Notes: The first half is what I had previous written the last half is knew. This chapter is definitely not by best ones and I apologize. It's taking a while to get back in the mood of things. I will try to make the next chapter a lot better.

Chapter 16: Let the Fights Begin

Ami's POV
Ami arrived to the hotel and quickly used her Giasu on the concierge by the front desk to get herself a room. She looked around making sure no one from team Urameshi wasn't there to spot her. She grabbed her keys and made her to the room. Arriving at her room she put her armor away. She walked around her room and walked over to the window. She looked down and saw Kurama with the others making their way to the hotel. Kurama looked up the window to her room and quickly closed it and hid away from the window.
"great, now I can't take this off otherwise he will pick up my scent." She said as she looked at her clothes. " I am sorry Kurama, but I don't want to hurt you again…" she said and walked over to the bathroom and took a quick shower and headed off to bed. Tomorrow would be the first fight and she would have to find a way to join one of the teams in order to fight against Toguro.

Kurama's POV
Kurama and the others finally arrived at the hotel. Kurama breathed in and looked up at the window at the hotel.
"What is it Fox" Hiei said
"Nothing, I just picked up a familiar scent in the air" Kurama answers and they continued to walk to the hotel.
They walked in and Kuwabara mentioned something about how he didn't trust adults wearing fancy clothes, but Kurama just ignored him. Kurama finally made it to their room. Yusuke was still asleep. They had an unpleasant surprise by the team they would be fighting the next day.

Ami's POV
The morning came faster than Ami wanted, but she was ready to fight. She got dressed and quickly made her way to the stadium. She was in the back watching as both teams made their way to the ring.
"Strange Yusuke is still asleep" she thought and kept watching as both teams were discussing the rules for the fight.
Zero unleashed his energy and there were flames all around him. Ami took a step forward and watched and Zero's flames surrounded the Urameshi team. She reached out her hand and the flames made their way to her, burning up the stadium and everyone in its way.
The flames disappeared once it was absorbed by her hands. She made sure no one saw that it was her.
Both teams looked in her direction but she had already moved somewhere else.

'That was close' she said as she walked around the stadium trying to find a spot to stay hidden and watch the entire fight.
The first one up was Kuwabara.
'' what's he up to? Does he really think he can beat the little kid?' Ami thought to herself.
The fight was hard to watch at first it looked like Kuwabara had the upper hand but then Rinku started to show his true colors. Unleashing his yoyo against Kuwabara turning him into a human kite. While all eyes are focused on the fight she decides to go for a walk around the stadium.

She receives a call from Koema asking her to meet with him. She makes her way to him hoping that he will have some answers on how to get into the tournament. Upon arriving at Koenma's room, George opens the door.

" Koenma, were you able…" Ami says and gets interrupted by Koenma.
"Great you're here Ami, you won't be able to fight in the tournament. We already have a complete team, but what you could do instead is study the opponents Urameshi' steam will be facing." Koenma says and hands Ami some files with vague information on the other fighters.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS KOENMA!" Ami yells at him.

"I did all that training and you're not gonna me fight Toguro." She looks at the files on the counter and throws them on the floor and storms out of the room.

She runs out of the stadium and angry screams. She takes off her gloves and shoots fireballs to release her frustration.

"Aren't you a powerful little thing?" A voice from a man comes from behind a tree.

She turns around and sees a short man with pointy ears. She prepares to fire.

"I can see that you've been crying, I can help you… if you'd like" he says and takes a step closer.

"I don't need any help…" she spat back at him.

"Oh okay then… suit yourself. I guess you don't want to beat Toguro." He responds and turns around to walk away.

"Wait you, how did you know?" She looks at him confused.

"You just told, plus a demon like yourself trying to disguise that energy, while training out here instead of watching the fight...also you're not in any of the teams…" he chuckles. "But you said you don't need any help…" he walks away.

"Wait, hold up, you can help me defeat Toguro?" Ami as she follows the guy.
"Who are you?" She asks

"I am Dr. Ichigaki… My team will be fighting tomorrow and they're gonna win and move on to fight Toguro, I can have you in my team and give you a chance to fight him, but first I just need one small favor from you." He says as he turns around to face her again.

"Dr. ichigaki… your name sounds familiar" she mumbles and thinks back to some of the files she saw earlier.

"Yes, perhaps you've heard of me, I can cure anything… I can help you control that power inside of you, that catsuit can only hold your power for so long. I have just the perfect solution." He smirks and pulls out a flask.
"You wanna fight him don't you… well just a little bit of this liquid, you will be able to boost your strength enough to beat him." He smirks.

Ami, blinded by her hatred for Toguro, takes the flasks and drinks the whole thing. She starts to feel a little dizzy and collapses.

"Hah, stupid girl…" says Dr Ichigaki as he signal for some of his goons to come and grab her.

They take her to their room, the doctor ties her up and turns her into one of his minions.

"Great, this one shall win me this tournament… her fire ability plus my mind control will make her unstoppable…" he looks around and sees the tv playing the fight.

"Hmmm...Perhaps we can have a small trial by sending her after the Urameshi team." He mumbles and leaves the room, leaving Ami to complete the transformation.

Ami feels her body burning from the inside, she can't breathe but somehow her body still fights on for dear life. She doesn't remember how she got there, she tries to break free but her body isn't responding, the only thing she hears is a voice whispering constantly
"Kill Them, Kill the urameshi team, kill, kill." The whisper kept repeating over and over.

Notes: I know this chapter was really short, but I really tried. Next chapter writing style might change as well. More similar to my other Fruits Basket's work. Thank you for your patience.
