Kage and Riser stood across from each other, staring one another down.

Kage charged at Riser. Riser underestimated how much power Kage now had and put little effort into blocking Kage's attack. Much to Riser's surprise, Kage's attack broke right through his defense and knocked him into the wall behind him.

Kage threw another punch at Riser, which Riser was able to dodge. When Kage's fist made contact the wall it caused a part of the building to fall.

"Next time, you won't be quite as lucky." said Kage, still facing away from Riser.

"There'll be no next time." said Riser, "You'll never get another chance to land a hit on me again. It's time I really show you my power."

A surge of energy began to resonate from Riser, making the surroundings start to shake and a gust of wind from the burst of energy blew.

"Know, I'm just gonna kill you and get this over with, because I'm getting sick of this shit." said Riser.

Riser charged at Kage, and just as he threw a punch, Kage disappeared. Riser became shocked and incredibly confused. He then looked up to see Kage above him.

Kage kicked Riser upside his head, sending him flying off the rooftop of the school.

Riser caught himself before he hit the ground and turned towards Kage.

"Heh, I guess I keep underestimating you." said Riser.

Kage jumped down from the rooftop and began to walk towards Riser.

"Kage, be careful!" shouted Rias as she looked over the rails at the battle that would soon ensue.

"Well, I guess I'll start being serious and treat you like an actual threat." said Riser.

Riser powered up once more, the energy radiating from him growing stronger as he continued to power up until he no longer could.

"There, I think that'll do the trick." said Riser.

"That's fine by me, I was wondering if you'd ever pose a threat again." said Kage.

Kage stopped and looked at his sacred gear.

"Well, just in the nick of time, it seems that the time for me has come to have a quick boost as well."

"Boost!" cried out Kage's sacred gear.

Suddenly, a burst of energy came from Kage. The power radiating from Kage was incredibly similar to Riser's, if not a slight bit less.

"Shall we?" asked Kage.

"We shall." replied Riser.

Kage and Riser charged at each other and both threw a punch at the same time. Their fists collided when they threw their punch. The impact sent out a strong shockwave that made the surrounding tremble.

Kage and Riser began to exchange blows, each one seeming to keep up with other, blocking one another's hits. Occasionally, one would make contact, but they would take the blow and keep going, delivering a blow right back.

They continued to do this for a couple minutes, neither of them really gaining the upper hand. Every now and again Riser would land a few good hits that Kage couldn't quite keep up with, but Kage would still catch back up and keep going.

As they continued to fight, Kage found himself short of breath and having trouble keeping up with Riser. When they began to fight again, Kage began to notice just how much trouble he was having and how difficult fighting had become.

"Oh, Kage…" Rias thought to herself worriedly.

Rias noticed the trouble Kage was having as well. She began to grow worried, just hoping Kage wouldn't get hurt. The thought of Kage being hurt plagued her mind.

Kage sent a roundhouse kick to Riser's face, which Riser caught. Riser grabbed Kage's leg and threw him into the school building, making a small crater in the wall. Almost immediately after making the contact with the wall, Kage received a knee to the stomach.

"You don't seem so tough now, do you?" asked Riser.

"I've had worse." said Kage as he spit out a little blood.

"Is that so?" asked Riser.

"Yeah." replied Kage, "Dying was so much worse than this."

Riser grabbed Kage by the hair and picked his head up.

"Well, let me remind you of the feeling." said Riser.

Riser shot out a large amount of flame from his hand at Kage.

When the flames had stopped, Kage stood there, shirt burnt off and a few burn marks on his skin.

"I believe that'll do the trick." said Riser as he began to walk away from Kage.

"Do you really think that's all it's going to take to finish me." said Kage as he stood back up.

"You lived?" Riser asked in surprise, "You surprise me more and more, ya know that, kid."

Kage threw a punch at Riser, only for Riser to dodge it and elbow Kage in the face. Kage fell to the ground, holding his face.

"Ya know what, I think I'm gonna keep you alive, so that you can hear when I kill the blonde girl and have my way with Rias." said Riser, "Just to let the thought that it was all your fault stew in your head. Honestly, I think that you've made me even more excited for the wedding. I can't wait to see the look on your face when you come to realize that you've lost your precious "prez". To realize that you'll never hear her moans of passion, as they only moan out my name over and over again. The thought of the misery you'll experience will give me some joy. But, if it's any reconciliation, you're probably the biggest challenge I've faced in these rating games. If you'd been given more time, who knows what might've happened."

"Now, I'm off to finish with those two girls, then I'll come back to savor the slow and painful death that I'm going to give you. said Riser as he began to walk away.

Kage started to laugh, his laughter becoming louder and more maniacal. Riser stopped dead in his tracks and turned to Kage.

"What's so funny?" asked Riser.

Kage removed his hands from his face and looked at Riser. A big, malicious grin spread across his face.

"I was just thinking about how you really should've killed me when you had the chance." said Kage.

Riser scoffed.

"What do you mean, "had the chance"?" asked Riser, "I'll have all the time in the world to torture and kill you when I'm done with these two up here.

"I don't think so." said Kage as he stood up, "Because you forgot one thing. I've still got another boost."

Riser's eyes widened once he realized that he had truly made a mistake.

Just as Riser had gone to stop him, it was too late.

"Explosion!" cried out Kage's sacred gear.

"AHHHHH!" Kage cried out as the amount of power began to flow through him and a massive amount of energy radiated from him. A powerful gust of wind began to blow hard enough that Rias, Asia, and Riser felt as though they were being pushed back. The ground began to rattle like a small earthquake.

Finally, when everything had settled, they looked at Kage in surprise.

It looked like Kage had gotten bigger muscle mass, his sacred gear had grown larger, and they could feel an intense power from him.

Riser stepped back from Kage. He had a feeling that he never felt before or thought he would. As Riser took a couple steps away from Kage, Kage disappeared in a flash.

"What the-?" Riser asked as he felt Kage's energy behind him.

Riser looked back to see Kage looming over him.

Riser jumped back to gain some distance from Kage, but his speed was no longer a match for Kage's.

As Riser landed, Kage kneed him in the stomach. Riser spit out a little blood as he folded over Kage's knee. Kage then picked Riser up by his hair then punched him in the face, sending him crashing into a tree which broke over Riser. Kage walked over to Riser and grabbed him by the throat then threw him into the wall of the school building which Riser broke through.

Kage went over to Riser then picked him up by his face. Kage jumped up into the air as high as he could, still holding Riser by his face. As he began to fall, Kage held Riser's head down. As they hit the ground, Kage smashed Riser's head into the ground. The impact caused a large crater to open up in the ground, debris and dust flying into the air.

Rias and Asia covered their faces the avoid the dust and debris from hitting them. As the dust settled, they saw Kage standing over Riser holding a ball of magic.

Kage stared at Riser for a few moments before speaking.

"Do you have any final words, Riser?' asked Kage.

Riser didn't speak, he only stared into Kage's eyes with an apparent look of anger plastered on his face.

Kage smiled.

"Good, I'm tired of hearing your fucking voice anyways." said Kage.

Just as Kage was about to blast Riser, he stopped. They all looked at Kage in anticipation.

Suddenly, the ball of magic disappeared. Kage began to couch up large amounts of blood as he doubled over fell to his knees.

"So, I see you don't have the strength and energy to hold that for very long." said Riser, "You haven't even been holding that form for a minute and you're already getting a backlash from the pain."

Riser stood up and approached Kage.

"You're just as weak as I thought you were." said Riser.

"You wouldn't have dared to say that a few moments ago." said Kage, "Just consider yourself lucky,"

"I'll remember that as I watch you die." said Riser as he kicked Kage in the stomach.

Kage coughed up more blood.

Just as Riser was prepared to make the final blow, Rias jumped in the way.

"Stop!" Rias cried out.

"Prez, what're you doing?" asked Kage as he attempted to stand back up.

"Please, no more, Kage." Rias pleaded.

"It's… not over." said Kage.

Just as Kage stood up, he fell to his knees again.

"Kage… please." Rias pleaded again.

"Please, prez, don't do this." pleaded Kage.

"But Kage, look at you." said Rias as she held Kage bloody face, "I can't let this continue."

"But I can't quit until I make sure that you win." said Kage, "I have to ensure that you live a happy life, and you can't have one with him. It is my duty as your servant to fight for you."

"But it's my duty as your master to make sure that you're safe." said Rias, "If I let this continue, I'll fail my duty."

Rias took Kage's head and rested it onto her lap. She stroked Kage's hair and looked at him as he looked up at her.

After a few moments of silence and them looking into each other's eyes.

"Prez, I'm sorry." said Kage, "I'm so damn sorry that I failed you."

"Kage, don't say such ridiculous things like that." said Rias.

"You fought hard, all of you did. You, Akeno, Kiba, Asia, and Koneko. I'm so proud of all of you. But you pushed yourself past your limits and poured every last bit of your power into this. You put yourself through so much, took so much of a beating and kept going. You're a fool, ya know that? Putting yourself through so much, just for me. I'm the one who failed." said Rias as she began to cry.

Kage pressed his hand onto Rias' cheek and wiped away her tears.

"C'mon, don't do that." said Kage, "You know that I'd gladly give everything for you. Please, don't cry, I hate to see your beautiful face stained with those tears."

Rias hugged Kage and Kage hugged her back.

"You were so brave and so strong." said Rias, "Stronger than I'll ever be."

"Hey, prez." said Kage.

"Yes, Kage?" asked Rias.

"I… I…" Kage tried to speak.

Rias slowly felt Kage's body begin to fall limp as she held him tighter and began to cry again

Kage saw her begin to cry again through his closing eyes.

"I'm sorry, I don't have the strength the wipe away your tears." Kage thought to himself, "I'm sorry, Rias."

Kage fell limp in Rias' arms as he passed out.

Rias kissed Kage's forehead.

"I forfeit." said Rias.

Hey guys, It's been a long time. I've gone quite a long time without putting up any new chapters. Well, after the longest time of dealing with some shit, I've finally gotten back into the mood to begin writing again. So hopefully you enjoyed this chapter.
