WAYNE MANOR-NOV 28- 08.00 P.M
"Bruce,Diana you look good." Vicki said as she approached the couple with a recorder in her hand.
"Thanks Vicki." Bruce said with a smile. It was time to play young rich boy.
"So how are the things with Gotham's favorite couple?" Vicki asked. Rich and famous community were here tonight for Wayne Humanitarian Of The Year award.
"Perfect. I mean in words of course. It's beyond perfect." Diana said.
"So Bruce since you came back to Gotham Diana is the girl you have dated more than a week." Vicki said. "It has been 6 months."
"She's the one Vicki." Bruce said and squeezed Diana's hand.
"But you are seventeen. Isn't soon to tell that she is the one?" Vicki asked.
Diana was getting annoyed by her questions. "When you found the real love you'll know Vicki." She said.
Vicki got the message. "Well I'll be around." She said and walked away.
Bruce turned to her. "Damn Di chill." He said sarcastically.
"She was gettin annoying. You were serious when you said I was the one?" She said.
"I never make joke about this stuff princess." Bruce said.
Diana smiled. "Of course you don't." She said.
"I mean they are just gonna give an award. Why this is taking so long?" Bruce said. We all know he don't like this.
"Be patience Master Bruce." Alfred said as he approached them with a plate in his hand.
"Patience? Bruce?" Diana laughed. "They don't even go in the same sentence."
"You should talk princess." Bruce said. "Remember the stakeout three days ago?"
"We waited four hours just for a common thief." Diana said.
"Which gave us the location of weapon stash of Penguin." Bruce said.
"Well they are starting." Alfred said as he pointed at the lady about the talk to audience.
"Welcome everyone. Tonight we are here honour the humanitarian of the year." Lady said. "Let's look at candidates. Ferris Boyle from GothCorp, Lex Luthor from LexCorp but unfortunately Mr.Luthor didn't make it here tonight so his assistant Nancy is here. And last candidate is Bruce Wayne from WayneTech."
"I'm okay with everyone except Luthor. That bald head is full of evil." Bruce said.
Woman opened the envelope and read the winner. "Ferris Boyle." Everyone start clapping their hands. But room was getting cold for some reason. "Did you forget the pay your bills Bruce?" Lady said. But suddenly background exploded.
"We gotta go to cave." Bruce said whispered to Diana's ear. They were about the move but a man in a mechanic suit walked in from the hole.
"Bring me Ferris Boyle." Man said.
"Who the fuck is this now?" Bruce said.
"Doesn't matter let's go." Diana said and pulled Bruce away. They nod to Alfred. Alfred understand the message and start guide the visitors to another room.
"We can't use the clock entrance. Alfred will take the people there." Bruce said as they keep running.
"Then we have the use wine cellar. Hera it's so hard to run in these shoes." Diana said.
"You fighting crime in high heels."Bruce said.
"High heels that fits." Diana said and get rid of the shoes. Two goon appeared in front of them. They didn't waste any time and knocked out the goons immediately.
"Who was that?" Diana said. "He was blue."
"Maybe he did drugs?" Bruce said. They entered the wine cellar but there were few goons.
"This stuff looks expensive." Goon said.
"We are in the Wayne Manor idiot everything is expensive." Other goon said. Bruce and Diana jumped in the fight.
"Ahh look rich boy and his girlfriend here to stop us." Goon said.
"Who do you think you are? Batman and Wonder Woman?" Other goon said and laughed.
Duo didn't say anything. Just attacked them. They easily knocked out the goons.
"I mean yeah we are them." Bruce said.
"C'mon." Diana said as she put her hand the secret part on the wall. Bookshelf slide to left and create a entrance to cave. Device scanned Diana's hand print and open the door. They entered and door closed behind them. Alfred called. Bruce tapped his commlink.
"Master Bruce visitors are safe but Mr.Freeze and his goons stealing some books and statues." Alfred said.
"Mr.Freeze?" Bruce said.
"Yes sir. I heard goons calling him that." Alfred said.
"Okay Alfred. Stay out of trouble. We'll handle this." Bruce said and ended the call. They entered the cave. Bruce immediately pushed the button and suit chamber came out from ground with Batman and Wonder Woman suit in it. "Let's suit up." He said.
After couple minutes later they were in their suits. Batman activated his voice changer.
"Now that's what I like." Diana said.
"Let's go." Batman said and run back to place they came from.
They entered the Manor and rush back to library.
"I hope Ferris is safe." Diana said
"Guy looked like equipped very well." Batman said.
They entered the library with a rush. They didn't have much time. Freeze was holding Boyle by his neck and talking to him.
"Let him go." Batman said.
Freeze turned to duo. "This has nothing do with you two. Leave us be." He said.
"Sorry pal you crashed the wrong party." Wonder Woman said.
"Then you will suffer." Freeze said and fired his freeze Ray to duo's legs.
"Okay I wasn't expecting this at all." Batman said and tried to get out of the ice. Mr.Freeze took Boyle and left the room. Diana punched the ice and set herself free. Then she punched Batman's ice.
"Thanks." He said.
"He's gone." Wonder Woman said. Disappointed because Freeze escaped.
"Not for long." Batman said and pointed at the guy laying on the floor. He was half froze. Batman crouched next to him.
"Talk or I will add more to your pain." Batman said. Since they became public,criminals were more afraid of them because they knew that they are real.
"What do you wanna know?" Goon said with worry in his voice.
"How about whereabouts of that tin man." Wonder Woman said.
"I don't know. He just told us that we are gonna kidnap Ferris Boyle." Goon said.
Batman hold his arm and pressed on it with his hand. "Are you sure?"
Goon screamed. "Okay Okay. He told us he will be going to GothCorp for payback."
"See it's not that hard." Diana said and knocked out the goon. She turned to Batman. "GothCorp? What's up with that place?"
"We're about the find out." Batman said.
GOTHCORP-NOV 29-00.10 A.M
"Why did we wait hours to make a move?" Wonder Woman asked. They were watching the building from rooftop across it.
"What's the matter princess? Are you cold?" Batman asked.
"You should be a comedian Bruce." Wonder Woman said.
"I just wanted to see what he is planning." Batman said as he put the binocular back to his belt.
"So did you figure it out?" She asked.
"Not sure. Let's get inside." Batman said and fired his grapple gun. He swung towards to building and landed in the front of it. Diana immediately followed him. The door was open. They peaked inside and no one was there so they get in. Everywhere was frozen.
"They changed the decoration. Cool." Wonder Woman said. Even guards were frozen.
"Punch the ice and let them out." Batman said.
Diana approached to two guards and set them free carefully. She helped them to get up. "You guys are okay?"
"Th..anks Wond. .er Wo..man" Guard said. He can't talk properly because of the cold.
"I assume Freeze did this." Batman said.
"Whoo?" Guard asked.
"Big guy in a mechanic suit and carries a giant gun." Wonder Woman said.
"Ohh yess it was hi...m" Other guard said.
"Okay stay here. We'll deal with him." Batman said and walked away.
They entered to main generator room. It was the only way to labs. Room was filled with armed goons. Five men. It's gonna be easy.
Batman just made a head move and Diana get the idea. She flew up and Batman grappled to a vantage point. Time to work from shadows. Two goons were standing together. Batman silently glide behind them and landed. He knocked them out with a single move. Two down three to go. Wonder Woman landed behind one man and silently took him down. Batman taught her how to do a silent takedown and she was pretty good at it. Remaining three was standing together but it can't save them. Batman didn't say anything to Diana because he knew she know what to do. Batman jumped on middle of them and took down two goons with a slide kick. Other one was about the shoot but Diana threw her tiara and took him down.
"Cool move." Batman said.
Diana smiled. "Not all of us have batarangs." She said as she put her tiara back.
"I can give you some if you want." Batman offered.
"Nah thanks." Diana said.
"Now to the labs." Batman said as he finished tie up the goons.
"I hope we will find something usefull." Wonder Woman said as they walk towards to door that will led them to labs.
"We will. We need to find out why Freeze attacking to Ferris." Batman said.
"Maybe because he's rich." Wonder Woman said.
"He was in a party full of rich people. He could've rob anyone." Batman said. He tried to open the door but it was locked and lock was digital.
"Great no key. Stand back I will break it." Wonder Woman said. She was about the punch the door but Batman stopped her.
"Wait princess. If you break it,it could trigger an alarm. We need to be silent." Batman said.
"How are we gonna get in then?" She asked.
"With this." Batman said as he pulled out a device from his belt.
"You pulled it out so proudly but I don't know what is that." Diana said.
Batman crouched and start hacking the door. "It's a remote hacking device."
"How many things do you have in that belt?" Wonder Woman asked. He always managed to amaze her. Another reason why she loves him.
"Just the usefull things." Batman said as he kept working. He was close to break the code.
"I hope next villain will be a woman who throws ice cream." Wonder Woman said.
"If we were in kindergarten then it would've been possible." Batman said.
"Can't I make jokes?" Diana said.
"Sorry I was focusing to this. I didn't realize it was a joke." Batman said.
"You getting more brooding as you got older." Diana said.
"You talking like it has been ten years." Batman said as he crypted the code.
"When it does I'll be like "Told you"." Diana said.
Batman opened the door. "Never use your slogan as password." He said. They entered the labs but one lab was closed. It was a crime scene.
"Crime scene in GothCorp?" Wonder Woman said.
"Let's check it out." Batman said as they entered the abounded lab. A guard was laying on the floor. Dead.
"So murder." Wonder Woman said.
"Could be but let's not jump on the answer." Batman said. A machine was blew and frozen. Batman activated his detective mode as always and start scaning the room. While he was searching Diana was searching the other side of the lab. She noticed some devices and notes on the desk.
"There are some notes about an unique blood disease." Wonder Woman said.
"Any idea who wrote them?" Batman asked as he study the machine. Diana looked for a sign or a name and she found one.
"Victor Fries." She said. "As in Mister Freeze."
"I figured it out." Batman said. "That's what happened."
"Freeze was working on some cure for that disease. Don't know for who though. It can't be him because he would be dead by now. Ferris didn't like it apparently and he send a guard to subdue him or he came himself with the guard. But while they were fighting Victor hit the machine and it exploded. It released a cryogenic wave. It affected Victor and the guard. When guard tried to get out because of the temperature of the other room he died. Victor knew he couldn't survive if he got out. So he made a mechanized suit. He kidnapped Ferris so he could finish his work and find the cure. But there's a gun material in air. We need to find the gun." Batman explained.
"Maybe it was the guard's" Wonder Woman said. But she was amazed by the story.
"No,guard was using a teaser." Batman said. He started the search room again as Diana turned her attention to papers in her hand.
She kept reading them and find out very important detail.
"Batman check this out. According to this paper. Ferris made a deal with Victor about the cure. Victor was gonna make cryogenic weapons,in the return Ferris was gonna find a cure. Cure was for her wife. Nora Fries." Wonder Woman said.
"Good Job princess and I found the gun. It was used by Ferris. First he was making weapons and now he attacked to a poor guy who tried to cure his wife. He's going to jail." Batman said as he tapped his gauntlet and send the files to Gordon.
"But we have to stop Freeze too." Wonder Woman said. She was sad for him now.
"Unfortunately yes. That also explains the tire marks on the floor. Victor frozed his wife so he could find the cure while she was sleeping. He put her in a cryogenic chamber." Batman said. "Another reason why Ferris wanted it as weapon because it was impressive."
"And we gave him an award." Wonder Woman said with anger. She wondered if evil will be gone one day. Probably not.
"Let's take it back. Ferris probably keeping the cure researchs and Nora here. Freeze want his wife and his work back. Can't say I blame him but he broke the law." Batman said as they left the lab.
"We are gonna do something about it right?" Wonder Woman asked. She knew Bruce wouldn't let Nora die.
"Of course. I will have Wayne Enterprises working on a cure." Batman said.
"And you don't like it when people calls you hero." Diana said with a grin. This boy is the greatest hero she ever saw.
"Hero is not what I am. I'm just a guy who wants to do the right thing. I'm just doing it in a strange way." Batman said. Hero was something bigger and meaningful than him. He was just a vigilante helping people with his money.
"Keep believing that." Diana said. She wondered when he will learn that he is as good as her or Clark or Hawkgirl.
They entered the main power room. Whole building was working from here. Freeze was standing there and talking to Ferris. Duo hid and start listen to them.
"Give back my wife." Freeze said.
"Never. I will watch both of you die." Ferris said. Definitely not a wise choice.
Freeze hit him hard and broke his nose. "You will go to jail Victor. You kidnapped me and assault me." He yelled.
"Maybe you two can share a cell." Batman said as the duo made their enterance.
"What are you talking about?" Ferris asked in worry.
"We know what you did to him and his wife. You are going to jail as well. Wonder Woman said.
"Victor. He will face justice for his crimes but you committed a crime too. Surrender, I don't wanna fight." Batman said.
"Sorry Batman. I'll take my wife back and cure her. I can't let you stop me." Freeze said as he fired his gun at Batman. Wonder Woman immediately pushed him out the way but it caused her to get froze. Batman quickly got up.
"You are fighting for your wife but you are hurting other people's love ones. Now surrender or I will take you down." Batman said. He was angry. No matter how sad he was for Victor,no one can touch Diana.
"Empty threats to a man who lost his all emotions." Freeze said and attacked to Batman. Batman rolled and dodged his powerful punch. He can't fight with him hand to hand. He wished Diana was available. Also he must be quick for her too. She was frozen completely. Batman threw batarangs at him but didn't effect much. Freeze fired his gun but Batman was too quick. He was dodging the ice very easily.
"Impressive for a regular human." Freeze said. He heard stories about how good he is. Now he know they are true.
"I'm not just a regular human." Batman said as he activated his electric gauntlets. He attacked Freeze. He punched him in the face. Electric made damage. Glass on the helmet was broken. Batman kept punching. When he saw Diana he stopped punching. He remembered Freeze did all of this for his wife. Like he punched him to death for her but she wouldn't want this.
"Why did you stop?" He asked hardly. His face was bleeding.
"I still have some of my emotions." Batman said. Freeze was down. Batman picked his gun and reverse it. He got Diana out of ice. He immediately ran to her.
"Let's no..t do th...at aga. .in" She said.
"Stay still. I have one more thing to do." Batman said softly. He got up and walked towards to Ferris. He untied him.
"Thanks for saving me. Now about the police thing. Name your prize and it's yours." Ferris said. It made Batman more angry. He picked him up and knocked him out.
"Take a seat humanitarian." Batman said.
ARKHAM ASYLUM-NOV 29-10.00 P.M
Freeze was looking outside from his window. The cell was cold. Maybe colder than the weather outside. Door opened and someone walked in.
"I don't want any visitors." Freeze said.
"I'm not just any visitors Victor."
Freeze turned and Batman was standing there.
"What do you want Batman? Wasn't taking my wife away enough?" He asked angrily.
"I didn't took your wife away. In fact I'm here to say that your wife will get help." Batman said.
"What do you mean?" Freeze asked. Maybe Batman could help her.
"Wonder Woman is friend with Bruce Wayne. We asked him if he want to help. He said that he will help gladly. His company working on a cure. I can't guarantee that she will be cured but at least they will try." Batman said softl. He know what feels like to lost someone you love and he can't let Victor have that destiny. Freeze turned to window. He was crying. He thought his emotions were gone but he was crying.
"I can't thank enough Batman." He said.
"Don't."
"But..." When Freeze turned Batman was gone and door was closed. He could be in Asylum but he will sleep easy knowing his wife is safe. He turned his attention to outside.
"We will be together my love."
