"So… are we gonna see anybody else?" Dipper asked. "Yeah, you are gonna be meeting a lot of people." Connie said. "Yes! I have another chance!" Dipper thought. Finally, Steven noticed the three gems he spent his entire life with. He came up to them and gave them a big hug. Pearl turned around and noticed it was Steven. "STEVEN?!" Pearl said. "Huh?" Amethyst asked. When all the gems saw Steven, they gasped and gave him a big hug. They all broke out in tears. "We missed you so much man!" Amethyst said. Garnet took off her visor. "How did you get here?" Garnet asked. "Yeah, didn't your car back down, or something?" Amethyst said, backing up Garnet. "Well, the place I settled in actually had a warp pad. So, since Connie was coming here, I figured I would come along too." Steven said. "Wait, Connie?!" Pearl said. Connie waved. "Hi guys!" Connie said cheerfully. She ran over there to give them a hug. "Great. Now everyone is here!" Garnet said. Pearl noticed the Pines twins. "Who are they?" Pearl asked. Before Steven could even answer, Mabel said, "Hi! Mabel Pines! This is my brother Dipper!" Dipper waved awkwardly at the gems. "Yeah, there from Gravity Falls. The place I've been staying at." Steven said.
Pearl stood up and shook their hands. "Nice to meet you Dipper and Mabel. I'm Pearl."
"Oh yeah, and this is Garnet and Amethyst." Steven said. "Yo." Amethyst said. Dipper was about to say something, but he couldn't work up to courage to do it. "Well, figure we have a lot of catching up to do." Garnet said. They walked around the school just talking and having fun. Even Dipper was starting to talk to them normally. All was fine, until Steven bumped into a certain someone. "Oh, I am so sorry… oh no." Steven said looking down to see who it was. "Well, Steven Universe. Fancy meeting you here." Bluebird Azurite said. Connie whispered to Steven. "Is that who I think it is?" "Yep, it definitely is." Steven whispered back.
Dipper was confused. Who was this and why were the Gems, Steven, and Connie in shock? "Um, hi. Who are you?" Dipper asked. "Bluebird Azurite at your service." Bluebird said, shaking Dipper and Mabel's hand. Steven pushed the kids away from the gem. "Stay back. She might be dangerous." Steven said. Steven glared at the fusion. "Why are you here?" Steven said. "Well, I thought I'd like to try out this new sword of mine." Bluebird said, taking out a very sharp sword. Dipper's head was setting off all of these alarms. "Nope, she's dangerous." Dipper thought, backing up a little slower. "Listen, we don't you around here." Steven said. "Well, the only way to get me out of here is to fight me!" Bluebird said, pointing the sword at Steven. "You may have beaten me last time Steven Universe, or no… shall I say, Alexandrite beat me. But, you're in the school, and you wouldn't want to make a scene here. Would you?" Bluebird said with an awful grin. "Get out of here. Now!" Amethyst said, pulling out her whip. The gems did the same and pulled out their weapons. "You were only able to beat me because you were bigger and stronger! But, now you can't do that." Bluebird said. Steven looked at Connie. Maybe they were able to do that.
Connie and Steven linked arms as light formed around them. Stevonnie appeared. "Wanna bet?" Stevonnie said, pulling out her sword and shield. Amethyst cheered. "Yeah! Go Stevonnie!" Amethyst said. Dipper and Mabel were in shock. Who was this? What happened to Steven and Connie? "Do you have any idea what's going on?" Mabel whispered. "Nope. No
idea." Dipper replied. "Fine! Your move. Guessing you even have any." Bluebird snickered. Stevonnie swat her sword at bluebird. They began to sword fight. As Dipper stared at the two of them fighting, he thought, "Wow, that looks really cool. I wish I could do that." As they kept fighting, Stevonnie did a flip and hit Bluebird just in the right place, poofing the fusion.
"Wow! You guys did great!" Pearl said. "Agreed." Garnet said, nodding her head. Steven and Connie unfused. Steven went to the twins. "Are you guys ok?" Steven asked. "Yeah, we're fine." Dipper said. "BUT WHO THE HECK WAS THAT?" Mabel shouted. "Oh, Stevonnie?" Connie asked. "Yeah, we fused. It's like when two gems form to make a bigger and stronger gem." Steven said. "But, since I'm half human, I can fuse with humans." Steven said. "That's so cool!" Mabel said. Dipper wanted to ask Connie something. But when he finally worked up the courage to do so, he asked, "So, Connie. Since your sword fighting skills were so good, I was wondering, could you teach me how to do that?" Dipper said, hesitant. "Wait, are you saying…" Connie asked.
"Yeah. I want to be a sword fighter."
Note from writer: WHOO! What a way to end off this chapter! Yeah, the Pines twins know about fusion and Dipper's gonna learn how to sword fight! I'm gonna post two more chapters this week. SO, stay tuned!
