Goodbye O'Malley, I no longer see you.
Harry is the main antagonist of A monster calls. He is introduced as Conor O'malley's school bully who would target him and beat him up due to him being invisible.
Why he sucks:
He is portrayed as a selfish, sadistic, and a insufferable hypocrite who thinks Conor is invisible for no reason.
He serves no purpose with the story
He is extremely meanspirited.
He bullies Conor, nonstop without no one ever aware of it, and is proud of it, but never gets punished.
He is very unlikeable along with his two henchmen, Sully and Anton.
He is the source of Conor being an outcast and his deal with the Monster of the Yew Tree.
He has no character development and redeeming qualities.
He only exists to make Conor's life miserable and doesnt apologized, making him a filler character.
The only 2 redeeming qualities:
Thankfully, Conor was able to fight back at Harry by beating him up and taking him to the hospital so that he will no longer harm him.
He has a little screentime.
Trivia:
Harry can be compared to Taylor, from the comic book I kill giants.
Both are insufferable, cruel, and are the source of the main protagonists' behaviors.
Taylor is portrayed like a minor thug, and a racist, while Harry is sadistic than a hypocritical saint.
Both bullied the main protagonists, Nonstop.
