Chapter 16: Raditz and Maron

Raditz had some of the least severe wounds from the battle against the Saiyans, so he was allowed to leave the hospital and go on his date with Maron.

Raditz never thought that he'd be so nervous at something as simple as a date.

Raditz had never really been taught about romance, and how it worked. His parents were Saiyans who saw the value in choosing one partner to spend the rest of their lives with.

So Raditz wanted to make a good impression on this woman.

He dressed in an outfit much different from His usual armor. He wore a black shirt that hugged his chest a tad, along with a pair of jeans lent to him by Yamcha.

And so, Raditz was following the sidewalk to the coffee shop she asked to meet him at.

After about three minutes of walking, Raditz stood in front of the coffee place.

The man, "ya gotta be a little more specific."

Raditz nodded.

Raditz, "yeah. With my lifestyle, romance was never an option."

Unknown to the man and woman talking, two kids were watching them closely.

Gohan and Chi Cha had managed to sneak out of the hospital, and were now watching Raditz on his date.

Maron was giggling like a loon. Raditz and her had been exchanging stories for a few minutes now. They had ordered their coffee a while ago. Maron got her's with extra cream and sugar, and Raditz seemed to like it black.

Maron, "you just did."

She snickered as Raditz said, "funny. But, um. If I may ask…. Why did you ask me out?"

Maron, "hmm?"

Raditz, "yesterday at the hospital, you asked me out so casually. If I had tired asking you out, it would've taken me a whole year or more to work up the courage."

Maron, "well…. For a while now, relationships haven't exactly been my fortay. Most men I've dated usually want one thing."

PokemonFreak90: thanks. I was trying to make both her and Chi Chi better moms than the show. In my story, Bulma doesn't try to change her son or husband into their opposites, and Chi Chi marrying Yamcha, someone with more common sense than Goku, mellowed her out a bit.

Namely, Chi Chi, Yamcha and Chi Cha go with Krillin, Bulma and Gohan to Namek, Raditz goes with Goku later on, and we'll have some moments focusing on the characters on Earth. And I'll try to make the lemons detailed and long. Lemons aren't my strong suit, so bear with me.
