Chapter 15:

With both Papyrus and Undyne's help, monsters all across the Underground came to the castle in mass, including the newly-cured Amalgamates, all of them being black and white, but all of them also rejoicing at how they were their previous selves now. And the one who was the happiest was none other than Mrs. Snowdrake, who approached me with the widest smile on her face with Snowy and her husband.

"Hello, Sykes," she smiled at me.

"Good to see you've recovered, Mrs. Drake," I smiled at her.

"I'm honestly kinda surprised that you destroying the barrier would've led to the cure for me and all the others... I feel a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders... you have no idea how hard it was for me to be in that state..." she said with a shiver.

"I've been in a situation where I was trapped in a room with no light and no one to talk to for 3 years. If not for my sister giving me this watch, I'd have gone crazy," I said to her with a smile.

"Yeah, by the way, is it true what we heard? That Asriel... he's back from the dead too?" asked another, me recognizing him as Kibo, the one without arms and the striped shirt.

"Yes, he is... it's all thanks to Chara that he's with us again. It was her plan that made it so that we could have this happy end," I smiled as I shed a tear for her. Wherever she was, I had to hope that it was a better place, since she sacrificed herself to save the Underground and Asriel.

"Well, did you save your sister?" Snowy asked with a smile.

"Yes, he did. I can vouch for that," said Asriel as he appeared from behind me with a smile and the group of monsters around us were stunned by his new appearance.

"P-Prince Asriel? Why is your fur brown now?" Snowy asked.

"Look at my hair and ask that question again," I smiled, the group then gasping at that.

"You mean that Asriel has your sister's soul?" Mrs. Snowdrake asked.

"Yes... it was the only way I could stay in this form... you weren't the only ones injected with Determination. I was injected with it when I had turned into a flower. And I did some truly terrible things... but Sikes was still forgiving enough to find mercy in me, even to the point of letting me have his sister's soul," Asriel smirked.

"Can she still speak?" the father of the Snowy asked.

"Yep, I can alright. I just talk through his mind and we have shared control of this body," my sister smiled. "I can't wait to show him the cuisine of the surface world and how to make it. I don't mean to brag, but I'm a master chef," my sister said happily.

"She's not wrong, her pancakes and burgers are to die for," I smiled.

"Burgers? Don't tell me their made of sequins and glue, okay?" asked another face, this one being a teen-looking monster that looked like a raccoon creature. And he was dressed in a fast-food outfit.

"No... who in their right mind told you that? Burgers are made from meat, bread, and condiments like ketchup and pickles... who's the one who told you burgers are made of arts and crafts items?" Sunny asked with confusion.

"That'd be my boss, Mettaton," he said with a small, forced smile.

"Looks like I'll have to give the robot some cooking lessons, then. Asriel, let's go find him," Sunny smiled.

"Of course," he smirked, me giggling at the synchronicity that my sister had with Asriel. Asgore then did a count of the different people in the crowd and had a smile on his face.

"Attention, everyone in the Underground," Asgore said, all the monsters looking at him as he was next to Alphys, Undyne, Sans, and Papyrus. Toriel still didn't want to forgive him, so she was among the crowds. "Today is a glorious day for all of us. Thanks to the human Sikes and his ingenious plan, the barrier is broken, Prince Asriel is reborn, and the future looks brighter than ever," Asgore said as I then approached him and he smiled at me kindly, the monsters all cheering when they saw me make my way to him.

"Would you like to say any words, Sikes?" Asgore asked, me smiling and nodding my head at that. I then took the microphone and started to speak.

"Hey, everyone. As you know, I am the human that you all knew and encountered during my time in the Underground named Sikes Passif. Though it would be nice to get full credit for this, I'm afraid I can't take the full credit," I smiled as I placed my hand on my chest. "You see, when I first arrived down here, my soul's mere presence was able to call forth a certain human's soul back from the afterlife. This human was regarded as the first human to have fallen down here. The Fallen Child, Chara Dreamurr," I said, everyone either being surprised or murmuring to themselves at that. "Chara latched her soul to my own and assisted me in my trek through the Underground... through a lot of stuff you'd probably never believe me about, this world was actually caught in a time loop for quite awhile... it was only by my arrival to the Underground that these time loops ended. And it was also because of this that Chara formulated a plan. In order for everyone to have a happy end, she told me not to kill a single person and to make everyone happy, until we could finally reach the barrier and destroy it, using the prophecy of the Deltarune to do so," I said.

"Uh, I have a question!" said one of the monsters, me seeing that it was Muffet and she was raising all 6 of her arms.

"Yes?" I asked.

"W-What was this plan supposed to be about? And how did it involve Asriel being brought back from the dead?" she asked.

"Well, first off, that's two questions," I smiled, the crowd giggling a bit at that and Muffet sticking her tongue out at me. "Alright, all jokes aside, the plan involved Chara's soul being used to destroy the barrier along with most of the other human souls... but I didn't want to lose my sister, so Chara offered her soul as well as the soul of a bad human she managed to defeat in an alternate time loop. Asriel, at the time, was turned into a flower and kept trying to impede my progress through the Underground on my way to Asgore. And when I executed my plan, it involved having Chara's dual soul being turned green and switching it out for my sister's. Soon after, Asriel stole them all and tried to capture my friends' souls too. But Chara then used her powers and forced Asriel to turn into his monster form, as both of them were merged previously. And after Asriel shattered the barrier, I gave my sister's soul to him, as, without a soul, he'd turn back into a flower again," I said.

"So what you're saying is that Chara was the one who sacrificed herself in order to defeat the barrier? And the plan was mostly between both you and her?" asked Bob the Temmie from the crowd.

"Correct, though Chara had more to do with the plan than I did, to be honest. I can only hope that this time, when she went to the other side, her sacrifice wouldn't be in vain for her sake... you see, before her soul was called back from death, she was on the bad side of the afterlife," I said with a sigh.

"Sikes," I heard Asgore say from behind me. "I'm positive that Chara's actions in these past few days were more than redeeming enough for her on the other side. Even if she doesn't go to heaven, she'll at least know she did a good thing for everyone down here in the Underground," Asgore smiled.

"Yeah, you're right... but now isn't the time to mourn over Chara," I said as I pointed my finger upwards. "It's high time that we go to the surface and integrate back into human society. It won't be easy getting the humans to accept the monsters, but I'm positive that, with due time, we can show them how nice we monsters are and that we deserve to share the planet with them," I smiled, the crowd cheering at that. "Let's go!" I smirked, all of us going to the door to the surface at the top of the mountain. And when we got on the outside, I saw that it was high noon and that the sun was directly above us. As the monsters got out of the Underground one by one, they all smiled at the sight of the daylight and the beauty of the surface.

"Eeheehee! It's been ages since I've seen this beautiful surface world!" Gerson said with his usual old coot nature.

"I want to say something... I think that Sikes can be a human ambassador for the monsters," Asgore smiled.

"Of course! Sikes will make a great ambassador! And I will be the ambassador's greatest mascot! I'm gonna go and make a good first impression!" Papyrus smiled as he then started to run off towards my village.

"And there he goes. We should follow him," I smirked.

"i'm gonna take a shortcut," Sans smiled, me smirking at that as I then looked at Toriel, Asgore, Yanderplane, Sasha, and Asriel, looking at all of them with a smile.

"Let's get going to my home, guys. You can all stay at my place... and Yanderplane and Sasha?" I smiled, looking at the duo happily. "If you want to, I think both of you can still be my girlfriends, as both of you combined were my girlfriends already," I smiled, the duo giggling at that and blushing on their faces, which is the only time their bodies had any color.

"Okay, Baka," Yanderplane giggled.

"I'd love that, Sikes," Sasha smiled at me. "Alright, let's get down there," I smiled, all of us proceeding down the path with all the other monsters. And upon us getting to the village, the residents looked surprised at the mass of monsters that were coming from the mountains, but none of them ran away. In fact, they just looked surprised, especially since I was the one leading the way.

"S-Sikes? Guys! Sikes came back! And he brought a whole armada of monsters back with him!" said one of the village residents, the village cheering at that wildly as they saw me... until I heard a sound that I dreaded. It was the sound of police sirens. And when I looked in their direction, I knew I was in for a rough time. It was one of the cop cars from the prison I was in. And the taxi driver came out from the back of it with a sneer on his face.

"Hah! So this is your big plan to avoid goin' to prison again, bastard?! Bringing a whole bunch of monsters to back ya up? Don't make me laugh!" the cabby frowned, me looking at him with a frown.

"Shove it up your butt and to the left. You tried to force me to give up my prized possession because I couldn't pay you enough cab fare! And to be quite frank, all of these monsters here? They are not only my friends, but I am their ambassador and a member of the royal family," I said, the cabby laughing at that as the cops looked at me in confusion.

"Royal family? What do you mean?" the one cop asked.

"Who cares? He's just spoutin' nonsense! He's clearly still insane! Go 'head and cuff 'im and put 'im back in solitary!" the cabby laughed. And when he did that, Undyne was the first one to step up... and by step up, I mean she sent a magic spear at the cabby that embedded itself in the dirt mere centimeters away from his feet! "Eep!" he exclaimed in shock.

"You think that we'd be willing to subject him to that torture a second time?! He's had multiple panic attacks on his journey through that mountain, all of them because of that horrid torture! SO SHUT IT, PUNK!" Undyne exclaimed angrily as the cops looked at her in worry and held their guns up.

"Undyne, easy," I said, her frowning and retreating back into the crowd after that.

"What Prince Sikes says is the truth, mister taxi driver," Asgore said as he came forward with Asriel's hand in his. "He and his sister are now adopted to the Royal Dreamurr family, which means he is not only the ambassador to the monsters, but he is also a prince. And last I checked, that means that he doesn't deserve to go to jail for whatever crime you think he's committed."

"We have evidence that says he vandalized my cab!" the cabby exclaimed.

"Yeah, because you tried to threaten Sikes with jail time if he didn't give you the watch I gave him! If it weren't for that watch, he'd have lost all bit of sanity in that prison!" my sister exclaimed from Asriel's body and the cabby looking at Asriel in confusion.

"Huh? How did you talk with your mouth shut?" the cabby asked.

"Because my sister's soul is currently fused with Asriel Dreamurr, the other prince of the Underground. And because they are one in the same, both of them are members of the Royal Family. And since my sister is a royal family member, that means I am too. Let's see what the media has to say when they learn that you arrested a human that freed the monsters from their unfair captivity in the Underground and who happens to be a prince. I'm telling you, the publicity would pretty much ruin that horrid torture program you call a prison. It's not a prison, cops. It's a torture chamber, a supermax prison. And I get in there for breaking a guy's leg? A guy that was robbing a bank? Sound familiar?" I frowned at the cop. The cop then holstered his firearm and simply got back in his car, the cabby gasping as the cop then drove off, leaving the cabby in the dust.

"You've done it now, you bastard! I'm going to get you! Just you wait and see!" the cabby exclaimed at me as I simply took out my own gun and shot him with a Justice-powered shot right in the shin. The guy gasped as he suddenly felt his leg buckle out from under him and I looked at him with a smile. "Y-You shot me!" he exclaimed.

"No, it wasn't a bullet, mister. It was the power of justice. And one more big-headed move by you, and I'm shooting justice at you until you get knocked unconscious," I frowned at him. The cabby then gulped as he then limped away and I simply let him leave, the village cheering me at that and me smirking widely... that is, until I saw the cabby grab something from his belt and I saw what it was. An ACTUAL GUN! And before he even had the chance to fire it, Sans closed the distance with his powers and forced the guy into a choke-hold, the cabby gasping at that and Sans smiling.

"and consider me prince sikes's bodyguard. and this can simply be used as evidence of your attempted assassination of a royal family member... unless you want to have a bad time?" Sans asked with a deep, menacing stare to the cabby's face, him gulping and shivering at that. "Do I make myself clear?" Sans asked in his deep, menacing voice, the cabby gasping and nodding at that. "good. now get out of here. i recommend the police station, since that's where you're probably ending up anyways," Sans said, the cabby then jumping from the ground and bricking it out of town on his two feet, Sans picking up the gun with his mind and putting it into a clean baggy.

"Good work, Sans!" I smiled at him.

"and i was serious with what i said, sikes. from now on, consider me your full-time bodyguard," Sans smirked.

"I'd feel a whole lot safer with you as my bodyguard, Sans," I smirked at him as I looked at the monsters with a smile. "Now that we're finally over that hurdle, let's go ahead and enjoy this world! Who's with me?" I smiled, the crowd cheering at that. It was time to get everyone a good home and a new life on the surface.
