Tommy, the two men beat, pressed hot irons into their skin, with Tommy they took extra pleasure cutting slices into his penis, both men were begging for them to stop, Angela was crying, saying she was so sorry, please stop. Finally before ending their lives, Doyle told both of them, their lives meant nothing anymore, and that they both made a very huge mistake murdering, and planning to do all the horrible things to his daughter Maura, and his grandchildren. And then his men shot all three out them, leaving their remains behind. Boarding the jet all of the men were happy this problem was taken care of. Doyle sent a encoded to Jane, as the jet was landing at the private air field.

It had been over a few months, since the unexplained disappearances of the 3 Rizzoli from BPD jail, the electricity had went out, so there was no surveillance tapes, no one saw anything, the case was filed under cold cases.

Korsak was back at BPD, helping out for awhile, Cavanaugh had asked him to return, Frankie and Nina were both out on leave. The department was short handed. Jane loved having Korsak back, they worked side by side.

Maura had been planning a surprise family vacation, but also a romantic 5 days getaway for Jane and her, knowing that they had been going through so much, since the case with the other 3 Rizzoli. Jane had been so strong, only letting Maura see her at her weakest point. Jane was always her protector, and she protected their children. She know that Jane was blaming herself for the murders of the cops, and also what Frank, Tommy and Angela was planning, Jane was having nightmares, was spending hours down in her gym after family time, punching the punching bag. They were attending counseling, and both were working on issues. The children were thriving, the 4 older Rizzoli-Isles, the boys were involved in sports like their Mama, and the girls were like their Mommy dancing and fencing. Ava Grace liked to watch her big brothers play sports, and her sisters dance. Ava Grace was approaching the terrible 2 s, she was very active, and Maura often said she was differently her Mama's child. Jane loved her wife, and children. Their marriage was solid, stronger than ever, their love was deeper and stronger then ever. Both of their careers were thriving, Maura's next book was being published, she was also asked to be a professor at BCU again. So Maura was planning the perfect vacation and romantic getaway, the date for their vacations was in September.

Jane had been working a very gruesome case, that involved the murder of 2 college students, both were also involved in drugs. She had been working around the clock for 4 days, staying at the station, chasing leads, questioning suspects, and reviewing surveillance footage. She called the children everyday 3 times a day, her wife brought food, and fresh clothes to her. Korsak had called to let her know where she could find her wife today, so she found her beyond exhausted wife, sleeping on the sofa in her office, she walked in just in time to witness Jane having a bad nightmare. Dropping her purse, bag of food, and Jane's clothes, she made her way to her, she carefully dropped to her knees, gently calling and shaking her wife's shoulder to wake her up. Jane woke up sweating, panting, and shaking, listening to Maura's calming, soft, sweet voice, she focused on it. She became aware of her surroundings, calming down, looking into the most beautiful hazel eyes, and pulled Maura into a hug, breathing in Maura's scent, she closed her eyes, sighing. Seeing Jane in the state she was in, Maura decided she needed to take her exhausted wife home, gathering all their things, Maura notifying Cavanaugh and Korsak, that she was taking Jane home.

Arriving home she helped Jane upstairs, undressed her, and put her to bed, taking her wife's cellphone she put it in the pocket of her robe, turning off the monitors, texting her parents that they were both home sleeping to please take the older kids to the guesthouse please, grabbing a sleeping Ava Grace and went back into their bedroom, crawling into with Ava Grace placing herself between Jane and Ava Grace, she fell asleep wrapped in Jane's arms. Waking several hours, Maura found the bed empty, no Jane or Ava Grace, grabbing her robe, she slipped it on, she went in search of both of them. As she was coming down the stairs, she could hear laughter coming from the living room, entering it she found them laying on the floor, watching cartoons, and playing, she watched her wife play with their daughter blowing on her belly making weird sound, Ava Grace saying again Mama, joining them on the floor, she leaned in saying hi I miss you, and you know how I hate waking up to you not being in bed. Chuckling Jane leaned in kissed her and said hi back, l am sorry, but this little nugget woke up hungry, you looked so beautiful sleeping, I hated to wake you up, Maur. Besides I miss this little one, needed a little Ava Grace time, as well as some time with my beautiful wife. Thanks for taking care of me, Maur.

Being a few weeks after finally closing the homicide case involving the college students. Jane and Korsak were closing another case today. Maura made plans to take her wife on a romantic getaway, the children had different camps they were attending, except for Ava Grace who was staying with her grandparents. Maura, Ava Grace, and her parents was waiting on Jane to get home and surprise her. Hearing the doorbell ring, Maura and Ava Grace headed to open the door, opening the door to Korsak, who was covered in blood, Maura screamed, Ava Grace started crying, reaching Maura, Constance took Ava Grace from Maura. Grabbing her purse, Korsak told Arthur and Constance Mass General, and ran after Maura.

Once everyone had arrived at Mass General, Cavanaugh and Korsak explained that the team was ambushed, Jane was putting on her vest, when shots were fired, Jane took a bullets in the head, chest and the left leg. The Doctors would be out shortly. CODE BLUE TO TRAUMA ROOM 1, CODE BLUE TO TRAUMA ROOM 1, was hear as Maura through the doors.
