Summary: Hermione Granger moves to Forks, Washington, a small town in America. She wants to move on months after the Battle of Hogwarts ended. Hermione finds a place to live, near her second cousin once removed, Bella Swan. However, Hermione realizes that Forks is not an ordinary town. After prom, Jacob eyed the Cullens warily. He knew the truth now—it wasn't a legend.
He then drove Bella back to her house. When she opened the door of the passenger seat, Jacob restrained her hand. He placed a card in her hands. Bella looked at it curiously before slowly opening it. Pop-up flowers sprung into life. Little yellow flowers littered the page, lavender hyacinths shot upright. In the middle there was a large pink rose. It was all so realistic, and it was as if the flowers were hand-picked from a meadow. On the bottom it read in a calligraphy script, "Bella, Will you go out with me?"
"Yes." Bella whispered. "Did you make this yourself? Its so beautiful." Beautiful didn't even describe it.
Jacob nodded shyly. She awkwardly pecked Jacob's cheek before rushing out of the car.

Their first date was the day after school was over after dinner. Jacob rang the doorbell of the Swan's house. Hermione and Luna already left for England, and only Charlie and Bella were home. "Jacob." Charlie greeted.
"Hey Charlie." Jacob smiled, "Is Bella ready?"
"One minute!" Bella yelled from upstairs.
Charlie grumbled, "I swear, if it was any other boy, I would try to scare their wits out and give them the talk." Charlie wasn't lying. He would turn into Chief Swan and be the overprotective father. But he trusted his best friend's son to treat his daughter well. He smiled slightly, "You're getting lucky tonight, Jacob." Jacob flashed a big grin.
Bella slowly and cautiously walked down the stairs. Her cast was finally taken off, but her balance needed a bit work. It didn't help that she was already a klutz. Bella wore a lilac sundress and black flats. Her hair was down, and she wore no jewelry.
Charlie already left for his television and didn't watch them leave. They link arms and went to Jacob's car. Bella asked interestedly, "Where are we going? Are you going to tell me? You know I loathe surprises."
Jacob chuckled. "I've saved you the suspense this time. We are going to first beach, where we met for the first time." His eyes darkened slightly, "At the reservation, we might run into Quil. He's a little jealous."
Bella's mood wasn't dampened at all. She wasn't afraid that Quil would sabotage their first day. "Quil is a good person at heart. No matter how jealous he may be, he wouldn't ruin his best friend's date." Jacob accepted her line of thought and spoke no more about the topic.
They promptly had a good time together. Going from friendship to dating was easier than either of them imagined. They sat on one of the large rocks and watched the heavenly purple-to-pink sunset.

Over the next three weeks, Bella and Jacob would go on dates, whether they went to a fancy restaurant in Seattle, simply spend another night at the beach, or even once—candy tasting.
By then, Jacob had already made the full turn to a werewolf. Because of his duties to the pack, they had dates less often.
Bella put her hand onto Jacob's. She then placed the back of her hand onto his forehead. "You're burning up, Jacob."
Jacob pushed her hand away and shifted away from her. He thought in his head bitterly, "Hey Bella, you do want to know why? Maybe that's because I'm a werewolf." Instead he sighed, "Don't worry about it." He tried to change the subject. "When are Hermione and her friend Luna coming back to Forks?"
Hermione and Luna would be back the day after tomorrow. Bella imagined Hermione's shocked face when she would mention their relationship. She would have bulging eyes and a dropped jaw, but then she would laugh and hug her. Bella giggled at the thought. Jacob looked her, "What are you laughing about?"
Bella grinned at his boyfriend, "How Hermione would take the news of our relationship." Jacob could imagine it too, and chuckled. Bella turned to him and said sternly, "Don't try changing the subject. I know you are hiding something. Why do you have a slight fever?"
Jacob looked at Bella closely, "I wish I could explain, but I literally can't…Have you ever had a secret you couldn't tell anyone, one that wasn't yours to share? Well, that's what it's like for me. But worse. You have no idea how tight I'm bound."
Bella looked away guiltily when she thought of the Cullens. "So, It's more than just a simple fever?" Jacob nodded.
Jacob sighed and ran a hand through his hair. "Actually, you already know the answer. Remember those scary legends I told you the first day we met?" Bella's face scrunched up in concentration and thought about the facts he told her about vampires.
"There's gotta be something that you can do." Bella pleaded.
"No, I'm in it for life."
"Well, maybe we should just get out of here for a while. Just leave, just you and me."
"You'd do that?"
"I would do it for you." She eyed him lovingly.
"It's not something that I can just ran away from, Bella. But I would run away with you if I could. I gotta go. Please try to remember. It'd be so much easier if you knew."

"What did Jacob say? Enemies of the cold ones…descended from wolves." Bella gasped, "Werewolf?"

Before she rushed off to La Push, she quickly shoved her breakfast in her mouth and jumped into her car. She ran up the doorsteps, caught herself before the fell into the dirt, and knocked on the door of Jacob's house. Jacob was the one who opened the door. "You figured in out?" He eyed her warily.
"I know that you are a werewolf." She answered honestly. "As long as you don't harm humans, nothing will change between us."
He grudgingly said, "No, we don't harm humans. We call our pack the "protectors." We keep the area safe and away from those bloodsuckers." He spat. He quickly amended, "Not the Cullens. There are plenty of others, hundreds of times worse, out there." He grimaced, "So you still want to date me, even though I'm only half-human?"
"Yes." Bella whispered without a beat.
"It's not that easy, Bella. Have you ever heard of the phrase, 'relationships aren't easy'?" He sighed. "Please give me some time."
Without waiting for a response, Jacob slammed the door shut.

A/N: A Jacob/Bella relationship for all of those people who wanted it to happen! They are currently having a fight. A major plot twist is coming up soon, but the first next thing is the Harry and Ginny wedding, which is covered in the next chapter! As I am typing this, it is getting pretty (more like super) late at night. *Yawns*
Also, I am not one for writing romance scenes. I avoid doing so whenever possible, which is most times.
I'm currently working on a different project (which I won't get to publish in a while yet), and I'm slightly lazing off a bit when I'm writing.
