Chapter Eighteen: My Thomas

Days passed and Thomas hasn't waked up from his unconsciousness. James kept his vigilant at his side. He wanted to see Thomas's blue eyes again. He wanted to tell Thomas how the Fyre kingdom was the one at fault and more importantly, he wanted Thomas as his love. James would sometime stay up all night just to wait for Thomas to open his eyes.

Nia told James multiple times that he will wake up when he's ready. James knew that Nia was right but just seeing his Thomas like that, broke him into pieces. Nia was very supportive and would always made James a meal. Nia also tried to teach him important things like not letting his anger get the better of him.

Then one early dawn, James woke up and saw Thomas still hasn't awake. James was very upset. He wanted his love to be alive. James placed his hand on Thomas's hands, which were resting on his chest. James felt like he was started to lose hope. It's been a week and Thomas hasn't woke up. Is he already dead?

Just then Nia arrived, "Oh, you're woke up early again. I just hope you are still sane."

James did felt like he was going to lose his sanity if Thomas doesn't open his gorgeous blue eyes, "I just want Thomas to wake up now! I've been praying to Lady and he still hasn't opened his eyes!"

Nia sighed, "I know how you feel James. You just feel like you're going to burst into flames.", she said sadly, "I already made breakfast for you with delicious food. I have to go and meet someone for his appointment so I hope the food is good."

She then put her hood on, exited from her hut, and went off. James now knows that every day, she has an appointment with someone but he does wonder who this person is. He didn't focus on that question at all as he was more focused on Thomas's condition. James looked at his breakfast and shook his head. He didn't felt hungry and he hadn't eaten for three days straight, which made Nia very concerned.

James then looked at Thomas and tears began to flow down his cheeks. He remembered the good times with him when they were kids. They had so much fun and they would always make jokes on one another. Then he remembered when he reunited with Thomas and he felt like his sun inside had risen again and the ball. The ball was something he never forgets, even though he got caught, the waltz with Thomas was amazing. He wished he could do it again but he felt like it will never happen again as now he felt like he lost his happiness altogether.

James then closed his hands together as one, got down on his knees, and prayed for Lady, "Please hear my prayer, Lady. May my love open his eyes and be alive? Amen."

James knew that his prayers technique didn't change a thing and he started to lose faith. He then vowed himself that if Thomas doesn't wake up, he will die with him. James then turned his head away and looked at the sun. He sighed. He decided to get a better view. He walked to the window and went to get a better and clearer view. The view didn't make him feel better but worse. He felt that false hope was tormenting him. He then closed his eyes and cried.

"Stupid prayer of mine! Thomas will never wake up! Why me? Why does Thomas have to suffer like that? I should have been the one on the bed injured not my Thomas! I swear if he doesn't wake up I'll...", he shouted out loud.

Before he could finish his sentence off, he heard the bed shuffled, and then he heard Thomas's moaned in agony. James's eyes went wide and turned his head around as fast as lightning. There in front of his eyes, was his beautiful Thomas, slowly opening his sky blue eyes. James gasped, 'Thomas. Thomas!"

He ran to him and tears of happiness flowed down his cheek, "Oh Thomas you're alright.", cried James in joy as he knew that Lady must have heard his prayers for once.

What he didn't expect was that Thomas gave him a dirty look, "You lied to me.", he said dryly yet weakly.

James was upset to hear Thomas's tone and how he spoke to him like that. What had made Thomas say that? "Thomas? What are you talking about?"

"Don't play innocent!", replied Thomas and he slowly got up, "You don't love me and you've been messing with my feelings, let alone kept secrets from me!"

James's mouth went wide in shock. Why would Thomas say that? What made Thomas think of that, "Thomas…"

"Frankie told me everything!", shouted Thomas.

Then James's eyes went wide. Frankie. She's the one who told those lies to Thomas and let alone try to kill him. His eyes narrowed, "That Frankie!", he growled to himself quietly.

James really wanted to kill Frankie for what she has done to his innocent Thomas but for now, he wanted to explain Thomas the truth about his life and explain that he genuinely loves him.

"Thomas? Look at me. That Frankie is nothing but a liar and a heartless woman!", pleaded James.

Thomas didn't dare to look at James and folded his arms with his body facing away from him. James knew that Thomas was also a stubborn type, so he had to try to find a way to get him to listen, "Thomas. I'll admit I haven't told everything about my life but the only reason why I didn't want to was I wanted to protect you."

"Protecting me from what James, your home? Well, you failed miserably. You'll never be a good king from hiding stuff!", said Thomas coldly.

James didn't like that Thomas. He liked the happy and caring Thomas. Seeing him acting bitter and cold made his heartache and his mind screaming, "Thomas? Just listen to me, please., You don't have to change your view of me once I finished my story okay."

Thomas then looked at James with a glare and decided to listen but he vowed to not fall for James, "Thomas. My life was miserable. You see, my father was very abusive ever since Hiro disappeared. He would often beat my mother so hard that she would have so many injuries. He sometimes beats me up. my father began to teach me how to feel hate and honestly, that feeling was horrible."

Thomas's glare slowly began to fade away but his body was still facing away from James and his arms were still cross, "To escape from pain, I would go to the woods and claimed it as my safe spot. Then, when I met you Thomas, things changed as you showed me compassion and love."

Thomas began to slowly turn his body towards James with his arms starting to relax, "Then when I tried to explain to my father that you saved me, he didn't believe me and told me I was a bad boy.", said James solemnly, "That's the day when I began to hate my father with a passion."

Then Thomas's anger towards James started to die down and was replaced with the feeling of sorrow yet he was still making sure to not to fall for James, "Then when my mother died from an illness, my father decided to remarry Frankie and I hate Frankie as she's a very mean and haughty woman. My father even had an affair with Frankie.", added James, "Then it gets worse. My father then got sick and died. I was now stuck with Frankie and she was cruel to every subject and made them wear black while only I and she can wear any colour we desire."

Thomas then could see James's tears coming out of his eyes. Thomas then realised that he was the one telling the truth, not Frankie. Deep inside of him, he still loves James and knew that James was honest, "Then when I saw you again, you were like my angel, coming to save me from pain.", cried James.

"I always love you Thomas ever since the day we met. I had those funny feelings from you and now I realise that we are meant to be together but I guess it's not the case.", said James and he closed his eyes hard and covered his face, "I'm sorry that I didn't tell you everything about life. I just want you to be happy and safe."

Thomas's eyes went wide. James had made all the sacrifices just to make him feel happy and not to worry at all. Even though he was quite upset about James's action, he now felt sadness for James. He now felt horrible to get mad at James. He was right indeed as James would never want Thomas to get hurt both physically and emotionally. There, Thomas placed two of his hands on James's arms and slowly put his arms down.

"James…", said Thomas quietly, "I'm so sorry about that and I'm sorry I believed her lies. I just knew that deep inside you will never want that happen to me. You're amazing and you made all those sacrifices to keep me smiling."

James looked at Thomas's face and could tell that Thomas had forgiven him, "Just don't hide that kind of stuff from me again. Promise with an oath?", said Thomas with a serious yet gentle tone.

James's eyes went big as he looked at Thomas's pure blue eyes. His eyes sparkled from his tears building up and the sunray hitting him. James sighed, "I promise. I also forgive you from you lashing out at me."

The two then slowly smiled at each other. They were both at peace again and knew that their love was so strong and nothing can tear them apart. Then James placed his hands on Thomas's cheeks and whispered, "I love you, Thomas."

Thomas blushed in a deep shade of red and looked at James with a smile, "I love you too James."

Then the two leaned in and closed their eyes. The more closely they got, their mind shouted louder to kiss now and their face started to heat up. There, their lips brushed together. James's eyes went wide as his head was exploding with shooting stars. This is it. James had finally got his lips onto Thomas's. Thomas felt his heart was about to come out of his chest. Thomas thought this was amazing.

Finally, they locked their lips together and kissed slowly and gently. James smiled during their kiss and Thomas smiled too. Then James lowered his hands and wrapped his arms around Thomas's back while Thomas wrapped his arms around James's back. Then their kiss went from gentle to a tender kiss.

During their kiss, James mumbled, "My Thomas."

Their kiss lasted for a few minutes but for them, it felt like forever. The two knew that their love was pure and it was true love.
