Hello eveyone who may still be reading. I hope you enjoy this latest update, sorry it has been so long :)
Greg awoke from his restless slumber in Russel's office. He felt like crap and immediately remembered all his embarassment from earlier that night. He slowly and painfully pushed himsef up to a sitting position, looking towards the office door. It was closed to and he could vaguely hear the bustle of the lab on the other side.
Raking a hand through his hair, Greg leant over slightly and dragged his wheelchair across the floor, moving it as close as possible to the couch he sat on. With all his effort, he pushed himself from the couch to the chair and slumped in relief when he was sat somewhat comfortably.
Rolling his way out of the office, he tentatively opened the door and looked around. There were hardly any people around. He started to roll himself through the lab until he found the ballistics lab. Peering inside, he found it empty, so pushed himself further inside.
Looking behind him, Greg made sure noone was coming before punching in the code on the cupboard that held all of the firearms. When it beeped, he again looked behind him, before opening the door and looking inside. Without thinking about it too much he pulled out one of the first handguns in there. Opening the other door, he pulled out three bullets.
Quickly closing the doors, he stuffed the gun with the bullets underneath the shirt he was wearing and crossed his arm over it. He made sure the cupboard was secured again before slowly rolling himself through the lab. As he turned the corner he almost collided with Nick.
"Hey, I was just coming to see how you were" he said with a smle, "You feeling better?"
Greg nodded a little, "Yeah, I'm good. But, I want to go home" he said quickly.
Nick nodded, "Okay man, whatever you want. Let me just go tell Russell I'm taking you and then I'll be straight back."
Greg nodded but as Nick turned he called him, "I can wait at the car."
Nick raised his eyebrows and nodded again, "Okay, I'll meet you there in two."
When the time came to get in Nick's truck, Greg couldn't control the sweat that formed on his brow. Nick was helping him in and Greg was sure he would feel the gun hidden under his shirt. Luckily though, Nick just folded up his chair and went around to the drivers side.
Once they had pulled up on the driveway, Greg crossed his arm over his stomach as Nick helped him out. He let Nick push him inside and told him he would be fine to stay in his chair. Nick asked him multiple times if he wanted to move to the couch or his bed but Greg denied.
Nick said he had to go back to work and Greg just gave him a small smile and said he'd see him later. Before leaving though, Nick grabbed some cans of soda from the refrigerator and some snacks to leave on the table where Greg sat closest to.
Greg thanked him and wished he could tell Nick how sorry he was for what he was about to do.
Nick pulled up at the lab and hopped out of his truck, frowning slightly when an officer was stood at the entrance.
"Hey Dave, whats going on?" Nick asked as he walked up to him, looking through the lab doors to see lab members lined up along the corridor.
"Something in ballistics, I've been told to stand here and check for weapons as anyone exits the lab."
Nick frowned, "Can I go in?"
Dave nodded and Nick brushed past him and headed towards the ballistics lab.
"Hey guys, what's going on?" Nick asked as he saw all the firearms laid out on the tables in the lab.
Morgan looked up to him and nodded to the cupboard. "Theres one missing. Noone seems to be able to account for it."
Catherine shook her head, "Archie's looking at CCTV now to try and decifer when it went and who took it."
As if on cue, Archie called from across the hall, "Guys, come quick."
All three of them went over and looked at the screen as he pressed play. They couldnt control the shock and gasps that left their lips. There was no mistaking the person in the wheelchair was Greg.
"Oh god, i just dropped him off at home" Nick said and bolted out of the door.
"Nick wait!" Catherine shouted as she and Morgan followed him out of the lab.
Nick hastily opened his truck door and hung up his phone he had started calling, "He's not picking up his phone!" he told them in panic, punching his car into drive and speeding out of the parking lot.
The twenty-five minute drive suddenly became fifteen and as they pulled up, the three of them raced to the door, not prepared for what they would see inside.
