Chapter 16 graduation
A couple days later, the Enchantress, the cat spirits, and the guardians, who were now recovered from the poisoning, were at the palace. The apprentices were lined up on the balcony of the courtyard while the Enchantress and the guardians hovered above them. The cats were stood on the balcony watching.
"Apprentices," announced the Enchantress. "Today you go back to your homes. But you don't return as the same fairies you once were. Together you've gained strength and because of that you will always be part of one another."
"The Enchantress is right," jumped in Bluestar. "You have all proved yourselves worthy, just as when an apprentice becomes a warrior."
"Thank you Bluestar," said the Enchantress. "I am honored to know you all and all you cats" she added looking at Firestar and his clanmates.
"I thank you all and Fairytopia thanks you all!" she declared with a wave of her hand; a magic necklace appeared in each of the apprentice's hands.
The guardians and the cats applauded.
"Congratulations," said the Enchantress. "You have all graduated quite deservedly."
"Yes," said Yellowfang. "You have all deserved this."
Bibble and Dizzle cheered and giggled.
Elina and Azura each exchanged happy looks.
While nobody was looking, a hand reached out and grabbed the pouch Bibble put his tooth in and then put it back.
Bibble, Dizzle and Leafpool noticed the pouch and looked down and then they all saw the shadow of a fairy along the crystal walls.
"Did you just see that?!" Leafpool cried to Squirrelflight.
Squirrelflight turned to face her sister.
"What?" she asked smiling.
"Bibble, Dizzle and I thought we just saw, the tooth fairy!" said Leafpool in amazement.
Squirrelflight shook her head.
"No, I missed it" she said.
"Let's go tell Elina!" said Leafpool gingerly.
The guardians, the apprentices and the cats were all talking saying goodbye.
"I'm really gonna miss you" said Glee hugging Elina.
"I'm gonna miss you too" said Elina softly with a smile.
"Don't worry," said Hollyleaf. "You're not saying goodbye forever, it's just goodbye for now."
"Hollyleaf is right," said Sandstorm. "The cats of the clans in our forest are allowed to have friends from other clans.
"Yeah," said Brambleclaw. "My sister Tawnypelt lives in Shadowclan, but we still get to see each other at gatherings."
Just then Bibble, Dizzle, Squirrelflight and Leafpool flew over excitedly.
"Guess what!" cried Squirrelflight. "The tooth fairy came and took Bibble's tooth!"
Bibble reached into the pouch and pulled out a cupcake.
"Aww, the tooth fairy left you a gift!" cried Elina.
Bibble was about to eat it, but then looked at Dizzle and then broke the cupcake in half.
But just at Dizzle bit into the cupcake she noticed it was hard to eat.
"Dizzle can you open your mouth?" asked Leafpool.
Dizzle did and they noticed something.
"Dizzle!" cried Glee. "You have a lose tooth!"
Bibble and Dizzle cheered and danced around singing in their own language.
The two fairies and the cats laughed at this cute scene and Glee walked over to the puffballs.
Sunburst walked over to them.
"Elina…" said Sunburst trying to find words. "I… how did you and Squirrelflight know it was Laverna and Hawkfrost doing the flight and not me and Brambleclaw?" she asked.
"Yeah" agreed Brambleclaw.
"I had suspicious feeling when Hawkfrost sounded like he was praising your father" retorted Squirrelflight.
"Easy," retorted Elina. "Laverna was nice to me."
The two fairies laughed and hugged.
Brambleclaw and Squirrelflight hugged too. While they hugged Squirrelflight noticed Ivypool and Shimmer talking to each other with happy faces, clearly apologizing for all the mean things they had been saying.
Elina and Sunburst separated.
"Bye Elina," said Sunburst in a friendly voice. "Bye cats."
Firestar and Sandstorm joined Bluestar, Yellowfang and Spottedleaf.
"I'd like to thank you for helping Elina and the other apprentices learn the flight and for helping us defeat Laverna, Tigerstar and Hawkfrost" said Firestar.
"It was nothing" said Spottedleaf.
"What's gonna happen to Tigerstar?" asked Firestar.
"Don't worry," retorted Yellowfang. "He's been destroyed so he's once again a spirit and back in the dark forest. He won't be bothering us again anytime soon."
"Now it's time for us to return to Starclan" said Bluestar.
Firestar and Sandstorm looked at Spottedleaf sadly.
"I wish you didn't have to go back to Starclan" he said softly with a small smile.
Sandstorm stroked her mate with her tail sympathetically.
"I know, sometimes I wish that too," she said. "But we'll see each other again soon."
Firestar and Sandstorm smiled as the three cat spirits turned into little balls of light and flew up into the sky.
The two cats went back to the others and saw Elina and Linden talking.
"Elina," said Linden. "After everything that's happened, meeting you was the best part."
"I'm really going to miss you Linden" said Elina softly.
"I'm going to miss you too" said Linden.
"Aww!" sighed Bibble and the cats.
Elina looked over to them.
"Come on Bibble," said Elina. "We should be getting home now."
Bibble sighed. The two puffballs felt sad they were gonna be parting.
He started to fly over to Elina.
But then he quickly flew back and gave Dizzle the pouch Azura gave him. Dizzle smiled and kissed him.
The cats giggled.
"We should be getting home too" said Firestar.
The other cats nodded in agreement.
"Goodbye!" said Elina as she, Bibble and the cats waved goodbye and flew off.
The apprentices, guardians and the Enchantress all waved goodbye.
"Goodbye" said Linden softly.
"If you ever think about braids," laughed Shimmer. "Come visit."
"I see amazing things in your future Elina" called Lumina in her mystic voice.
"Goodbye!" called Glee.
"See you soon my dear" called Azura.
"Goodbye Elina!" cried Faban in his usual dramatic voice with tears. "I know you look forward to seeing me again!"
"I know I don't look forward to seeing him again" retorted Ivypool to her sister with a chuckle and Dovewing chuckled too.
"Goodbye Elina!" called Firestar.
And with that he and his clanmates went through the rainbow to take them back home to the forest.
Author's note; and we're clear the end of the story, but don't worry I'll be making a crossover with Barbie Mariposa this summer.
