Not my characters. I make zero dollars from this. Definitely AU! Just plugging our favorite characters into my original story.

WARNING! Some things will be alluded to and not described in excessive detail. I'm not a doctor or any medical professional. Which means there will be some creativity with the scenario to fit my goal. If something is a trigger for you. I apologize, this story will reference abuse, rape and domestic violence. There is a great deal of drawing your own conclusions on those fronts.

Thank you for all the reviews! People have asked about various other characters and I promise they are coming. It is a slightly weird build up. (my mind is a crazy place.) I promise y'all we are going to burn the burg to the ground. Give it sometime. We have to torture the residents first.

Ask and you shall receive y'all!

Hector POV

While I waited for Frank and Joe to finish their meeting, there were GPS trackers on both the Buick and 10 passenger van that the woman who sucks on a lemon lugs her kids in. Even that pendejo's patrol car got one. We have a client across the street from their house and added an extra camera that films their front door from his porch.

Frank and Joe are surprisingly inviting me to join them for dinner at Joaquin's place in Newark. I haven't been there in a while and will never turn down dinner. As we make our way out of Trenton, Frank is blankly staring out the window. His best friend is looking at him with concern.

"Hey Frank, you okay?" Joe asked

In the rearview mirror, I watched him shake his head.

"Yeah, Just remembering Steph in the hospital that day. How tiny she looked in that bed and how hard she cried."

"Poor girl, Do you remember watching the police drag Helen off in handcuffs when she showed up pretending to be concerned?" Joe chuckled at that.

Frank dropped his head to his hands, "I still don't know how I missed all the signs. You heard Edna? Obviously, when she broke her arm it wasn't an accident."

I growled, "Sir, if you would let me I can look into it."

I could feel their eyes on me as I drove.

"Could you do that?" Joe inquired.

"Yes, I am really good with computers. If the information exists, I will find it."

"Please, if there is time could you look into something else, too?" Frank questioned.

"Of course, Ranger gave me permission to do whatever is needed to protect your daughter."

"That night in the hospital a rape kit was done, however days later they told us it was contaminated. Her rapist never went to jail and my other daughter just keeps having more kids with him."

As we pulled into a spot in front of the restaurant, placing the vehicle in park, I turned around to face them.

"I will handle it. You have my word. Now, If I am not mistaken the boss' car just pulled into the lot. Which means dinner with your daughter most likely."

Frank moved a lot faster than someone his age normally would.

By the time I had exited the vehicle and walked around it, Ranger was shaking hands with both men as Stephanie kissed both their cheeks. You could tell the moment she noticed me and smiled. Watching closely as she stepped away from them towards me.

"Hi, I'm Stephanie but you can call me Steph." She held out her hand to me.

"I'm Hector, nice to meet you." I grasped her hand in mine.

"Daddy says you are joining us for dinner, have you been here before? Every time I sneak into Newark this is my favorite stop." Suddenly, she slipped her arm through mine and was leading me to the door. Glancing over my shoulder Ranger, Frank and Joe were following and chuckling at my predicament.

Elena Manoso POV (Ranger's Mom)

This morning, my Mercedes was picked up by a member of Rangman informing me the lease was up. Carlos never signs a short term lease but perhaps he listened when I demanded the newer model.

The phone starts to ring as I approach the kitchen, "Hello?"

"Mama, Carlos took back my car and I have a 30 day notice to vacate the condo. What am I going to do?" my youngest Maria wailed.

"Wait, Rangeman picked up my car too. No! We've put up with him and his behavior all his life. He owes us. Don't worry Maria. I'll make him fix this and buy you something to apologize."

I heard sniffling, "Thanks Mama, Now with that scar down his cheek we will never be able to marry him off to a good Cuban girl. Why did he have to hurt his face?"

"Don't worry. I'll handle it."

I hung up with her wondering how to deal with that ungrateful child. Maybe I should call Julio in Miami. Find out if he knows what is going on.

Joaquin POV

I was shocked to see Miss Stephanie on the arm of one of my cousin's employees. Come to think of it she has never brought anyone other than her father or uncle in and she always asks for a table in the corner away from everyone. Yes, her scars are obvious but they pale in comparison to how genuinely nice Steph is. As I rounded the hostess podium, my cousin walked through the door as well.

"Miss Stephanie, It is so nice to see you again and look you brought company."

"Hi Joaquin, meet my new friend Hector and back there is my friend Ranger. Is that large booth in the back open?"

"I know both Hector and Ranger. Ranger is my cousin." I watched her eyes widen as Carlos stepped forward to hug me.

"That's great." right then her stomach growled and Hector took a step back.

She blushed, "Sorry, I guess all the good food in here has my stomach ready for my favorite."

Slipping her arm through mine, I grabbed the menus and led them around the main dining room to the back. We know how much she likes to avoid being seen. After helping her into a side of the booth I took their drink order. On my way back with them, I noticed how close my cousin was to her. Yes, I need to find my wife. We've always hoped Carlos would meet somebody.
