I've told before and it's not been so easy to write right now since I have to deal with personal matters, and we're in a pandemic which we all know right now. I don't back down no matter how hard things are right now for me but writing some how allows me to clear my head. So enjoy this next chapter.
October 7, 17:00hrs Zulu Time
Paris, France
Delta Force Camp Alpha Team
Mission Objective: Eliminate enemy targets, rescue the hostages from a sieged German Embassy that has been taken over. Delta team callsign Alpha will push into the Embassy and rescue the hostages one room at a time with sniper support from a Task Force callsign Bravo 2-1 will clear out the outer perimeter for Alpha team to push towards front door.
Secondary Objective: Save the Ambassador that is likely to be executed within 48 hours on camera for the world to see. Eliminate militia Captain before the execution and gather intel on the enemy's next move.
With orders received they have move fast. Delta Force Alpha Squad leader met with Ghost and told them what the plan is and they must move tomorrow morning while they are rotating shifts. Ghost already got his plan set for his two operatives. He already looked at his map of the area and saw two perfect sniper positions for them to use since they'll need to hit the outer perimeter first before hitting the courtyard to the front door.
Snipers are likely to be on the rooftop so they have to go first or else they could alert the others that they're coming to rescue the hostages.
Alpha team consisted of five man team which have experience in these situations that their going to do in some hours.
They got the weather report and it'll be raining which will be perfect for them since the rain will help Alpha team be silent outside before entering the Embassy. Ghost will spectator watching over them from their cameras. Weapons choices for Humphrey and Michael are the M110 Bipod Silenced w/ 8x Sniper Scope plus 20 round mags. Secondary Primary M4A1 Silenced with Holographic. Their sidearm is the 1911A2 Silenced. Delta Force Alpha Team already chose the M4A1 SOPMOD (Grenadier w/ Reddot sight Silenced). Secondary for them is the P226 Silenced.
Ghost calls in everyone so he can explain what must be done.
The briefing begins. "Men, we're on the clock here. The German Embassy is still captured by the Militia. I just got confirmation that these are Militia from the Middle East and they are to be taken out with speed and precision. Don't leave anyone of them alive. We don't negotiate with terrorist. The plan goes as this." Ghost points on the map of where the teams will go and continues on with the brief. "Delta Force will ride in a French police armored van while my two operatives take overwatch on two rooftops of two Hotels and take out enemy snipers on top of the Embassy and clear the perimeter for Alpha Team to push to the front door. Proper coordination is key for this. Talk to one another and you'll be able to get the jump on these bastards."
They all nod at the plan as Ghost continues to talk. "Once inside the building, Delta will have to go room by room of the entire two storying embassy and take out all hostiles and save the hostages that are their. I got word from the French Police that their are at least 25 hostages mostly Embassy staff personal. Secondary objective is to find and save the German Ambassador and kill the Militia Captain that is with him. If the Militia Captain escapes, he'll likely try to escape from the rooftop where he'll try and run towards the front gate to escape, that's where Frost and Archer come in. If you two see him run out. Take him out before he gets away. We can't let him escape."
They looked at the plan seriously and they all nodded. They already got some practice already for it and got intel confirming on the inside of the building and what needs to be done. Still they'll ask their questions on how well armed and trained the enemy is and what needs to be accomplished.
Ghost then said. "Question?" The squad leader asks him. "Sir, we have the path and our orders. The enemy though, how well armed and trained they are?" Ghost tells him and Alpha Team. "Theses guys are well trained but are not using body armor, only chest rigs. They are heavily arm using smgs, assault rifles, lmgs, and sniper rifles." More questions were asked and Ghost answered the questions and afterwards no more questions were asked and Ghost tells them that the operation begins 05:00 hours tomorrow. They were all dismissed and began to get their gear set up.
Humphrey and Micheal checked their body armor and loaded the pouches up and getting their weapons loaded up. Since it's going to be raining tomorrow they got their grey soft-shell jackets ready.
They finished getting their gear prepped and entered their assigned barracks to get some sleep.
October 8, 05:00 hrs
Join Force Operation
Paris, France
Near German Embassy
Bravo team already in position on the rooftops of the Hotels that they've picked to provide overwatch and support for Alpha team to move up. Humphrey and Michael already in their rain soft-shell jackets with black tactical glove, ACU camo combat pants, black tactical boots. Humphrey put on the hoodie of his jacket while Michael used a black tactical helmet. Both with assault body armor with full ammo on their pouches. Delta operatives were in blue soft-shell jackets with multicam combat pants, tan tactical gloves and tan tactical helmets. They also have assault body armor, but packed on flash bangs and stun grenades for the mission. Bravo have speaker coms while Delta have head set coms. Rain coming down and the ground wet from it but the mission is a go. Their is no backing down now.
Waiting for Alpha Team the two operatives observed the Embassy and saw about 6 enemy snipers watching the area, then looking at the front door and the courtyard. They counted 15 plus footmobiles watching the area. Both of them were 700 yards from the Embassy.
Just then they see the armored van drive towards an alley just on the other side of the Embassy. Alpha team got out of the vehicle and moved towards the wall of the Embassy. The squad leader contacted Bravo. "2-1 you got eyes on us?" They saw them with the scopes on their M110s which are deployed, and Humphrey responds. "Solid copy, we've got you." He then contacted Michael telling him to get ready to take care of the snipers first since they have to make sure that they don't spot Alpha team.
Humphrey contacts Alpha team. "Alpha be advised, Bravo is going to take care of snipers on the roof first. Move towards the front gate and check to see if their are hostiles guarding the entry point." The squad leader responded. "Copy that, Alpha is moving towards the front gate."
Humphrey then contacted Michael. "Archer, we got take care of the snipers first as Alpha move towards the gate. I count six watching the perimeter. Take them out fast. You take the first shot and I'll follow. On you." Aiming their crosshairs on the enemy, headshots was something but with the cool weather and the rain coming it could effect the shot. Headshots were not an option so center mass is the better way to go.
Michael picked his target and opened fire. Humphrey soon followed as they took out the first two and moving onto the last four snipers left and they got them all. All enemy snipers were neutralized. Humphrey contacted Alpha team. "Alpha this is 2-1 be advised, all snipers are down. We can now clear out the inner perimeter and the courtyard once you enter the gate." The squad leader responds. "Solid copy Bravo, we're near the gate and we see only two guards watching it. We'll take care of them so we can enter the perimeter. Cover us and make sure their aren't any hostiles on the other side of that can alert the others that we're here." Humphrey and Michael aim towards the gate and Humphrey sees them and responds. "Copy that, we see you. I got nothing on the other side of the gate or the wall. No hostiles. Your cleared to engage."
Delta team Alpha took out the two guards and one of the soldiers got out bolt cutters to cut the chain as they moved towards the gate. The chain got cut open and the Delta team pushed into the perimeter. Bravo team took care of hostiles that are on patrol to make the job easier for Alpha team to reach the front door to get in.
All hostiles patrolling the perimeter were now taken out and the courtyard is also clear. They expect that the enemy knows that their here now. Still they have no choice but to proceed with the mission.
Alpha team pushed towards the front door, until a contact came toward both coms of Alpha and Bravo. "Alpha 1-1 this is Overlord hold position at the door, over." Alpha team stopped at the door and responded. "Rodger Overlord, you have something important to say?" HQ responds. "Copy that 1-1. We just got contacted by the French Police Headquarters and just received intel that the Embassy has been rigged with C4 charges on the basement, garage, and ground floor. Engineers have be sent towards the Embassy to disarm the charges, but you have to proceed now or else the enemy will collapse the building. Engineering team is callsign Jester 2-1. Rescue the hostages. Out."
The situation is now critical, if the enemy is trying to collapse the Embassy then they're likely to do that with personal still inside which will be very terrible if they can't stop them from setting off the charges.
Alpha Squad leader contacted Bravo. "Bravo, did you get that from Overlord?" Humphrey responded. "Copy all. We can't let them set off the charges. Be advised, once you guys are inside the Embassy, we will not be able to see you at all or provide support. You're on your own from here on. Good luck, out."
Alpha pushed into the Embassy and got work. Bravo could only watch from their position and see Alpha through some of the windows pushing room to room clearing them out and rescuing hostages as they go.
Less then two hours later Alpha team rescued all the hostages, but the Ambassador is still in danger. They had one room left to check out in the basement as they have nearly all the basement secured.
Bravo watched outside and then they both noticed another armored van come towards the Embassy. The vehicle moved towards the gate and then the doors opened revealing the Engineering team Jester arrived on scene. Humphrey contacted them right away telling them to hold position by the gate to wait for the all clear.
10 minutes in Alpha contacted Bravo. "This is Alpha 1-1 be advised, the militia Captain just slipped from our grasp he's running towards the front door right now! Bravo take him out!"
Both Humphrey and Michael took aim with their marksman rifles as they saw their target come out the front door to try and escape. Both of them aimed in front of the target, at least one and a half mil-dots to the right, now they're leading the target. They felt confident on where their aim is and they both fired at the same time. The enemy Captain took both shots in the chest and fell to the ground dead. Humphrey contacted the squad leader. "Alpha, target is KIA. I say again, target is KIA. Is the HVI safe?" The squad leader responds. "The HVI is secured, he's alive and will need medical attention. The Embassy is all clear. We're gathering intel on the hostiles that we've taken care of. Jester, you're clear to enter and disarm the explosives. Intel from Overlord says the charges have been set on the basement and garage."
Engineering team Jester got the green to moving into the Embassy to find and disarm the explosives using a detector to detect the charges.
Bravo soon got off their sniping positions and headed to the courtyard of the Embassy to join up with Alpha team, Humphrey contacted his CO. "Sir, mission complete. All targets down and the militia Captain is down as well. Alpha is gathering intel inside the building, while Bravo checks for intel on the enemy leader." Ghost responds. "Copy all Bravo, great job out their. You extraction is on route now, eta 20 minutes. Get the intel and let's get out of here. Our job is done here. See you soon. Out."
Both Humphrey and Michael reached the courtyard of the Embassy and checked the Captain to see what intel he has that can give them the chance to see what the enemy's next move and plan is.
After gathering the intel, Bravo's extraction arrived and they got inside the vehicle which will take them back to the camp so they can give the intel to Ghost so he and HQ can see what the next move will be. Both got really good news that they're still staying in France for extra 48 hours to relax and rest up since they worked very hard the last few weeks.
October 8, 13:30 hrs Zulu Time
Humphrey for himself went to check some jewelry shops that he wants get something that he hopes Kate will accept. He feels that doubt as well, but still he remembers of a talk that he had with Winston months back before the mission in Azerbaijan.
"Humphrey I want you to let you hear about my proposal to Eve. I was about your age if I remember. When Eve and I were still dating, I planned something out. I bought an engagement ring when I was in Germany on a two week leave. The ring I got her was the most beautiful ring I've ever gotten her. She came to visit me on my leave and we both went to a wooded park where no one else would bother us. I was a nervous wolf that I can tell. We sat down next to a tree enjoying the view of the city and after some time I got down on my right knee and showed her the ring box and asked her to marry me. Things kind of didn't go as I thought. She was in shock at first and said no because she was afraid that I may never return if I was in combat and she hopefully understood what she meant. I was disappointed and told her that if she didn't want to be with me, that I understand. I gave her a kiss on the forehead and left and she told me to stop, but I left the park. I may had tears in my eyes, but I kept my head up high knowing that she still loves me. Later on when I was in my hotel room, I got a knock at my door and opened it. It was Eve and she was a wreck. She immediately hugged me and said sorry. I was confused at first until she told that she made a mistake in not taking my proposal. I wasn't angry at her which she thought I was. She was scared that I may never come back to her if I was killed in combat. She wanted to be with me forever and asked to see the ring and I showed her. She looked at it and I asked her once more and finally she said yes. I wanted to let you know that if you propose to my daughter in the future, be ready for if she says no, never let your anger get you. She'll probably realize the mistake that she made and want to see your right away to fix her mistake. I've told Eve about this as well. We trust that you'll take care of Kate when you both are married and living a peaceful life together."
That talk that he had with Winston is a big reminder for him. He hopes that it'll go well for him once he proposes to Kate, but to be ready if she says no. Well whatever happens he'll always care for her no matter what.
Looking at a really amazing looking engagement silver ring with a brown diamond which Humphrey is interested in. He got Kate's ring size for her ring finger by Eve a few days ago by calling her.
Not long after he payed for the ring and has the ring in the box took it to the barracks that the French military allowed them to use while their on temporary leave.
Returning to the barracks, he saw Ghost sitting on a chair on a table which he appears to be reading a book or something else. He sit down on his bunk and gets ready to put on his sleep wear for tonight.
Not much is going on, but getting to explore parts of Paris helped out a lot for him since he needed to be away from being stuck inside the barracks all day doing nothing.
However they still work to be done when they return back to Afghanistan.
The enemy is lurking, searching for a way to take over the land, but they are now facing a new obstacle now, with a new force that they are facing they have no knowledge of what their capabilities are and how well they are trained and how many of them are their at the moment. This is causing serious issues that most be worked on and learn to to try and stop this new force from their attempt to conquer the country.
Sorry for the delay. I've been busy with other things and it still keeps me away from writing, plus I'm building a PC right, but it's still not ready yet, cause I need a few more items for it before it's complete. I can't say how long until the next chapter since I got to work on my other stories as well. Well until then, stay safe and I'll return soon.
