A/N ~ So sorry I haven't uploaded sooner! This was my first week back at school since the corona virus and its not surprising to say its strange. For some reason my school decided it was a good idea to turn the toilets into unisex ones which I don't think anyone agrees with but what can you do?I will try and upload but for those of you that don't know, in the UK you start preparing for your GCSES (important tests that you take in year 11) in year 10(the year I just started) which means I've also started all my option classes aswell. If you wanted to know, I chose History, DT, BTEC Sport and Spanish for my options alongside the mandatory English, Science and Maths.Anyway, I will try and upload more but for now, happy friday and don't forget to review! If you have any back to school corona stories then feel free to leave them in a review! ~ J
Chapter Fifteen
I wake up as Will walks in the front door, looking extremely tired.
"Hey Will, how was your shift?"
He sighs. "As good as staring at computers for 10 hours can get I guess."
"See anything interesting"
"A drunk group of girls getting a tattoo of a pencil but not really." He says chuckling quietly but its ok because Chris sleeps like the dead anyway. "How are you coping?"
I think about that question for a minute. Its been nearly 2 days since I last saw Uriah and its been awful. I'm constantly looking around for him and realising I can't. I worry somethings happened until I see him with Marlene and my heart hurts. What really kills me is the fact he hasn't come looking yet, like he's forgot me. And Four? I haven't spoken to him since yesterday and I don't know anything more than that.
"Its ok." I say simply and leave it at that. Nodding sympathetically, he yawns and heads to his room.
"See you in a bit Trissy." I wave and the door shuts.
Slowly, I move my hands in the air as i stretch, cracking my back and stand up, rolling my shoulders. I move to the little blue kitchen and start pulling various kitchen utensils out of the cupboard along with some eggs, flour, milk and bacon. I prepare the food and I see Chris poke her nose through the cracks in the door, sniffing and I laugh. Now the door opens and she creeps out, sitting at the oak table in the corner. I slide her a plate and she grins.
"Aw Trissy, you didn't have to do this." She says around a mouthful of food.
"Its ok, its a thank you for letting me stay here and because I'm a good friend." I say and she nods.
"Loves you, mwah!" She says.
"Loves you too!"
I lean my elbows on the table and shovel a mouthful of bacon into my waiting mouth and grin at her while she rolls her eyes.
"So about your date..." she starts cautiously.
I sigh, already giving up the battle. "Who, what, when, where and what do I wear and I swear to god if its a serial killer, Eric or Peter then I will burn all your clothes." I say point at her with my fork.
She squeals in excitement and claps her hands. I shake my head towards the door of the bedroom and she pulls an 'oops' face making me laugh.
"Alright so its a guy named Kyle Thompson if you need to do a background check or something like a spy."
I roll my eyes and she raises an eyebrow until I look away sheepishly.
"Alright he's 19, tall which means you can steal his hoodies - you're welcome, gorgeous brown curls and brown eyes. Oh, he had a little sister who's around 6 that hes really protective of but the only problem, is he is known as a bit of a playboy but he seemed really genuine." She tells me and I nod.
I'm not sure how I feel about the playboy title. I don't want my heart toyed around with but if he seems like he really wants a chance then I'm not one to judge.
"He's going to meet you here at seven and you're going to that new restaurant in the pit. It looks really nice actually by the way and I have your outfit in there." She say pointing to the freestanding wardrobe.
"Alright." I nod again and smile, its been four months and I think I should try again even if I only get as far as the friend zone
The clock hits seven and I shuffle awkwardly in these heels. To give her credit, they aren't that big and definitely not as big as the ones she wears everyday but it still doesn't stop me crying out to her. "WHY DID I WEAR STILETTOS?"
"OXYGEN - OH MY GOD!" She gasps dramatically and I laugh. There's a Mamma Mia quote for everything.
"Lookin' good Trissy!" Will points finger guns from the settee which I return.
"Yeah, yeah I don't know how I do it!" Chris laughs and I punch her lightly.
I'm in a knee high dress, not too revealing so I still feel comfortable and my hair is in curls again.
"Shut up." I laugh nervously and jump when there's a knock on the door.
"Its going to be fine." She says reassuringly and I push on the door handle with a deep breath.
"Hey...Oh wow."
