Hey all. Here's the endings/supports of the Viridian Vipers!
Chris: The Ultimate Perfectionist
———
Solo:
Chris Von Trinity shortly retired to the island for a quiet life of living with his friends and family after the war. When they explored the house after his passing they found multitudes of advanced technology that launched Fódlan into the next era.
Chris X Mercedes
Shortly after the war, Chris announced his marriage to Mercedes, both taking up positions at the Fhirdiad School Of Sorcery as Professors. The pair of mages had several children and they made several pioneering discoveries of magic, carrying on the Trinity name with pride!
Chris x Catherine
Both of them disappeared shortly after the war, no longer having a use at the Church. Yet, legends speak of the wondering nobles who struck fear into the hearts of any who dared prey on the weak. It just so happens that a verbal lashing was always torrented after their partner got hurt, or a cheery night followed in the local tavern when the duo appeared.
Chris x Shamir
Both disappeared across the sea and retired to the island for quiet lives. When trouble ever arises in Fódlan or in Brigid, it is assured that these two level headed individuals will solve it in a heartbeat, whether with a barrage of attacks or with their attitudes.
Chris x Manuela
The two advanced mages took to Enbarr and opened an academy for the less fortunate and nobles alike. They ran it merrily for decades after they were married in the school's halls.
Chris x Byleth (F)
Once Byleth ascended the throne, she announced her marriage to Chris and it was a grand ceremony in the monastery. The guidance and unrelenting betterment of Chris pushed Byleth into bringing about the golden age in Fódlan, one their children could happily enjoy.
Robert: The Masked Man
Solo
After the war Robert disappeared into history, never making a peep again. It's said that occasionally you could hear a quiet voice reading to himself or speaking to others, yet no one would be around.
Robert X Marianne
Soon after the war, Marianne inherited Edmund territory and Robert retired there with her. The quiet spoken voices would guide the territory into prosperity and joyful success.
Robert x Dimitri
When Dimitri took to the throne, Robert was there to help him through his troubling past. The pair could always be found in the library or meditating in the Fhirdiad garden. It's said when the king met his end at the hands of sickness, Robert stayed at his grave until he too passed.
Robert x Alois
Alois practically adopted Robert into his home after the war, the quiet laughter of Robert echoed throughout the house often and it was always pleasing to the ear.
Robert x Annette
This pair was a sight to behold as Robert helped Annette slow down and take her time to process things. She made many advancements to magic as the soothing voice of Robert pushed her to be her best buy to take as much time as needed to reach it.
Trevor: The Flirtatious Assassin
Solo
When the war ended, Trevor took to his old profession of killing for a living. No one could ever catch him, to the point they gave up trying to. There was a new certainty in Fódlan: Death, Taxes, and Trevor getting his contract done.
Trevor x Raphael
When the war ended, Raphael proposed to the assassin but Trevor refused. He couldn't have something around to be a liability or weakness. So Raphael joined him as his apprentice and later on the couple retired to a quiet life in Raphael sister's restaurant.
Trevor x Felix
No one could challenge these two to a fight. If you did you were as sure as dead, and the Fraldarius territory went clean until their deaths shortly apart from each other. It's said the other didn't leave until death took them as well.
Trevor x Dedue
When Dimitri ascended the throne and Dedue served him as loyal as possible, Trevor did as well. Any attempts at the king's life failed before they even began, sniffed out by Trevor or Dedue immediately.
Trevor x Caspar
Caspar took Trevor across the world and the combo got into plenty of trouble, always narrowly escaping through a mirror or again across the sea back to Fódlan. After a set of decades they retired to loves at Garegg Mach as combat instructors.
Trevor x Anna
It's said that the charisma of these two could make anyone purchase anything they could. Shoes, produce, meat, marbles, you name it! The wandering merchants made a killing until the end of their days in luxury.
Trevor x Byleth (M/F)
When the war ended, the former Professor took Trevor as a captain of their secret guard. Their lives were never in danger once, always two steps ahead was Trevor. When he was sent out on missions, a mysterious soldier always accompanied them, said to be the King/Queen themselves
Jason: The Wayward Saint/Guardian Flame(CF)
Solo
After the war, Jason cured himself and took residence in Fódlan as a commoner, disappearing from history until more half breeds started showing up in a small town called Remire.
Jason x Lysithea
The couple spent weeks searching for the perfect spot to set up their restaurant and bakery after their wedding. Finally settling on Deirdru. The business was busy and successful for years to come afterward and eventually fell to the hands of their children, it's said that the couple was never seen again after they originally retired. Yet a story persists that when you follow the trail of a viridian jacket, rattling of a snake's warning, you'll always find a mirror. The happy giggling of a couple and a far off island's waves echoing from it.
Jason x Leonie
(Supports B A)
B
"Hey Jason."
"Sup."
"Would you like to spar again? I have a few new tricks I think you'd like to see."
"If you mean the fact that there's more nets and pitfalls, sure!"
Clink
Clank
Riiiiiip
"Gah!"
"Hah- Woah. What happened to your chest?"
"None of your business. Goddess… Now I have to get my damn shirt repaired…"
"Oh! I can take care of it for you!"
"Uh, sure. Thanks."
A
"Hey Jason. Got your shirt all patched up."
"Thanks. Oh, uh, by the way. I'm sorry I kinda lashed out at you for prying at my scars. I never had an exactly easy childhood, nor do I believe I'll have an easy life ahead."
"Oh, that's fine, I didn't have the best childhood either. So, how did you get the scars?"
"I was an experiment back on the island. It's from all the surgeries they did on me there, it's also kinda what happened with the whole metal arm thing."
"Oh! You'll have to tell me about that one!"
"Haha, sure thing sweetheart."
Ending:
After the war, Jason took on the job of a mercenary with Leonie with the island as their home base. After three decades worth of success, they retired to the island with their children and lived a happy, booze filled life.
Jason x Flayn
After the war, the two Nabateans got married and retired to the Rhodos Coast, a small cottage by the beach where they would spend many a year fishing with the other and their children. No matter when you saw them, it's said they looked the same as when they just moved there.
Jason x Petra
When Petra took the throne in Brigid, Jason assisted in peace negotiations with Dagda and Fódlan, bringing a golden age of magical advancements in the archipelago of islands. The married couple retired many years later and returned to Jason's home, a simple life of love awaiting them.
Jason x Claude
When Claude left for Almyra, Jason followed closely and they brought a reign of peace to the continent. They ruled easily and none could stand to kings, nor did they want to, otherwise they would have rejected the grand wedding held in the castle.
Jason x Edelgard
So I want to give a bit of preface before this one: This was originally going to be the main story. Enemies to Friends to Enemies to Lovers. Enjoy this series of one shot ideas I had before I wrote out the story you guys (hopefully) loved!
———————
Jason watched intently at the battlefield, eyes trained on the Black Eagles due to him betting on them beforehand. Trevor had taken the Golden Eagles and Robert bet on the Blue Lions. He cheered loudly when the team he bet on won, and he guessed his voice carried to the battlefield below because the leader of the class looked up at him and her face went whiter than it already was. "Uh, I'll take the gold at home. Let's scram!"
———
Jason groaned as he woke up and got ready for the first day, rubbing his face with cold water. He slipped his jacket on and walked through the mirror, fiddling with his hair more than usual. 'Damn cowlicks…' He walked through and avoided the hustle and bustle of the monastery, creeping past corners and eventually running into a group of three teens older than him. He introduced himself quickly, "It's nice to meet you all. My name is Jason Blessing."
———
Jason tossed his axe hand from hand and let Edelgard engage, blocking the first and second strike before parrying the next, striking her in the stomach with the blunt piece of wood. He followed it up by pinning her by her shoulders, laughing at the thin blush on her cheeks. "Sorry sweetheart, don't get too many of those thoughts. Now again!"
———
Jason hummed as he flipped through his notes and looked up to see Edelgard staring at him, "Need something?"
"Yes. I seem to be having trouble with this spell."
"You forgot to carry your number in the equation, done that my fair share of times."
"Hey Jason?"
"Yes?"
"How long have you been fighting, on the battlefield?"
"Since I was about nine. My island gets raided frequently and I only kill out of the necessity. I hate taking lives, but when they want to take your's, it's only fair to show the same aggression."
"When did you lose your arm?"
"About… last year I think. Seems longer but here we are, eh?"
———
"Hey Edelgard, Happy Birthday."
"Oh, thank you Jason."
"It's just a cupcake and a necklace. I went to Anna and she offered it to me for free, lady likes to keep people enticed."
"Well, thank you nonetheless."
"Don't mention it sweetheart."
———
Edelgard flailed when she landed in the water and struggled to the surface, "Can she not swim?!"
"She's the Empress, why would-"
"You nobles are useless… I'm comin!" Jason tossed his hammer to the side and dove in, swimming underneath her arm and helping pull her to shore. "Sometimes I wonder what they teach you in that palace." She huffed in indignity, "Well, when you spend so much time below ground it tends to be an afterthought."
"Welcome to the club. I still learned how to swim."
"Wait… you..?"
"No shit, why do you think I have the white hair?"
———
Jason grunted under the pressure of Dimitri's swing, jumping back and he caught the lance, sending a bolt of energy into it, knocking him down and he ended the Battle of the Eagle and Lion. They won. "Nice job Jason!" Caspar clapped him on the shoulder and gave him a bright smile, "Heh, thank Edelgard. Speaking of which, where is she?"
"Talking to the Professor, they're dividing up the reward for the students." Jason nodded and walked over giving a silent wave to the duo and just listened to them speak, something about a party? "Jason? Were you listening?"
"Something about a celebratory party?"
"Yes. Would you like to request anything?"
"That you two actually have a good time and we don't have to worry about you sneaking off."
"I-"
"Don't act like you don't every time at the victory celebrations! If you two do, I'm dragging you back!" Byleth snickered at his remark and Jason grinned, ruffling Edelgard's hair. "Enjoy tonight, yeah?" She hesitantly nodded, a thin smile on her lips. "Alright, as long as you help me learn how." Jason blushed a bit and decided to double down instead, kissing her on the cheek, "Sure thing honey." She blushed and Jason cackled at her looking down at the ground, frustrated that she let herself open up like that. The hell was wrong with her?!
———
Jason hummed as he sat on the table and drank from his mug, Edelgard sitting next to him as they observed their classmates have lively conversations. "So, what's Enbarr like?"
"Very busy. Sometimes I wish I could get away from it all, but it's home."
"You could come to the island some time."
"O-oh. No. I wouldn't want to intrude-"
"It isn't intruding if I'm inviting you, is it?"
"Well no-"
"Then it's fine. Hell, we can go now, c'mon."
"Hubert wouldn't-"
"Thought I said you were gonna have fun tonight, let's go!" She hesitantly followed him and he cut his finger, placing the mixed droplets on the glass and stepped through it. She took a deep breath and stepped into it, passing into a cozy wooden room, a table and stove in opposite corners while she stood next to a countertop. "Well, we have two options, do you want to check out the cave or overlook?" She tilted her head to the side and he saw the question brewing in her mind. "We'll go to the cave, it's beautiful around this time of year too!" She let him take her hand and led her through the forest and he covered her eyes when the rushing of water could be heard. "No peeking…"
"Jason, let me see. I need to…" He dropped his hands away and she was stunned. The waterfall was glowing with a thick blue light, it was almost alive. "The moss in the cave becomes luminous during the Fall, it starts spreading in the cave and it's harmless to your health. Looks beautiful, doesn't it?" She nodded and she was shocked that she had taken such little time to explore such a beautiful place… She nearly killed him before she saw this. No. She was getting soft and- She grew rigid when Jason closed his hand around hers and her blush was evident in the natural light, causing him to laugh a bit. "Sorry Edelgard, couldn't help…" He leaned back as she pressed her lips to his and his eyes were dinner plates in size, eventually leaning into it too, they were silent pretty much the rest of the night, but their hands didn't part until the festivities were over.
———
Jason shook his head as he stood among the wreckage of Remire. Chris was in hysterics, Robert was shaken, and Trevor was trying his best to keep them both together. It was a mess. A needless massacre. All because some dumbass- He stared down a person in crimson armor and a white mask, his eyes slitting and growing luminous. "Leave before I snap your neck like a twig." They turned on their heel and approached Professor and Jeralt, Jason's glare burning into their back the entire time as they spoke, eventually warping away. Jason walked up to them and gave Jeralt a nod of respect, "What'd they say?"
"They said they aren't behind this massacre. Solon is their ally and he acted out on his own."
"If they weren't behind this, why would they be here?"
"Professor! Lady Edelgard isn't anywhere to be found, help me search!" Jason bit his tongue further and started connecting pieces. There was that small chance he was right. Please let him be wrong…
———
Jason hummed as Trevor fixed his tie and Jason stepped back, rolling his shoulders and he looked in the mirror. He looked alright. Well, about as well as he could considering this was his first 'date'. Chris yawned and waved at Jason, the three idiots would be supervising and keeping watch for anything suspicious. They walked through the mirror, dressed sharply and fanned out, Jason finding Edelgard and giving her a brief smile. "Good evening Jason."
"And a good evening to you too Edelgard. You look great."
"As do you."
"I… I'm sorry. I can't talk so formally, it's just not me. I never pretend to be something I'm not, won't start now." She smiled and soon the music started, Jason lead her out onto the dance floor and took the lead, moving carefully so as to not step on her toes and she laughed a little bit through the second song. "I'm sorry. This reminds me of my childhood."
"Well, lets make some new memories tonight, shall we?"
———
Jason stood shoulder to shoulder with Byleth at Jeralt's funeral, rubbing the man's back as he wept. "It's alright Professor. Just let it out. You'll get your revenge soon enough, I promise." Edelgard looked furious and Jason tried his best to calm her down but she was more closely guarded than ever. 'I have to break down her walls again I guess…'
———
"Get away from them!" He flashed for the first time, wings sprouting from his back and eyes glowing purple and green, locking whoever they met with in place. He stomped on Solon without a second thought, a muffled scream under his talons. "Go back to hell…" He flashed again, kneeling, and held his head, groaning, "Ugh. Been a long ass while since I've done that… I'm gonna pass out now." He fell asleep on the ground and Byleth shortly collapsed from the strain of a Goddess' power inhabiting his body. Edelgard helped Byleth but was even more wary around Jason, 'Is he the one I know now, or the one who just killed such a powerful mage without so much as a second thought?'
———
Jason growled low as he stared down the Flame Emperor, Edelgard gulping in anticipation as she met his gaze. 'It's alright… he'll understand when I tell him, right?'
He tore through her troops without so much as a sweat and Byleth closed in on the other side, she was worried now. 'Ugh. This plan didn't work… I'll have to accept my defeat here and move on to the assault next month. I have Byleth's assistance but will I have-' She was knocked to the ground and pounced on by Jason, hammer fisting her mask and shattering it to tiny pieces. "Edel…gard..?" The hurt and betrayal in his soul was mimicked by his eyes, her heart squeezed as he leaned off of her. "Strike down this wicked girl now Professor!" There came no response as she warped away with Byleth and Hubert, their next plan already in motion. Yet the eyes of Jason she just couldn't forget.
———
Edelgard and the Black Eagle Strike force left the ship, standing on the sand she had been on nearly five years ago now. "How are you sure he's here Edelgard, for all we know he fled to another continent. I wouldn't blame him with how much of a hell you made his life after all." Hubert sneered at Ferdinand's statement but she raised her hand, "No. He is correct. This is my fault." She stepped forward and her eyes caught on the house, it looked newly renovated and the strike force approached it. The silent sounds of sand shifting could be heard as Chris and Robert stood behind them, spells already summoned, Trevor sat in a tree and had a bow knocked and at the ready. "We just want to talk."
A deep, growling voice boomed over the island, "The last time you were here, you took my arm off. I highly doubt that you just wish to talk." Jason landed on the top of the house, wings spread and his eyes slit. "You shouldn't have come here. If you expect us to work with you now, then you're sorely mistaken." Edelgard spoke up for the group, "I thought you said you never held grudges."
"I forgive those who wrong me, it does not mean I will ever forget their faces though." They stood at odds until he left the roof, landing deftly on his feet and approached, "The only way I'm even considering working with you, is that you have the cure to the dual Crests, and you never come here again." Edelgard swallowed the feelings in her chest and spoke, "I have the cure to the Crests. I also understand your disgust with me being here. We have set up a base in the Monastery. If you decide to join us, you may come. We shall take our leave now." The group left with several death glares from Jason's guardians, and understandably so. Guilt ate at her chest as she boarded the ship and she turned one last time to meet Jason's gaze. His eyes were human, yet she felt uncomfortable when they met her own. If it was guilt or fear, she didn't know.
———
Jason walked around the monastery, his presence heavy around anyone, including the Professor. The only ones who weren't affected were his family, and that's because they know of the emotional turmoil that it was to have your first love be your first enemy. She called him a beast, a savage when they first met. Yet she called him pet names and granted him his first kiss when they finally knew each other. How does someone recover from that? The answer: Very slowly behind thick walls. Jason walked up the stairs slowly and took a portion for dinner and ate it hastily, groaning mentally as someone sat next to him. "Hello Jason." He grit his teeth and stood, taking his plate with him to the counter, thanking the staff for the meal before heading back home. He'd get there. Just baby steps.
———
He hummed as he knocked down Seteth's spear, "Listen man. You have a life to live for Flayn… Just retreat. Please." Seteth glared at him with eyes of malice and he spoke of judgement, 'Guess there's no choice then…' He flashed and roared, swatting him out of the air, pinning him to the ground. "Leave. No one shall follow you. Protect Flayn, to live in a new world with her… I promise you change shall come."
Edelgard watched as he let Seteth go, their eyes meeting again. Jason flashed and landed on the ground, "Staring problem?" He walked past and Edelgard grabbed his hand out of reflex, a sharp blade pressing to her jugular, "Let go of me." She nearly compiled but noticed the purple veins traveling up his arms. "Your Crests…"
"Are killing me. I know. Now let go of me before I end this war for everyone in a nice fell swoop, alright?" She hesitantly let him go and his eyes lingered, searching for something, "I can never figure you out…" He turned and left, meeting with Trevor and Robert to discuss the casualties.
———
Jason rubbed his eyes after taking the Bridge of Myrdin. His back was killing him and his chest was burning, thankfully Robert was supplying him with steady healing and he had his Holy Twins. He drained his negative emotions into his axes and sighed in relief. Well as relieved as you can be until your warmonger ex comes into your tent. "Jason."
"Edelgard." He rolled his eyes and stood up, gritting his teeth under the effort. "How bad is it?"
"The condition? Awful. Now leave me be, I have to talk with Robert about the island, damn beasts are back."
"I'll have a fleet of warriors take care of them."
"Like hell if I'll allow that. Last time a fleet of Empire ships came to the island, I suddenly was missing an arm and nearly a head."
"I-"
"You what Edelgard? You apologize? Well I'm sorry that I can't help how I was born, nor where. You go on an awful lot about how one shouldn't be judged by their birth, yet you hunted me down like a fucking rat. Don't give me your self righteous bullshit." He stormed out of the tent and down the slope of the hill, meeting Robert with a noticeable red aura around his axes, flickers of other emotions with it. "Still the heavily mixed emotions?"
"What gave it away smartass?"
———
"For the love of… Hilda! Quit it! I ain't gonna hurt Claude!" He ducked Freikrugel and kicked her in the stomach. "I won't let you near him!"
"Why are people here so damn stubborn… Urgh! Move!" He knocked her lights out and picked her up over his shoulder, leaving her on a bench. He took Freikrugel and her other weapons for safekeeping though. Jason unfurled his wings and surveyed the battlefield, eyes locking on two men and a woman. Judith, Nader, and Claude. Now, how to get to them… Well. There was always just brute forcing it. He flashed and slammed down next to Judith, eyes locking on her's, "Surrender. I mean you no harm, but this is the way it needs to be."
"I won't…" She looked around and saw her troops dying off quickly, she huffed and begrudgingly agreed, "Fine." He left and flashed, just wings now and met Nader head on. He cut the Wyvern's left flank and kicked the rider in the head, sending him crashing into the ship which raised anchor and left. Jason sighed and flew down to Claude, his eyes no longer glowing and just meeting his, "Claude."
"Jason- how the hell are you siding-"
"I'm not. If anything I'm doing this for my own good. I don't have much time left on this world otherwise. Just back down and leave with Hilda. She's in the city, relatively unharmed save maybe a concussion, but just go back to Almyra, alright? I don't have a traitorous bone in my body, otherwise I would've killed anyone who I promised up to this point."
"Fine. Take Failnaught. I'll talk to Edelgard later."
"She'll be in the market place most likely. I wish you the best brother. Outsiders…"
"Stick together."
Jason took the victory and left the town, settling on a hillside to watch the water. He was starting to dislike Fódlan, the only people who he remotely liked were, in his mind, from the island or somewhere outside of Fódlan. Well, there was one, but there wasn't any hope of rekindling that.
…
Was there?
———
"Hello."
"What do you need?" Jason was laying on top of a bookshelf in the library, buried in a novel and didn't feel like being bothered. "That is no way to talk to Her Majesty."
"Hubert. Go lick her boots somewhere else." Trevor spoke up from the other side of the library, flipping through a cookbook. Assassins needed to know how to cook too. Hubert made a disgusted face and Trevor flipped him off. No one cared if they were in hostile territory, nor that they were talking to royalty. "We are discussing the next battle plans for our upcoming assault on Arianrhod."
"So, me and Byleth will discuss the plan, you chip in on your two cents with insider knowledge, and then we go from there?"
"You could put it that way, yes."
"If you were more vocal, I wouldn't be so sassy with you. Correct?"
"You are."
"And if you were honest with me, it'd be a lot easier to communicate, correct?"
"...Yes."
"Then start doing it." Jason closed his book and hopped down. Beckoning Trevor to follow and join him with Byleth in the other room.
———
"Stupid oil blooded ass wipes…" He cracked open their skull like an egg and moved onto the next. 'Trevor, on your left is a Titanus, move carefully.'
'Copy that.'
'Chris, cover Robert while he advances. Me and Byleth are about to corner Corderlia, should be a cake walk from here.'
'Got it.' Jason flew up the steps, using his talons to turn midair and caught a Saggitae head on, scarring his chest and tearing open his jacket, he was holding back the urge to scream. "Goddess in Ailel on a sweet summer day you absolute cunt." Jason uttered the creative curse and confused the hell out of her before sending a jet of the fire through her stomach, turning her into a doughnut. "Byleth, mind helping a bit?"
The man nodded and applied the spell to his burnt chest, "Thank you. That hurt like hell… I guess that comes with the transformations though, huh?" He nodded and Jason patted him on the shoulder when he was done. "Nice work." Jason waved over his shoulder and moved on, "Thanks."
"Turn around." He turned and faced her, his chest a web of violet veins, "Satisfied?" Her face turned to a rare emotion and he rolled his eyes, "Don't act worried now."
"I wouldn't have asked if I didn't care." Jason sighed and turned around again, picking up the scraps of cloth, "Listen, I'm sorry that you get worried, it comes from a good place, I know." He grit his teeth and finally spoke again, "Edelgard. When you first met me, you thought of me as mindless and as a deranged killer, didn't you?" She looked to the ground and took a moment to think on it, "That is what I was told by the Agarathans."
"You're a smart woman. Don't you think they lied to you about anything else?" He took a deep breath and turned around, eye to eye with her, "I'm not the best with my words. I'm a much more physical person… Meet me tonight if you want to know how I feel."
———
"Edie? Why are you walking like that?"
"S-shut up Dorothea…"
———
"Dedue you damn idiot… I'll take care of him. You guys get Dimitri." Jason flashed and stood eye to eye with the monster that overtook Dedue. "You poor sweet man… I'll ease the burden." Jason slammed his forearm into its face, followed by raking his talons across. He avoided a swipe at his stomach and threw him to the ground, sinking his fangs in and releasing the venom. The body melted and left Dedue's broke corpse in its place, "I'm sorry… Goodbye friend."
Jason stood and looked to Dimitri's death, a grueling sight. "They deserved better than this. Maybe in another life." He shook his head and carried on, the purple wrapping up his arms like snakes. "My family is fine for now. How's the Strike Force?"
"No casualties thankfully. Uh, Jason, are you ok?"
"Yeah. Other than my heart currently burning like hell and my prosthetic being mangled." She placed her palm on his chest and used Heal, he winced at the icey touch but thanked her nonetheless. "Thank you Edelgard."
"You're welcome Jay."
———
"You are a disgrace to our kind! You shall die first monster!" Jason sneered and stared up at the Immaculate One. "I'm not afraid of you Seiros. You want a monster? I'll be a monster." He flashed and stood on hind legs, dual Crests burning on his chest and immense pain filling it, "Archangel!" A third Crest came to fruition on his chest, the Crest of Blessing. He swiped at the Immaculate One and met rough scales, green blood flying off, the kind he needed to save his life. "RAGGGGHHH" She screamed in pain as Jason grabbed her wing and tore, the membrane coming apart like tissue, "You'll burn in the flames!"
"Those flames made me who I am! Now burn!" He slammed her down by the neck and drove his fangs into her flailing neck, venom coursing into her body and making her still, the body dissipating as he flashed again, kneeling on both hands. "I… I did it."
"Professor!"
"I'll… I'll just take a nap now…" He leaned forward and drifted off to sleep, the warm fires of a revolution burning around him.
———
Ending
As Edelgard unified Fódlan and rid the continent of the church, she did so with a healthy Jason by her side, green hair growing in place of his silver. They led the continent to a golden age of prosperity and lived fruitful lives once their children took the reigns. It's said that you can still find a youthful couple on an unnamed island in the middle of the sea.
Yeah. Those ideas were brewing in my head for a while. Hope you enjoyed them! Now onto Byleth!
Jason x Byleth
"Oh. Hey Professor. What's up? Come to enjoy the sunset too?"
"I was looking for you."
"Oh? Why? Not like I'm of much use without my original Crests anymore, hell, I can barely fight anymore."
"That's not why I came to see you. I wanted to ask you to marry me."
"Uh. Are you sure? I'm not exactly very attractive. Besides, you're the leader of Fódlan now! You can have your choice of anyone in the continent, why would you choose an outsider like me?"
"Because I love you." Jason's eyes widened and he blushed, "O-oh. Um. I don't really know how to respond to that, uh…" He scratched the back of his head, "I… don't have much to offer, but I love you too." He rocked his head to the side and smiled, "So I accept. You helped make me who I am today, let's lead Fódlan to the Golden Age yeah?"
———
Ending
As Byleth ascended to the throne, they shortly announced their engagement to Jason afterwards. The latter helped the continent break down its walls and made several peace negotiations with nations such as Almyra, Sreng, Dagda, and Morfis. It's said after the married couple retired, mirrors leading to otherworldly places could be found around the castle.
