Chapter: 14 Tomorrow Land

When we got off Susan and Doc were waiting for us. Doc told me she loved the clock thing, even when she was a little girl. He thanked me for thinking of it. I smiled and nodded.

Then I asked if we could go to Toontown. They agreed, and off we went.

B.O.B. loved Toontown, he laughed as he ran around the place and played with everything. When he stepped on the manhole cover, it talked to him.

"Who said that?" he asked as he looked around.

"It was the man hole cover," I told him.

He moved his mass of blob from the manhole cover.

"Hello?" He said, looking down at the manhole cover.

I smiled then jumped on the manhole cover. It talked again. B.O.B. laughed and talked to it again.

I jumped on it and it talked back again. He really enjoyed it like as if it was the best toy in the world. I then took B.O.B. over to my favorite thing in Toontown. It was near the gag factory, it was the electricity building when you open the door you hear volts of electricity on the other side.

I showed him. I pretended I was being electrocuted and was jumping up and down fast as if the shocks were going through me. "Bat!" he screamed. "B.O.B. its ok, I'm not dying," I told him while laughing.

Then B.O.B. looked at me and touched me.

"Are you sure? You're not dead?" he asked me.

"See for yourself," I told him and jumped off the step.

He hesitated and tried the door.

The noise scared him at first but then he started laughing and kept opening and closing the door.

I smiled.

I was happy I thought of taking the monsters to Disneyland. They were all enjoying themselves as I watched my monster friends play around Toontown.

Suddenly at the corner of my eye, I thought I saw something.

I turn

Nothing

My ears prick up toward the direction. There were strange, non- human voices in Tomorrow Land. I flapped my wings a bit to about five feet to get a higher look.

"What's wrong?" asked Doc. nervously. My eyes widened at the scene and my ears went back. "I think we aren't done fighting aliens for today," I told Doc without looking at him.

We all ran to Tomorrow Land and got the shock of our lives. There were real alien spaceships and a lot of aliens near the Astro Orbiter.

They looked like about a foot taller then me and had fly-like eyes, gray-blue skin, long antennae, three fingers, on each of their two arms. They looked human-like, but in a scary way. They also wore dark blue robes with hoods. They showed no emotion and all turned exactly at the same time and looked at us.

We jumped.

Then they all lifted up their right arms and held up their hand as if telling us to stop, but they weren't telling us to stop, as volts of electricity came out from their palms. We screamed and then dodged the blows.

"Great! We didn't do anything and now they are trying to kill us!" Link said angrily. We were hiding behind the strange rocks at the entrance of Tomorrow Land.

"Well, maybe its their way of saying good evening," said Doc hopefully, but inside, he doubted it.

I then saw Susan stand up from where she was hiding and walked up bravely to the aliens. "Susan! What are you doing?!" called Doc. his face was in a very scared state. I turned and looked at Susan; then she raised her fist and punched the flying saucer that was at her eye level it flew and crashed into a building fire erupted out of the damaged ship and plumes of smoke.

"That's what you guys get for almost killing us!" Susan screamed at them.

We were all stunned.

Susan just punched one of their flying saucers!

"Come on you guys! Lets get them!" yelled Link as he ran to them and punched a few before they could do anything. B.O.B., Doc., and I followed suit and were fighting them. Doc. got hit in the face by an alien and fell down.

The alien lifted his right hand and was about to electrocute him. I quickly thought fast and shrieked at the alien. The echoes hit the alien and sent it flying through the air. Doc thanked me as I helped him up.

Ginormica stepped on some aliens…on accident, but mostly on purpose.

Doc ran on all fours like a cockroach and went into one of the spaceships. Seconds later it lost power and blew up. He quickly ran over to the next one to disconnect it as well. B.O.B. ate some and sent them flying.

Link kept going through the swarm of aliens, using his skills to send the aliens knocking over each other.

I watched him for a minute.

He was pretty good.

He turned and saw me looking at him.

My face went red and I turned away.

My ears went back.

Crap. He saw me looking at him.

When all the aliens were defeated we walked into Tomorrow Land as if nothing happened. Doc. loved the Innoventions building. He looked at all of the cool gadgets and new inventions. Doc also encouraged Susan to squeeze in the building. She actually got in, but what I was really nervous about is if she could also get out. We looked around a bit. Link wasn't that interested.

I told him that there were racecar games on the second floor.

His attitude changed and he followed me to the second floor. It was just like an arcade room, there were four or five of those racecar games that made you feel like you were in a real racecar. Link squeezed in one and I sat into one next to him and we raced.

"I never really thought you would be into these kinds of games…Bat," answered Link to me while he kept his eyes on his car on the screen.

He didn't say Batulla, thank God.

"Well, maybe you should get to know me better," I told him, also with my eyes on my screen. My sunglasses were at the edge of my nose so I could look up and see the screen better.

"Well, what other things do you like then?" he asked me, while making his car turn a corner.

I made my car dodge an obstacle.

"Can you be more specific?" I asked him.

"Uhhh…what's your favorite color?" he asked randomly.

"I'm wearing them," I told him as I made my car go 90 mph and go over a bridge.

He quickly turned and looked at the colors I was wearing and turned back to his game.

"Ok…uh…what kind of video games do you like to play?" he asked again.

"I like car racing games, shooting games, and space games where you shoot the alien ships, which I think is called Galaga," I told him as I made my car do a 360.

He smiled. "Ha! That's kind of ironic," he laughed. He was referring to our encounter with the aliens that were in front of Tomorrow Land. I laughed nervously. "Yeah, very ironic,"

We kept playing for a while, and didn't say anything.

Suddenly Link asked me a question that made me feel uncomfortable:

"Do you like any guys?"

My whole body tensed up and my car crashed and started to burn up. My eyes were wide. My sunglasses fell off, but I quickly grabbed them and put them back on.

I still looked at the screen.

I looked down and started to feel my whole body feel sweaty.

"Ummm…w-what…do you…mean by that?" I stuttered.

He finished his game and got second place.

"What I mean is…did you have a boyfriend when you went to school?"

I fiddled nervously with the controls.

"Well…I did…like this one boy at school…" I felt very embarrassed telling him this.

I took a huge breath. "He didn't know I liked him…I am… too… scared to ask guys…I don't think he liked me…no boy has ever asked me out…on a date or anything, but I'm only a sophomore…so maybe…but, I guess I wont be seeing any…guys…coming up to me, and asking me out". I started to breathe fast. My heart pounding.

Why did I just tell him that!?

Then Doc and B.O.B. came up on the second story too. "Ah! There you guys are, we thought you two were arguing again," teased Doc. I got up from my seat. Then Link and I followed Doc. and B.O.B. downstairs.
