"Please come in." The door of the classroom opened and walking in was a teenage girl with hip-lenght long blonde hair and green eyes. She wore a white shirt, a red blazer jacket, a short black skirt, an orange neck cloth and long black boots. The girl stopped next to the teacher´s desk and turned to face the class. She smiled at them. "Hello. My name is Sonya. Nice to meet you all."
"Sonya will be visiting our school for the next few weeks. Please be nice to her." The teacher said to the class before turning to Sonya. "If you don´t have problems with sitting rather at the back of the class then please take the seat next to Rei." Sonya nodded and then walked to the back of the class and sit down at the table which was on the left side next to Rei.
"If you don´t mind, Rei, then could you please show Sonya around the school during break ?" The teacher asked and Rei nodded. The teacher then told the class to read some pages in their history books. Rei took the chance to speak a bit to Sonya.
"Hello. I´m Rei. I hope you will have a nice time while you´re here." She said and held out her hand.
"Thank you. I´m sure I will." Sonya said, smiling. She then shook Rei´s hand.

Episode 20. Treasure hunt with obstacles
Later that morning, Rei was showing Sonya around the school. Their final stop was at the cafeteria. It was large with several long white tables and red seats.
"And this is the cafeteria. It´s pretty large but never really full. The food isn´t that bad but most students just preffer the food you can get at the shopping street which is not far away from the school." Rei said.
"I understand. Thanks for showing me around. It´s not really easy when you´re new at a school. I must know it. I was at several schools since I was six years old." Sonya said with a small smile.
"No problem." Rei said before she and Sonya started to walk back to their class since the break was almost over. "So, you´ve been to several schools already ? How come you don´t stay at one ?"
"My father is a trader. We travel from city to city so I´m always staying at the school of the city we are right now. That´s why I sometimes stay at a school for a few weeks or maybe even just for a few days."Sonya explains.
"That sounds quite annoying. I don´t think I could live like this." Rei said.
Sonya chuckled a bit. "Well, at the beginning I hated it but you get used to it. It´s also a nice way to know different cultures."
The girls then reached their classroom and something got Sonya´s attention. A few students were pointing different locations on a large map of the city while others prepared some packed lunches with water bottles and snacks.
"Are you preparing for something special ?" She asked.
"Yeah, sort of. Tomorrow, our class and another class have an excursion. You could also descripe it as a little treasure hunt. We are devided into groups and given different puzzles. We are supposed to solve these puzzles together as a group and then find hidden treasures that are distributed throughout the city and outside." Rei explains.
"That sounds like fun." Sonya said but Rei only rolled her eyes. "It is fun when you put the fact away that we have to write everything down and then get a grade on it."
"Well, it is still school." Sonya said with a small laugh.
Later that day
Morgan was leaning against the wall of the school´s gate, waiting. The school bell then rung and students begun to leave the school. Morgan then saw Finn, Rei and their friends Dan and Alexis.
"Hey Morgan. This are our friends, Alexis and Dan." Finn said.
Morgan nodded. "Nice to meet you."
"The same." Both teens replied.
"We were so free to tell them about our special case." Rei said, causing Morgan to be a bit surprised.
"And you two really believe it ?" Morgan asked.
"We were a bit sceptical at first, but Finn and Rei are our friends so why shouldn´t we believe them ? And now seeing you, I don´t think there is any reason to doubt it." Dan said.
Morgan smiled. "Alright then. Welcome on board."
15 mintues later, all five were walking through San Fierro´s shopping street.
"Morgan, do you have any idea when the Fusion World might attack ?" Alexis asked.
"No, that´s the problem." Morgan said with slightly narrowed eyes. "When they attacked my world, it happened so sudden that we didn´t even had time to react probably. One moment everything was okay and in the next there was nothing but chaos. We need to warn your city but I don´t know how we should do that."
"Yeah. If we go to the police then they would just think we are crazy." Finn said.
Alexis had her fingers on her chin in a thoughful manner. Then she seem to have an idea. "How about if we just try it anonymously first ?"
The others stopped and looked at her. "What do you mean ?"
"How about we set of an anonymously newspaper article ? One with pictures of the attack on Morgan´s home and some of the informations we have." Alexis said.
"Do you really think that would work ?" Dan asked with his arms crossed.
"Well, a lot of people get influenced by news on TV or in the newspaper. It might work. There is nothing wrong with trying." Alexis said.
"And if that shouldn´t work then Morgan can just speak out to the people." Rei said with a small grin.
"So that I´ll be the only one to be declared crazy, huh ?" Morgan said with a raised eyeborw and slightly annyoed expression.
"You´re not from our world. You don´t need to worry about what our people think." Rei said and Morgan just sighed.
"Alright. Let´s first concentrate on that article. Then we can still think of another plan." Finn said.
Excited noises from a crowd around a stand then got the attention of the group. They walked over and saw it was a stand were you could buy Duel Monster cards. Rei then recognized the person standing behind the stand. "That´s Sonya."
"You know her ?" Alexis asked, looking at her friend.
"She is new in our class. She is staying in San Fierro for a few weeks. Her father is a trader that traveles from city to city, and as it looks he is a trader who sells Duel Monster cards." Rei said before she walked over to the stand as the last customer left while happily holding a few cards he just buyed.
"Hey Sonya. So this is what your father is selling." Rei said and Sonya looked up at them.
"Oh, hey Rei. You and your friends want to buy some as well ?" Sonya asked with a friendly smile.
"Maybe next time." Finn said and the others nodded in agreement.
"Hey Rei. I forgot to ask you that earlier but would you mind if I join your group for the excursion tomorrow ? Since I´m still getting to know the others in our class... well, I thought it would be better to stay with you at first. Of course only if you don´t mind." Sonya asked, a little bit shy.
Rei gave her a small smile. "I won´t mind but the groups are being drawn. But maybe we can talk something out with the teacher. We just have to wait up and see what hapenes tomorrow."
"Okay. Guess I have no other choice then." Sonya said with a slightly disappointed look. She then saw some new customers standing behind her classmates. "Sorry guys but I have to go back to work. I see you at the school."
"Yeah. Till tomorrow then." Rei said and she and the others walked away. Sonya looked after them as a smirk then appeared on her face.
Midnight at San Fierro Middle School
A black cloaked figure jumped onto the school wall and looked around. No one seemed to be around so the figure run over to the door. Taking out two small metal bars, the figure worked on the lock until it opened. The figure walked inside the schoolbuilding and then entered a classroom. Taking her hood down, the figure revealed herself as Sonya. She sat down at the desk and started the teachers laptop.
"Okay. Let´s see what we can find out about this world." She tipped away and readed through some files. Nothing really usefull. Sonya sighed before she found a file with informations for the upcoming excursion. There was a list of the groups and different treasure maps. Sonya smirked. "Alright. Let´s make this an unforgetable treasure hunt for you and the others, Rei." She tipped away until she heard footsteps approaching. She quickly shut down the laptop and put her hood back up.
A second later, the door opened and the school´s caretaker came in with a flashlight in hand. "Is there anyone here ?" He asked as he scanned through the room with his flashlight. There was nothing except an open window. The man sighed annoyed. "Those kids. Is it that much of a struggle to close a few windows before going home ?" He went over and closed the window. Once done, he looked around the room once more before leaving and closing the door behind him.
Next day at San Fierro Middle School
Two classes stood in front of the gate as their teachers gave them their tasks for the excursion. The groups were consisting of four students, and Dan, Rei, Finn and Sonya were all together as a group. This surprised them since their teacher normally puts the groups so that friends aren´t always together. However, the teens weren´t going to complain with it either.
"The excurison lasts all day. You can take as much time for the puzzles as you want, however, I await a full report from all of you tomorrow. Now I wish you all good luck and have fun." One of the teachers said and all groups departed into different ways.
Rei and her group remained standing at the gate. Dan had a backpack on which had some bottles of water in, a few snacks and a small first aid kit in case something happens.
"So, should we get going then ?" Sonya asked.
"Why not. If you don´t mind me accompanying as well." Morgan said with a smile as she walked up to them.
"Is that even okay ?" Sonya asked.
"As long as our teachers don´t find out I don´t see why not." Finn said.
"And if he does should find out then we just come up with the excuse that she is my cousin who stays with me for a few days." Rei said.
"So you´re also not from San Fierro City, Morgan ?" Sonya asked.
"No. I´m only visiting for a bit, just like you." Morgan replied with a smile.
"Okay. I guess the more the merrier." Sonya replied and Dan then took a card out of the backpack. "Let´s get started then."
Finn walked over and took a look at the card. "We have puzzles based on history. Just great." He sighed.
"It´s still better then math." Rei said and everyone agreed to that.
Dan begun to read the first clue. "Where the land meets the sea, in the rock of the master´s knee, that´s where your search will begin."
"That doesn´t sound so brilliant." Finn said.
"Well when it says ´where the land meets the see´ it obviously means a beach or somthing similar, but ´the rock of the master´s knee´ I don´t know." Dan said.
"But I know." Rei said. Moments later the group was inside the school´s library. They gathered around a table as Rei opened a book and showed them a picture of a strong build man wearing very old clothes. "The last thing we did during histoy class was reading this book. Now, look there." She pointed at the man. His right foot was up on a rock and his knee pointed to a strange looking rock in the backround which was next to a river channel. "Where his knee bends ! The large river channel. That´s where we start looking."
"Way to go, Rei. I wouldn´t have considered this." Dan sayed.
"Good thing I payed attention during history class." Rei said with a small smile and closed the book. "Let´s get going then." Sonya said.
10 minutes later the group stood near the large river channel where the two parts of the city are connected by the three large bridges.
"I think we are right here. What´s the next clue ?" Finn asked.
"At the edge of the world, amidst the raging sea, in the serpant´s mouth lies another key." Dan read out loud.
"Okay. That doesn´t make any sense now." Finn said, scratching his head.
"Well, one thing for sure, they cannot mean real serpants." Sonya said.
"Maybe we´re in the wrong place after all." Dan said.
Morgan looked at the river channel and then seem to have an idea. "Wait a minute." She took a closer look at the picture inside the book and then looked back up. It was clearly the same river only... "I have it !" She ran over to the end of one of the bridges and then looked over the railing. "Hey guys ! I found it !"
The others came over. Morgan pointed to a large rock under the bridge which resembles the rock in the backround of the picture. "It´s the same rock as on the picture. And it looks like a snake."
"Of course. At that time there were no bridges." Rei said. Morgan then climbed onto the railing and jumped down, shocking the others a tiny bit.
"Oi Morgan. Be careful." Rei said, scolding a bit. Morgan just winked at her. "Don´t worry. This is nothing compared to what I do as an Entertaiment Duelist." She then looked at the snake-like rock. "In the mouth lies the key..." There was a rolled up paper in the opening who is supposed to be the mouth. Morgan grabbed and unrolled it. "Seems like our next stop is the forest." She showed them the paper which had a picture of the forest and in the middle was written down the next clue.
20 minutes later the group was walking through the forest. "I think we should take a little break here." Dan said and the others agreed. They all sat down and Dan gave each one a bottle of water from the backpack he was carring.
"I wonder what treasure we might find." Sonya said.
"It depends on what the school was willing to pay for. One time it were tickets for the cinema, on another it was free entry for the swimming pool, and last year it were coupons for ice cream." Finn said.
"I think as long as we have fun, it doesn´t matter what it is at the end." Morgan said.
After their break, the teens continued to walk through the forest. They were pretty deep in it now. They then came to a halt as they walked out of the woods and towards a strange rock wall that blocked their way. A section of the wall appeared to be made out of blocks of all shapes and sizes.
"This must be the spot." Morgan said, looking at the map and back at the wall. "Why else would anyone build a wall in the middle of the woods ?"
"I can´t say anything to this. We´ve never been that far in this forest." Rei said, looking at Finn.
"Me neither." Dan said.
"Let´s try the next clue." Morgan said and begun to read the clue. "The world is right, when stars align. When not in sync, the danger you´ll find."
"Stars ?" Dan repeated. "I don´t really want to wait here until night."
"I don´t think it means real stars. The snake was also just a rock." Rei said.
Sonya walked to the wall and looked at all the stones that created it. "There are shapes carved into each one of this bricks." She realized, moving her hand over one of the shapes.
"Keep a look for anything that looks like a star." Morgan said as she and the others joined Sonya at the wall.
"Got one." Finn grinned as he started to pull out one of the rocks with a star on. Suddenly, the top of the wall started to crumble on top of him.
"Put it back ! Put it back !" Dan yelled. Finn quickly pushed the rock back into its slot, causing the crumbling to stop. "Phew. That was close."
Morgan looked back at the map. "Okay, it says in sync. That means there must be another star."
"Yeah. Up there !" Rei said, pointing up.
"I guess we must pull them out at the same time." Sonya said.
"Alright then." Rei said and looked at Morgan who nodded. Morgan climbed up the wall and put her right hand on the respective rock. She and Rei nodded at each other and then pulled the rocks out at the same time. The wall crumbled again and Morgan jumped down. But this time it opened up to reveal a massive cave. The teens starred in awe at what just happened.
"Is it just me or is this excursion a lot more different than what we are used to ?" Finn said with a hint of unsureness.
"That only makes this little adventure much more fun, right ? So let´s keep going." Sonya said. The others looked at each other and simply shrugged with their shoulders. The group then walked into the cave.
Using some flashlights they lighted up their way through the cave, and after a few minutes they reached a large room with several pedestals in a circle in the middle. On each one was a plate made out of different material.
"There are five and we are five. Should we take all ?" Finn asked.
"No, guys. It´s a choice. Listen up." Morgan said as she and Rei walked towards the pedestals. "Something pure and something strong. Look first to yourself and you won´t go wrong."
"Strong." Finn repeated. "That must be the one made out of iron."
"But iron is not pure. I would take the gold." Dan said.
"That would be to easy. It´s got to be something less obvious." Sonya said. "Morgan, Rei. What do you two think ?"
"I don´t know." Morgan said before looking at Rei. The Ritual girl looked at the pedestals and got an idea. "Look to yourself..." She said slowly and then stepped up to the pedestal with the reflecting plate. She carefully picked it up and waited, but nothing happened.
"Wonder if this is the treasure we were supposed to find ?" Rei said, looking up at Morgan with a confused expression. Sonya stood not to far away from them, and while watching them, a smirk appeared on her face.
*Crack !* Suddenly, there was a loud cracking sound as the ground underneath Rei and Morgan started to crack. "Rei !" Finn yelled as his girlfriend and Morgan fell into the deep hole while screaming. "Where did they go ?!"
"I don´t know but we have to get out of here !" Dan insisted as rocks and boulders started to fall from the ceiling.
"No ! We´re not leaving them !" Finn refused.
"If we don´t go know, we´ll all be trapped ! Then there won´t be anyone left to help them !" Sonya said. Finn balled his fists before giving in. The three ran back outside as fast as they could. Once outside, they all catched their breath and then looked back and saw that everything had collapsed.
Meanwhile at the far bottom of the cave
Morgan coughed a few times as she pushed herself onto a sitting position on the ground. She had a few small bruises and her face and clothes were covere in dust, but other then that she was fine. She coughed once more. "Rei... ?!" She looked around and then stood up. "Rei ! Where are you ?!"
"Over here." Came the answer. Morgan looked to the right and saw Rei limping towards her. She was also covered in dust. "Are you okay ?" Morgan asked.
"I think I sprained my left leg." Rei answered as she looked down at her leg. Morgan then noticed something. "You´re bleeding."
Rei carefully sat down and took a closer look at her left leg. There was a large cut which was bleeding hard.
"The others seem to have made it back outside. But sadly, the first aid kit is in Dan´s backpack." Morgan said as she kneeled down next to her.
"Does your flashlight still works ?" Rei asked. Morgan switched it on but it didn´t work. She shook it and it flickered for a moment and then went on. Now with the light, the wound looked even worse. "That doesn´t look good." Morgan said.
"Don´t worry. I can handle that." Rei said. She took her bottle of water out of the pocket which was in the inside of her jacket and used it to wash the wound clean. She then took of the white scarf she was wearing today and wrapped it tight around her leg. "That should do. Now, what do we do ?"
Morgan looked up to the hole they had fallen down. "There is no way we can climb up that hole. It has probably collapsed on itself anyway so we need to find another way." Morgan stood back up and moved her flashlight around. It looks like they were in some kind of tunnel with only one way to go. She looked back at Rei. "Let´s find out to where this tunnel leads."
"Hopefully to an exit." Rei replied.
At the same time outside of the cave
Meanwhile outside, Dan, Finn and Sonya were digging through the rocks in attempt to rescue Rei and Morgan. "Keep digging ! We have to find them !" Finn yelled as he dug as fast as he could.
"It´s no use. It´s to much." Sonya said.
"How could this happen ?! This is supposed to be a harmless excursion." Dan said.
"What do we do now ?" Sonya asked with faked worry. Finn couldn´t answer that. He looked back at the rubble of stones. ("Rei...") He thought. He looked at the ground and then back to Dan and Sonya. "We need to get help."
"Our phones have no network here. And back to the city it takes us two hours, even if we run." Dan said.
"How about this ? I try to find a location to get a better reception." Sonya suggested. "If that don´t works then I go back to the city and call for help. You two stay here in case Morgan and Rei manage to get out themselves."
Both boys nodded. "Agreed. Take care of yourself." Finn said. Sonya nodded and then run off.
Back in the tunnel of the cave
One hour later, Morgan and Rei were still walking through the tunnel with Morgan suporting Rei. They soon walked across a bridge before coming into a room with a pedestal in the centre and a scroll on it. The girls walked up to the pedestal and Morgan grabbed the scroll which had writing on it. "Another puzzle." Morgan said.
"Hey, maybe we will find a real treasure after all." Rei said.
("At least she sees the whole situation in a good way.") Morgan thought with a small smile. "Alright. We have nothing to lose anyway." Morgan then started to read. "In between the body and the mind, a choice must be made on what you find. At this moment, you must look to yourself as only one path will give you true wealth."
The girls looked at each other as then suddenly, the pedestal sunk into the ground, only for two more to rise up. One had a sword, and on the other was a small stone in the form of a sun. "The sword probably stands for the body, and the sun then for the mind..." Rei said slowly. Morgan looked at both pedestals with narrowed eyes. "At this moment, you must look to yourself as only one path will give you true wealth..." She repeated.
"In ancient history, warriors fought to earn themselfs wealth and glory while others used their ideas to earn both. However, we aren´t in the past so which path is meant for us ?" Rei said.
"Neither of the two, at least if you don´t look at yourself first." Morgan replied, looking at her Ritual self. "For example, for me I don´t need any wealth. For me, my friends and family stay above everything. They are what I treasure the most. As long as I have them at my side, I don´t need anything else."
"That´s quite cute." Rei smiled. "Honestly, if I look at myself, I think in a similar way." Before Morgan could say something back, the whole room started to rumble and two pillars which were on each side of the exit collapsed and so blocked the only way out.
"We´re trapped. Now what ?" Rei asked with worry as more rocks started to fall down from the ceiling. Morgan looked back at the pedestals. ("Only one path will give you true wealth... looking first at yourself... my friends and family... mean everything to me... ") She looked at Rei and back at the pedestal with the sun on. Then she noticed that a tiny stream of light shined onto it. Looking up she saw a crack in the ceiling where the sunlight shines through. "Up there ! The crack where the sunlight comes through ! That´s our exit !"
Rei looked to where Morgan was pointing. "Great. Just one question... how do we get up there ?!"
Morgan gritted her teeth troubled. That was a good question. ("Morgan. Summon me and Sakura. We will get you two out of here.") Lightning Mage said as she appeared. Morgan looked up at her. "Are you sure about that, Fate ? Rei will be able to see your powers."
("Sooner or later she will be able to see me anyway. We have no other choice, Morgan.") The Pendulum duelist bit her lip and then nodded.
It continued to rain down rocks from the ceiling as Rei looked over her shoulder. She saw Morgan activating her Duel Disk. "What are you doing ?"
"Getting us out of here. Hopefully." Morgan replied before looking at the two cards in her right hand. "You two helped me once, please help me again. Now come forth, Fate the Lighnting Pendulum Mage and Sakura The Pendulum Warrior !" She slammed both cards onto her Duel Disk and Fate appeared along with an about twenty-two year old woman with hip-lenght spiky pink hair and brown eyes. She wears a white hairband, a sleevless dark red/purple shirt, a short black skirt and a dark white scarf as a belt. She also wears sleeves in dark red but they aren´t attached to her shirt, long brown boots, and over the scarf-belt she wears another belt with a sword attached on the right side.
As both monsters appeared, they bowed to Morgan and Rei. "Morgan, is this normal ?" Rei asked, a bit surprised.
"Somehow, yes. Just trust me." Morgan replied before turning to her warriors. "I need your help to smash that crack open and get us out before we are being burried alive !" Both warriors nodded and Fate then jumped up. She slammed her sword into the ceiling, creating a large hole. However, because of that the room now begun to collapse completly in on itself.
"That´s quite amazing." Rei said.
"Be amazed later. We need to get out of here !" Morgan said before signaling Sakura to grab Rei, which the female warrior did. Fate flew back down and grabbed Morgan and both Warriors made their way towards the hole.
Back outside
Dan and Finn couldn´t just stand there and wait so they continued digging on the rubble of rocks. "It´s no use. The only thing we will reach with this is rubbing our hands sore." Dan said.
"But we cann´t just stand there and do nothing !" Finn snapped back with a hint of anger in his voice. Suddenly, the ground behind them started to shook and then fall in on itself. "Could it be.. ?" Dan said as he and Finn looked at each other. They then ran over to the spot, and when the smoke cleared, Morgan and Rei were revealed with Morgan´s warriors standing behind them. Behind the four was a large hole.
"Rei !" Finn said as he run up to her. "Hey Finn." Rei replied calmly as if nothing happened. Finn then hugged her tight.
"Finn... to tight..." Rei gasped out. He let her go but they smiled at each other. Morgan also smiled seeing this and then turned to her warriors. "Thanks, you two." Both warriors nodded and then vanished.
"What happened ? How did you to manage to get out of there ?" Dan then asked.
"Morgan´s monsters saved us. I never thought Duel Monsters could do such a thing outside of a Duel." Rei replied, turning to Morgan. Apparently she wanted to know more. Morgan rubbed her head while having an awkward smile on her face. "Well... Real Solid Vision... monsters with mass... you can do a lot with it."
"Your world has an amazing technology." Finn said.
"To be fair, my Lightning Mage and the other monsters in my deck are something special." Morgan replied with a smile.
"Alright. We should go now. Rei needs to see a doctor and we have to collect Sonya on the way back." Dan said and the other three nodded. They then made their way back to the city.
Once they were gone, Sonya stepped out from behind a tree and walked over to the hole. She had a Duel Disk on her left arm. She typed away on its touch screen and a moment later, both the hole and the rubble of rocks disappeared. It now looked like nothing ever happened here. "It still amazes me what our master´s technolodgy can do." She then looked over her shoulder towards the way the others had left. "Rei and Morgan are rather unharmed even though I made them fall quite deep. It´s just another proof that they are not normal humans."
San Fierro City, Hospital, a while later
Dan, Finn, Morgan and Sonya were sitting in the waiting area while Rei was being taken care of. After another ten minutes, the door of the doctor´s room opened and Rei walked out. She had bandages wrapped around her left leg.
"Is everything okay ?" Finn asked.
"Yeah, I´m fine. It didn´t had to be stitched but I need to be careful during the next few days." Rei replied.
"I have to go now. My father probably wonders where I am by now. I´m glad you two are okay. Maybe we can do such an excursion again some day, but then without a life-dangerous outcome." Sonya said and the others agreed with no doubt. She then left.
"So... what should we do now ? We still have two hours left before we need to be home." Dan said.
"How about a Duel against me ?" Finn suggested and then looked at Morgan. "What do you say, Morgan ? Wanna be my opponent ?"
("That could be my chance to see his Dragon...") Morgan thought and then smiled. "Sure. Why not."
"Then let´s get to the park." Rei said.
San Fierro City, Centrel Park, 10 minutes later
Finn and Morgan took their respective positions while Dan and Rei are sitting on a bench and are going to watch. "Ready ?" Finn asked and Morgan nodded.
"Duel !" Both teens shouted and their Duel begun.

"The challenger gets the first turn." Morgan said.
"Fine with me. I summon Ancient Scrap Wyvern." Finn said. A red Wyvern with yellow armour on its head and wings appeared.

"My turn !" Morgan said as she drew. "I set the Pendulum Scale with Scale 0 Guardian Snow Owl and Scale 6 Angel Magician !" A piller of light appeared on each side of Morgan´s field and two monsters rose up. Guardian Snow Owl, a large white owl with blue eyes and silver armour on its wings. Angel Magician, a girl with shoulder lenght dark pink hair and purple eyes. She wears a pink shirt, pink shorts with a black belt, long pink boots with stripes of golden armour and a black cloak with golden magical symbols on the bottom end.

"I use Angel Magician´s Pendulum effect to double her Scale until the end of this turn !"

Morgan held up her right hand. "Heavenly Warrior of incredible abilities, come to my ait and fight by my side ! Pendulum Summon ! Appear, Sakura The Pendulum Warrior !" The Pendulum portal opened and a pink beam shot out of it. The female pink haired warrior from earlier appeared.

"I set two cards face down, and now battle ! Sakura, attack Ancient Scrap Wyvern ! Celestial Slash !" The female warrior took her sword out of the sheath that was on her belt and charged forward. Her sword begun to glow pink.
"I activate my continuous Trap ! Ancient Armour ! Once per turn, when an Ancient monster I control is targeted by an attack, I can negate that attack !" Finn yelled and Sakura was blocked by a force field. Morgan grinned. "Not bad, but it won´t matter since Sakura´s effect lets her attack a second time each battle phase should she not be able to destroy the target of the first attack. Go again !" Sakura jumped back and charged again. This time the attack worked and the Wyvern was destroyed.
Finn LP 4000 (-800 ) 3200
"I end my turn. Angel Magician´s Pendulum Scale returns to normal." The golden number twelve under the female monster changed back to six.
TURN 3 Finn LP 3200 Hand 2 / Morgan LP 4000 Hand 1
"I draw !" Finn placed his drawn card to his left hand and grabbed another. "I play the Spell Ancient Reborn and bring back Ancient Scrap Wyvern." A portal opened on the ground and the Wyvern returned. ATK/1700 DEF/1100 "Now I use the effect of Ancient Crystal Wyvern from my hand. I can equip it to another monster I control and that monster then gains Crystal Wyvern´s attack points !" A small, light green Wyvern completly made out of crystal appeared. It climbed onto Scrap Wyvern´s back.

"Scrap Wyvern attacks your Pendulum Warrior !" The Wyvern fired a red energy beam from its mouth and destroyed the female warrior. Morgan shielded herself with her right arm. Morgan LP 4000 (-800 ) 3200
"I end my turn. You´re on, Morgan." Finn said.

"My turn !" Morgan looked at her drawn card. "I use Angel Magician´s Pendulum effect to double her scale and now I Pendulum Summon ! Sakura The Pendulum Warrior returns from my extra deck !" A beam of light shot onto the field and the female warrior returned.

"And from my hand comes Action-Buddy Helpprincess and Kuriboh Knight !" Morgan said and two more beams of light shot onto the field. Action-Buddy Helpprincess has purple hair bond into pigtails and wears a small golden crown and a purple dress. She holds a green staff with a white "hand" on the top. Kuriboh Knight is a brown Kuriboh which wears a small helmet and holds a small sword and shield.

Appear Ancient Magician !" A spiky white haired male wearing a blue magician cloak and holding a magic staff in its left hand appeared.

"When Ancient Magician is summoned, I can add a Ritual Spell and Monster from my deck to my hand." Finn´s deck shuffled and two cards came out. He grabbed them and showed them to Morgan.
Morgan narrowed her eyes a bit. ("If I saw right then that Ritual Monster is a dragon. In that case...") She thought and then smiled. She pointed up at her Pendulum Scale. "Guardian Snow Owl is not just a Pendulum Monster, it is also a Tuner Monster. Tuner are needed to peform a Synchro Summon."
"Are you just saying that you can use the Summon of one of th eother worlds ?" Rei asked with surprise.
"Thanks to a friend, yes I can." Morgan replied with a smile. "I now use Guardian Snow Owl´s Pendulum effect ! It can perform a Synchro Summon with one monster on my field ! Level four Action-Buddy Helpprincess tunes level four Guardian Snow Owl !" Guardian Snow Owl flew out of the pillar and turned turned into four green rings. Helpprincess then flew through the rings and turned into four white orbs. ( 4+4 = 8 )
"Spread your strong and wonderfull wings and show our opponents your never ending fighting spirit ! Synchro Summon ! Come forth ! Synchro Spirit - Sky Dragon of Reunion !" A bright white light flashed. A mighty white and blue dragon with angelic white wings and ocean blue eyes appeared, roaring. It has blue armour on its upper body and arms.

"Wow." All three Ritual teens said.
"So you also have dragons in your deck ?" Rei spoke up.
"My deck is a bit of a mix but it works good. However, he here is something different." Morgan said as she gently rubbed her dragon. "He is the signature monster of the bond between me and our Synchro self Lynn. She gave me the power to Synchro Summon and we created him together." Morgan looked back at Rei with a smile. "I´m sure you and Lynn will become good friends too." Morgan turned back to the Duel. "I activate the effect of Sky Dragon of Reunion ! Once per turn I can tribute special summoned monsters I control to then destroy that many cards you control ! I tribute Kuriboh Knight and destroy your Continuous Trap Ancient Armour !" Kuriboh Knight became energy and vanished into the dragon. It then unleashed a white energy beam which hit and destroyed the Trap card.
"Battle ! Sakura, take out Ancient Magician !" Morgan shouted. Sakura leapt forward and slashed along the magician´s body, destroying him.
Finn LP 3200 (-300 ) 2900
"Ancient Scrap Wyvern´s effect activates ! If a face-up Ancient monster on the field is destroyed by a card effect while this card is on the field, I can special summon 1 Ancient monster from my deck and destroy 1 card on the field !" A card came out of Finn´s deck and he played it. "I special summon Ancient Blizzard Wyvern and destroy your Pendulum Warrior !" A large blue Wyvern with white wings and a large white horn on its nose appeared. Its entire body is surrounded by an aura of blowing snow-wind. Pendulum Warrior then shattered.

"Alright then. Sky Dragon of Reunion, take out Ancient Scrap Wyvern !" Morgan shouted. Her dragon flew into the air and unleashed a white energy beam from its mouth. The energy beam hit and created an explosion. Finn LP 2900 (-1100 ) 1800
"I end my turn with that. Come on, Finn. Show me what you´ve got." Morgan said with a smile.

"My turn !" Finn looked at the cards in his hand. He then noticed to his surprise that his Ritual Monster card was glowing. He started to feel the urge to bring it out. Finn looked back up. "I activate the effect of Ancient Blizzard Wyvern ! I pay 300 life points and bring back Ancient Magician from my graveyard !"
Finn LP 1800 (-300) 1500
The magician returned to the field. "Now I activate the Ritual Spell, Ancient One Ritual ! I can Ritual Summon 1 Ancient Ritual Monster by tributing monsters from my hand or field whos levels equal or exceed the level of the Ritual Monster ! I tribute Ancient Magician and Ancient Blizzard Wyvern !" A large glowing blue circle appeared on the ground and it was surrounded by torches of blue fire. Both monsters turned into beams of light and flew into the circle. "From the ancient chasms of a lost world, I awaken a legendary and overhelming power ! Ritual Summon ! Come forth ! Ancient One Ritual Dragon !" Finn chanted and a large and muscular dark blue dragon with orange eyes, a long tail and two pairs of white wings appeared. It also has white armour on its arms and legs.

The dragon landed and roared before looking straight at Morgan who took a step back but couldn´t explain why. ("So that´s... his dragon...")
"When Ritual Summoned, Ancient One destroyes up to three cards on my opponent´s field and this cannot be negated ! Your dragon, one of your face-down Traps and your monster in the Pendulum Zone are destroyed !" The Ritual Dragon flew up into the air and flapped with its wings, creating a hurricane that destroyed Morgan´s cards.
"Similiar to your Pendulum Warrior, Ancient One can also attack twice per turn." Finn said with a grin and Morgan gritted her teeth. "Now Ancient One, attack directly !" The dragon roared and started to gather energy in its mouth.
"It´s not over yet ! I activate my Trap, Pendulum Rebirth ! I can special summon one face-up Pendulum monster from my graveyard or extra deck ! Return, Sky Dragon of Reunion !" A white portal opened next to Morgan and her dragon flew out of it. ATK/2800 DEF/2000
"Ancient One, stop !" Finn shouted and his dragon stopped its attack. Finn huffed and gave a small smile. "You just escaped defeat. Ancient One gains 200 ATK for each monster on your field with an original level 5 or higher." Ancient One ATK/2700 "I end my turn by setting one card face down. I´m afraid it´s your last turn now, Morgan."
TURN 6 Morgan LP 3200 Hand 0 / Finn LP 1500 Hand 2
Morgan looked at her deck and placed her hand on it. "Alright. Last draw. Let´s see what I will get. My turn, I draw !" Morgan took a card from her deck and looked at it. It was a Spell. She smiled. "You´re right, Finn. This will be the last turn. But I will end up as the winner."
"I wonder what card she drew to get herself a win this turn." Dan said.
"I dueled her only one time, but I can say for sure, Morgan is strong." Rei said.
Morgan looked once more at her Spell before playing it. "I activate the Spell, Wind Nature ! Until the end of this turn, one monster I control changes to WIND attribute and it gains 1000 ATK for each level it has !"
"1000 ATK for each level it has ?!" Finn repeated shocked.
"Sky Dragon of Reunion is level eight. That means it gains 8000 attack points. That´s a strong Spell card." Dan said. The blue parts of Sky Dragon´s body turned a light green and it roared loudly. Sky Dragon of Reunion - WIND - ATK/10.800
"Sky Dragon of Reunion, attack Ancient One Ritual Dragon !" Morgan shouted and her dragon unleashed a powerful white neergy beam.
Finn looked calm. "I activate my Trap ! Rule of the Ancient Dragon ! When an opponent´s monster declares an attack while I have at least three Ancient Monster in my graveyard, I can half the damage and we both take that damage !" Ancient One got destroyed which created a strong explosion that made both Finn and Morgan shield themselves.
Finn LP 1500-0 / Morgan LP 3200-0 / DRAW
Finn and Morgan shook hands. "You´re good." Finn said with a smile.
Morgan returned the smile. "So are you." She turned to Dan and Rei. "All of you. The Fusion World has no idea what they started."
"We should get going. It´s late." Dan said.
"I wonder how our teacher will react when we tell him about what happened today." Rei said.
"I don´t care. He´s probably not going to believe us anyway which means we will be in a whole lot of trouble." Finn said with a small groan afterwards.
A few hours later in the old-styled part of San Fierro City
"Awww. Right now I would give anything for a pillow." Morgan whined as she tried to sleep while she was sitting on a branch of a tree that was across from the homes of Finn and Rei.
("Why don´t you just ask Rei if you could stay with her ?") Fate asked as she appeared in spirit form.
"Because Rei told me that her and Finn´s forster parents are strict. I don´t want to cause them trouble."
Fate chuckled a bit. ("You really have a pure heart, Morgan.")
"I also can different, just so you know." Morgan replied with a grin. "Why do you come out this late anyway ?"
Fate´s expression turned more serious. ("I know it´s late but I need to tell you something. What happened today... I don´t think it was an accident.")
"What do you mean ?" Morgan asked.
("It wasn´t an accident. Someone put you and the others in danger on purpose. And I think it was Sonya.")
"Are you sure ? She doesn´t seem evil, and how should she be able to do such a thing ?"
Fate looked down and narrowed her eyes a bit. ("I don´t know how. And neither can I proof that she really did something.") She looked back up at Morgan. ("Since the magic seal on me is slowly wearing of more and more, I can now keep a closer eye on you. Shortly before you and Rei fell into the hole, I noticed that Sonya was smirking. It looked like she knew what was going to happen.")
"But why should she do that ?" Morgan asked.
("I don´t know, Morgan. But I ask you to be careful. Something is not right with that girl.") Fate said before she disappeared.
The next day, San Fierro Middle School
Dan, Rei and Finn were standing in front of the school and were talking to their teacher who was rubbing his head while he looked at the puzzles the teens had to solve yesterday. "I´m sorry, you three, but I don´t know how this can be. I can´t remember setting up this puzzles here, and I also don´t remember the existence of a large stone wall in the middle of the forest." The three friends could only look at each other. If their teacher didn´t set up this puzzles, then who did it ?
Morgan, who was standing nearby and listening, narrowed her eyes. She then went of to check on something.
One hour later, Morgan was back in the forest. She now was at the exact same spot where she and the others were yesterday, only to see that the clearing was completly empty. Neither the large rubble of stones from the collapsed wall, nor the hole Fate and Sakura created by escaping the cave were there anymore.
"Fate... I think you´re right. Something is not right here." Morgan said, knowing her warrior could hear her.
Shopping street of San Fierro City, later that day
Morgan was leaning against a wall inside an alley. She was watching Sonya who was working at her father´s stand. Sonya was acting completly normal. She was smiling and talking with the customers. However, the more Morgan was thinking about her, the more inconsistency were coming up. ("Just who are you really... Sonya...") Morgan thought.
Two hours later, Sonya begun to close her stand. As she was finished she started to walk down the street. Morgan followed her. After a few minutes they came across some large buildings and Sonya then stopped in front of one. She looked left and right before going inside. ("Now that is suspicious.") Morgan thought as she walked to the building. There on the door was a sign which had something written on. ( Do not enter. Renovation work. )
"Things are getting better and better here." Morgan said sarcastically. As she was about to enter, a male voice stopped her. "What are you doing here, Morgan ?"
Morgan turned around and saw Finn walking up to her. "I´m just looking around a bit. Why are you here ?"
Finn crossed his arms. "I was on my way to buy some snacks for me and Rei since we are having a movie night when I saw you following Sonya. Are you spying on her ?"
"Of course not. I was just going the same way." Morgan said. Finn´s expression showed that he didn´t believe her. Morgan sighed. "Alright, yes. I followed her. But on a good reason."
"And that reason is ?" Finn asked, raising an eyebrow.
"That what happened yesterday... was not an accident. Someone put me and Rei into danger on purpose. And I think it was Sonya."
"Do you have any proof ?" Finn asked.
"No. But that´s why I´m here. To get answers." Morgan said and then turned to enter the building. "Wait. I come with you." Finn said.
"Okay. But be careful. We don´t know what might happen." Morgan said and Finn nodded. Both then entered the building.
Meanwhile on top of the building
Sonya stood on the roof. A purple portal then appeared in front of her and a teenage girl wearing a red uniform stepped out. She has shoulder lenght black hair, red eyes and has a dark skin color. "Why did you asked me to come here ?"
"I need your help, Masumi. But before I explain, how are things at the headquarters ?" Sonya said.
"The second and third unit are ready. They are only waiting for your signal." The girl, Masumi replied. "Are you really going to use the new way of sealing humans into cards which the master´s son has created ?"
"The master wants this Invasion to be a full success. As the Commander it´s my responsibility to make sure that everything goes as planned. One of our main targets from the Standard World is here and tries to warn this world about us. Therefore I decided it would be better to do this Invasion in a different way than what we did in Standard, to keep the advantage." Sonya replied.
Unknown to them, the door which led to the roof slowly opened and Morgan and Finn looked around. They saw both girls talking with each other.
"There she is. But who is the other girl ?" Finn said. He looked up at Morgan and saw that she was shaking a bit while having a slightly shocked expression. "Morgan ?"
"That red uniform... I can´t believe it... " She whispered.
"What do you mean ?" Finn asked but Morgan then ran out and towards them. "Morgan, wait !"
"So, what do you need me for ?" Masumi asked. "I want you to-" Sonya said but got interupted by someone. "I should have known !" Both girls turned to look to the right side and saw Morgan standing there with an angry expression.
"Morgan ? What are you doing here ?" Sonya asked.
"Spare me with that ! Your friendly mask won´t work anymore ! You friend wearing that red uniform... you just expossed yourselves... Fusion Fighters !" Morgan yelled back with anger. Masumi and Sonya looked surprised before they both smirked.
"Seems like your cover is blown now." Masumi said. Sonya just shrugged with her shoulders, still smirking. "I assumed it would happen sooner or later." She then looked directly at Morgan. "I actually planned to capture you during the Invasion... but I think the sooner I put you out of the way the better. Be ready to say goodby to your freedom... Standard Angel."
