A/N: I made a promise to my readers that I would warn ahead of time if the story took a dive into the darkness. This story is rated M for a reason. This story is not intended for kids. You have been warned.

"I'll see you in the morning, Please let me know if anything changes with her." Anna demanded. "You can count on it." Maren said as she watched Anna close the door. Maren walked to her side of the bed and pulled the covers back. She winced at the black and blue markings that marred the queens skin while carefully climbing in to not jostle the sleeping goddess. She leaned over and placed a soft kiss on her lover's lips. She laid her head down on the pillow and whispered "I love you sweet spirit." as she drifted off to sleep not noticing the tears that fell on her lovers face.

Elsa started coming around during the doctors exam. She quickly began to panic as the last thing she could remember was Iver pushing her under the water. She was trying to slow her rapid beating heart then the smell of familiarity began to push forward. I'm home. How? She smiled. She could hear and feel everything going on, but she couldn't get her eyes to open. My body must be exhausted. She mused. "I cannot find a spot on her body that doesn't have a bruise or contusion. The bruising on her chest and abdomen are extensive." A voice commented. He must be a doctor. The doctor was commenting about broken ribs as he pushed on them. Fuck, That hurts! She hissed. "No reaction to pain." The doctor mumbled to himself. I felt that. She grumbled as he grabbed her left arm. What are you doing? That hurts. She groaned. After placing his knee in her armpit, the doctor firmly gripped her elbow and wrist and yanked on her left arm. Stop, Oh God! The scream echoed in her mind as a loud pop cut the silence of the room. Oh, Shit that really hurts. She started to panic as he began to clean her shoulder with something that stung. He can't hear me. I'm in hell. Her sobs echoed as he began to stitch her shoulder closed. He quietly moved around to her various wounds after her shoulder was finished, each passing stitch Elsa thought she was writhing in pain, but to her frustration she remained unchanged. After what seemed like an eternity, he placed something down on the table near her bed and walked away; She could hear the door open and close.

She strained her ears as she heard Anna speaking sternly towards a man. That must be the doctor she's talking to. Elsa tried her best to focus as the doctor's warning rang in her head. "Your sister hasn't responded to pain which isn't a very good sign. We will just simply have to wait and see if she wakes up." The man gruffly said. I felt everything you did. What do you mean if I wake up? I'm awake now, dammit! She fumed. "She'll wake up. She's too tenacious not too." Maren. Elsa felt as if her heart was going to burst. She heard people shuffling back in the room. She stayed. She smiled. "She looks as if she is sleeping." Right, they don't realize I can hear them. Now what? She listened as Anna sounded heartbroken and angry that she couldn't bring Elsa's attacker to justice. You're going to freak when you find out who was actually there. Elsa muttered.

"Elsa, would be upset if I let her girlfriend get sick, Here put these on." She heard her sister say. Damn right. Wait a minute. She contemplated then immediately frowned when Anna mentioned washing the blood out. Maren's clothing was wet and bloodied. Why? She continued to listen to the exchange between Anna and Maren to find out, but her lover suggested Anna sleep on the other side of her and internally laughed at Anna's response. "I don't know if Elsa ever told you, but I am a restless sleeper. I'm afraid I'd hurt her." Anna sadly said. The memories of Anna sprawled over the bed filled Elsa's vision. Oh Anna, I would take the pain if it would make you feel better. The door opened and closed again when Anna left the room. The smell of the earthy woods overtook her and she felt warmth spread along her body. Maren must be close. Elsa's breath caught in her throat as her girlfriend's lips lightly pressed against hers and sighed. "I love you sweet spirit." Maren's voice whispered out. Elsa's heart clenched. I really don't deserve your love. She thought as the tears began to fall.

After several days nothing had changed as the ice queen was still locked away in her personal prison; The worst of it all is she had an itch that appeared on the third day that would not just go away. This is the bane of my existence. She internally groaned. I'd take a thousand more stitches if someone would just scratch my damn ear. She started her daily routine of daydreaming about itching the pest away. Elsa's ears perked as she heard her name mentioned when Anna and Maren were talking away about their funny life stories that seemed to have shifted to her misfortunes. "She actually got the line stuck four times?" Anna guffawed as her sister seethed. It's harder than it looks. "My last birthday Elsa had a cold, and just couldn't bring herself to admit it. She ended up creating an army of snowgies before she would admit defeat." Anna chuckled. I didn't make them on purpose you know. "What are snowgies?" Maren cocked her head as she asked, trying to picture them. Anna laughed. "They are tiny snowmen. You'll have to ask her to show you them if she gets better." Anna's smile instantly dropped. "When she gets better. Staying positive is important." Maren softly said. They are in so much pain because of me. Elsa could feel the moisture building in her eyes.

The door opened quietly catching Elsa's attention. "Anna, Is Elsa awake yet?" She heard Olaf ask. "I'm sorry not yet." She looked down at the sullen snowman. "Would you like to come sit with us on the bed and talk about fun memories of Elsa while we wait for her to be ready to wake up?" Maren suggested. He quietly padded over to the bed and pulled himself up scooching over to sit with Anna. "Olaf tried to help me and Elsa find our winter solstice tradition when all along it was him." Anna said as she lovingly booped Olaf's carrot nose. "That's right, Anna used to make Elsa pictures and trinkets when she was locked in her room." Olaf spouted off not noticing the grimace that laced the two women's faces. The conversation about Elsa's antics continued well throughout the day.

She was alone again as everyone went to eat dinner. Someone needs to come back in here to distract me. Elsa tried everything she could not to fall asleep. I am exhausted, but I refuse to see his face. She internally flinched as she remembered waking up her first night back screaming; she could still feel her lover shivering next to her. Well screaming in my head. She corrected herself. She sighed as she was being lulled into a slumber at the silence in the room. The world slowly disappeared and shifted back to the farmhouse. Iver was watching her struggle against her restraints. "I'm not opposed to watching you squirm around, but you aren't going to be able to pull out of those. You might as well save your strength for later." he said with a malicious grin that caused a shiver to run down her spine. The windows in her bedroom frosted over. Iver slowly walked towards her like a wolf hunting the reindeer. Elsa covered her face; she pulled her hands down and she was in the library. A younger Iver was pulling his fist back. Her head made an awful cracking sound against the desk. Colors began to swim around her as she felt herself float away.

Anna and Maren went to open the door when it didn't budge. "Ice." Anna whispered out. Maren began to shove at the door with her shoulder. "Elsa!?" Anna called out. Finally forcing the door open, They were flabbergasted as the ice queen was still motionless on the bed. Maren walked forward and cupped the winter spirit's face. "Elsa, Wake up please my sweet spirit." Maren encouraged her girlfriend as she stroked her face noting the declining temperature in the room. Elsa was running at a speed that caused her lungs to burn. She hunched over trying to catch her breath when her eyebrows furrowed as she looked around. When did I get here? She thought to herself as she looked around at the Enchanted Forest. She walked forward when she heard a cracking sound made her jump. That sounds so familiar. She turned towards the noise and watched as her girlfriend crumpled to the ground. She screamed, "Maren!" She ran forward pulling the reindeer herder into her arms and gasped at the cross bolt sticking out of her chest. "No baby, Please wake up." She pleaded as she watched her girlfriends warm chocolate eyes dull. Maren pulled her hand back with a hiss as Elsa skin became frigid. "I don't understand?" Maren looked towards Anna as she cradled her hand; her eyes widened at the sight behind the redheaded queen. A thick layer of ice began climbing down the walls at an alarmingly fast rate. "Anna, watch out!" Maren pushed her aside falling on the floor as an icicle protruded from the wall.

They sat and looked on in horror as Elsa's magic swirled around the room. "What is…" Anna's question was stopped as Elsa's magic swirled into pictures. "I will be King of Arendelle. Your life belongs to me!" A man yelled as he climbed on top of Elsa. Maren looked over at her girlfriend in disbelief. Tears were streaming down Elsa's relaxed face. "Anna, Look she's crying." Maren said as she crawled forward, careful of the pointed ice that now stuck out in many directions. Anna felt like she was going to be sick. Was she raped? Anna thought in disbelief. The picture shifted to the same man beating Elsa as she screamed in unbridled agony. "I can't…" Anna was in tears as she tried to crawl towards her sister. Maren made it to the bed as the picture spun again this time into the same man but in between her lover's legs, smiling as he leaned down to taste what belonged to her. Elsa. Maren choked back the bile in her throat. Elsa's magic began to whirl with great force around the room causing Anna and Maren to both shield their eyes. "We have to move." Anna yelled to Maren as she pulled on her shoulder. They both scrambled back towards the opposite wall as the ice queens magic started twirling at an alarming rate. It shot down towards the prone figure on the bed. Maren and Anna covered their ears as Elsa screamed in agony when her magic slammed back into her body.
