"Amy, honey, you look so pretty." her dad told her. "Ty's waiting for you in the barn. You should hurry." Amy smiled.

She had carefully selected her outfit especially for Ty. A simple cotton top with eyelets scattered across the bottom hem, spaghetti straps, and a light blue ribbon tied neatly in a bow under her bossom. She wore her favorite light blue jeans with silver stitched horses running across her two back pockets. Her boots were new, a buck suede with flowers stitched in white. She combed her long golden hair before putting in her white cowboy hat and pink lip gloss. She dabbed lavender oil on her wrists. She was pleased when she looked the mirror.

"Hurry Amy. You don't want to be late."

She skipped to the barn feeling so happy. Ty was home. She missed him. As she approach the barn, the door was open. She could hear Ty's voice, she smiled. She couldn't see him. So she followed his sound into the office.

Her grandpa was standing in there, with his back to the door. "Ty, welcome back. I am so proud of you son. You brought back a beauty."

Then she heard a laugh. A woman's laugh. She stepped around Jack. Blair was sitting on the edge of her mom's desk, legs crossed at the knee. She was wearing only a sheer black bra and panties and thigh high black boots. Amy was mesmerized. Blair was beautiful, alluring. She could have been on the cover of a Victoria Secret catalog. Every man, and woman, would br attracted to her, would want her.

Amy looked down at herself. Embarrassed. She saw herself as plain, almost childlike. Naive. Certainly not beautiful, alluring. How could she be so stupid to think that Ty would be attracted to her?

She heard Ty's voice again. "Oh Blair." He groaned. Amy looked up. He was on his knees before Blair, running his hands up her legs, between her thighs. She uncrossed her legs for him.

She looked right at Amy. "Hi there Amy." She said sweetly in her accented voice. Behind her, she could see her mom's picture hanging on the wall, smiling with Pegasus.

Then Blair pulled Ty to her.

Amy yelled, "Ty, don't. Please don't."

Ty turned his head and said "Amy I told you. I am taking the high road." He smiled and turn back to Blair. She laughed and threw her head back.

Amy started screaming.

"Amy! Amy! Wake up! You are having a nightmare!" Lou was shaking her. "Amy, please wake up!"

When Amy finally woke, she broke down in Lou's arms. "Oh Lou."

Between sobs, Amy told her of her horrid dream. Lou held her, rocked and smoothed her hair. "Hush now Amy. It was only a bad dream."

To Amy, the dream felt so real, in vivid technicolor. She couldn't shake her feelings of embarrassment, betrayal. How could Ty, dad and grandpa standby and let this happen? In her barn, in her office, on her mom's desk. She began to wail, to retch.

Jack heard the commotion and came running into the room. "Amy! Lou! What's wrong? Are you hurt?"

"Grandpa, she had terrible nightmare about Ty and you know who."

"Oh Grandpa. Why did he bring her here?" She sobbed. "Why her? What's wrong with me?"

"Amy. Where is this coming from? You are perfect. There is nothing wrong with you." He kissed her on the forehead.

Tears started to flow again, "Its okay Amy. We're here. We love you."

"Lou. It just hurts so much. Sometimes I can't breathe."

"Amy. You need talk this through with Ty." Jack asked.

She nodded "We some talked before dinner. He told me about his trip. About Blair. He said he was attracted to her." She sniffled. Her eyes were burning, nose running.

Jack handed her a tissue. He couldn't bare to see her so emotionally distraught, he had to leave the room.

"Amy." Lou whispered. "Sooner or later, you will realize that Ty does not want her. If he did, he'd be with her, not here with you. He loves you. Can't you see that?"

"No."

Lou continued to rock her. Amy's breath shuddered, rose and fell. She calmed a bit. "It just hurts so much."

"Amy." She looked up and saw Ty standing there with Jack. He opened his arms to her "Let me hold you. Please."

She sniffled then let out a hiccup. She rose and went to him. As he enveloped her, Lou and Jack left the room closing the door behind them.
