Albus popped up in Austria and hurried along. At this moment he hated the fact that he couldn't just pop up where he wanted. Although he had gotten as close as he could he knew that he still had a bit of a journey to get to Nurmengard. His mind was reeling with the new information. How could he have missed this bit? She looked so much like Gellert that he had not taken a second glance to see it. Did this mean that Ariana was still alive? Could she be after all these years?
After what felt like ages Albus finally made it to the top of the prison. He stared at the door knowing who was behind the door and tried to compose himself. The person he had considered the closet's to him in every aspect sat behind this door. Letting out a breath he opened the door to reveal the man who had stolen so much.
Gellert looked up at his old friend with a smile. He had known it was only a matter of time before he was to visit. Especially after he had received the Patronis from Rae. She was starting to pull away from him which was bound to cause some chaos with Albus.
"Hello Albus, to what do I owe this visit," he asked. Albus looked down at him with those crystal blue eyes.
"Who is Raes mother," he asked his voice level. He made no move to come farther into the small cell and Gellert made no move to invite his friend in.
"Come now Albus you are an intelligent man, surely you have figured it out by now," Gellert softly responded with a smile. He hoped that it was driving Albus up the wall trying to figure this out.
"Ariana," Albus whispered barley auditable. Gellert sat up straighter looking at him confused.
"Ariana is dead and has been since she was 14. How in the world could she be her mother," Gellert asked wondering how Albus had gotten to that conclusion.
"But her eyes…," Albus pondered. Gellert sat silently knowing that Albus would eventually arrive at the correct answer. He waited for a solid five minutes before Albus spoke again.
"Never mind that. Something else has been happening and as much as I hate to admit it I would like to bounce ideas off of you,'" he stated shocking the other man. Gellert knew Albus was similar to him in the aspect that if he didn't arrive at the right answer he did not want to ask for help. Albus could not figure the answer out to the riddle of Raefiya's mother which made him smile. He was not sure that he would. Albus took his silence as him waiting for what the ideas were.
"Rae is a seer like yourself," he started. Since Gellert already knew this he didn't respond or flinch causing Albus to study him. "She's having trouble with them. They tend to take a lot out of her and it is shutting her down.I fear that she is not going to be able to handle it and may take her own life to escape them," he finished getting a reaction out of his friend.
"Seers are very rare as you already know Albus. Have you not been teaching her that having this ability is special? That she should cherish it," he started getting irate. Taking a breath he continued a bit calmer "Although it's a special gift it is dangerous. No two seers have the same ability. Let her know that they do not always come true. Others free will changes everything in the matter of seconds. That should help her through some of it," he finished honestly worried about his daughter.
"Is there no way to take them away," Albus asked, causing Gellert to become enraged.
"Why on earth would you even ask that? It's a beautiful gift!" He roared the last part standing from his stone chair. Thunder crackled above from the intense emotion that Gellert was experiencing. It had been years since he felt his elemental magic coursing and knew he needed to calm down. Albus stared at him as if he was waiting for him to calm down.
"She has taken to brewing potions to try and stop them. She's already experimenting with some of her brews. With this she has also started keeping secrets from me. She has not even told me how bad the visions are and has resorted to using glamour to hide the toll it is taking on her," he said calmly. Gellert paled wondering what on earth was happening.
"Why are you not taking care of my daughter? I trusted her to you and you are watching her die right before your eyes," he snapped.
"Gellert she is like you! If I reach out about this issue she closes me out. She doesn't not like admitting that she has failed. If i was to go to her it would do nothing but make the situation worse," Albus stated his voice stern. He did not care for what Gellert was accusing him of. He loved the girl just as much, if not more. Watching her die before his eyes was not something he enjoyed.
"Maybe if you had talked to her about this sooner then maybe she would not feel the need to hide it. Sit her down and talk to her about what I've already stated. Opening up this ground for her to have a safe space will be good. Also, have her start writing about the visions. It helps to get the emotions down on paper especially when you dont want to talk about it. You have to stop her from taking potions. If she is like me she'll become dependent on them. You know as well as I do that every potion has a side effect. These brews she is coming up with could potentially be dangerous and react negatively with the others she is probably taking," he stated calming down. Albus nodded thinking intently.
"She has met a boy," he stated. Gellert looked at him confused. Had Albus locked her in a broom closet over the last 15 years.
"A boy that could be more," Albus added, causing surprise to engulf Gellert. Why was he telling him this?
"I figured you might want to know a little about her, other than she is exactly like you," Albus supplied as if reading his mind, which he probably had. Being locked away Gellert's walls had broken down. Albus reached into his robes and pulled out an envelope that flew over to Gellert. Confused, he opened it shocked at the contents. Photos of Rae looked up at him smiling. Tears welled up in his eyes and he looked up to question Albus only to find that he was gone. Taking a deep breath Gellert pulled them out and looked at them smiling and wishing he could see her in real life.

A/N: I am so sorry for the delay on this. I've been so caught up with school and other things that this has taken the back seat. I honestly am losing motivation to write it and have many other plot bunnies running around in my head. I am working on the next chapter but it is coming slowly. I have two directions I am thinking of taking this story but am not sure exactly which way to go. Reviews would be much appreciated it :)
