"DITCH THE SPORTS FESTIVAL"

"He's going to be fine"

Inko-san sigh in relief at the good news "He's just going to need a lot of rest since he broke most of his bone", The doctor explained. "It's a good thing Recovery Girl healed him beforehand", he said.

This... didn't happen in canon.

"However, he won't be able to join the upcoming Sports Festival", the doctor informed us.

He... he's supposed to win the first round.

Inko-san thanked the doctor and he left. She sat down beside me. There was a moment of silence before I let out a sob.

"I-It's all my fault!", I said quietly as I gripped my hair in frustration.

This isn't supposed to happen.

Izuku is supposed to participate in the Sports Festival.

I... I did this.

"I don't blame you, Aka-chan", Inko-san said softly as she rubs my back, trying her best to comfort me.

'You should! I did this! I did this shit!'

"You were just trying to help him, Aka-chan. You didn't know this would happen", she said.

'But I know what SHOULD happen and I changed it. Now he...'

I closed my eyes as I cry, Inko-san rubbing my back in comfort.

'Now he won't be able to tell that world that he's here'

"Don't you have school, Aka-chan?"

I heard my mother asked me as I stare at nothingness inside my room.

"...Aka-chan?", I turn to see my mother in the doorway, looking at me in concern. "... I'll go to school later", I replied quietly.

"Oh Aka-chan", my mother said as she heads towards me. She pulls me in her arms for a hug.

"Everything will be alright, sweetie", She cooed at me. I nodded quietly as I closed my eyes.

"I hope so, mom"

"I don't want to participate in the Sports Festival"

SILENCE~

I stare at Yamada-sensei lifeless as he looked at me in shock.

'I don't deserve to be part of it after everything that happened.'

"... Are you sure, Genji?", Yamada-sensei asked. I looked down as I nodded quietly.

"Well-"

"-You're not allowed to back out, Genji"

I turn to look at Aizawa-sensei, who has fewer bandages on his body. I gritted my teeth and said, "It's my decision-"

"It's your guilt"

I flinched as I averted my eyes. I heard him sighed, "It's not your fault, Genji", he said. "... It was my idea", I said quietly as I clench my fists.

'This isn't supposed to happen! Why can't everyone just-?!'

"-You didn't expect the backlash", Aizawa said, which I didn't respond. "You were just trying to help, Genji. There's nothing wrong with that-"

"There is when it hurt someone!", I snapped. I looked at him, tears filling my eyes. "I shouldn't have said anything! It's all my-!"

SLAP!

My eyes widen as my cheek stings from the slap Aizawa gave me.

"Have you forgotten, Genji?", I turn to face him, my hand holding my cheek from the pain. "You're human and humans have flaws", He narrows his eyes and said firmly,

"Now quit that pity act of yours and do your best at the Sports Festival"

"What the hell are you doing, Ginger?"

I stayed silent as I sat on the ground.

We're in one of the training grounds near our home, sparring for the upcoming Sports Festival.

"Oi. Get up", Katsuki ordered. I slowly began to stand up, only to fall down as Katsuki kicked me. I turn to face him, only to see him glaring at me.

I averted my gaze as I recalled what happened in the training grounds. Silence filled the air as I didn't reply.

"... Why can't you understand that it isn't your fault?", I looked at him to see him staring at me. He tch'ed at me and continues,

"It was Deku's choice. You tried to stop him after you realized the possible consequences.", he pointed out. He crossed his arms as he scowled.

"It's not your fucking fault. Don't make me say it again, idiot", he said. He turns to look away as he flushed faintly.

I blinked and I let out a small smile at his concern. I grab him and pull him for a hug.

"WHAT THE-?!"

"-Thank you, Katsuki", I said softly, making him shut up. I take a deep breath as I lay my head on his shoulder, suddenly feeling tired.

"... I know it isn't my fault. I'm pretty sure everyone told me that already", I said softly and I closed my eyes.

"It's just like what Aizawa-sensei said... I'm human. My guilt is just eating me away at the moment. Don't worry, I'll be back to normal soon"

"Aka-neesan?"

I froze at the doorway as I look at Izuku, who's sitting on his bed with Small Might beside him.

"Er... Aka-neesan?", he said awkwardly as I continue to stare at him. I began to tear up and I tackle him for a hug.

"Izuku!", I cried out. "I'm so sorry", I sobbed out. "It's all my fault. Now you can't participate in the Sports Festival because of me-"

"It's my fault, Aka-neesan", Izuku cut me off as he wraps his arms around me, returning my hug. "I heard you called out my name but I was too occupied by my thoughts", he added.

"You don't need to feel guilty, Aka-neesan", he said, pulling away from the hug. He gave a soft smile and said, "You're my hero, Aka-neesan. Remember?", he said, trying to cheer me up.

Tears began to fall from my eyes, and he places a hand on my cheek. He began to tear up, "I... I don't want you to feel guilty anymore", he confessed.

"I didn't listen so-!", I cut him off as I caress his cheek as I try my best to give him a smile. "There's no one to blame, Izu-kun", I said softly.

"I'm just glad to see you alright", I said and tears began to fall from his eyes, "Nee-san!", he sobs and I welcome him into my arms. I closed my eyes, the guilt inside my slowly fades away.

'No more changing the plot, Akasuki. No more'

"You look like shit as always, Ginger"

I deadpanned at Katsuki's attempt to say 'I'm glad your better now'.

Today's the day of the Sports Festival. Katsuki decides to tag along on the way so that I won't 'run away', he says.

'He's just being a tsundere. He's making sure I'm alright'

I let out a smile at his concern. I playfully ruffle his hair, "I'm glad you think so, Katsu-kun!", I teased. "Get the hell away from my hair, Ginger!", he scowled as he tries to push away from me.

I laugh as I move away to avoid getting hit. He tch'ed and look away. "... You better win this, you hear me?", he said, a bit aggresive.

'Well... I am fighting the Big Three for the top spot... Yeah, I don't think so'

"I'll try", I said. "There's a lot of students who will do their best since this is their last chance", I pointed out. "Izu-kun will be there", I informed him.

He raised an eyebrow, "I thought almost all of his bones are broken?", he asked. I nodded, "It only took two days to heal all of them, thanks to Recovery Girl", I told him.

"He's going to be in the wheelchair for now", I added. He snorts as he turns to face forward. "... Do you still feel guilty?", he asked, a bit quietly.

I bit my lip as I nodded, "Yeah. It's not going to go away quickly... but I'm getting there", I admitted. I gave him a grin, "I'm going to buy him a lot of ice cream after this!", I exclaimed.

He snorts at me, "Yeah, and you're going to kill him with that". I pouted at him.

"Why are you so mean to me, Katsu-kun?!"

"I'm going to give it my all!"

Nejire exclaimed while pumping her fists. "Let's give it our all!", Mirio exclaimed back while waving his arms rapidly. Tamaki and I sweatdropped at the two of them.

"I-I don't think many viewers would watch ours this year", Tamaki admitted quietly. I nodded, "Class 1-A caught a lot of attention this year, there are probably more reporters there", I added.

"What a killjoy!", Nejire pouted. "Well then, we just have to steal the spotlight!", Mirio exclaims, cheering Nejire up. "Yeah!", she cheered.

"POWERRR!"

"POWERRR!"

"... They sure are too energetic", Tamaki said as he sweatdropped. I grin as I elbow him playfully, "I'm sure you're fired up too", I teased. He blushed in reply.

I perk up as I hear some cheers, "Seems like it's our time to shine", I commented. I turn to head towards our designated entrance, "Everyone! Let's head towards the entrance!", I announced.

'Being president is tiring'

"Aka-chan!"

I turn to around to see the three of them giving me a bright smile, er well Tamaki is trying his best.

"Let's do our best~!"

"HERO COURSE, CLASS 3-A!"

That's our cue to enter the arena. The cheers of the crowd filled the arena as soon as we stepped in.

"There are fewer people this year", Nejire noted as she glances around. "Th-Th-There are so many people!", Tamaki said nervously as he moves closer to Mirio.

Mirio beams, "Yosh! Let's do our best!", he exclaimed. I chuckle, "Yeah, let's do our best", I said as I sweatdrop.

'He keeps saying that though...'

"I'm more worried for Katsu-kun", I said as I sweatdropped at I recalled what's suppose to happen.

'I hope he won't say the same thing'

"Time for the Player Pledge!"

I blinked as I saw Nezu standing on the platform, it seems like he's the chief umpire for the third years.

"Representing the students will be Genji Akasuki from Class 3-A!"

I blinked as I heard my name, paling at the thought of standing in front of the masses.

'The crowd can kill you. The crowd can kill you.'

I gulped silently as I stiffly head towards the platform. "Go Aka-chan~!", I heard Nejire cheered as I stepped on the platform.

There was a moment of silence as I stood in front of the mic. I closed my eyes as I take a deep breath to calm my nerves.

'It's just a player pledge, Akasuki. Just bring out your inner Naruto'

I opened them, my eyes burning in passion.

"We pledge", I started as I glance at the crowd in front of me, "that we will do our best. To go beyond our limits", then I gave them a grin.

"To go Plus Ultra!"

"A Team Race?"

I read out loud at the screen on what the first round would be. "I wonder what our teams will be", Mirio asked, scratching his cheek.

"All 11 classes will participate in this round!", Nezu announced. "The Race will be on the outer circumference of the stadium!", he added. "It will be about 5 kilometers!"

"The rules will be simple!", He lifts his pointer finger, "Every team will go through four different obstacles and you have to work together to overcome it! If one member goes down, the whole team goes down!"

Then he smiled at us, "A team can only have 4 members! Everyone can freely choose their teammates! You have 5 minutes, starting... now!"

The students immediately started forming their teams. I turn around to face the trio.

"I don't know about you guys", I started as I give my friends a grin,

"But I think we have this on the bag, don't you think?"

"Everyone ready?!"

I tied the bandana, that got a number 3 on it, tightly on my head. "I-I don't like this game", Tamaki said as he glances around nervously.

"There are chances the other teams will target at least one of us. After all, if one member is down the whole team is down", Mirio pointed out, making Tamaki more nervous.

"Then we watch one another", I said. "Do you have a plan, Aka-chan?", Nejire asked as she tilts her head. I beamed at her, "To win!", I exclaimed.

There was a moment of silence until Tamaki breaks it, "We're going to lose", he sulked, which I sweatdropped.

"THE TEAM RACE STARTS... NOW!"

"Come on!", I exclaimed, linking my arms with Nejire with Mirio doing it the same with Tamaki as we run towards the course.

"Shit!", I cursed as I almost slip on some substance. "It's the boy from Class B", Nejire informed me as we dodge some students' attempts to slow us down.

"Now, that's from the support class", she said, as we dodge getting hit by a blast. "They can have their items but we can't have our costumes?!", I complain.

"It'll be nice if you have your gun, Aka-chan", Nejire said as she agrees with me. "The gun isn't my costume", I reminded her.

Yes, I have a gun. It's all legit but the bullets aren't. I use bullets similar to the ones they used in Assassination Classroom, except for the Korosensei design of course.

It's all from the power of the reincarnated one. I promise.

"Aka-chan! Nejire-san!", I looked at my side to see Mirio with Tamaki on his back, which I sweatdropped. "We need to go ahead", he said, which I nodded.

"Nejire!", I called out, grabbing Mirio. "Hai~!", she said as she activated her quirk. She grabbed the three of us and we flew above, immediately taking the lead.

"M-Mountain!", Tamaki shrieks. My eye twitches as I saw a huge mountain in front of us.

'HOW THE HELL DOES A MOUNTAIN FITS HERE?!'

"Nejire, can you land us by the entrance?", I asked, turning to look at her. She nodded and we landed on the bottom of the mountain. "There's a tunnel", Mirio pointed out.

"So the best way is to go in", I commented as I scan my surroundings. "Let's go in", I said as I head towards the tunnel. "A-Are you sure about that?", Tamaki asked nervously as he follows after me.

"I'm actually hoping to get lucky", I said bluntly, making him sweatdropped. "But I think I know what this is", I said as I activate my quirk. "What is it?", Nejire asked tilting her head in confusion.

"Its a maze", I announced. "What a perfect match for you, Aka-chan!", Mirio exclaimed, which I smirked at him, "Definitely. Now let's hurry", I said.

If you could remember, I have the ability to calculate the odds. Recently, it seems like I could see an arrow, more like a guide whenever I'm in a situation like this.

It first manifested when I got stuck inside a building, a training regime made by Sir Nighteye.

I followed it in curiosity at first but when I got out of the building so easily, I was dumbfounded at what happened.

So here we are, successfully winning the race effortlessly. Well... in this part that is.

"... I think they're going to kill us", Tamaki said as he stared at the road in front of us, filled with traps. I glance around, my quirk still activated. "Mirio", I called.

He turns to face me, "You go ahead with your quirk, wait for us on the other side", I ordered. The three of them blinked at my order.

Mirio frowns at me, "Are you sure, Aka-chan?", he asked, which I nodded. "I could see the possibilities in each tile, we will be okay. Nejire needs to save as much energy she could so she won't be flying this round.", I explained.

Mirio nodded at me. He lets Tamaki go on the ground. "I'll see you guys on the other side!", he exclaimed before activating his quirk.

"Nejire, you go first. Tamaki in the middle. I'll go last", I said. The two nodded and we proceed to the obstacle.

"Y-Yuuei is really crazy", Tamaki stammered as he follows Nejire. "3 o'clock", I said in which Nejire followed. "Yuuei has always been-"

CLICK

"-GET DOWN!", I shouted as I immediately crouch down, grabbing Tamaki since he froze in fear.

CRASH

We looked at the side, horrified, to see a huge metal ball stuck on the ground.

'Oh shit. I think my heart just stopped beating for a few second there'

"O-Oh kami-!" "We need to get out of here fast", I cut off Tamaki as I stand up. "Th-This year is something else", Nejire said, shaken at what just happened.

"Let's go, Nejire. 12 o'clock", I said pushing them to move.

"You made it!", Mirio beamed as the three of us jumped in front of him, barely missing the spikes coming down from above. "What an 'on point' arrival!", he jokes.

We all looked at him, horrified at what we just experienced. "L-Let's get out of here please", Tamaki begged as he clings on Mirio.

"I-I think I've died a lot of times", I said, shaken at the numbers of traps we barely missed. "L-Let's just go", Nejire suggested.

We all agreed to never speak of it again.

"Oh, water"

Nejire said as she looked at the pool in front of us. "N-No more traps?", Tamaki asked nervously as he glances around. "Oh god I wish", I said.

'Nezu is such a sadist. I felt sorry for us'

"Do we... swim across?", Mirio asked. I hummed as I activate my quirk again, scanning around. I point on the left, "there are some higher odds there so... I think it's not as safe as it seems", I told them.

"... I want to fly across, Aka-chan", Nejire announced as she stares at me. "I don't want any more traps", she admitted. We all looked at one another and agreed.

We all flew until the end of the course.

"AND HERE ARE THE WINNERS OF THE TEAM RACE!"

The whole crowd cheered as they saw us stepping in the arena. I could only look around me lifelessly. "W-We survived", Tamaki said as he trembles.

'Is this how Mina and Kaminari felt when they go against Nezu in their Finals?'

"I-It was a horrifying experience", Mirio said, as he tries to keep a smile on his face. I glance at Nejire who's been quiet for a while. "Uh, Nejire-chan?", I asked hesitantly.

There was a moment of silence before Nejire turns around and beamed at us,

"Why don't we go and ditch the Sports Festival? Ne?"

"Do you have any horrifying experience?"

"... I think I have a lot of those that it feels unfair to just pick one."
