Chapter 21

"Important information?" Chanelle asks her face serious. "Yes. It is very important. It is about Carla's vision of Acnologia." Gray says, recovering quickly from the previous conversation. Natsu looks at Chanelle, when he sees her, stiffen. "What did you find out?" Chanelle asks.

Gray sighs and then rubs his hand over his face. "It isn't directly related to him but the information we found is just too suspect to look past it. It is way more than just coincidental." Gray explains. Natsu could feel Chanelle losing her cool.

"Spit it out Fullbuster," Chanelle demands. "Geez, I am getting there. Learn to be patient." Gray snaps. Chanelle growls at him and Gray flinches a little. Even Natsu flinched a little at the sound. Well, he was a little turned on too, but he wasn't going to admit that. Not out loud and not to himself.

"Fine, fine. Geez, calm down!" Gray says holding his hands up. Chanelle crossed her arms and glared at him. "We found out that a dark guild was trying to build an R-system. And we all know what that does. We aren't one hundred percent sure if they are actually or if they will resurrect Acnologia."

"Fuck!" Chanelle exclaims. She turns around and starts pacing. "Fuck, fuck, fuck." She kept on mumbling under her breath. Natsu watched her with a frown on his face. Then his eyes widen. "Fuck." Natsu says.

"Will someone please fill me in as to why we are saying fuck!" Gray says frustratingly. "What do you guys know?" He continues. Chanelle turned towards him and opened her mouth as if she was going to tell him, but then she growled and turned around. She continued pacing. "For fucks sakes! TELL ME!" Gray shouted. Chanelle turned around quickly and stalked towards Gray. She grabbed him by his collar and asked him "Is there any other information?" Gray shook his head. "No, we haven't-." Chanelle lets go of him and stalks away without listening to the rest.

Before she exited the clearing, she stops and says "I will be back. Don't wait up for me." Then she walks away. Natsu was looking at the place where she left with a frown on his face. "Mind telling me what the fuck is going on?" Gray says coming up next to Natsu.

Natsu glanced at him then away. "Chanelle has been following a dark guild and she knows they are up to something dangerous. She told Lucy and me that the reason she joined the guild was that she has a suspicion that the dark guild, she is investigating is targeting us. Well, actually she said she had evidence."

"Holy shit. That's why she's so freaked out. Cause this is all just adding up to one big problem." Gray says with wide eyes. "Yeah…" Natsu answers. Gray looks at his friend, he sees how Natsu is staring at the place where Chanelle left. He looks worried and there is something else there as well. "Sooo… You gonna tell me what is going on between you two?" Gray asks with a smirk.

Natsu doesn't react as he usually does. He turns to Gray with a glare and walks away. "Hey, Happy! Next time tell me who it really is." Natsu says when he passed Happy. He continued towards the riverside. When Natsu got to the river he sat on the riverbed.

He sat there thinking about Chanelle. He wouldn't be surprised if she went out for a fly. Natsu wished he could do that cause he really needed something to clear his head. A run could work but he didn't want to go too far. Natsu decided to just sit by the river. His mind was replaying what happened earlier in the river.

Chanelle tasted so fucking delicious and feeling her soft, naked flesh against his was amazing. He felt sparks of pleasure dance all over his body. He was losing himself in her. Natsu didn't understand why they need to claim her was so strong, he felt his canines sharpen and lengthen as if to bite her. But he doesn't understand why.

He remembers Igneel telling him that dragons had mates, but that Natsu did not have to worry about it since he didn't have actual dragon blood running through him. So why did he feel so wild and animalistic when he touched Chanelle?

Natsu looks at the water. He was starting to feel all hot again. Perhaps a swim in the river will help him. Natsu opted to just keep his clothes on since he didn't want something like what happened with Chanelle to happen again. He got into the water and sank his head under. He stayed there for a few seconds before coming up.

When he came up, he didn't realize that someone was watching him. In a tree on the riverbed, Chanelle was sitting watching him. She only just got there. She was flying around for a while before seeing him there. She could see something was bothering him and she knew what it was. It was what happened in the river earlier.

It was bothering Chanelle as well because she doesn't know how she could have lost control so quickly. That's a lie, she knows exactly why she lost control so quickly. Natsu is her mate. There is no getting past that. He doesn't know that though, and he will not be able to work it out since dragon slayers like Natsu do not have mates.

Dragons do though and that is what she is. She is half dragon, half-god…
