A/N: Hello guys, welcome to the newest chapter of Kid of the Hunt. I am really happy to see there are still people out there who want this story to continue, so I try my best to keep on the delivery of content as much as possible. So without further ado, let's get started.
Karin shook a bit, a sick feeling washing over her whole body. Currently, she was sitting in the main room of the Namikaze mansion, trying to grasp the meaning of this.
She knew it had something to do with her cousin. She sensed a lot of evil and hatred eminating from his body and soul. It was very similar to the entity she felt residing in the swords of Naruto.
Kankuro entered the room and found the sick form of his comrade. He immediately rushed to her side and shook her out of her daze.
"Karin. Hey Karin, what is it?"
"It's Naruto. He...", she started, but stopped immediately to run out of the mansion, followed closely by her companion.
Outside of the house, a shaking and still furious Naruto appeared in a yellow flash while Jiraiya and Danzo were still holding onto him.
Naruto stumbled away, clutching his head tightly. He gripped his hair in pain while trying to fight the strange pushing feeling in his head. As if something foreign wanted to enter his head and take control of him.
'Hahaha, foolish mortal. How easy it is for your kind to be consumed by rage.', laughed the mocking, demonic voice in his mind.
"GET OUT!", Naruto yelled, though no one saw what he was yelling at.
"Naruto!", Karin yelled and charged forward, only to be stopped by a handsign of Naruto. He chuckled, and with now pupilless eyes, looked at the other redhead.
"There is nothing you can do, mortal woman. This body now belongs to the Darkin Blade Rhaast. Hahaha!"
The four swords flew out of the grasp of Naruto's hands and stayed in the air. Right there, the blades spun so they pointed towards the Jinchuuriki. In one motion, they pierced the Jinchuuriki, causing him to gasp and levitate into the air.
A red explosion left the boys body and spread a red cloud all around.
'What the hell happened to him?', Kankuro asked himself, shielding his eyes from the red cloud. "Where is Deidara and the others?"
"T-they are on missions already, Deidara and Utakata seperated with the other Jinchuuriki!", Karin stuttered, shook to the very core by the feeling of the evil chakra eminating from her cousin.
When everything cleared, another person stood in the spot Naruto was before. It didn't look like a person anymore, but rather a ghost which took control of an armor. Besides the chest and the eyes, the whole body consisted of dark grey metallic plates, his head replaced by a red core which looked similar to a flame and a spiked helmet on top of him, leaving two holes for eyes which were illuminated by the red flames.
"Now, the shadows have a new master! Tremble before me, Elemental Nations, I am your reckoning!", the demonic voice yelled into the sky.
He was pulled out of his moment by yellow chains shooting out of the ground, trying to grip him. Quickly, he rolled out of the way and bore his soulless eyes into the similar crimson orbs in Karins head.
"You will pay for that, woman. But not before I have killed him!", Rhaast yelled, pulling out the swords with his four arms and pointed towards the still silent Danzo.
"Danzo Shimura is your name, yes? You will be the first victim of Rhaast. The leader of the strongest village in the world. When everyone learned of your death, they will tremble in fear!", the demon yelled, charging towards the Hokage with impressive speed.
Quickly out of his stupor, the Homage dodged the charge and continued the fight with staff and kunai in hand, protecting himself from the vicious and dirty strikes the demon wanted to land against him.
'What's this, this definetely isn't Naruto nor is it the Kyuubi. Has it something to do with the swords?", Jiraiya thought, stunned as well.
Rhaast managed to land a few nasty cuts on the older mans body. He used the way he pushed him into a corner to disarm him with his swords and decapitate the Hokage with a scissor motion.
The lifeless body dropped to the ground. Rhaast felt satisfied until he felt Danzos staff rupturing through his back and leaving his body through his chest.
"Impressive. But fossiles like you need to understand when their time is up.", Rhaast growled. His body shimmered in a red glow, until he was dematerilazied like a ghost and flew back to gain a bit of distance.
Danzo stood there, Karin, Kankuro and Jiraiya still watching the battle. Suddenly, he was surrounded by all of them, plus the seven Desert Hunt Jinchuuriki minus Gaara which weren't even there a moment ago, covered in the signature red chakra cloak. They shot out their chakra hands to grip him tightly, Karin's chains tightening around his legs in a spiral motion and Kankuro's fresh Scorpion puppet holding down the demon.
Rhaast struggled against them, but the firm grip the ninja had on him was enough to submit his body. Roaring, he created the same red clouded explosion as before, throwing all the ninja away from him and breaking the grasps they had on him. All their bodies dusted away, only Danzo who rolled onto his feet stayed there.
"I see. An impressive illusion, Danzo. But you can't submit me the way you submit your fellow chakra useres."
Danzo breathed a bit heavy, looking down to see another eye on his arm closing off. Eight more to go.
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu!", Danzo yelled, surprised to hear Jiraiya call out the same command.
While the Toad Sage stood on his signature summon Gamabunta, Danzo jumped on his summon Baku, which looked like a crossed version of an elephant and some kind of furred predator.
Gasps and cries of fear could be heard from the city, panic spreading when the gigantic creatures materialzied in their sight. Even Temari saw it from the streets, and quickly ran towards the Kazekages office.
"Jiraiya, what kind of mess are you in now?", Gamabunta yelled to the Sage mounting him.
"See him there?", Jiraiya asked, pointing to the demons body "That's Naruto. He is possessed by some demon, and it's not the Kyuubi. We have to defeat him so we can figure out how we can get him back!"
Gamabunta was shocked. "Naruto is alive? Then I'll do anything to help him!", Gamabunta exclaimed, drawing his samurai sword.
"Well if you people insist on fighting like that, I'll be glad to join you. This brat did have a few tricks up his sleeve.", Rhaast yelled up to the two elderly men, forcing himself into the Kyuubi's chakra.
'Stay out of me, filthy maggot!', the Kyyubi yelled inside Rhaasts head.
"You will learn to submit yourself fast enough, scum. Kuchiyose no Jutsu!", Rhaast roared through the Desert.
In a huge puff of smoke, Rhaast disappeared and reappeared again, mounting the head of the, until today, most infamous demon in existance: The Nine Tails, Kyuubi. The famous, horrendous roar was echoing through the dunes of the desert and the village of Suna.
"Impossible! How is Naruto able to summon the Kyuubi?", Jiraiya yelled, Danzo looking just as surprised.
"Damn, it really is him.", Gamabunta muttered, looking into the slightly frightened, but still intimdating eyes of the Bijuu.
"Oh my god. Karin, we have to get out here!", Kankuro yelled, pulling the silent Uzumaki by her hand, straight into city.
"Jiraiya, I don't think the Nine Tails appreciates its situation. We should intervene, as long as we can.", the toad boss spoke to his friend.
"Right. Charge!", Jiraiya yelled. The summon ran towards the mounted Bijuu, which charged as well.
Right as Gamabunta slashed with his huge samurai sword, the Bijuu slid on his stomach to avoid the strike. He was surprised to see Baku, who already charged in as well, pounding him directly in his head with his own, throwing him off balance and onto his back.
"Suiton: Teppodama!" Before he had a chance to stand up, the mount was hit by an intense torrent of water, which made him slide further away into the desert, leaving behind a tray of dark, moist sand.
The Kyuubi quickly was able to stand up again and shake off the damage. Then, he felt a strong suction, moving him towards Baku. He was sucking in all the air in front of him, trying to pull Rhaast off of Kyuubi.
"Demon, I order you to attack!", Rhaast yelled, since the Kyuubi was visibly struggling to gain control of his body again.
"I will have nothing of that!", Rhaast roared furiously, slamming his open palm into the summons head. With a painful roar, Kyuubis eyes turned into the same, crimson red pupilless orbs his summoner wore, signalizing his forced submission to it.
While the Kyuubi bore its massive paws into the sand and Rhaast held onto his mounts fur tightly to avoid the attack of Baku, little red and blue orbs materialized in front of the Bijuu and collected themselves in a purple ball right before his maw.
"Suiton: Teppodama!", Gamabunta yelled once again, hitting the Kyuubi in the side of his head with another water ball to ensure it wouldn't be sucked into Baku.
The hit was a success, which resulted in Rhaast being knocked off the Nine Tails' head while the Bijuu itself lost its balance for a second. Even though it regained its balance, it was dangerously close to being sucked in head first into Baku.
Rhaast flew down, being knocked away a bit from Bakus cone of wind, though still close enough to be dragged towards its mouth as well.
'Dammit, I still can't use my Shadow Step to evade the attack.', Rhaast thought angrily, while deciding to use his swords instead. He connected the four swords which turned into one, longer blade, pushing it into the sand as far as he was able to and digged his armored feed into the sand as well.
He gripped the sword tightly, and if he was human, he would've gritted his teeth in an effort to resist the suction of the beast, which proved to be almost futile.
"What are you waiting for scum, do it already!", Rhaast yelled.
Even though it was hit hard, the Kyuubis attack was charged. With a red gleam in his eyes, the possessed Kyuubi shot its mighty, orange Bijuudama, which immediately got sucked into Baku as well.
Danzo's eyes widened. Immediately, he jumped off Baku towards Gamabunta who stood by its side yet again to regain his energy. In the moment Danzo landed, he clutched himseld onto the toad boss tightly who jumped into the air as high as possible. And that was extremely high.
Looking down, the Hokage saw his loyal summon consumed in an orange sphere of explosion, the thundering noise even reaching up towards the sky and to Gamabunta.
Gamabunta was able to hear the painful scream of Baku, which was quickly extinguished by the explosion. Even he had to struggle for a moment to regain his composure. Same for Jiraiya, even though Danzo was clearly his enemy. But now, there was a demon on the loose, probably trying to destroy the whole world.
Rhaast pulled his gigantic sword out of the sand again, jumping up to the Kyuubi who flew back a bit by the force of hid Bijuudama, and prepared for the next upcoming attack. Looking into the sky, he saw the descending toad boss, sword ready to perform a strike motion.
Rhaast deflected the strike and clashed his blade with the enemy, dropping onto one knee to push against the massive weight. Quickly, the Kyuubi snapped up to bite into Gamabuntas left leg, lifting off the weight of the other demon and throwing the toad into the desert. Jiraiya and Danzo jumped down to avoid being crushed by Gamabunta. The boss summon rolled onto his feet and looked down on his left leg, a few bite marks which let out a bit of blood.
'At least he didn't hit something important', Gamabunta thought, still holding his sword tightly by its hilt.
Rhaast just laughed, the similarly long blade stuffed in his hand. "Prepare for your annihilation!"
Suddenly though, the Kyuubi struggled to stand straight, the sand beneath him moving. When Rhaast looked down, he saw the sand they stood on risingg upwards, surrounding its legs and rendering it unable to walk.
Growling, Rhaast looked up to see the red headed Kazekage, looking as emotionless as ever, moving his hands upwards while the sand rose and circled the Kyuubis torso.
Quick to charge again, Kyuubi shot a, albeit much weaker, little Bijuudama towards the flying sand platform.
Since Gaara already controlled a lot of sand, which struggled moving upwards since it drained a lot of energy from him, the Bijuudama flew straight towards him, but was blasted away by two very powerful torrents of wind.
One came from underneath the enegry blast, shooting up diagonally. The wind came from Danzo, still standing in the spot he landed on when jumoed off Gamabunta.
The other came from the fan-wielding Suna-Nin Temari, who put all of her energy into one huge blow by her fan.
Temaris strike was strong enough to stall the blast for a second, until Danzos wind hit the energy ball from the lower left side, launching it into the air. As it rose to about 100 metres height, the Bijuudama exploded like a miniature supernova.
The Kyuubi started to charge another blast, while Rhaast launched his blade towards the sand platform as well.
Gamabunta quickly ran with a bit of a limp, under the levitating sand platform, right in front of Kyuubi to prevent the other demon from hitting Gaara.
Kyuubis charge waa interrupted when yellow chakra chains, controlled by Karin standing on the platform, wrapped themselves around the maw of the Kyuubi and forcing it to shut. Other chains shot out, pressing Kyuubis back further into the sand and holding it in place.
Gaara, Temari and Karin jumped off the platform and the Kazekage let it shrink down a bit so only one person stood on it. The puppet Master Kankuro, with his new, prized puppet Sasori.
Gaara directed the sand to the right side of the struggling Kyuubi so Kankuro was able to command his puppet to perform a fire blast right out of Sasoris hands.
Still under assault of Gamabunta, Rhaast wasn't prepared and the torrent of fire hit him on his right side, throwing him of the Kyuubi.
In his fall, Rhaast was able to turn around and slash, right through the platform, to hit a nasty cut into Kankuro's chest and left shoulder.
Grunting in pain, Kankuro recalled his puppet while he fell down, blood already leaving his body in the fall.
"Kankuro!", Karin and Temari yelled, while Karin immediately shot out more chains to catch him in mid air and put him gently to the ground. She ran up to him, quickly carried him away from the Kyuubi and tried to get him to bite her wrist, but to no avail.
She checked his pulse, relieved to feel it was still intact. But he needed to get into a hospital, again.
When Rhaast saw the puppet master bleeding and unconscious, something stirred inside him. He didn't know what it was, and quickly tried to shake it out of his head.
Utilizing the moment of confusion, Jiraiya charged towards the demon. Five little, purple flames were on his fingertips, and once Rhaast saw the Toad Sage, he already rammed the palm into his stomach.
"Gogyo Fuin!"
In the moment the palm connected, Kyuubi immediately vanished in a puff of smoke, which caused the sand and chains to fall down.
Rhaast wondered why the Bijuu disappeared, but the knowledge of the brat he possessed gave him the answer. The Gogyo Fuin effectively prevented Rhaast from tapping into the Kyuubis chakra again.
'I see. This isn't a normal summon. He uses the Kyuubis chakra to create a copy of it, similar to a Kage Bunshin.', Jiraiya thought when he saw the Nine Tails dispell.
When Rhaast was out of his stupor, he quickly used his Shadow Step again, dematerialized and flew straight into the sand. Jiraiya knew better than to try and chase him. With that technique, he couldn't reach him.
When Jiraiya turned around, it was the first time he saw the impact of the fight. A huge crater where Baku exploded, huge spots with wet sand where Gamabunta shot his jutsu into, and a bit of Gamabuntas and lots of Kankuro's blood, tainting the beautiful golden dunes in a sick red colour. Gaara, Temari and Karin where already on their move to return the bloody Kankuro. Gamabunta breathed heavily and nodded to Jiraiya, who nodded back. The toad boss then dispelled himself and left the sage alone in the desert.
That's when Jiraiya noticed that Danzo was gone. Rhaast, too, seemed to have retreated for now, probably preparing himself for the inevitable clash which had yet to follow.
But he couldn't care less. What was most important to him was that Naruto was gone yet again. And even though he was alive, he was just as much out of his reach as before.
A/N: Hey guys. So that was the little League of Legends subplot I've announced in the summary. As you saw, Rhaast is a demon who lives inside a weapon. The scythe he was originally in belongs to the LoL champion Kayn, but I used him in this story to be the jailor of four ancient swords, since I really like his concept.
