Talent Show (Lemon Warning)
Nessie's POV
This past weekend had been one of the most emotionally jam packed weekends in a while. But one of the best ones too. Now in order to get to my next weekend I had to get though teaching my classes, giving my final decision on which apartment I'd like, sound checking our act for the talent show, and having our act go off with out a hitch. I was still nervous a hell about singing. However, I was excited to sing one song in particular. My solo segment would be a little something special. Special for Jacob.
As I ready myself in my classroom I decide to give Ms. Jenks a call. Jake and I went over the apartment info last night. Though it would be nice to live close to Jake I really did like that last apartment we saw. It wasn't too far off my budget, plus it wouldn't be forever. One year, give or take. Hopefully enough time for my head to come to realized I won't be needing a safety net.
"Ms Jenks at your service." She answers on the second ring.
"Good morning Ms Jenks, this is Renesmee Swan."
"Oh Renesmee! Hello darling, did you decide already?"
"Yes I have."
"How excellent, usually my clients take days to decide."
"Well I didn't want to keep you waiting too long."
She chuckles.
"So what's your finally decision dear?"
"The fourth apartment, the one with the balcony."
"I knew you'd like that one. Alright I'll put in your paperwork. You should heard back from me in a couple days."
"Alright, can't wait to hear back from you."
"Have a good day darling."
"You too Ms Jenks."
I hang up just in time for the class bell to ring.
Well let's get to it.
My classes up to lunch went well as usual. Jake and I were grabbing lunch in the cafeteria today. I was locking up my class to head there now. As I walked down the hall I saw Jake with Lauren. She was blabbering about something and Jake had the look of annoyance. I had to save him.
I walked up to them.
"Hey!"
I say as I grab Jakes hand.
"Hi honey." He kisses my temple.
Lauren looks like her head is about to explode.
"Oh Hello Lauren." I tell her.
"Raynesme"
" Renesmee."
"Whatever. I'll deal with you two later."
Lauren says before storming off.
"What was that about?" I ask Jake.
"She's saying our relationship is against the schools policy."
"What? Thats ridiculous." I say a bit angry.
"Truly, but she has nothing on us. I talked to the principle and HR last week. They're writing up a dating in the workplace disclosure for us."
"You just think of everything don't you?"
"I do my best."
We grab our lunch in the cafeteria and take a seat in the teachers lounge.
"So I called up Ms Jenks."
"Great! What she say?"
"She said she'll put in the paperwork and I should be hearing from her soon."
"Now we play the waiting game." Jakes says taking a big bite of his burger.
After lunch Jake came to help me reorganize my office during our free period. How we ended up with me straddling him in my office chair I can't tell you. But I'm sure you could guess.
He squeezed my butt in his hands making me yelp into our kiss. I fisted the hair of the back of his neck as I kissed him hard. I grounded my hips over him. He was so hard under me. So strong. He lifted me up like nothing to sit me on my desk. He stood, towering over me even with the extra height of the table.

We exit my office.
"Tonight. Class prepping. I'll make dinner and we'll finished what we started in there." Jake tells me.

That afternoon I decided to pack a good amount of clothes to keep at Jakes.
Edward and Bella walk past my room and notice.
"Whoa Lil Sis, moving out already?" Edward asks. I laugh mockingly.
"No just packing some clothes I want to leave a Jakes."
"I though you were getting the apartment." Bella says.
"I am, but I'm also leaving some things with Jacob."
"Well you do have more then enough clothes for two places."
"You're one to talk.." I tell her.
"Shes taken over my side of the closet." Edward confirms. Bell smacks his arm.
I laugh at them.
"That's Alices fault, not mine."
"Yes dear."
"I should be hearing back from the realtor soon though, I gave her my decision this morning."
"That's great sis." Edward tells me.
"Yeah now we can go at it like some wild animals."
I cover my ears.
"Eww I don't want to hear that."
They laugh at me.
"We will miss you here though, it feels nice having you around." Bella says and she hugs my shoulders.
"It has been nice, but you guys are about to start a family. You're gunna want your space."
"Oh please, you know you're gunna be over here for the baby more than anyone else." Edward tell me.
"That may be true but I just really need my own place."
The doorbell rings then.
"That's probably Jake." I say.
"I'll go get him." Edward volunteers.
"Thanks Ed." I say as I pack up the last of my clothes.
Edward returns shortly with Jacob in tow.
"Hey beautiful." Jacobs greats me with a kiss.
Bella and Edward snicker.
"Help me with my bag?" I ask Jake.
"What's all this?" He asks.
I smile.
"The clothes I'll be leaving at your place."
He smiles back.
"Guess I got to move some stuff around."
Jacob loads my bag into the car and we're off to his place.
We enter the condo. Jake puts my bag in the room while I start setting up my lap top to prep for my classes.
Jacob comes back from the bedroom almost 30 minutes later.
"What took you so long?"
"I was making room for your clothes." He kisses me before heading to the kitchen.
"I'm gunna start dinner." He calls out.
"Need any help?" I ask.
"I'll be fine."
With that I continue the assemble of my lesson for tomorrow and the next couple days. 45 minutes later I was basically done and smelling the delicious scent of food. Setting my lap top aside I venture into the kitchen.
Jake is working by the stove. I put my arms around him.
"It's smells really good."
"Hope you like it. I made an asparagus stuffed chicken breast, with mashed potatoes, and some steamed veggies."
"My mouth is watering." I tell him.
"Should be done soon."
"Okay let me know, gunna go situate my clothes."
"Alright."
I kiss his shoulder-blade and was off to the bedroom.
Jake has emptied out one drawer and a good portion of his closet. I refolded my T-shirts and placed them in the drawer along with any pjs I had, couple jeans, my underwear and socks. In the closet I hung up my dresses, blouses and skirts. Once I was finished I went back to the living room. I see Jake setting the table.
"Dinners ready Ness."
"Just in time."
I grab us our drinks while Jake brought dinner to the table.
We take our seats.
"This looks so good Jakey, thank you." I lean over and kiss him.
"You're welcome sweetheart."
After dinner I insisted on doing the dishes. It was the least I could do. Jacob came up behind me while I was doing the last of the dishes. His arms wrapping around my mid section my hair was up in a messy bun, it gave him the opportunity to mark me with wet kisses. It makes my body feels like jelly I grip the counter for support.

He could tell I was about to give the same excuse so he puts his fingers over my lips so he could finish.
"I want to give you everything Ness. And when the time comes, I want to do everything in my power to try and give you a child. I don't care what you're doctors have said, I don't care that you don't believe it could happen. I believe in us. And we can do anything."
In that moment I could have dropped to my knees proclaiming my love to this man. He gives me one thing no one else ever could, hope.
I grab his face and kiss him.
"I want that Jake, I really do. I'll try better to think more positive about the possibility of kids in our future."
"That's my girl, now let's get you cleaned up."
After our shower we laid in bed talking. More about the future, about the family, about moving day, about what he could move into the apartment. About us.
"Would you want to get married one day?" He asks me.
"Well, I've had a love/hate relationship with marriage. After, you know. But if it's with you," I say stroking his face.
"I'm up for it."
He smirks.
"So, do you want a cheesy proposal?"
"How cheesy are we talking here?" I ask.
"Scale of 1 to 10. One being me slipping your ring in your champagne glass at dinner, Ten being me riding horseback towards you at Disneyland with your family and the whole world precent."
The visual of Jake on horseback at Disneyland cracks me up.
"Oh my god, hahah. I want to say about a 6 on the cheesy scale."
"Noted, I won't let you down."
"I'm sure you won't."
Tuesday and Wednesday had me on edge. Not only was there a crazy rain storm all day, I had to have a sit down with the schools HR to disclose my relationship on paper. Damn Lauren better pip down after this. Then I had to deal with some of my more rowdy student. And to top it all of I'm getting nervous about the apartment. I thought I'd hear back from Ms. Jenks by now.
It was already Thursday, thankfully sound check rehearsal went smoothly. Least one thing is going right.
"You sing beautifully ." Says Nahule.
Great just what I needed. Another creepy encounter. I've seen him from time to time around the school but he never really said anything to me again after our last encounter.
"Thank you Mr. Joham." I said I enthusiastically.
"Please call me Nahule." He tell me.
"I'd really rather not." I replied, hurrying to gather my things.
"Listen I know Mr. Black cut our last meeting short but I was hoping you would take up my offer for lunch."
"Seeing that he and I are in a relationship I don't really think that would be happening."
"So that old dog snagged the prize."
"Excuse me but I'm not anyone's prize."
He just smiles at me.
"Well maybe when he's busy we can grab a drink or something."
Is this guy serious? How dumb is he?
"In no way, shape or form would I ever want to go out with you. Please keep away from me from now on."
I grab my bag and power walked to my classroom.
What the hell was wrong with that guy? Hopefully he takes the warming. Next time I'm telling Jake. Who knows what he'll want to do about him.
I'm opening my class when.
"Boo!"
I jump in surprise and big arms come around me.
"Damn It Jake!"
"Sorry honey, saw the opportunity and took it."
I step into my office.
"How was the rehearsal?" He asks me.
"Oh it went great. The boys are excited."
"What about you?" He asks.
"A little nervous."
He pulls me in his arms.
"Don't be you're gunna do great. I can't wait to see your performance."
I hope he'll enjoy it, especially the surprise I had for him.
"I can't wait either."
My cell began to ring in my pocket then. I pulled it out to see Ms. Jenks in the screen.
"Oh I hope it's good news." I tell Jake before taking the call.
"Hello, this is Renesmee."
"Hi Renesmee, it's Ms Jenks. I have some great news for you sweetie."
"Did I get the apartment?" I ask excited.
"Yes you sure did Hun."
I give Jake an excited face and he smiles from ear to ear.
"Oh gosh that such good news. I'm so happy to hear that."
"I'm happy for you too dear. Now we just need the final paperwork to go through and I should have you're keys by the weekend."
"That's perfect."
"Excellent, I'll be in touch soon."
"Sounds great, goodbye Ms Jenks."
"Goodbye Renesmee."
I turn to Jacob.
"I got the apartment!" I yell throwing myself on him.
"That's great news honey."
"Just the news I needed, it's been a rough couple of days."
"I know it has sweetheart." He says kissing my forehead.
The rest of the day went pretty well.
Jacob and I went out for a ramen dinner. He was trying his best to ease my nerves for tomorrow. He even rubbed my back while I fell asleep that night.
My classes were all a blur performance day. Here I was with my students backstage enjoying the show and itching to get on that stage ourselves. Hope this goes well.
Bella's POV
Edward, Jacob and I took our seats in the auditorium.
I was so thrilled to see Renesmee preform again after so long. Jacob was off the wall excited.
"You really don't know what she's playing?" He asks me.
"No, I have no idea. Your guess is as good as mine."
"We'll find out soon enough." Edward tells us both.
"Do you want any snacks before the show start love?"
I've been trying to control my cravings but everything smells so good.
"Those nachos look pretty good right now." I confess.
"Your wish is my command."
He says standing up and planting a kiss on my forehead.
"Jake? You want anything."
"I'll take a hot dog, thanks Ed"
I turn to Jake.
"I haven't had a moment to really talk to you, how are things going?" I ask.
"Everything is really good."
"You and Ness doing okay?"
"Yeah we're perfect. We have our off days I'll admit. But we get though it and we're stronger after it."
"So do I hear wedding bells?"
Jake blushes, actually blushes.
"I can see it. I want that for us. She's it for me Bells."
Tears start forming in my eyes.
"Damn pregnancy hormones." I say fanning my eyes.
Jake laughs.
"Are you thinking of proposing soon?"
"Don't really have a set time, plus I'd like her to be able to say those three words to me befor I propose you know. We'll get there."
"She still hasn't said it yet?" I ask.
"No, she's been on the verge of saying it but she keeps holding back."
"She'll say it soon I'm sure."
"She can take as much time as she needs, I'm not going anywhere."
That's one thing I always liked about Jacob, his loyalty. That's something Nessie really needs. What everyone needs. I'm so glad they found each other.
Edward then appears just as the lights dim.
"Hot dog for my the gentleman, nachos for ma lady."
"Thank you sweetheart." I say pecking his lips.
"Got to keep my baby's happy."
He says rubbing my tummy.
The show coordinator came on stage. Thanked everyone for coming out and proceeded with the first act. A student along with the art teacher crated large scale paintings together.
Music filled the room as their paints and brushes created masterpieces in minutes.
The next act was a juggling act with the boys PE teacher. Not bad at all.
The third act was a comedy routine with Mike Newton and one of his students. Funny, but there was a little more dead noice then anyone would like.
"Next up we have Adam, Kevin and Henry with their music teacher Ms. Swan." They announced.
Everyone cheered, especially Jake. His voice boomed above the rest.
Renesmee came up to the mic. Her white Gibson guitar strapped on her shoulder.
"Good evening everyone, thank you for coming out tonight. I just wanted to say how proud I am of my students. They put in a lot of hard work leading up to today. They're extremely talented musicians. Can't wait to see what they do with their talents in the future. Hope you enjoy our musical set."
The audience applauded once more and with that the lights dimmed.
The drums begin the iconic song of Move Along. The rest of the band joins in and Ness begins to sing with one of the boys as her backup. I'm so proud of my sisters ability to teach these kinds. But no one could be prouder then Jake. I'm scared his face is going to break by how big he's smiling. The song ends short and applause begin. Ness leaves the spot light but a piano begins to play. The light shift to the band and Ness behind a piano. The sound of Bring me to life fills the room. Jake is on the edge of his seat as Nessie sings. Edward and I can barley contain out laughter from out friends excitement.
The piano fade into a different song. The boys fade from the light. It's only Renesmee up there. And she begins to sing.
"Wise men say only fools rush in,
But I can't help falling in love with you"
Not sure if she knew where Jake was. But her eyes fall onto him.
His goofy smile replaced with a look of awe.
Tears sprung to my eyes.
She was telling him in her own way that she loved him. It was a beautiful moment.
From where I sat. I could see Lauren. Huffing and puffing. Shooting daggers at Ness and Jake.
Jacobs POV
Her eyes never left me as she sang that song. I was a very happy man just then. Nothing else mattered. The whole room of people disappeared and it was just me and her.
Their music set ended with Nine in the afternoon. They were amazing. Everyone stood and applauded I was so proud of them especially my Nessie.
The show went on from there. All I wanted was to get to Nessie.
"I'll be back." I told Ed and Bells as I stood.
I took a back way out of the auditorium. I knew a secret way to the back stage.
I saw several kids and a few teachers roaming about.
"You guys that was seriously amazing. I'm so proud of you."
"Couldn't have done it without you Ms. Swan."
I walk behind a curtain where I hear them talking.
"I'm sure you could have done it without me. You guys should keep this up. Find a fourth man. You could make it."
"It's gunna be hard to find someone to fill your shoes Ms. S."
They all chuckle.
In peak through the curtains. One of the boys Adam spots me.
"Lets go grab a bite and enjoy the rest of the show guys." He suggest and they all agree leaving Nessie alone.
"Psst!" I whisper.
"Hello?" She whispers back.
"Ness."
"Jake!" She pulls the curtain back and finds me. A huge smile on her face.
"Hey gorgeous," I say pulling her into my arms.
We kiss, small and quick but full of longing.
"What did you think?" She asked enthusiastically.
"I think you were amazing, the best I've ever seen or heard."
She blushes looking down.
"And what did you think about my solo song?"
"I'm thinking that song was for me, right?" I ask running my hand through her hair.
"Very right." She confirms.
"You falling in love with me Ness?"
"I am. I already have...I...I love you Jake."
My heart leapt out of my chest. The words I've been longing for. Been willing to wait however long were finally here.
I pull her in for a kiss. Her arms circle around my back. I lift her up. Keeping out kiss from ending.
"I love you too Ness, but you already know that." I say against her lips. She giggles.
I set her down. Still cupping her face.
"Dinner after the show?"
"Definitely, I'm starving."
"Then dessert at home?" I wiggle my eyebrows.
"You know I can't resist."
I'm about to kiss her again but Lauren shows up.
"You're not supposed to be back here!"
"I just came to see my girlfriend."
"You're a guest in this school at this time. Return to your seat."
Wow was she really playing this game. I roll my eyes at her.
"I'll see you after the show."
"Okay."
I kiss her forehead.
Lauren is shooting daggers at me.
I return to my seat and watch the rest of the show.
At the end all the participants came on stage. They were applauded for their talents and thanked for their participation. Then it was announced that the show had made its goal in raising money for the Halloween masquerade dance. All the kids cheered.
Everyone started exiting then.
"Ness and I are going to grab some dinner, care to join?"
"Oh! I'm up for that." Bella said enthusiastically. Her appetite clearly ravenous.
"Great. Meet you guy's at the usual dinner?"
"We'll save you a seat." Edward says.
I made my way to get Nessie.
Once at the dinner Bella was gushing all over Nessie.
"You did so great, just like when you were a kid." Bella said.
"Thanks Jelly Belly."
"And those kids did so good." Bella exclaimed.
"They had a good teacher." Edward said.
"I do my best."
"Did you tell Bells the news honey?" I ask Ness.
"What news?" She asks.
"Well I'm going to be out of your hair very soon. I got the apartment." Nessie explained.
"Holy cow that's great!"
"Really happy for you Sis." Ed tells her.
"I'm gunna miss having you at the house though." Bella says with watery eyes.
"Aww jelly belly, but now you can start decorating the baby's room early. I'll even help."
"That does sound fun." Bella says cheering up.
After dinner we said our goodbyes and headed home.
I carried in Nessie's guitar. I set it down in the hall closet when we entered. Ness shrugs off her jacket. I pull her to me, enveloping her in my arms.
"So now that I've heard you sing will you sing around here more often."
She chuckles.
"You know I prefer playing guitar or piano, anything but singing."
"I don't know why though, you sing so beautifully."
"Well maybe I'll sing a little more, but don't push it."
"I won't, I won't." I say as I tilt her chin up to bring her lips to mine.
She melts into me. Running my hands down her to her hips I cup her thighs and yank them up. She curls her legs around my waist instantly. I make my way to the bedroom.
