A/N I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. It's a shorter one, so I apologise, but I didn't have a lot to write. MINOR SPOILERS FOR SEASON 7 EPISODE 2.
Wednesday's episode! Oh my goodness. I loved how Hope didn't like Echo at all because Octavia raised her. And Octavia is such a good person. Wow. Like she didn't go back to her innocent season 1 self; she was still a bad ass, but I how she interacted with Hope with innocence and love. That joined the list of my favourite episodes including Nevermind (6x07), Die All Die Merrily (4x10), Ye Who Enter Here (3x03) [Because of all the Clexa] and Watch the Thrones (3x04) [Also because of all the Clexa].
This was it. Monty had gotten the acid fog down, and now, it was time to wage war. You jog outside of the tent and you watch as Lexa barks orders to a group of Trikru warriors.
"Hi," you greet. "Just remember, wedding in a week, so be back before. Got it?"
"Got it."
"I love you Lexa. Win this war."
"I love you too Clarke. And I will. I promise."
"Good," you say.
"Listen up!" Lexa yells to everyone there. "While I am at war, Clarke kom Skaikru will be Heda in my absence. Listen to her, or face the consequences when I get back."
"Sha Heda," comes the collective response.
Lexa motions for them to continue with whatever they were doing before, and pulls you back into the tent. "One last private goodbye," she says.
You nod, before leaning in to capture her lips in a heated kiss. After a long time, but not nearly long enough, Lexa pulls away.
"Clarke, I have to go now."
"Yes you do," you agree before pulling her in once more for a heated kiss. This one last twice as long, but when she pulled away you were just left wanting more.
"Clarke," she whines.
"Leave whenever you want." Your lips are together for a third time, and this time you are forced to break it up when you hear Indra call Lexa from outside the tent.
"Can I kill your general?"
"After the war babe. I love you."
"I love you too."
You make your way into Arkadia, watching as gunners file out, following Kane and Bellamy. You walk up to Raven, watching as she gives very specific instructions to a group of gunners, including Harper. You lean on a crate of what is probably very explosive substances. You watch as Raven demonstrates for what is probably the millionth time that day, not to mention how many times she's gone over it for the month.
"Alright Raven, they get it. Now let them go, or else we will have no one to use your inventions."
You watch as they all file out, shooting you thankful gazes. The only one that remains is Harper. She hugs Raven, the two of them sharing a small chat, before she leaves, giving you a hug on your way out.
"I don't understand Clarke. I don't have a stupid limp, why can't I go out there?"
"Because we need you to quarterback this mission." She looks at you puzzled, before you remember that not everyone had access to view the old sporting games. "Basically, you need to call the shots from back here."
"I get it, but I don't like it."
"Don't have to."
"I find your head is getting too big now that your stupid girlfriend is the leader of twelve, soon-to-be-thirteen, clans."
"Deal with it," you joke.
She scoffs, before shooing you out of her 'workplace'.
Right after you leave, Raven gets an incoming transmission from Lexa.
"Raven, I need you to get in touch with Monty. He needs to know the plan."
You watch as Jackson and your mother make their way outside.
"Hey Jackson, can you give us a minute?" He nods, before continuing on his way outside.
"Yes Clarke?"
"Listen, I am getting married to Lexa in a week, provided all goes well now. Nothing is stopping me. I just wanted to invite you. I know we had our fair share of differences and arguments, but you're still my mother, and I want at least one of my parents there."
She nods, walking straight past you after you finish.
"She'll come around," you hear from behind you. You spin around finding Kane.
"I hope so. Anyway, shouldn't you be gone?"
"I just wanted to say bye to you guys. I already said bye to the others, so you're my last stop."
"Stay safe Kane," you say, enveloping him in a hug. "And bring my fiancée back."
"I will," he reassures. "And I'll bring hell on Cage."
"Good," you say before he walks off.
You stand, watching as the Arkers went off to battle, leaving you with the elderly, children and Raven.
A/N Review, I would love to hear your opinions and thoughts on the story.
