Nunavut Matters Part 2
The elevator finally arrives at the bottom, and the final 7 teams bolt out, heading to different spots of the mine to find nickel and fill the bag up to 5 pounds.
Meanwhile, the Brothers ran to the guide, giving him their bag. "I take it we are the first to leave?" Jose asked the guide.
The guide nods their head, and gives them their tip. Jose reads it, "Head to the ice seaside with the 'Ridonculous Race' flag for your next challenge…"
The scene changes to Don at the same icy coastline. "Once teams are done with the All-In, teams will head here for their next challenge. It'll put teams to the test to see if they'll face… the cold!" As he's finished with his announcement, he hears a cab arrive. Out steps Molly and Lance, who walk straight in front of Don. "Oh great…" groaned Don, "Them…"
"Hello to you too, Donald…" greeted Molly.
"That's Don to you, Molly!" the man corrected, "And Donald is not my whole name. It's Donovan!"
"Whatever." said Molly, "Now give us our tip!"
Don steps aside, still glaring at the Bullies, before gesturing the Don Box. With their trademark smirk on their faces, the duo immediately waltz towards it, with Molly pressing the button and Lance grabbing the tip.
"Botch-or-Watch…" Lance read, "Whoever didn't go into Retba Lake in Senegal, must skate in the lake in front of you…"
The scene changes to Don, who was now in the middle of the ice lake. "For this Botch-or-Watch, teammates who didn't drink into Lake Retba or in the Jocks' case, they didn't hit a home run back in Boston, must go skating on this small part of Hudson Bay, covered in ice!" He hits a totem pole, "When they skate all the way here to this here totem pole, they will receive their tip from," He gestures to an Inuit boy wearing a parka, "This local. It is then where they must skate back to their teammate and read their next tip."
Don turns to the local boy, "Do you have an ice pack? I think I have a nosebleed…"
Lance is the first to go and perform the 'Botch-or-Watch'. "Here I go!" he told his fellow teammate.
"While Lance tries not to slip up…" Don narrates as Lance starts to slip on the ice.
It cuts back to the mines, where the British Royals and Young Farmers have each gotten enough nickel in their bags to progress on.
"Some teams from the mines are already on their way to the ice lake…"
It cuts to the Student & Counselor, who were filling their own bag. "Okay Luke!" exclaimed Guilietta, carrying their bag, "Do you have some nickel?"
Luke groaned as he was busy picking at the nickel piles. "Yes…" He threw it all into the bag, as if he doesn't care what else happens next, "This better be the total amount we should mine for…"
"Mmmm… maybe a little more." Giulietta said with a small smile, studying the amount of nickel Luke got.
"Dammit…" Luke cursed as he turned back to the hole he was digging out of.
Then it transitions to the Opposing Roommates, where Olivia was already piling nickel into the bag. Katherine, who was holding it, was becoming more annoyed.
"Liv, can you slow down?" she asked, "We're not in a total rush."
"Sorry, I'm just excited!" said Olivia, "This reminds me a lot of when I was little at summer camp!"
*CON: Katherine & Olivia - Opposing Roommates*
"Summer camp, ten years ago was my favorite memory of all." said Olivia, "I remembered the counselors telling us whoever jumped into the mud first would get a free coupon of meringue soap!"
Katherine glared at her roommate, "Who even does that?!"
"Me!" exclaimed Olivia, "I love the smell of lemon meringue! It's fun to get down and dirty now and then…"
"Yeah…" said Katherine, who started biting her lip, trying not to cry, "Down and dirty… Just what my dog did…" She looked away from the camera as Olivia stared at her, her smile dissipating. Noticing her teammate's concerned look, she wiped her eyes. "Dammit..." she said.
*END CON: Katherine & Olivia - Opposing Roommates*
As the roommates were digging and putting more nickel into their bag, the Stay-at-Home Moms ran towards them. "You!" pointed Georgia, "Have you seen two Brothers, both of them Spanish or… Mexican?"
"You mean Alejandro and Jose?" exclaimed Olivia, "They're handsome, aren't they?"
"Ladies, we haven't seen them. We just got here." Katherine told them.
"Dammit…" Georgia ran to the nearest team ahead of them - The BFFFLs. "Excuse us, have you seen the Brothers with a bag full of nickel in their hands?"
Katie and Sadie turn to face the Moms. They look at each other for a second.
"I haven't seen them." said Sadie, "Have you, Katie?"
"Not at all…" responded Katie.
"Oh man…" cried Carmen, as she and Georgia made a run for it to another part of the mine.
"Katie," Sadie alerted her BFFFL, "I think we're getting close to 5 pounds!"
"Really?" Katie asked, as she took a peek into her and Sadie's bag, "Yeah, I think we're at that amount! Come on, let's go!"
Meanwhile, Gwen was digging and patching the nickel in her and Courtney's bag. Courtney looked from inside the bag, making sure that she and her not-friend are near that amount of nickel required to move on.
"Okay, now tell me we're getting close?" asked Courtney.
Suddenly, the Moms run to them. "Excuse us, ladies!" Carmen grabbed the girls' attention, "Have you seen any of the Brothers walking with a bag full of nickel?"
"If we had, we'd say yes…" said Gwen.
"Well did you?"
"No."
"Oh come on!" Georgia exclaimed as she and Carmen pouted.
"What's the big deal?" asked Courtney, "Why don't you two just start all over again? Then you'll make it back to the lead as quickly as possible."
"I think I'm gonna have to agree with Courtney…" nodded Gwen, "It'll be stressful to do it all over again, but it'll at least get you guys back on a fresh start."
Carmen and Georgia looked at each other.
It transitions to them going back with another bag, as they had shovels in their hands, going back to dig for more nickel. They pass the Homecoming Couple, where Carla was still angry with Terrence.
"Get your ass into gear, Terrence!" yelled Carla, "We're already behind because you chose to step off that damn elevator!"
"Can't we talk about this later on the car ride to the next part of the leg, Carla?" Terrence asked, exasperated with his girlfriend's anger.
"NO!" Carla screamed, "We're already behind and it's YOUR FAULT!" The cheerleader kicked the wall beside her, causing a chunk of nickel to fall onto the group, scaring them, and causing them to stare at it for a few seconds.
Carla finally broke silence, "What're we waiting for, Terrence?! Let's go!" she beckoned as she picked the bag up for Terrence to put the nickel in.
Meanwhile, the Hockey Players have already gotten their nickel in the bag. This did not go unnoticed by the Punks, who were nearby.
"Hey, weren't you bozos with us for the second elevator ride?" questioned Wyvern.
*CON: Willis & Fredrik - All-Star Hockey Players*
"My dad was born near a quarry, and he used to take the entire family diggin' for gold." stated Fredrik…
Mid-confessional, it shows Fredrik using a pickaxe against the wall with his strength and agility of his arms, garnering a lot of nickel. Fredrik managed to grab the piles and put them into the team bag, which Willis was holding.
While that was going on, Fredrik was still talking, "It's not easy business if you ask me, but at least one of us has the edge for doing challenges like these."
*END CON: Willis & Fredrik - All-Star Hockey Players*
The Young Farmers and British Royals are seen getting on the elevator, followed by the BFFFLs.
"Huh, last I saw you, weren't you two halfway done with the nickel mining?" Scott questioned them.
"Storytime!" Sadie announced, "Okay, so Katie and I were halfway done, but then this chunk of nickel fell over us!"
*FLASHBACK*
Katie and Sadie were still working on mining for their nickel, with Katie holding the sack as Sadie was using a pickaxe to mine.
"NO! We're already behind and it's YOUR FAULT!" Carla's voice was heard from the other side of the walls, concerning the BFFFLs.
"What was that?" asked Sadie.
"Something that's not really important, I guess…" Katie responded.
Suddenly, they heard a thud, and then a few seconds, a huge chunk of nickel fell right near them, startling the two girls.
"Wha- How'd that happen?!" cried Sadie.
"I don't wanna know…" said Katie, shaking her head, "But it doesn't matter! Come on, Sadie! Help me get this in!" Sadie hurriedly came to her senses and threw the nickel inside their bag. "Excellent! Now let's get outta here! The sooner we're outta here, the sooner we don't have to think about being in the Bottom Three or so teams!"
Sadie nodded and followed Katie to weigh their bag.
*END OF FLASHBACK*
"Uh-huh…" said a skeptical Scott, as he, Rodney, Elizabeth, and Patrick were staring at the smiling BFFFLs, "That must seem real lucky of you girls to have that happen…"
"I know, right?" said Katie.
Sadie turned to Rodney, "So… you excited for the next part of the challenge?"
"As I'll ever be!" exclaimed Rodney, "I'm just gonna be happy that I'll hopefully see Courtney again, when she catches up!"
"Courtney?" Sadie's face turned into a frown, "Haven't you heard of her? She's been very bad during Action, World Tour, and All-Stars…"
"She's really nice to me… She helped me with finding a certain someone…" Rodney started to frown himself, "Though… How am I gonna tell Mitzy? She'll be brokenhearted when I tell her I'm in love with someone else!"
Sadie was confused, then she looked at Scott, who was quivering with panic and uncertainty of how it'll end up.
An elevator button is heard, as all three teams find themselves back on the surface. The doors open, and each and every one of them bolt out of the shaft to fetch a taxi.
The British Royals skid to a stop to see the Brothers, who were still waiting for a taxi. "What'd we miss?" asked Patrick.
"Nothing much, amigos." said Jose, "It appears the taxi service 'round here is… rather slow today."
And at that moment, four taxis pull up by the mine entrance.
It shows each taxi rolling their windows down with each team yelling at them the location of where to go and that they need to step on the gas.
Meanwhile, the Maple Scouts, Hockey Players, Unlikely Best Friends, and Homecoming Couple have already gotten 5 pounds in their bags and have been given the all-clear to go to their next destination.
"Great!" Carla exclaimed, "Let's just get outta here already! Come on!" However, each team looked at her funny, and they beckoned their heads to let her know that the elevator has not come back down yet.
"Carla, the elevator hasn't arrived yet." Terrence stated to her.
The cheerleader whipped her head back at her boyfriend, "Shut up, Terrence!" she yelled, "You're lucky we aren't in a race for last place right now!"
"Um, guys?" Gwen piped up, "It's still going on right now… We're just trying not to get in last place." Courtney nodded in agreement.
Carla whipped her head towards the goth, "Who asked you to talk?!"
"Hey!" Courtney shouted, "Leave her alone! She's just trying to make her point about something!"
"Thank you, Courtney." an annoyed Gwen said, but she wasn't displaying her annoyance towards the CIT.
Terrence glared at his girlfriend, "Carla, we really need to talk about your behavior in the race, like right now." he said to her.
"Uh oh…" said a nervous Willis, "This might not end well…" Fredrik, the Unlikely Best Friends, and Maple Scouts slowly backed away from the fighting couple.
"What are you trying to say to me?" growled Carla.
"I'm saying-" Terrence was about to say, before the sound of the elevator arriving at the floor was heard. The doors were seen opening, as all four teams wasted no time running inside to get back to the surface.
"While our teams are escaping hot situations in chilly mines…" Don narrated.
The camera cuts to the ice seaside of Hudson Bay, where Lance is halfway crossing the ice. "We see our not-so-friendly neighborhood still crossing the ice…" Don finished with an exasperated tone. "Thankfully, though, they will be joined with more teams coming for the race to…"
As expected, the Brothers, British Royals, BFFFLs, and Young Farmers getting out of their taxis, each heading to the Don Box to collect their next tips.
"Botch-or-Watch!" exclaimed Alejandro, "I'm up!"
"Andale, Al…" taunted Jose, earning a glare from his younger brother.
Heading in to botch the challenge, besides Alejandro, was Rodney, Katie, and Elizabeth. As soon as they stepped on the ice, all of them started skidding and sliding on it.
"Okay…" said Alejandro, "I think I might think this for a little bit…"
"Ya think?!" Lance yelled as he fell on the ice again.
Don, by the sidelines, was laughing at the male bully's misfortune. "I like how much karma he's receiving!"
"Hey, we can hear you, ya know?!" Molly's voice was heard, as Don's smile turned into a frown in record time.
Don cleared his throat, walking away from the other teams to avoid being called out again. He refocused his attention on the camera again, "As these teams are on thin ice…"
"It's actually thick ice!" corrected Molly.
"Whatever!" Don yelled at her.
It shows a montage of other teams; the Town Heroes, Lesbians, Jocks, Pizza Sisters, and Stay-at-Home Moms racking in nickel, and putting them in their own bags.
"It seems that all of the teams are nearly done with nicking in the nickel…" Don narrates.
It shows the Punks presenting their bag of nickel to the guide, who gave them their ticket. As soon as they bolted to the elevator, the guide turned and saw most of the teams already holding bags of nickel in their hands.
"Okay… all the teams are- wait, where are the C-List Celebrities?!" Don cried out, sensing that they were missing from the crowd.
It shows Shannon and Narissa poking the nickel from inside their hole they were digging through.
"Okay, I want to get this in the bag…" said Narissa, "But I don't want to get my hands dirty…"
"Me neither…" agreed Shannon, "My manicure would be ruined if I got dirt on my nails… And I'd kill a producer if that happened." She started thinking of something else, "But if we don't pick this up, we're gonna be, like, outta here!" She looked to her partner, "Look, let's just lift it quickly before the dirty nickel gets on our fingernails and hands."
"Whatevs…" Narissa rolled her eyes, before she and Shannon closed their eyes in disgust, lifted the nickel in the air, and threw it in the bag.
"Well…" said Narissa, "That wasn't too bad…" She looked at her hands, and found that they were covered with dirt, "Aww cruddy!" She turned to her partner, "That producer we were gonna kill?"
"Like, doesn't matter!" Shannon argued, "We have to hurry before that elevator closes on us!" She and Narissa made a run for it to the guide.
The guide just checked the Pizza Sisters' bag and gave them their tip.
"Thank you, sir." said Tracy, "Let's go, Lori."
"Whatever you say…" Lorraine rolled her eyes as she and her older sister walked into the elevator to be met by the other teams.
Carmen and Georgia, who have finally completed the All-In, look at each other. "Kay, we've got to get back in the lead!" said Carmen.
"No kiddin'." said Georgia, "Just as long as we hurry!"
With most of the remaining contestants in the elevator, the doors were about to close… Everyone was hoping that they would make it out of that mine as soon as possible.
"WAIT FOR US!" cried Shannon, who held the bag of nickel in her hands, "You don't want to forget about us, do you?!"
The elevator doors refrained from closing as the C-Listers stopped in front of their guide and presented them their bag. After checking their load on the scale, the numbers read…
5 pounds.
The guide flashes a 'thumbs up' to the ladies and presents them their tip.
"Okay, icy seaside…" Shannon quickly read the tip, before looking up to see the elevator, "Alright, let's go!"
Narissa followed the C-List socialite as they were greeted by glares from the other teams.
"Hey girls!" exclaimed Shannon, "Hope you didn't miss us!"
"I wouldn't…" grumbled Wyvern, as the elevator doors started rumbling, closing behind the C-Listers.
"With the rest of the teams finally aboard the elevator and ready for the next challenge…" Don narrated…
It cuts to Hudson Bay, with the Maple Scouts, Unlikely Best Friends, Hockey Players, and Homecoming Couple arriving to see Lance, Rodney, Katie, Alejandro, and Elizabeth on the ice.
"We're supposed to move on the ice?" questioned Courtney as Gwen went to the Don Box and pressed the button.
After reading the tip, she turned to Courtney, "Uh, yeah." she said, "You're up now. It's a Botch-or-Watch."
"Really?!" Courtney gulped as she turned to see the sheet of ice in front of her.
Lance turned his head around to see the other teams already coming. "Darn it…" he cursed.
*CON: Lance - Bullies*
"I know that some people won't be able to survive on the ice… But I do know for a fact that someone like the Hockey Players would… Luckily for me, I know how to control myself on the ice!"
*END CON: Lance - Bullies*
Lance picked himself up for a few seconds, before he started to feel himself shake from the ice. Pulling himself together, he controlled himself to be in a quadruped position. He dragged himself across the ice, making him skid across the ice sheet further than the rest of the people botching.
This did not go unnoticed by Fredrik. "Huh…" he said, "Two can play at that game…" He jumped onto the ice, and started skating.
*CON: Fredrik - All-Star Hockey Players*
"Skating on the ice is easy! Just ignore the fact that me and Willis are hockey players, and just think of us as professional skaters. It's that easy."
*END CON: Fredrik - All-Star Hockey Players*
As Percy and Courtney went on the ice, Carla and Terrence were still getting at each other's throats.
"Listen Carla…" grumbled Terrence, "You've become such an eyesore for the past few days now, and I'm sick of it."
"Shut up, Terrence!" Carla hissed, "Can't you see that I wanna win this whole race?!"
"I want to win too, but I don't want you having a hissy fit every few seconds!" Terrence fought back.
"So you think I'm a brat?!"
"Well, given your current state of right now, yes." Terrence nodded. Their fight was drawing the attention of the other teams, even the ones who were performing the Botch-or-Watch.
"UGH! I can't believe how critical you are!" shouted Carla.
"So you're admitting that you throw hissy fits?!" accused Terrence.
"I'm not answering that!" Carla turned her head to the side, her voice incurring that she is ready to cry.
"Fine! Be that way! It's what you do best!" Terrence argued, before turning to the ice sheet.
Carla whipped her head towards Terrence's back again, "What I do best?!" she cried out, "I'm sorry, I'm not the one that's being a complete chicken throughout the race! I'm not the one that's being such an eyesore and being such a timid little punk! There are many things in a race that I want to go smoothly, and-"
Terrence didn't whip his head around to face his girlfriend, but he did want to say something to her, "If you wanted things to go smoothly, then maybe you should keep your damn attitude in check!"
"Beg my damn pardon?! This is a race, a race, you idiot! How many times do I have to tell you?! Get your ears checked for crying out loud! For the love of god, I am SICK of you and your attitude towards me right now! I thought this race was going to be great for our relationship when we agreed to sign up, but I was WRONG!"
That made Terrence whip his head around; he finally reached his breaking point, "That's because I NEVER WANTED TO SIGN UP FOR THIS RACE!" he screamed at his girlfriend.
This got their peers, the ones that aren't performing the race, in shock. Carla, in particular, was more than shocked. She looked mortified. "W-what?!" she cried, "What do you mean?!"
"This whole race was YOUR idea and YOUR idea ALONE!" yelled Terrence, "I didn't want to sign up for this stupid show because I knew your attitude was going to be the problem! Yeah, your attitude. IS. THE. PROBLEM!" He meant it with lots of emphasis to prove his point, "YOU need to get your ears checked! If there's one thing I learned, it's NOT to be someone like Taylor or Stephanie from last season! You've become BOTH of those types of people, and I'm OVER it! I'M OVER YOU!"
Carla stood, mortified. She couldn't believe she was being talked like that. "I… I…" she tried to say.
"I don't care if we break up right here, right now, but I'm SICK of your b****y attitude right now!" He turned around to the ice sheet and started slipping and sliding.
Everyone's eyes were now on Carla, who, with tears forming in her eyes, turned her head around and ran away from everyone.
It shows the teammates not botching, with concerned looks on their faces. The sound of Carla blubbering could be heard.
*CON: Patrick - British Royals*
"Aye aye aye… I don't know if it might be possible, but I feel like the lassie's grown alot different from the boy. She might have some kinds of personality issues that she doesn't wanna calmly confide in with her partner, it might've sparked what happened 'ere."
*END CON: Patrick - British Royals*
CON: Gwen - Unlikely Best Friends*
"Sheesh… relationships can be hard… I feel bad for Terrence, y'know? He's got a lot on his plate thanks to Carla's issues with this game. I just hope he's feeling okay."
*END CON: Gwen - Unlikely Best Friends*
*CON: Jose - Brothers*
"Aaahhh… relationship drama. The best kind of ship to see sink! They're lucky I didn't mess with their heads and cause this whole drama. I would wonder if I did, they'd fight each other to the death…"
*END CON: Jose - Brothers*
Meanwhile, Fredrik and Lance were racing to the totem pole, both of them smirking at each other as they were skating or sliding, respectively.
"You got guts, old man." taunted Lance, "But you won't beat me!"
Fredrik turned to the male bully, "Ha! I've had lots of experience on the ice, pal!" Fredrik responded, "Why are you talking?" Suddenly, like Don, he hits the totem pole.
Lance stood beside him, with his hands on his hips, "'Cause… I know exactly where I'm going!" he chuckled, as he turned to the Inuit boy.
Fredrik stood up to meet the boy, just as Lance was receiving a tip from the young local. The local turned to the big hockey player and gave him a tip.
After silently reading the tip, the guys took off back on the ice.
"With Fredrik and Lance in the front for first place…" Don narrated.
The next scene shows the cabs arriving with the rest of the teams inside each cab.
"The remaining teams have finally arrived at the icy seaside!" Don concluded, with every team exiting the cab.
The Jocks were the first to make it to the Don Box, with Tyler hitting the button, and a tip coming out of the Box's 'mouth', "Botch-or-Watch…" Tyler said, reading the tip.
"Tyler, I think this means you're up." said Oscar, "Since we skipped the Botch-or-Watch back in Dakar, and you didn't take one since Vancouver."
"Alright!" said Tyler, "I got this in the bag!" He ran towards the ice sheet, where he started to slip and slide.
"Aww man…" Luke said, as he was up, "Do I really have to go up?"
"Well, you're the one who has to botch it, so yes." said Giulietta, "Just think of it, Luke. Think of you skating with that special significant other…" Giulietta smiled, "And then you guys are just skating along the ice rink in the lovely winter night…" Giulietta squealed thinking about it, "Wouldn't it feel magical?"
Luke was weirded out by her, "Uhum… yeah." he said, "Okay, I'll try…" He went on the ice, closing his eyes as he was thinking about him skating with his 'significant other'. "I'm skating… Skating with you, my darling…"
Unaware of what's going on in front of him, he was about to hit Courtney right in front of him. He was getting closer to him…
BAM!
"Aaugh!" Courtney yelped, as she fell on the ice, "Oww, my knee!" She was nursing her knee which was red from the blow. She turned and looked up, seeing Luke's eyes still closed. "Hey, spazz!" she called out to him, "Open your eyes and look where you're going!"
Luke opened his eyes and saw the CIT glaring at him. "Oh crap! Sorry about that!" Then he started to slip more on the ice, before falling onto it with another…
BAM!
"Ouch…" yelped Luke.
"Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Courtney went over to investigate, forgetting what happened earlier.
Luke stood up, trying to maintain his balance as much as possible. "I'm… I think I'm okay…" He stood his balance as he started to slip on the ice.
Meanwhile, the rest of the botchers; Narissa, Seren, Lorraine, Katherine, Lewis, V, and Georgia, started to skate on the ice.
Georgia, in particular, was glaring hard at Alejandro, who was already reaching the totem pole.
*CON: Georgia - Stay-at-Home Moms*
"I really hope that whatever they did won't get us out of here… That would be bad."
*END CON: Georgia - Stay-at-Home Moms*
Rodney and Elizabeth caught up to Alejandro, as the latter took his tip and started skating on the ice again. "Adios, amigos!" he told his fellow racers.
"Uh, yeah, adios…" said Rodney, just as the boy tapped on his shoulder to give him his tip. "Huh? Oh thank you!" He gladly took the tip the boy was handing out to him.
Meanwhile, Lance was already halfway across the icy seaside. He saw Katie struggling to skate. He made his way towards her. "Oh, I'm sorry… I didn't see you there!" He swung Katie around, before throwing her back to the beginning side.
"LAAAAANCE!" yelled Katie as she was spinning around, "You are rotten, TO THE CORE!"
Just then, she landed on someone else.
Turning around, she saw her punk friend, V. "V!" Katie exclaimed, "It's you!" She let out a reassured smile.
"No worries, Kate." he said, "Lemme give you a boost." He gave Katie a big push, making her move across the ice past her fellow racers. He was seen flashing a thumbs up as she was racing across the ice.
Lance had his hands on his hips, indifferent, "Huh. Must be lucky to have him, I guess…" he said as he started skating back to his partner.
Meanwhile, Fredrik reunited with Willis, who was given the tip.
"Good that we're having a great time, Fred!" said Willis, as he and his partner turned to look at their tip, "Your next destination is the Chill Zone: Inukshuk…"
It shows Don, who was standing beside a stone monument, Inukshuk, with the Carpet of Completion nearby.
"After teams have gotten their tips and read along what it says with their partners, they will have to race to Inukshuk, this giant monument that looks like it's a man. A tall man!" Don narrated, "This is today's Chill Zone! The last team to make it here, could be heading home tonight!"
"We don't have time to waste!" Molly ordered her partner, "We gotta get going and beat those hockey pucks!" She and Lance amscrayed to holler a taxi. Willis and Fredrik did the same thing.
As each team were heading to the streets, they heard Carla, who was still sobbing uncontrollably over what her boyfriend said, earlier.
"What's her damage?" asked Lance.
"I dunno…" said Molly, "But she's such a crybaby mess!"
"HA! Crying little weasel!" Lance cackled as he and Molly ran further along.
Carla covered her face and hid from the Bullies. "SHUT UP!" she wailed, "Don't look at me!" She ran out of the frame.
Meanwhile, on the ice, Rodney was finally at the totem pole, with Courtney catching up to him. The muscular farmer turned around and spotted her.
"Hey!" Rodney called over, "Courtney! Over here!"
"Huh, Rodney?" Courtney inquired as she tried to make it over to him, slipping a few times in the process. As soon as she got to him, she looked at him in the eyes, quizzingly, "How are you doing?"
"I'm loving with fine happy butterflies and ice." Rodney said, jumbling his words again, "It's a slippery to see girl again…" He let out a chuckle.
"Why're you talking like that?" asked Courtney.
Rodney slapped himself in the face. "Good! Real good!"
"That wasn't what I asked you…"
"Uhuh… I'm just… I'm having blast totem of my life. The view's beautiful as eyes as Venus…"
Courtney stared at Rodney, confused. She looked at the view of Hudson Bay ahead of her. "Uh, yeah…" she said, "I think the view from here is nice." She turned to him, "Look, I'd like to stay and chat with you, but I think we need to get going!" She was given a tip from the local boy.
"Huh? Oh right!" Rodney said, before he was given a tip. As Courtney skated away from him, he looked at her with hearts in his eyes. Just then, he gasped, realizing something wrong, "Oh no! I forgot to break up with Mitzy!"
*CON: Courtney - Unlikely Best Friends*
"I have no idea what Rodney's problem is, but… I hope he doesn't hear me… He's a nice guy, but I just think he's a little crazy in the head. I think all the lovey-feeliness he felt from Pahkitew Island is just making him feel sick."
*END CON: Courtney - Unlikely Best Friends*
Meanwhile, Lewis met up with Terrence, who was still fuming over the fuss with his girlfriend.
"Hey there, champ!" Lewis got his attention, "How's it going?"
"Don't ask me…" grumbled Terrence.
Lewis' smile went into a concerned face, "Are you okay?" he asked, "Is your girlfriend bothering you still?"
"I told her!" Terrence snapped, "I told her that I never wanted to sign up for this game! I thought her attitude was going to be a problem and I was right! Now, I don't know where it's gonna go from here on out! She's gonna break up with me, I bet, and then she's gonna destroy my high school career!" He stomped his foot on the ice sheet, creating a crack.
Wincing, Lewis turned to the jock, "Is there any advice I want to give you?" he asked.
"No… For now, I don't want to do anything with her! I'm over that sorry a*s b***h!" He skated away from the cop in anger, leaving the latter in shock.
*CON: Lewis - Town Heroes*
"Unless his girlfriend is really gonna be a problem and they really should just call it quits, I don't want Terrence to be resentful towards Carla. I know it won't be easy, but I don't want them to end things on a very sour note."
*END CON: Lewis - Town Heroes*
Georgia glared at Alejandro, as he was nearing the mom. "You…" she seethed, "You and your brother took our bag full of nickel!"
"That's funny…" said a nonchalant Alejandro, "Didn't see your name on it."
The mom grabbed the younger brother by the shoulders, "We got it fair and square! You're gonna PAY for that!" she yelled, "You'll NEVER get away with this!"
"We'll see about that…" Alejandro said, as he pushed the mom off of him and went away. This left Georgia glaring hard at him. She didn't notice that she was passed by other botchers.
Meanwhile, Rodney was scrambling across the ice, before he found himself falling and skidding on the sheet. He found himself moving all the way towards…
"Rodney?" someone feminine said to him.
The country boy looked up and saw… "Uh… hey, Mitzy!" he said as he carried himself up.
"Are you okay?" Mitzy asked him.
"I'm… okay-ish…" he said, "I just… Wanna say something…"
"What's that?"
"Hoh boy…" Scott's voice was heard.
Rodney scratched the back of his head, trying to think of what he needs to say to the girl, "I wanna say… It's not you… It's that…" Rodney started mixing his words up again, "You're icy, the nickel I beauty, I'm very delighted with it, you… I pickaxe someone down…" As he was still talking, Mitzy did not understand what he was saying at all. "I hope you can understand, Mitzy…"
"Uhh…" Mitzy said, awkwardly.
"Thank you." said Rodney, "Glad I got that out of my system… Bye!" he walked to meet Scott, who was folding his arms, disappointed with his big friend.
This left Mitzy, who still did not understand what Rodney said. "Okay? Nice conversation, I guess…"
Meanwhile, Tyler was slipping and sliding across the sheet. He was doing it so badly, he couldn't even try to stand up. Seren passed him, leering at the jock.
"Do you want some help?" asked Seren.
Tyler looked up to see the dark-haired lesbian, "Don't worry about me." he stated to her, "I got this!" He tried to stand up, before falling onto the ice again.
A brief shot of Oscar is seen, with him facepalming.
As Tyler was trying (and failing) to pick himself up again, he was suddenly pushed across the ice. "HEEEEYYY!" he yelled as he was moving swiftly across.
"You'll thank me when you get to the Chill Zone!" Seren yelled out to him, "Maybe…" she quietly added.
Tyler hits his chest on the totem pole. "Oww…" he said, weakly. He looked up to see Lorraine and Katherine getting their tips.
Lorraine turned around to see the jock. "Took ya long enough…" she said, nonchalantly.
The local boy went over to give the clumsy jock his tip.
"With some teams getting their tips…" Don narrated…
The next scene shows two cabs arriving in front of Inuksuk. "We see the Hockey Players and Bullies in a race for first place!"
Both teams rush out of their cabs and make a run for it to the Chill Zone. They glared at each other as they were racing across…
Eventually, the first team to make it to the Chill Zone was…

The Bullies…
"Lance, Molly…" an unhappy Don told them, "I hate to say this, but you two are in first place…"
"Thank you for that vital information, Donald." said Molly, "Much appreciated…"
"It's Donovan, you idiots!" Don growled, "Anyways, as a reward for making it here, you each will get tickets to see a Tristan Weaver concert, held anywhere as long as it's in Canada or the continental US, as well as backstage passes to meet him in person. So… go crazy with them."
The Bullies look at each other, "Anything else?" asked Lance.
Don groaned, "Yes, you also get a nice suite along with a free dinner."
"Might as well enjoy the suite as much as we can…" said Molly, "And then I'll give these tickets to my cousin."
"Yeah, Tristan Weaver's overrated." Lance said.
"Ahem… Can we go on the Carpet of Completion please?" Willis beckoned them.
"What's the big deal?" retorted Lance, "You waiting for tickets?"
Lance and Molly were beckoned to step off the carpet as Willis and Fredrik stepped on the carpet. "Willis, Fredrik," Don told them, "You're in second."
*CON: Willis & Fredrik: All-Star Hockey Players*
"I guess we're more mad that a more shrewder team beat us to the Chill Zone." said Willis, "But hey, what do we know? We'll beat them later on."
Fredrik nodded in agreement with his partner's statement.

Back on the ice, Georgia was trying to stay afloat on the ice, only for her to start slipping and sliding. "Urrrgh!" she moaned, "This really wouldn't be much of a hassle if…" She slipped again, "Those Brothers didn't take our bag…"
She notices most of the contestants passing her, which only added to her annoyance.
"This really isn't a good day for us…" murmured Georgia.
At the start of the ice sheet, the Young Farmers, Brothers, and BFFFLs have gotten a taxi to head to the Chill Zone, just as the Maple Scouts and British Royals reunite to check what their tip says.
"Inukshuk!" exclaimed Arnold, "I know that place! I've been there since I was six! Let's go go go!"
"Got it!" said Percy.
*CON: Arnold & Percy: Maple Scouts*
"Back when I was six, I was in the Junior Maple Scouts." stated Arnold, "One of the badges I got from there that was most important to me was the Inunnguaq badge, where campers had to make the largest innunquag sculpture. The one who had to win gets to go to an actual Innunquag, which, since I won it, I got to go to Rankin Inlet to see Inukshuk."
"Makes you wonder why he hasn't mentioned it earlier." said Percy.
"I did want to say it," argued Arnold, "But I was too busy thinking about the World Travelers badge…"
*END CON: Arnold & Percy: Maple Scouts*
It shows a mini-montage of more contestants having trouble on the ice, with a few grabbing their tips from the local boy.
Then it shows Don being met by Alejandro and Jose at the Chill Zone. "Third place, brothers!" he announced, with Jose smirking and Alejandro nodding with a smug smile.
Teams started appearing at the Chill Zone, in montage style…
Fourth - Maple Scouts
Fifth - British Royals
Sixth - BFFFLs
"YES!" Sadie cheered in excitement, "We did it! We're not in the Bottom Three anymore!" She grabbed Katie and the two of them hugged each other.
"Katie and Sadie, how does it feel to not be stuck in the Bottom three anymore?" asked Don, "I take it you guys must really enjoy it."
"Definitely!" said Katie, "Like, it was such a pain to get through all the misfortune we've faced for the past few legs, but it's nice to see the tables flipping for our favor." Sadie nodded along.
*CON: Katie & Sadie - BFFFLs*
"The past few episodes were filled with lots of anxiety," said Katie, "I was scared that we were gonna be the next ones out, but low and behold, we weren't!"
"It's like all the misfortune's brushing away from us!" agreed Sadie, "Sixth place!" she turned to Katie, "It's not first, but it's better than last!"
She and Katie pulled each other in for a hug.
*END CON: Katie & Sadie - BFFFLs*
Seventh - Young Farmers
Eighth - Punks
Ninth - Opposing Roommates
Tenth - Unlikely Best Friends
"Phew!" stated Courtney, "That was close!"
"Technically, there are a little less than half of us left…" Gwen told her. Courtney looked at her, but just rolled her eyes and stepped to the side.
Eleventh - Town Heroes
Twelfth - Lesbians
Thirteenth - Student & Counselor
Fourteenth - Pizza Sisters
Fifteenth - C-List Celebrities
Shannon and Narissa exhaled as they were announced that they were safe.
"That, was close." said Narissa, "Too bad I have to get new shoes…"
"Why, what's wrong with your-" Don said, as Narissa lifted her shoes up to reveal that they were starting to disintegrate from the ice. Don, wincing in shock, turns to her, "H-how does that happen?!"
"I. Don't. KNOW!" Narissa yelled, exasperated. Shannon just stood beside, staring at her friend in shock.
Don refocuses himself to the camera, "There are only three more teams left in this race!" he's announced, "Who will make it? Who won't? Let's find out!"
It cuts back to the icy seaside, with Tyler, with his tip in his mouth, slipping across the ice. "I'm coming…" he called out to Oscar, with the tip still in his mouth.
Meanwhile, it shows Georgia, who also had the tip in her mouth, trying to skate across the ice, only for her to slip on her butt.
"Oh!" she moaned, "I hope that doesn't make a big bruise…"
Terrence, on the other hand, had just got to the local boy. He was still upset, "Just give me the tip…" he told him. The boy didn't ask him what was wrong, as he just gave him his tip.
Terrence turned around and started skating on the ice, trying not to slip as much as possible.
On the icy seaside, Carla wasn't crying anymore, but she was still in shock and hurt from her maybe-not-so boyfriend's harsh breakdown of her. She was approached by Carmen and Oscar.
"Are you okay, Carla?" asked Carmen.
"Leave me alone…" was all Carla could say, "I'm hurting right now…"
Oscar and Carmen looked at each other, feeling awkward with Carla's response. They just walked away without another word.
Terrence skated past Tyler and Georgia as he met up with Carla. He was finally able to read the tip. "Oh great… the Chill Zone…" he grumbled.
"Perfect." responded Carla, who was trying not to cry again. She sped off to get a taxi, with Terrence walking behind her.
This left Tyler and Georgia on the ice.
"Woah!" Tyler yelped as he fell on the sheet again, "S-sorry, Oscar! I'll get here as soon as possible!"
"I hope so…" whispered Oscar.
Meanwhile, Georgia was still slipping and sliding on the ice. She was trying hard to get back to Carmen. "This crazy ice…" she murmured, "I don't know what's wrong with me, but… whatever it is, it's the Brother's doing! They're gonna pay for it… Oh yes! They are gonna pay!"
A minute later, both Tyler and Oscar make it back to their partners. After reading the tip that they are supposed to go to the Chill Zone, they glare at each other and tell the taxi driver to take them to Inukshuk, just as the Homecoming Couple are given a taxi for themselves.
It shows Inukshuk again, with Don patiently waiting for each team to make it to the Chill Zone. Suddenly, he sees the three taxis arriving at the end of the road…
*CON: Tyler & Oscar - Jocks*
"That ice was totally not my cup of tea, man." said Tyler, "It's like, if you have to carry yourself across, and then your feet are beaten the crap with all the slipperiness…"
*END CON: Tyler & Oscar - Jocks*
*CON: Carla & Terrence - Homecoming Couple*
"This race has been such a doozy for me…" said an upset Terrence, "I won't be surprised if we both go home today, so…"
Carla, on the other hand, had her arms folded, not even looking at the camera. She was still trying not to cry.
*END CON: Carla & Terrence - Homecoming Couple*
*CON: Carmen & Georgia - Stay-at-Home Moms*
"How did we go from best to last?!" cried Georgia, "This doesn't make any sense!"
"Well like you've said earlier, it's those Brothers that are doing the dirty work!" Carmen pointed out, "They stole our bag of nickel back in the mines, they threw us off!"
"And if we get eliminated because of that," Georgia stated, "They'll be sorry!"
*END CON: Carmen & Georgia - Stay-at-Home Moms*
With all teams sprinting in a hurry (minus a half-hearted Carla and a begrudging Terrence), it was only a matter of time before two of the teams were safe and the other could be going home. All three teams started picking up the pace…

"Tyler, Oscar," Don announces, "You're in sixteenth place! You live to race another day!" Don announces.
*CON: Tyler & Oscar: Jocks*
Tyler was waving his arms around in delight, "WOOHOO!" he cheered, "We're safe again! This is epic man, to stay another day in the race?"
"Yeah, Ty." said Oscar, relieved that they made it, "Glad we were lucky to make it there in time!" He and Oscar cheered and bro-hugged each other.
*END CON: Tyler & Oscar: Jocks*
The next to cross the Carpet of Completion was…
"Carla, Terrence," Don announced, "You're in seventeenth place!"
"Perfect…" said a begrudging Terrence, as he stormed away from his partner.
Don turned to him, curious. Then he turned to Carla. "Is there something wrong?" he asked her. Carla said nothing as she stormed the other way.
*CON: Terrence - Homecoming Couple*
"I don't care if we made it through to make another race… All I'm gonna do is just wait until Carla and I are out, and then I don't have to see her again… I'm over her crap attitude."
*END CON: Terrence - Homecoming Couple*
"No…" Georgia moaned, as she and Carmen looked on, despondent.
Don walked up to them. "Georgia, Carmen…" he started, "It appears you two are in last place… And I'm sorry to tell you, but the two of you have been eliminated from the race…"
Carmen and Georgia hung their heads in shame.
"You two have been a strong team earlier…" Don said, expressing his disappointment in them, "What happened?"
Carmen and Georgia looked at each other. They knew exactly who to blame. "It was Alejandro and Jose's fault!" Georgia stated, "They stole our bag of nickel back in the mines!"
"Yeah!" Carmen agreed, "You have to disqualify them! They can't get away with this!"
"Well…" Don said, awkwardly, "Technically, I said that anyone is required to get a bag of nickel to complete the All-In and move on. I'd give a penalty out to them, but since they already checked in, it really doesn't matter anymore."
"Seriously?!" cried Georgia.
"I'm serious." Don said, bluntly, but also sadly, "I'm sorry Carmen and Georgia, but you two are out."
Carmen and Georgia looked at each other. They had two options in their minds. They could either go full-on Karen and tell Don that they would like to speak to the producers of the show, which would result in them getting escorted off the show premises. Or they could do…
"We understand…" said a solemn Carmen. She and Georgia turned the other way and walked off.
The camera focuses back onto Don, who turns to the camera. "So… where do you think we'll go next? Will Terrence and Carla ever reconcile? Is anyone gonna find out about the Brothers?" He then glares hard, "Will the Bullies ever be eliminated anytime soon?!" He resumes his smile, "Find out next time on, The Ridonculous Race 2.0!"
*ELIMINATION MONTAGE*
"This just doesn't make any sense…" said Georgia, "We did everything so well up until we helped the Brothers, who stole our bag of nickel…"
"I know." said Carmen, "And we won the first leg back in Boston!"
"I guess if there's anything to go by from this race," said Georgia, "It's not to trust anyone."
"Well I don't think the message should be not to trust anyone," Carmen corrected her, "I think it's that we need to be careful with them. I mean, they may be sneaky or not, but… we just gotta be careful of them."
It fades to Carmen and Georgia walking on an icy road.
"Sorry kiddos, we let you down…" said Georgia.
"But hey, at least this was a fun thing to do, right Georgia?" Carmen asked her.
"Yeah." said Georgia.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannnd that's the end of the Nunavut episode! First of all, I would like to apologize for the year long delay. It's not that I lost interest in this fanfic, it's that I was too busy with school, writing other fanfics, and a lot of other stuff in life that have been SUCH a huge distraction for me. I still have enough energy to write this fanfic, even if this chapter may seem a little too rushed...
Katie and Sadie are finally out of the Bottom Three. Could this be a turning point for them?
Meanwhile, Terrence has finally put Carla in her place. However, it sounds like he doesn't want to have anything to do with her, other than wait until they are in last place. He might try, but would this come back to bite him in the a*s? Also, will he and Carla get to reconcile soon?
Alejandro and Jose, from the last chapter, have spilled the beans to the Bullies. So far, the Bullies haven't done anything totally cutthroat, yet. But whatever they are doing, will it be effective? Or will it just be some kind of villain fodder?
Speaking of cutthroat, the Brothers have initiated a team's downfall! This could be definite a sign that they are starting to show villainous colors.
Now regarding for elimination, I am gonna have to say this... Looking back, I regret having Carmen and Georgia progress through the race. It's not that they're a team I hate, it's that thinking through this long hiatus, my opinion of the Moms staying through the competition has started to change. Initially, I wanted to make them helpful allies, maybe place high in some legs, or even more convoluted, a minor villain team! However, overtime, I started to think that the plots for those would be pointless and stupid. And I might want to get this off my chest, but if I were to redo this entire race, I would have the Moms eliminated first than the Rappers in Boston... I honestly couldn't see any point in using them in this story anymore. I'm sorry Stay-at-Home Moms fans that this elimination felt rushed, but I also didn't want to make their elimination feel worse where they, like I've written up above, go all-out Karen on Don.
What more do you want to see with the teams? Is there any team that deserved to be eliminated today? Who do you think will get eliminated next? Find out in the next leg of the race! And find out where they will go next in the next 'After the Leg'!
Feel free to review what you think of this so far! Until next time!
