"What is Ash going to do, that you asked him?" asked Lillie in a curious tone

"He will do what he needs to do," said Gary while laughing

"That's not an answer," said Lillie while Pouting

"Yeah, it would be no fun if I tell you," said Gary while laughing as he left for class

Meanwhile with Ash

"Sir, I need to ask a favor from you," said Ash as he was standing in front of Sycamore in his office

"Yes, what it is Ash?" asked Sycamore as he raised his eyebrows

"Sir, I am having a 5-minute practice with Tierno after the School time," said Ash

"So?" asked Sycamore intrigued

"I want everyone in the school to witness it along with his confession," said Ash

"What did he do? Also why you want that" asked Sycamore

"He is letting things get into his head, I want him to shake a bit like a reality check, also he does have to make a confession and want everyone to hear that," said Ash to which Sycamore nodded

"Alright, but don't overdo it and I will make things happen," said Sycamore

"Thank you, Sir," said Ash before he left

"I think, Diantha would like to see that" thought Sycamore and then he proceeded to make calls

During School Hours

Announcement "Students it is to inform you that after the last lecture today everyone must gather at the Basketball Court for a special event"

"Dawn why do school management is getting involved in all this?" asked Serena

"Maybe someone asked them to do so" answered Dawn

"More motivation for Tierno, these type of things are fueling his ego," said Serena with a worried tone

"Don't worry Serena, Ash challenged him. So, I am sure he had planned things ahead of us" said, Dawn

"I hope so, Dawn," said Serena as Dawn nodded

Sycamore's Office

"What happened that required my immediate attention?" asked Diantha

"Just a little game for your refreshment" answered Sycamore

"What so special about this one?" asked Diantha anxiously

"You'll see Diantha, it's about time. We must get going" said Sycamore as they both left for the basketball court

In the Basketball Court

"WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU KETCHUM?" Shouted Tierno as he arrived at the Basketball Court and noticed a high amount of spectators

"I KNEW YOU DON'T HAVE THE BALLS TO FACE ME AND NOW WITH EVERYONE PRESENT HERE, YOU ARE EVEN AFRAID TO TRY" Shouted Tierno as he started laughing but was interrupted

Meantime in the Stands

Gary arrived at the Basketball court as he saw Serena, Dawn, Lillie, May, Calem, Paul with two other girls and walked there

"Gary, Where is Ash?" asked Lillie

"He must be there, why?" Answered Gary

"He is not there yet. Everyone is saying as he ran away from the challenge" said, Dawn

"He must be gathering all of the courage he can to face Tierno," said Miette

"Who are you?" asked Gary

"I am Miette & this is Ursula. We're both in the Cheerleading Squad alongside Lillie and May" said, Miette confidentially

"Nah, don't worry about Ash unless you are Tierno," said Gary with a smirk as Miette frowned

"We all saw him in yesterday's match and we don't think he is that much of a player," said Ursula

"I Saw Tierno's game yesterday and he didn't even look like a player to me at all" rebutted Gary calmly shutting off both Ursula & Miette

"You're quite confident about him," said Paul that even made him smirk more

"Of course, I had known him for long," said Gary

"We should sit down now," said Calem as everyone nodded

At the Basketball Court

"You're eager, aren't you?" said Ash as he came from the dressing room along with the other team players and then he nodded them to which they left

"I am eager to show everyone, how much of a pimp you're," said Tierno but was interrupted by Wulfric

"Mind your Language," said Wulfric to which Tierno gulped and nodded

"Coach, Sorry about that but now you'll also see how good of a player I am," said Tierno

"That's why we all are here, to watch the proceedings & I will be the referee and both of you, take positions," said Wulfric

Both of them nodded and took their positions as then Wulfric tossed the ball and the timer started as Ash took the possession with a high jump and after one minute of dribbling the ball and he noticed Tierno getting frustrated

"Hey, Tierno what happened? Can't even take the ball?" taunted Ash with a smirk while dribbling the ball away.

"You bitch," said Tierno as he tried to speed up but again was countered

"Hey, 2 minutes down already Tierno, Where are you? I can't even see you" taunted Ash again to which Tierno again tried to speed up but failed

"Okay, Tierno now take the ball and try to score a basket," said Ash as he passed the ball to Tierno who smirked

"Gave up already, Ketchum?" said Tierno as he got the ball

"Just try to score, Tierno," said Ash

Meanwhile in the stands

"He is fast," said Paul as he watches Ash speed up every time Tierno tried to steal the ball

"He is taking it easy, as of now," said Drew as he came from the ground and joined them

"Who? Tierno?" asked May

"No, Ash, he told everyone in the team to notice & spot the flaws," said Drew

"What the hell is he doing by giving up the possession of the ball," said Calem

"I think he gave up already before his stamina burns out," said Paul

"No, it is different," said Drew that made everyone curious

"Just watch everyone, this is going to be fun," said Gary as everyone nodded

Back at the Court

Tierno dribbles the ball and went over to one of the baskets with Ash following his closely. As soon he jumped to score the basket, he lost the ball with everyone watching the proceedings wide-eyed

"Hey, Tierno, you can't score a basket without the ball, do you remember that?" said Ash as he taunted Tierno who just got even more frustrated and ran over to Ash who tossed the ball back to him and said "Try once more"

"You bitch, don't mess up with me," said Tierno as he again went to score the basket but again this time like the last time he lost the possession of the ball and again everyone watched with a look of disbelief as he turned back and saw Ash sitting at the center of the Court with the ball

"You lack concentration, whenever you get excited to score the basket and now it's only 10 seconds left," said Ash as he tossed the ball behind his back without seeing and 'Swoosh' it's a basket and everyone watching down had a look of disbelief and the buzzer indicating time over.

"You, you played with me," Said Tierno angrily

"Of course, it is a game to play with skills and tricks," said Ash with a smirk as Wulfric walked towards them along with Sycamore

"Ash that was a brilliant display of what to expect from you," said Sycamore as he came forward

"Thank you, Sir, and also thank you for making the announcement & now Tierno has to say something to everyone present," said Ash to which sycamore nodded

"Tierno, you were also good there but Ash was exceptional & now please continue everyone as I must accompany Diantha in the stands," said Sycamore as he walked out

"Tierno, Start things up," said Ash to which Tierno nodded hesitantly while growling

"Serena, I am sorry for the way I acted towards you till now, but now you don't have to worry about me harassing you," said Tierno with his head down

"Tierno, now everything has settled why not we discuss the things you also need to work on tomorrow morning," said Ash as he nodded and went towards the dressing room

Meanwhile in the Stands

"I can't believe my eyes," said May as everyone else giggled

"He just made steals when no one even expects to," said Drew with a laugh

"It was unexpected, I think even some of us expected him to be good but not that good," said Dawn

"He also destroyed me yesterday before the match, I expected him to win but not like that. He also mocked Tierno by giving him chances" said Drew

"He trained with my brother Blue Oak. For few years it was just like a child's play for Blue to win but after every time it kept to becoming harder & harder and now Blue even also knows that Ash will surpass him" said Gary as everyone's jaw dropped with that revelation

"You aren't serious?" asked Drew as everyone looked towards Gary to see any sign of lie but his serious expressions make them believe him

"Serena? Where are you lost?" said Dawn

"I can't believe, I don't have to worry about Tierno anymore," said Serena excitedly

"I can't believe either, Why did he do that?" asked Calem while eyeing Serena mischievously

"He lost the bet to Ash, also Ash doubted that he may not fulfill his part of the arrangement so he went to Professor Sycamore, also in his presence he won't even try to escape," said Gary

"I am impressed," said Miette at which Serena glared at her but no one noticed

"Yeah, you should be after all you were the one who doubted him in the first place" rebutted Serena as Miette glared at her

"Miette, we should leave now," said Calem diffusing the tension between them

"Yeah," said Miette as she stood up and followed Calem

"Paul? You coming?" asked Ursula as she also stood up to follow Miette but Paul just ignored her and she left.

"She gets on my nerves," said Serena

"You should go and thank Ash, Serena," said Dawn while winking

"Don't worry you can thank him during our visit to Lumiose City" said Gary as she nodded

"We must get going now," said Paul as he stood up and everyone followed

"He does care about me," thought Serena with a smile
