Hi Readers! As you can see I am updating this fanfic pretty early today.
You see. This morning I logged into Fanfiction to read any new reviews submitted to Love at First Sight. I saw that there were 5 however for some reason whenever I open the review page it doesn't show any of the new ones and just the ones sent in previously (what I've already read.)
Then I checked my Email and I still couldn't access the new reviews. THEN I logged out of my account and tried to view them by using Fanfiction as a guest reader.
I still couldn't access them.
So, then I uploaded a review to myself because I was just that desperate!
Yeah it didn't work.
Anyways, I thought long and hard and realised that one, I need a life and two if I upload another chapter and get even more reviews I might be able to see the ones from last chapter.
As you can see I'm in a bit of a crisis so it would be helpful to get a review or 2 this chapter.
Other than that, I want to thank anyone who views this fanfic because I now have over 5000 views! Yayy!
Today's chapter takes us to some karaoke place that I have not bothered to name. Leo is going to have a solo. You can probably guess what he's going to be singing. Well no more spoilers!
So, without further ado let's just get on with the chapter….. Enjoy!
Percy hadn't seen much of Annabeth since the accident.
Yeah he still saw her in the lessons that they shared. And yes, he even saw her at lunch since her and Thalia were always having whispered conversations with urgent expressions on their faces at the group table. Not that he had been stalking her or anything….
It was just…. She seemed quieter and kept to herself when Thalia wasn't around.
She didn't sit in front of her locker reading during break or when she went to school early. She didn't participate that much in lessons anymore. She didn't even spend time with the gang after school anymore. It had been less than a week and yet it felt like forever.
Okay from that last sentence you may think that all the above was a huge over exaggeration. In Percy's mind it wasn't though. Did he really have a crush on Annabeth?
Leaving Percy's mind now….
It was Tuesday afternoon and Annabeth and Thalia were deep in conversation. Annabeth was told to continue wearing her bandage until the stitch marks fully faded away. She hadn't told her friend anything about why she suddenly left the room after finding out she lost blood. She wasn't ready to share anything new. Instead they were talking about whether either of them had seen Luke around. Annabeth had shown Thalia a picture of her ex for this reason. He had a cold, blue stare, cropped blond hair and a scar that ran from just beneath his right eye to his jaw.
Neither of them had seen him at all. After that they were about to split up, Thalia to join the gang who were planning on going to a karaoke place (Leo's idea) and Annabeth who was going to go home but obviously Piper had other thoughts because she walked up to Annabeth and practically begged her to go with them. Annabeth tried to say no and make up an excuse but at the last moment Piper widened her eyes making them water and continuously repeated the word," Pleaseeeeee!"
Annabeth groaned before giving in. "Fine! But as a warning I'm gonna tell you now that eventually the puppy dog eyes thing will wear off."
Piper shrugged before pulling her by the arm to join the gang.
"She caved!" Piper announced loudly.
"Why don't you say it a little louder! I don't think the University of China heard you!" Travis told her.
Piper glared at him.
"Guys can we go. I really wanna get my karaoke on!" Leo said standing between them.
Everyone groaned at this causing Annabeth to think that he was probably a terrible singer.
When they arrived they all slipped into a huge booth. Annabeth was squashed between Thalia and Percy.
"Okay I'll go up first since I know that all da ladies luv the Leo Mcshizzle bad boy supreme." Leo told everyone.
They all groaned this time including Annabeth.
"You do realise your girlfriend is sat right next to you?" Frank said to him.
Everyone turned to Calypso who was on her phone obviously used to Leo and how he enjoys boasting his 'awesomeness'.
"He's going to sing his version of girl on fire by the way." Percy whispered into Annabeth's ear.
She was shocked to find that he was right.
Leo's version of the song:

The rest of the song went a similar way with Leo replacing any she's, or hers with he's and his. At the end of this dramatic scene the friends were ducking their heads in embarrassment while Leo bowed in all directions yelling "Thank you! Thank you! Please no autographs."
Percy looked at Annabeth who was frozen in shock.
"I know right?" He said to her.
"But how can you stand it?" She asked.
He just shrugged in answer.
"Okay so our table will probably not be allowed to perform for the next 10 minutes thanks to Leo for wrecking the elderly couple over there's ear buds so why don't we get some refreshments?" Connor asked before receiving bizarre orders and lots of money to pay for them. He dragged his twin off with him so that he could carry everything.
"So, Annabeth do you have a date to the dance yet then?" Nico asked smirking at Percy who turned a bright red.
"No, why?"
The rest of the table tried to stifle their laughter when they saw Percy with a relieved expression on his face. "Just trying to make conversation." Nico replied.
"Okay." Annabeth said not entirely convinced.
"Oh, look we're allowed to sing again why don't you and Percy sing a duet!" Piper said trying to keep expressionless.
"I don't sing though." Annabeth made an excuse, but it didn't work since her friends pushed her and Percy onto the stage.
Piper chose a song. It was from The Greatest Showman and was called Rewrite the Stars.

The song ended leaving the pair out of breath and their friends clapping and hollering other than Leo who was muttering about how he didn't get any applause.
The twins returned saying, "What did we miss?"
A few hours later everyone was going home. They all split up to walk their separate ways. Since Annabeth and Percy lived so close together he walked her home.
When they reached her front door, he spoke up.
"So, um Annabeth you know how you said you didn't have a date to the winter dance earlier?"
"Yeah." She said hesitantly.
"Well would you want to be my date?"
Muahahahahah. A cliff hanger! I'm so cruel aren't I?
