A/N: Hey, guys! In the previous chapter, after a confrontation with the Star Wolf, the Star Fox successfully destroyed the Satellite Bolse orbiting around Venom. Now they have to pass the last defense area. Let's start!

(''Building the Crate- Chicken Run OST'')

Fox received a message from General Pepper. ''We managed to destroy the satellite, General.'' he said.

''Great! It's almost over now. From Area 6, you can reach Venom. Watch your back, there are Andross's most powerful troops here!'' said the General.

''We will be careful, sir. We will return to Corneria victorious. In the meantime, wait for us all.'' replied the young leader, and the message ended.

''Area 6 is not easy at all. I'm currently repairing the Arwings, and they will have to be in top physical condition from this point on, or we won't get out of it alive.'' said Slippy.

''We are not experts in mechanics, but it is true.'' said Falco.

''Do you want us to help you?'' asked Peppy.

''Sure, I really appreciate it.'' replied the frog.

Everyone started to help Slippy fix the Arwings, but since nobody was specialized in engineering or mechanics like him, they often asked him for advice on how to do it, but there were some minor injuries. In an attempt to weld spare parts with the electric soldering iron, Peppy accidentally burned his hand because he was too close. Fox climbed a ladder and lifted Slippy to help him adjust the upper parts, but fell to the ground after losing his balance, although he managed to avoid the ladder to fall on his face.

''I'm fine, guys. I just fell.'' he said, trying to reassure the others.

Finally, Falco almost hit his finger with the hammer, but Peppy helped him hold the nail in place to allow him to hammer it, and after some time, the Arwings were fixed.

''All right! It's all over!'' said Fox.

''Thanks, guys. It wasn't necessary, but I appreciate it.'' said Slippy.

''Fox said that there's no team without collaboration.'' Peppy reminded.

''I'd say we're ready to go.'' said Falco, and everyone went up to their respective Arwings.

''ROB, we will need your help. Give us support by shooting with thecannons.'' Fox said to ROB.

''Affirmative, Fox.'' replied the robot.

(''Building the Crate- Chicken Run OST-s'')

''Caiman here. No problems.'' said Caiman, a lizard with a green uniform and helmet. He was one of Andross' strongest lieutenants, second only to a commander in a red uniform and helmet. He heard shots and a couple of the Venomian fighters had been shot down. ''Do you copy? Emergency maneuvers!'' he shouted, immediately becoming nervous. Star Fox had arrived.

''Too late! You're dead meat, pal!'' taunted Falco.

(''Lorule Castle Medley- The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds OST'')

''Here we go, guys! We're in Venom's air defense zone!'' said Fox.

''Space mines ahead of us!'' exclaimed Falco, destroying nearby space mines with a Nova Bomb.

Peppy noticed strange satellite-like structures. ''What are those things?'' he asked.

''They look like satellites, but they are defense stations. They'll shoot us as soon as we get too close.'' Slippy replied.

''From this point on, fire at will and destroy everything we find!'' Fox ordered.

''Got it!'' The others replied, all starting to shoot.

Falco was almost attacked by four enemies behind him, then he found himself dealing with a very fast enemy that he couldn't hit.

''Hold still and let me shoot you!'' he snapped, but Fox defeated him for him. ''I guess you're good for something.'' he said to him.

The young fox saw enemy ships nearby, and received a message from ROB. ''The Great Fox cover you. '' said the robot, and Great Fox fired yellow lasers that destroyed enemy ships.

''INCOMING FIVE NINJIN MISSILES!'' yelled Slippy, seeing five carrot-shaped missiles.

''Ninjin Missiles?'' Falco was confused.

''The Ninjin Missiles, or Carrot Missiles,(1) are very dangerous. If they are too close to a space shuttle, they explode, and the explosion causes terrible pain to the pilot.'' replied the frog.

''Then let's shoot them down! They marked us!'' shouted Peppy.

Fox destroyed three Ninjin Missiles with a Nova Bomb before destroying the remaining ones with the help of his teammates.

''Did we get them?'' asked the commander of the Venomian Army.

''Not yet, sir!'' replied Caiman.

Peppy was attacked by small missiles. ''I think something is chasing me!'' he exclaimed.

''Peppy, accelerate!'' Fox shouted. The veteran increased his speed, and the young leader destroyed everything behind him with a Nova Bomb. ''Now there's nothing behind you anymore.'' he said.

''Thanks, Fox. Your father saved me like that too.'' said the rabbit.

Fox chuckled. ''Do I really look so much to him?'' he asked.

''Yeah! Like father, like son. You are so much like him that you look like his spitting image!'' said Peppy, and the two burst out laughing, but there was a static sound, as if someone had intruded into the Communications Channel.

''Ah, the son of James McCloud!'' said a threatening voice.

''Guys, is that what I think it is?'' asked Slippy nervously.

''There is no doubt about it. That's Andross!'' said Falco.

''Andross? THE Andross?'' the bullfrog was incredulous.

''Yes. We really have to stop him!'' said Peppy.

''HAHAHA! These tin cans are nothing compared to me! You will never be able to defeat me!'' chuckled Andross.

''We'll see about that, murderer!'' Fox exclaimed. ''Come on guys! Open fire!''

''We'll cover you from the front as we shoot down enemy fighters.'' said Peppy, shooting ahead and destroying enemy fighters and defense stations.

''Commander, they have crossed the first line!'' said Caiman to the commander.

Shortly thereafter, the Star Fox reached the second line of defense: a large series of enemy ships.

''OK, guys. Go through the enemy fleet, I'll destroy the ships.'' commanded Fox, who fired at will, assisted by ROB. He dodged the blows as if his Arwing was dancing in the air and destroyed the enemy ships one by one.

''Yes! No mercy, Fox! No mercy!'' screamed Falco, excited.

Caiman was on the verge of a panic crisis. ''They're beyond the second line!'' he yelled.

''We almost reached Venom! This is the last line of defense!'' cried Slippy.

''Watch out, Slippy! A Butterfly Fighter behind you!'' warned Peppy.

Fox defeated it with a bomb, also destroying other surrounding ships. ''Everything OK?'' he asked his friend.

''Yeah, I'm fine. I just wasn't expecting that.'' replied the frog.

The fox continued to shoot down enemy ships, while the enemy commander continued to yell at his army to fire at will and stop the Star Fox, which however suffered only a few shots that did not greatly reduce their respective shield gauges.

''Keep it up, Fox! Great job!'' cried Peppy.

Shortly thereafter, only a couple of ships were missing, which were destroyed.

''No! They've crossed the last line of defense!'' Caiman shouted hysterically.

''Damn! Let's send the final weapon, NOW!'' yelled the commander of the Venomian Army.

(''Dr. Wily Stage 1- Mega Man 2 OST-s'')

A strange sound was heard. ''Something's coming, certainly an enemy. It's strange though.'' said Slippy.

''Damn! Just now that we're a stone's throw from Venom!'' snapped Falco, as a huge disc-shaped machine appeared with a small blue core and three long metal tentacles.

(''The Other Promise- Kingdom Hearts 3 OST'')

Slippy analyzed the huge space weapon. ''It's the Gorgon, the final defense weapon! Lasers can't scratch that armor, there must be a way to damage it. I believe that hitting those tentacles can reveal the core, but even when exposed, I doubt that lasers or bombs can damage it. In addition, it can suddenly appear and disappear, which many scientists believed impossible, and it can fire the Hyper Beam, a beam so powerful that it seriously damages a planet's crust and even destroys the planet from the inside if it's exposed for too long.'' he said.

''We must destroy that thing!'' exclaimed Fox, who started shooting at enemy fighters that the Gorgon had let out, then shot at the three long tentacles and the core opened, making three golden energy balls appear around it, which Peppy destroyed. The core turned yellow.

''I got it! The weak point is the core, but it is protected by a shield, which is why we cannot damage it! Fox, if you shoot the tentacles, you will force the core to open. Then destroy the three energy balls to weaken the core's shield. When it flashes between red and yellow, it means it is vulnerable, and at that point, fire at will!'' said the rabbit, who had understood how to damage the final weapon.

The process was repeated again, and the core turned red. The Gorgon fired enemy missiles and fighters, which were destroyed by Falco, however, then prepared to fire a rainbow-colored beam.

''FOX, LOOK OUT!'' screamed Slippy.

The Gorgon fired the beam, and Fox frantically pulled the control levers to dodge it, but it followed him and hit him, making him scream in agony.

''Oh, no! Fox!'' yelled Falco, full of concern.

''FOOOOX!'' screamed Slippy, as worried as Falco.

Peppy felt an icy shiver cross his back, running all over his body and reaching his throat, to the point of making his fur stand on end. ''No, not this... not now...'' he thought desperately, hoping that the son he had never had was not dead.

Fox had survived, but his Arwing was all scorched and steaming, and it was also out of control. His shield gauge, previously at 90%, had collapsed to less than two thirds in a single attack, and was already reduced to a quarter.

The Gorgon then took the wings of his Arwing with the tentacles, while the young man tried to escape with the turbo.

''Great Scott! What was that?!'' yelled Peppy.

''A cling-on, Peppy! The engine can't take it!(2)'' replied Fox, but the final weapon, after breaking both wings of his Arwing, blocked the leader with all the tentacles, further reducing his shield gauge.

''Shit! At this rate, he will die! Those tentacles are squeezing him like snakes!'' cried Slippy. He was not the type to swear, especially because it would not be appropriate in front of his father and uncle, but the situation was extremely desperate.

''We have to do something!'' said Falco.

''What's the plan?'' Peppy asked.

Something snapped inside Slippy. His eyes had a fiery determination. ''ATTACK!'' he screamed, sprinting forward and hitting the tentacles. ''LEAVE MY FRIEND ALONE OR YOUR CARCASS WILL BE MINE!''

''Nice plan!'' Said Falco threateningly, and alongside Peppy, he started shooting the tentacles with Slippy, but all three of them were hit heavily in the process.

After several shots, Fox was free. ''Thanks, guys. Peppy told me that he and my father arrived here before Pigma's betrayal. It is time to finish what my father had started, we will succeed where he had failed!'' he said, determined, raising the morale of his companions, who cheered.

The Gorgon fired missiles, which Falco destroyed, and then prepared to fire another beam.

''I can't believe you survived this! IT'S TIME FOR YOU TO DIE!'' yelled the enemy commander.

''Dodge it, quick!'' Peppy shouted. Fox's Arwing's movements became extreme and very rapid, and the young leader managed to avoid being hit, then destroyed the energy balls, and the core flashed between red and yellow, indicating that the shield was gone. Then, while the Gorgon fired more missiles, Fox fired a Nova Bomb from above against the core.

''NO! IT'S OVER!'' screamed Caiman.

''IT'S NOT POSSIBLE!'' screamed the Venomian Army commander, and there was a huge explosion that raised a lot of smoke, destroying the Gorgon and killing the Venomian commanders, but Fox seemed to be gone.

(''The Chickens Are Revolting- Chicken Run OST-s'')

''Is it over?'' muttered Slippy, hoping that his friend had not perished.

(''Main Theme- Star Fox OST'')

There was a high-pitched sound similar to that of an airplane. Fox, alive and well in his shuttle, stood in front of his friends' Arwings, and gave them a thumbs up.

Peppy, Slippy and Falco yelled joyfully.

''YIPPEE! YOU DID IT!'' cried Slippy.

''That's our leader!'' Falco cheered.

''You're the best, Fox!'' Peppy yelled.

''Thank you guys. You all did an excellent job. I thought I was going to die when that beam hit me. But we did it. Now we just have to get rid of Andross and it's all over.'' replied the fox.

''I can't believe it! I'm proud of you, Fox, and your father would be proud too if he were alive!'' said Peppy, full of pride for Fox.

''But we can't go to Venom right now! It is already the fifth time that Fox has risked death, and our Arwings are all seriously damaged! Going there is suicide!'' cried Slippy.

''Slippy's right. We would die before we can even reach the surface.'' said Falco. ''By the way, he was the one who put the plan into action to save you when you were trapped. I have to admit it, he's better than I thought.''

Fox was a little surprised. ''Really? Thank you, Slippy. You did a great job.'' he said.

''It's true. You were awesome, Slippy.'' said Peppy.

Slippy did not expect to be praised in this way. ''Thanks guys. I couldn't leave Fox in this state, and something snapped inside me, that's what friends do, right?''

''Right. You're a good friend.'' replied the fox, and they all went back into the Great Fox.

A/N: Great! Now that Star Fox has passed the defense zones of Venom, now can enter the planet itself, not before a turn of repairs, however. Venom will be divided into two parts that are based on how you reach the planet: the first part is the arrival at Andross's base, when you reach Venom via Bolse, and then the final clash with the Star Wolf and then Andross, the last part for the real ending, obtainable only if you pass through Area 6. (1): I don't know Japanese except in a marginal way, and I have never studied it, but apart from the fact that in Japanese it is possible to put two consecutive different consonants without a vowel in the middle and that the R and L and the TH and S are inverted between Japanese and English, I know that Ninjin means ''carrot'', therefore the Ninjin Missiles, translated, would be ''Carrot Missiles''.

(2): I put a reference to the Star Wars series because it has similarities to Star Fox. Peppy is like Obi-Wan, Luke Skywalker's mentor
