Something that I've recently been thinking about and I think is important to clarify is that I see the central focus of TVD being around Elena/Stefan/Damon. I want this fanfic to be from the perspective of an OC who is affected by the things that happen, introduce new relationships+characters and storylines that go along with the cannon plot.

Sabrina sat in the parlour with a glass of bourbon in her hand. Hearing a car pull up in the drive way, she got up from the sofa and turned around as Damon walked into the room and stood by the door.
"Where is he Damon?"
"Away from here." Damon was cautious as he approached her. Her voice was calm, too calm.
"Tell me."
"I can't."
She placed the glass down on the table behind the sofa as she stood beside it.
"I know you're angry and upset and you have every right to be. I understand," Damon said walking closer.
"Do you?" her voice started to become darker as the emotion poured back into it.
"He was going to go through with getting Elena killed, we had no choice."
"There's always a choice, Damon," she huffed. "But it's always Elena for you isn't it? No regard for anyone else. We're all just a second thought."
Damon was silent, he knew this was the calm before the storm.
"No regard for anyone else's happiness." Tears streamed out of her eyes. "I've never once asked for anything, but I deserved this," her voice began to break and the tears continued. "I deserve the chance to be happy. To have someone. And I did but you took him away from me!"
Stefan and Elena walked in but stood far back. Sabrina continued as she ignored their presence.
"It's not fair Damon." It was softer than the rest of her speech.
"I know."
"Then why?" The tears had stopped but the wetness of them remained.
Damon was silent for a second, she knew the answer. Sabrina looked at Elena and let out a shaky breath.
Damon averted to gaze to anywhere but Sabina, not being able to answer or look her in the eye. Using the opportunity, she grabbed the stake she had hidden in the corner of the sofa. Talking a quick small step, she plunged it into him making sure to miss his heart.
"Damon!" Elena came running over to him as he fell to his knees and groaned in pain. Stefan sped over to Sabrina pulling back so she couldn't get to him.
"Let her go, Stef," Damon instructed as he pulled the long piece wood out of him with another groan and got up. "She's just upset."
She looked between Stefan and Damon before a quick glance at Elena.
"Hasn't history taught you both anything." She looked back at Damon, wiping awake the dried tears as Stefan released her.
"You run around trying to help Elena, trying to stop her from getting killed." She looked between the brothers, "but all you really do is get people who didn't ask to be involved killed, innocent people who don't deserve to die for your love for this one girl which will in the end destroy both your lives!"
The room was silent, the fire cracking from the fire place in the background was the only sound that was heard for a while, until a sniffle broke the quietness.
"Screw you. You're all pathetic." And with that she took her leave.

Walking into the hallway of the Gilbert house Sabrina stopped and turned her head away as Alaric walked past her. She could tell that something had happened as John stood in the entry way of the kitchen. Not talking to either of them she walked up the stairs to Jenna's room. She knocked on the door before slightly opening it.
"Jenna," her voice still broken from the Salvatore house. Pushing the remainder of the door open she saw Jenna sitting in the dark, on the edge of her bed with her head between her hands resting on her thigh.
"Jenna?" she closed the door and walked over to her friend, kneeling down beside her and rubbed her shoulder. The redhead lowered her hands and looked at her.
"You look like you've been crying."
"You look like you are crying."
"Did Elijah-" Sabrina shook her head cutting her off as Jenna sniffled.
"Alaric and John downstairs?"
"I won't ask if you won't."
Sabrina nodded her head. "Deal," she replied softly as they two embraced in a hug.
"I really don't like the trend that girls' night has picked up." They both let out a teary laugh as they comforted each other.

A/N: Well. While Elijah might be gone, Klaus isn't far behind. Also, we get a stubborn Sabrina in the next chapter.
So this is my action plan: I'm going to have 3 episodes (all parts) posted next week to the part where Klaus gets here. Once I get to the episodes Klaus is in, I'll be posting daily till we get to season 3.
