Didn't keep you guys waiting on this one!

Ok just wanna get this out of the way, a few of you guys are saying I'm focusing on Izuku and not giving the RWBY characters, especially Jaune, enough attention and admittedly you're right. But remember, this story is only 17 chapters in and I'm only getting to the 2nd arc. No offense but I'm confident that there will be plenty of time and moments to give things to the RWBY characters you just gotta be patient. And if you guys have any ideas for stuff for the RWBY characters then hey, I'd love to hear em. And as for Arkos, look I get it. You guys rather have crossover couples. But keep in mind that when Arkos got started Pyrrha died immediately afterward. I kinda wanna make up for that. Plus it just doesn't feel right for Jaune to end up with anyone else. Complain all you want but Jaune x Pyrrha is an ironclad ship and I'm not changing it.

Also on that note, no. Pyrrha is not going to die and Yang isn't losing an arm. Just getting that out there now. Death and dismemberment has a MUCH grander impact on the world of MHA then RWBY in comparison. Not trying to undermine her death or anything just stating the facts of the different universes.

So with all that said, I hope you enjoy the story!

Izuku was shaking, but he had to keep it together. It was kinda of ironic honestly. Around ten minutes ago he was reminiscing about how much things have changed for him over the last year, and now even more changed. But he doubts any of these changes were good.

First, he was led by a kid, which turned out to be nothing more than an illusion, into an old warehouse which turned out to be nothing but a trap. Next he encountered yet another member of the group that attacked him and his class at the USJ named Cinder Fall. After that she used that illusion kid to trigger Izuku's hero instincts causing him to jumped towards here right into her trap.

A mirror.

But this mirror…it wasn't normal. It had some special property.

Because it gave created something…someone.

A clone of himself…a dark clone.

Dark Izuku Midoriya.

'What do I do? He's…I…they're just standing there…' Izuku's mind was going well over a mile a minute. His green eyes stared into the red eyes of his copy. A single drop of sweat went down Izuku's head as he had a hard time believing the expression on Dark Izuku's face. Especially considering it was his own face.

Dark Izuku's expression was cold, confident, and unbreaking. Something Izuku really couldn't picture himself doing. Even during his moments of bravery, he usually had a shaky smile with a face dripping of sweat at best, or he was shaking horribly and using all his willpower not to break down or freak out. But Dark, it honestly looked like he could stare some of the most fear striking villains in the face without breaking.

'Should I talk to him? No wait, what if he attacks me?' Izuku tried to think of the best way to approach this new clone of his. This was a scenario he's never saw or even thought up before. He's heard of duplicating or cloning quirks before but this…something about this felt off and unnatural. This was far from normal even in a society a world like his has.

Just then a grunt got the original Izuku's attention as he shifted his eyes a bit behind his doppelganger and looked to see Cinder slowly getting up after being sent back by the surprise kick Dark Izuku gave her. 'Then again…maybe he's on my side. Fall just said that he was supposed to be a teammate but then he actually attacked her.' Izuku didn't know all the details. Heck, he hardly knew any details of the matter at hand. But from the way Cinder spoke it seemed that Dark Izuku was made to be an ally. A plan that obviously failed. 'Well…dark copy or not it is still me right? I think I know me pretty well. Might as well give it a shot.'

"So…hey…" Izuku awkwardly begun as his dark copy narrowed his eyes at the original Izuku a bit. "Does this mean you're on my side or-"

"You!" Both Izuku's attention were brought to the villainous that Dark had just kicked not even a minute ago who was now started to get up. Gone was the confident face and smirk Cinder had prior to the kick and now the League of Villains member was glaring at both Izuku's, but mostly Dark Izuku, with a pissed off expression. "How dare you strike me! You were created to serve me! Know your place Dark Izuku!"

"Hpmh, you gotta be kidding me." Dark Izuku responded to Cinder with a harsh look and tone, not looking threatened by her at all. "You've got me confused with the other guy. This Izuku's no pawn."

'Wait…what?' Izuku gained a confused expression as he flinched at bit at his clone's words. Pawn? What did Dark mean by that? Izuku wasn't a pawn…right? No! He wasn't! Still…what did Dark mean by that.

'I don't get it…what's going on?!' Cinder yelled in her mind as she gritted her teeth. Her glaring eyes never leaving Dark Izuku's face with the mirror created being now having a smug expression on his face. He knew that he made Cinder madder then she already was. And he was proud of that fact. 'The mirror should have made it so that he was completely loyal to me…unless…'

Cinder's eyes widened as the imagine of Izuku shattering the mirror right as Dark Izuku was created came to her mind.

'Of course. That must be it!' Cinder's eyes widened a bit as she just figured out why Dark is acting the way he is. 'That kid broke the mirror before the process could be complete. He's incomplete…but he probably still has the kids quirk as well as the other abilities the mirror should provide.'

"So I guess this whole thing was a failure." Cinder admitted as Dark Izuku gave a challenging grin with the original Izuku raising a confused brow in response. Cinder then brought her wrist up to her face and spoke into a communicator on her wrist. "Mercury, the mission was a failure. Have the vehicle ready, Emeralds already on her way and I'll be there shortly after her."

"Oh no you don't!" Immediately after Cinder communicated with her allies, Dark Izuku quickly went in charging after the villainous, intent on not letting her get away.

"W-Wait!" Izuku called out to his doppelganger after seeing him quickly started to run at Cinder. "We shouldn't charge right in! We need to think of a plan first!"

"Kinda hypocritical don't ya think!" Dark yelled back as Izuku flinched. Izuku knew what Dark was referring to. His very creation which came about Izuku just charging at Cinder without thinking. All because of an illusion.

Cinder saw Dark approaching her and waved her wand forward. It glowed orange as five large glass spikes in front of her. Pushing her hand forward, Cinder sent the glass spikes towards Dark who quickly stopped himself and jumped back while crossing his arms over his face. The glass Cinder created struck the floor and shattered into thousands of tiny glass pieces with Dark landing a few feet in front of the original Izuku with a few pieces of glass hitting his arms but thankfully not cutting anything due to his clothing shielding his skin.

"My apologizes boys but I must be going now." Cinder was once again speaking with her calm tone as she narrowed her eyes at the two Izuku's. She was still very displeased at the unsuccessfulness of the mission, but there was nothing to be done about it. Its best if she just left now before any potential pros came. She saw Izuku with his phone and knew he contacted for help so it was only a matter of time. "But I'm positive we'll meet again."

Before either of the Izuku's could response, Cinder held her hand out again but instead of glass she proceeded a large burst of fire so bright that it briefly blinded the two Izuku's. When their vision returned, they looked to the spot the villainous was standing but saw that Cinder was gone. "Damn it." Dark Izuku cursed with a frown. "Got away."

'What? She had two quirks?' Izuku was quickly taken back by what Cinder displayed. One second, she used a glass quirk, and then suddenly let out a blast of fire all Endeavor style. But as much as Izuku wanted to question this strange occurrence as well as the quirks themselves, there were more pressing matters at hand.

"I-I'm s-sure that she couldn't have g-gotten far." Izuku stuttered as he talked to his dark copy. This whole situation was just…bizarre. Izuku was talking to himself. And not in the way how he usually mutters to himself. He was literally talking to himself. But still, he would have to hopefully worry about that whole…clone thing later. There was a villain who was a part of the League of Villains on the loose and they couldn't just let her get away. "I'm s-sure if we just-ACK!"

However, Izuku was quickly cut off by Dark Izuku giving a strong knee to Izuku's gut. The wind was knocked out of the greenette along with some spit as he was sent to his knees holding his stomach in pain. Meanwhile Dark Izuku just watched as Izuku tried to regain his lost breath before walking away towards a wall with a lot of cracks in it. "That's for ripping off my look." Dark told his counterpart before punching the wall in front of him with enough force to break it a bit. Given the walls already broken up state, it wasn't that hard.

"W-W-W-What…" Izuku said while taking in deep breaths as he watched Dark leave out the new hole. "But…I'm the original Izuku!" Dark didn't say anything as he simply started running out of the warehouse and towards the woods. Despite the pain in his gut, Izuku quickly got up and started chasing after his doppelganger.

Looks like he would be having to worry about this whole clone thing now.

(Cue: Dark Pit Theme)

'I have to get to him! I can't let him get away!' Izuku was now fully on his feet and running as fast as he could, as fast as he was without using One for All that is, in order to catch up to Dark Izuku. He just couldn't let his copy get away. Not only would this really complicate things if there was a clone of him going around doing…who knows what and possibly getting Izuku himself in trouble but there was also to many unknown factors.

Like was Dark Izuku good or bad? He tried to stop Cinder who was a villain, so that was good. But then he proceeded to knee Izuku in the gut and then book it, which was bad. So he needed to know exactly where Dark Izuku stood when it came to morality.

But one thing was for sure, Dark Izuku was certainly different then Izuku. He could tell from that expression alone that Dark had a very different personality from him. But at the same time Dark was still him so maybe Izuku could reason with-

"Woah!" Izuku barely had time to react. He didn't have the time to dodge so he had to settle with using his right hand to block an incoming kick that was coming from a purple and black blur. Izuku grunted as he looked to see it was none other than Dark Izuku which his foot on Izuku's arm.

With his kicked blocked, Dark back flipped away from Izuku and landed a few feet away from his counterpart and locked his red eyes with Izuku's greens one. "Look who finally caught up!" Dark said with a smug grin on his face.

"What is your problem?" Izuku asked with a slight frown and confused look in his eyes. "You attacked Fall earlier…but are you aligned with the League of Villains like her? Is that why you have it out for me?"

"Don't be ridiculous!" Dark yelled as he glared at the original Izuku. He was disgusted and infuriated at the thought of being part of that group of idiots. "I just don't like the idea of someone copying my act."

"What?!" Izuku yelled as Dark gained a smug grin on his face that Izuku could never actually picture himself putting on. "But you're a copy of me!"

"Come on now. Think about it." Dark said as he held out a finger and waggled it a bit as some sort out of taunt. "If I was a copy, why would I kick my own butt?"

"What the-that doesn't even make any sense!" Izuku yelled with complete confusion with Dark simply rolling his eyes in response. "Just…look. We're both Izuku right? We shouldn't be fighting! We should be working together and helping each other, right?"

"…Pfft, hahahaha!" Izuku frowned and backed up as suddenly Dark started laughing while putting a hand to his fight. "Wow, talk like that just shows how naïve you really are."

"Nai-what's that supposed to mean!?" Izuku yelled as he demanded to know what was going on. One sign that showed that Izuku was completely serious was that he was no longer stuttering. Izuku just wanted answers from his clone, and to get answers he needed to ask questions. "You're me! We're the same! You should be just as naïve as you say I am."

"Yeah, keep telling yourself that." Dark Izuku said bluntly as he cracked his neck. "And as for that first remark, you and I are nothing…actually…scratch that. You and I are alike. Very much so."

"Then why are you-" Izuku was saying but was cut off as Dark held up a finger.

"Now, now, now, I wasn't finished." Dark responded with a rather annoyed tone. "We are alike, very much so. But! There's one key difference that truly separate's us. Care to take a guess?"

(Pause Music)

Izuku narrowed his eyes at his doppelganger and working his analytical mind to the max. What was the one key difference? Something that truly separated them. Dark was about to say they were nothing alike which is what one would assume at first glance due to the drastically different personalities. But if what Dark said is true then there was one key thing that made the two different entities completely. And after a minute or two of thinking, Izuku gave it a guess.

"Is it our hair?" Dark paled out at Izuku's guess and gave the clearly nervous and sheepish looking greenette a blank look as the clone pinched his temples.

"No you dumbass…" Dark sighed as he put a hand through, ironically, his hair as he looked the original Izuku in the eye again. "The main different between us is…"

"I'm not afraid to show myself."

"W…What?" Izuku was truly taken aback by this statement. There was an eerie silence so quiet, one could hear even the gentlest breeze blow by. Showing himself…what did he mean by that? "What…does that mean?"

"…Tell me something." Dark Izuku had a small grin on his face as he spoke. He knew what this was going and was going to do to his copy. And he was going to just relish in it. "After you found out you pummeled Bakugo during the hero training, how did you feel about it?"

Izuku flinched rather violently. The image of unconscious Bakugo with his body covered in injuries as blood leaked from his head. "I regretted it!" Izuku quickly yelled out with a strained expression. Sweat started to come down from Izuku's head as images of the experience refused to leave his head. "I…I went to far. I lost control of my emotions and powers and did something bad…"

Dark Izuku simply starred at Izuku in silence before grinning. "Ya know, one of advantages 'being you' is that I know when you're lying." Izuku's blood ran cold as Dark's words cut into him like a dagger. "So I'm gonna ask again, how did you feel about finally kicking the ass of the guy who's been nothing but a complete bastard to us for the last 10 years? I bet it felt great. We might have been pretty shocked when it happened. And yeah, but maybe we did go to far. But it was satisfying. Finally seeing him without a leg to stand on, we've never felt more alive. So, any of this true?"

"…" The silence was all Dark needed for an answer.

"That's what I thought." Dark gave a satisfied smile as Izuku started trembling where he stood. "And ya wanna know the best part? After we saw Bakugo like that, we imagined everyone like that. Our past classmates, our past teachers, and every single stranger that passed by us and saw as some freak of nature just because of how we were born. All those people who put us down, hurt us with words or fist, and those who simply didn't do a thing to help just because they didn't find us even worth the effort. Every single one of them deserve the same treatment we gave Bakugo. Especially that dirt bag of a dad that mom never heard from again after she told him that we were quirkless."

"…Shut…up…" Izuku had to use all of his strength to let those words through his teeth. His trembling became even worse as Dark's words kept hitting him harder and harder…but in a different way then what Bakugo's words did whenever the ash-blond said he could never be a hero. What Dark Izuku was making him feel was something else completely. Especially with that last comment...

"Why? Because it's the truth? Heh, you aren't even denying it." Dark Izuku's grin never left his face. He was really enjoying this. "Even All Might himself. The one person we thought we could count on for encouraging our dream told us just to give it up. Oh sure, he took it back earlier and even gave us his quirk, but only because of sheer luck and circumstance. Any other scenario…and we'd be six feet under.

Izuku felt his heart stop and his blood run cold. His skin even paled out a bit. Even Dark lost his grin as he looked down and crossed his arms behind his head.

"You can't lie to me…we've thought about it before. Even before Bakugo told us to take a leap of faith." Dark's tone was now a little less aggressive then before, but he wasn't reacting in the same horrified way Izuku was. "We're we to stubborn to just give up just like that, or did we care to much about Jaune and mom? Not even I know. But now look at you, you went from being a quirkless nobody to All Might's little puppet."

"Huh?" Izuku was, thankfully, taken away from…those thoughts at Dark Izuku's last statement. But it didn't exactly improve his mood to much due to what was said. "What are you talking about? All Might's puppet?"

"Remember when I called you a pawn earlier? Well this is what I was talking about." Dark Izuku regained his smug grin as he spoke the next part. "Think about it, when All Might says jump, you jump. He says train you train. He says to clench your butt cheeks you clench your butt cheeks. It sounds like a very satisfying existence. For him that is. Who knows, maybe the real reason he passed his quirk onto us is so that he can just pass down all the problems of being the Symbol of Peace onto us so he can start taking things easy."

"Shut up! Just shut up already!" Izuku suddenly snapped as he started breathing heavier as his expression was a mix of rage, unsureness, and doubt. Dark was turning his mind into a jumbled mess of confusion and it showed as Izuku started to lose a bit of control of One for All as green sparks coming off his body. "I trust All Might completely! You don't know what you're talking about!"

"You can only live in denial for so long. That's what I meant when I said that I'm not afraid to show myself!" Dark Izuku yelled back with a confident and cocky grin on his face. "Think about what created me, a mirror. Something that creates a reflection. And that's just what I am. A reflection of you, of your true self. So maybe your trust in him isn't absolute after all."

"What would you know about trust anyway?" Izuku countered as he started to get into a fighting pose. Not only was he expecting a fight to break out at this pace, Izuku was honestly wanting to punch this fake in the face at this point. "I can see you're filled with nothing but hate. You can't put trust into anyone while I've put my trust into so many people in the last year."

"Heh, looks like I touched a nerve. Me thinks the puppet doth protest too much." Dark Izuku mocked causing Izuku to grit his teeth and growl at his doppelganger. "Deny it as much as you want, my very existence is proof of all of this. You can't make something from nothing after all. What I am is everything you've hidden and suppressed from everyone. But from now on, I'm not hold anything back anymore."

"Just give it a rest already." Izuku said as he glared as his darker self as stood his ground. His hair started to stick up a bit as One for All flowed through his body but Izuku managed to control himself enough to keep it at 5% and not go overboard or lose control like with Bakugo. "I don't care what you say. Maybe it is true, but it doesn't matter! I'm choosing to put my trust into All Might and everyone else and there's nothing you can say to change that!"

"OK, fine. Do what you want. Or rather, keep doing what he wants." Dark Izuku simply gave Izuku a shrug and an expression that showed that he didn't really care about the choice the greenette made. The purplette then clenched as his narrowed his red eyes harshly at his copy. "But I for one refuse to be a puppet for some overzealous muscular show off, a group of psycho paths, or some stupid society that doesn't give a damn about anyone born without some grand power! From now on, everything I do I'm going for me and me alone!"

"Not if I stop you!" Izuku finally leapt into action, quite literally, as he jumped towards his dark counterpart. The ground Izuku was on cracked after he made the jump, his body violently sparking with One for All due the intense emotions he was feel as he reared his fist back ready to smash the purple haired faker in front of him.

But Izuku wouldn't get the chance at this point as Dark Izuku quickly stepped to the side with Izuku missing him by an inch or two. "So finally getting down to the fighting huh?" Dark asked with an excited grin on his face. "Fine by me!" As Izuku passed by him, Dark was ready to counter with a punch to the gut but suddenly Izuku switched things up as even though he missed with his fist he still had legs he could use to strike and proceeded to land a solid kick to Dark's face and send him crashing into a tree.

Izuku landed on his feet and slide across the ground a bit as he watched his doppelganger grunt and stand back up, using the tree a bit as support. Dark Izuku's nose leaked a little blood with the purplette wiping it off his face and looking at it for a bit before turning back to the original Izuku. "Not bad, you caught me by surprise there." Dark Izuku actually complimented before cracking his neck. Izuku simply kept his eyes locked on Dark and stayed in fighting position. "This might actually be fun."

Both Izuku's locked eyes with each other and one thing was clear…

The fight between Izuku Midoriya and Dark Izuku Midoriya had officially begun.

(Resume Music)

"But first…" Izuku stopped himself from making another move as Dark spoke up and planted his feet firmly on the ground. "If you're gonna be using it, I think its only fair if I do as well." Izuku rose a brow, One for All reacting less violently now then before, due to his confusion over Dark's words…but then witness something that made Izuku completely freeze up.

"Grrrrr…" Izuku watched as Dark Izuku grunted. Black veins appeared over Dark Izuku's body in a similar manner to the red veins that would appear on Izuku. Sparks of purple electricity covered his body like Izuku's own green ones. There was no mistaking what Dark was using right now…

"FULL COWLING!"

Dark Izuku…was using One for All.

"H-How?!" Izuku demanded to know while keeping his own Full Cowling going as he watched Dark Izuku utilize Full Cowling as well with his copy's body pulsating with purple sparks and electricity. "HOW DO YOU HAVE ONE FOR ALL?!"

"Simple, the mirror. It copied everything." Dark instantly answered as he cracked his neck. "Now are you gonna keep asking questions or are you gonna fight?"

Izuku gritted his teeth as he locked eyes with his dark copy. "Fine!" With no other words exchanged, the two Izuku's charged at each other with 5% of One for All going through their bodies.

'I can't underestimate him.' Izuku mentally told himself as he continued to run towards Dark. Izuku always gave plenty of thought to the opponents he fought and had a talent for coming up with strategies in the middle of a fight. But this one was gonna take everything he had as he was fighting something who could also do those things just as well. 'He has One for All and its easy to see that he has all my memories and experiences. He knows all my moves so I can't surprise him. I just have endure this fight until All Might shows up!'

"Let's get things started shall we! Shadow Smash!" Giving a new name to it, Dark Izuku used his own version of the Detroit Smash. Izuku tried to copy to the move and used his own Detroit Smash to hopefully match the Shadow Smash. Dark smirked however and did something unexpected. Izuku's doppelganger proceeded to switch up arms and used the arm he was about to attack with to the block and used his other arm to land his Shadow Smash directly to Izuku's cheek.

"Trying to make this an endurance match huh?!" Dark yelled as Izuku was pushed back and dazed by the smash to the face. Dark instantly realized what Izuku was trying to do when he attempted to match his own smash that Izuku wasn't actually looking to fight. He was looking to stall. Mostly likely still the Number One Hero showed up. "Sorry but like I said I want to fight! So fight! Fantomu Smash!" Using his own rendition of the Carolina Smash, Dark crossed his arms into an X shaped and proceeded to land a strong cross chop to Izuku's chest and sent the greenette back.

'He's right. It won't be that easy. This isn't a fight that I can just strategize. He can read me like a book.' Izuku thought as he tried to plant his feet on the ground to stop himself from going any further. 'But at the same time, I can read him. He doesn't have a real plan right now. He's just going on the offensive and reacting and changing things up when necessary. He's acting like this is just a simple brawl so that's the mindset I need to get in. I can't think right now, it'll only slow me down. I just have to do and hope I can outlast him!'

"Alright! You want me to fight then I'll fight!" Izuku regained his footing and quickly went on the offensive and jumped towards Dark. Dark smirked as he got ready to counter, but Izuku suddenly flipped around midair, Izuku aimed a fist towards the group while also twisting it. "Nebraska Smash!" Releasing the smash, a small tornado of wind pressure was created from Izuku turning his fist during the smash and used the pressure to send him arm into the air past Dark's head.

Izuku headed towards a tree and planted his feet on the wooden plant and used it as a spring board to launch himself back towards Dark at greater speeds thanks to the momentum built up. Dark narrowly avoided Izuku this time…or so he thought. Dark felt his wrist being grabbed and couldn't reacted in time as Izuku used to Dark to put himself flat on his feet on the ground while using the momentum he still had to start spinning Dark Izuku around. "Oklahoma Smash!" Letting go, Izuku sent Dark flying towards a tree and even snapping the plant in half with Dark Izuku still going.

Grunting a bit in pain, Dark turned himself around in midair to where his back was facing Izuku and reared his right fist back. "Yami Smash!" Punching the air at full force, Dark Izuku rocketed himself towards Izuku with the greenette being quick to react as he jumped out of the way of his incoming copy.

However Dark did a last minute flipped before he hit the ground and landing on his hands and used his remaining momentum to deliver a heel kicked to Izuku's right knee. Izuku winced as the kick struck his leg put kept going as he landed on the branch of a tree. Holding an arm out towards Dark, Izuku stayed at 5% and proceeded to flick his fingers. "Smash!" Izuku proceeded to send a blast of concentrated air pressure at his doppelganger.

"Gah!" Dark Izuku grunted as he tried to stand his ground. He was pushed back and crossed his arms in front of his face to keep any potential debris or dirt from hitting him in the eyes. While he was able to protect his eyes and face, Dark still ending up being sent into the air but was able to recover by grabbing a tree branching and standing atop of it.

"Hehe, yeah that's it." Dark Izuku said as he narrowed his eyes at Izuku with a smirk on his face. Both Izuku's were taking deep breaths and were covered in bruises and scraps with some blood coming out of their nose and lips. "But let's see if you can keep with this!" Dark Izuku then turned around and started jumping from branch to the branch.

"I won't let you get away!" Izuku said as he quickly pursued his dark copy while also jumping from branch to branch. Izuku kept his eyes locked on Dark who was resembling a purple blur due to the speed he was going at. He wasn't just going straight either. Dark was often changing directions to try and shake Izuku off him. Izuku was sure that he had his eyes locked onto his dark copy but when suddenly after Izuku blinked…he was gone.

'What?! Where'd he go?!' Izuku rapidly looked around in all direction trying to figure out where his dark copy had gone. 'I only blinked for a second and he vanished. He couldn't have gone far right? We're moving at the exact same speeds there's no way he-'

"Surprise!" Suddenly, taking Izuku completely off guard, was a strong kick to the back of his head. Izuku coughed up some spit as he started falling to the ground from the branch he was standing on and managed to look back to see Dark had somehow gotten behind him.

"W-What…" Izuku let out in surprise. But Izuku quickly looked back to the incoming ground and managed to save himself and land on his feet. 'How'd he get behind me? I had my eyes on him nearly the whole time and even after I blinked, he couldn't have gotten behind me that quickly and quietly. Something is going on but wh-'

"Don't let your guard down!" Izuku was cut off mid-thought by another surprise attack. This time it was to his side as Dark was suddenly to Izuku's left and delivered a powerful blow.

'I can't think about that right now! I have to counter attack!' Despite the pain from the attack, Izuku quickly tighten his right hand into a fist and quickly punched where he was sure Dark Izuku was…only to hit nothing but air. "He's gone agi-ACK!"

"Come on! You can figure it out!" Dark said as he suddenly right above Izuku and delivered a strong kick to the back of his head. "Use that smart head of ours!"

'Alright, its not his speed. I would be able to feel the extra wind pressure if he amped up One for All. It's something else but what. It's not like I have any other powers. I'll worry about the how later, for now I just need to figure out what he's doing. Countering is too slow. But if I just turn my head and look!' Izuku did just as he thought. Turning his head just to look at Dark was easier and faster then trying to land a precise countering blow. And he did manage to look at Dark Izuku and-

Blink!

With a small purple flash Dark was gone. 'He's…He's gone!' Izuku was running his mind as fast as it could go trying to figure out what Dark was doing.

"Watch out!" Dark's voice came around from below Izuku and unlike the other times, Izuku was able to react and managed to catch Dark Izuku's fist before Izuku's doppelganger could deliver a nasty uppercut. Izuku glared down at Dark Izuku as the copy gave a mad grin. "Heh, actually managing to catch on. Let's see how far that'll take you."

Before Izuku could say anything, Dark blinked away again but instead of reappearing in a place next to Izuku, Dark teleported onto a tree branch and looked down at the greenette with crossed arms and smirk on his face. "You're…teleporting?" Izuku asked in between breath with bewilderment. "H-How?"

"What can I say, I'm full of surprises." Dark Izuku said in a smug tone. "Although that mirror was meant to turn me into a damned slave for the League of Villains, it did me my own unique perks completely separate from you."

Izuku flinched as he looked at Dark Izuku with an expression that was a mixture of surprise, amazement, and fear. "No way…" Izuku muttered as he tightened his fist and tried to hold his ground.

"Wanna see another one? You don't have to ask I'll show you anyway." Dark Izuku then raised his right hand in the air with it glowing purple. Suddenly two purple spears of energy appeared above Dark Izuku. "Darkus Spear!" Dark Izuku then waved his hand forward in a throwing motion as the Darkus Spear was sent forward towards Izuku.

Izuku was about to dodge, but the spears were to fast. Both of them ended up piercing through the shoulders of Izuku's shirt, but not hitting Izuku himself, and proceeded to pink the greenette to a tree. "D-Damn it!" Izuku grunted as he tried to break free.

"Ya like that huh?" Dark said as he jumped down from the tree branch and looked his copy in the eye. "I'm basically you but better in every way possible. So I don't think there's much reason for my lesser half to go on. Nothing personal, just the way it has to be!" Izuku's eyes widened as Dark Izuku activated Full Cowling again and charged at the immobile Izuku and ready to strike a finishing blow and-

DING!

(End music)

The hit never came…

"H-Huh…" Izuku let out as he opened his eyes again to see what was going on.

"What?" Dark let out with a surprised expression at what was in front of him and had blocked his smash. The dark copy of Izuku then flinched as he jumped back and narrowly avoided getting slashed. But he was still grazed as shown by a cut appearing on his cheek that almost immediately had a small stream of blood coming out of it. He even deactivated One for All in surprise. "Well…wasn't expecting you to show up."

"J-JAUNE!" Izuku let out in surprised and relief as it was none other then his golden blond best friend wielding Crocea Mors and heavily breathing.

"Made it…just in…time." Jaune said in between breaths as he locked eyes with this color swap clone of Izuku who was currently wiping away the blood coming from the cut Jaune made from his sword off his face with a thumb. "Talk about Jaune Ex Machina, hehe."

"When did you get here Jaune?" Izuku asked as he stopped struggling for a brief moment. "I thought you went home?"

"Well, I dropped Eri off like you asked me and then I felt like I should try and get to you. Don't know why but call it best friends' instincts, and it looks like they were right." Jaune explained as he got into a proper position to where he would easily defend or attack if needed. A position that was taught to him by none other then Pyrrha. "As for how I found you…well…your mom kinda has a tracking device in your phone."

"Wait, what?" Both Izuku and Dark Izuku said in unison.

"Anyway!" Jaune quickly got back on track with his explanation. "I quickly went home to grab Crocea Mors and headed over to your location as soon as I could! And I saw a few bits of your fight as I was running to help! And I'm definitely gonna be asking questions about what's going on later but for now I see a different colored version of you attacking you! I've read enough comics to know where this is going! So don't worry Izuku! Leave this to me!"

"Jaune…n-no! Get out of here!" Izuku pleaded to his best friend as he resumed to struggle to free himself. "This is my fight! Please, leave!"

"I'm not helpless ya know!" Jaune yelled to Izuku as he turned his head to face his friend with a serious look. Izuku flinched and even Dark Izuku was a bit intrigued at the scene in front of them. "When I heard about the USJ attack…a part of me was relieved that I wasn't there to experience it…but another stronger part of me wish I was. So that way I could have helped you. I was stuck at school not even knowing you were fighting for your life. I couldn't help but feel like I've let you down…I'm your best friend and I did nothing…"

"Jaune…" Izuku let out as he watched Jaune stomp on the ground and take a firm stance that showed he wasn't going anywhere.

"Well no more you hear me!" Jaune yelled with a determined tone as he looked Dark Izuku in the eye with that look that told the doppelganger that the golden blond boy wouldn't back down. "Just leave this faker to me Izuku! I got this!"

Izuku didn't say anything, but instead gave his friend a firm nod. He wouldn't doubt Jaune or tell him to leave a situation like this again. Dark gave a blank frown in a similar way to Izuku's classmate Todoroki and looked Jaune in the eye. "…I don't wanna hurt you Jaune." Dark said in a calm tone with his words surprising both Jaune and Izuku. "Just get outta here and let me do my thing and you and I don't have to fight."

"I think I made myself clear." Jaune said as he gulped and tightened the grip on his sword. While he was true in his words that he wouldn't back down and leave his friend, he was still plenty of nervous about this fight. Not only was nervousness still a normal part of both him and Izuku, but he had also witnessed plenty in the short part he saw of Izuku and Dark Izuku's fight. Dark had One for All, some sort of warping power, as well as that Darkus Spear attack. Jaune was gonna have to give his all during this fight and really stay on his toes. "I'm not just gonna let you copy and attack Izuku and get away with it ya hear me!"

"…Fine then." Dark Izuku said before releasing a sigh. "Just don't say I didn't give ya the chance to leave." Dark Izuku's body was then covered with black veins and purple electricity. "If you really wanna fight…then fine!"

"So you really do have One for All as well huh…" Jaune quietly said as he looked at Dark Izuku activate Full Cowling, a single drop of sweat coming down the blonds head. "Welp...knew this wasn't gonna be easy. But I can't back down now."

"Hmph, ya know the name One for All just doesn't really seem to suit me honestly." Dark Izuku commented as he got into a fighting position. Jaune raised an eyebrow and rose his shield just in case. "I think a more suiting name would be…Dark for All."

"Dark for all huh…" Jaune repeated with a face of seriousness…before giving Dark Izuku a blank look. "Kinda generic don't you think?"

"OH SHUT UP!" Dark comedically snapped at the golden blond boy. "YOU TRY THINKING OF SOMETHING BETTER!"

"Hey man I'm just saying." Jaune said with a sweat drop. "There's a lot of cooler names you could come up with. Heck you could just change the name completely but you just added dark to the front of it. Kinda lazy if you ask me."

'What am I watching right now?' Izuku was completely lost and didn't know what to say about the scene happening in front of him.

"Grrrr, whatever I came up with it so I'm keeping it." Dark Izuku growled as he remained firm on referring to his quirk as Dark for All. "Now come on! Let's just get this over with."

'Here he comes.' Jaune quickly braced himself, gripping his sword and shield as tightly as he could as Dark Izuku got ready to run forward and-

Blink!

'He's teleporting! Alright Jaune, don't let all that training with Pyrrha and Mr. Vlad go waste!' Jaune then spread his arms out and a golden aura covered them. "Guess there's no better time then now to test this out! Come on quirk don't fail me now! Blinding Sun!" Jaune then brought his arms together, while also banging his sword against his shield, and suddenly a blinding golden light shone from the Arc boys' arms.

"AAAAAAAAHHHH!" Jaune heard Dark yelled and smirked in response. Looks like his planned worked. Jaune doubted he would be able to predict where Dark would reappear near him as he could appear in literally any direction and could instantly strike. So instead the golden blond had to rely and disrupting his friends copy instead of countering.

"I'll admit, I still have plenty of work to do with just about everything." Jaune admitted as he turned to the direction he heard Dark Izuku scream. "But every day I've been working as hard as I can on my quirk, on my swordsmanship, and everything I can! I am Jaune Arc! Not a sidekick battery, but a hero in training!" Jaune then pressed the booster button on his shield and gave a rocket powered shield bash to Dark's chest and knocking the wind out of them before whipping the hilt of his sword at Dark's face and causing blood to came out of his lip as the copy was sent crashing into a nearby tree.

'Wow…I didn't even realize how strong Jaune had gotten…' Izuku thought in amazement as he watched Jaune in action. He actually hadn't seen his friend in an actual fight or sparring session yet. This was his first time seeing Jaune in a fight. 'He really is amazing. Guess after attending different classes we haven't really been checking on each other's progress. When this is all over I should make more of an effort to train with him.'

"Tch…" Dark Izuku winced as he slowly got up. Both the shield bash and hilt whip really did a number on him, plus his eyes still stung from that bright flash. "Not bad, guess I underestimated y-AAAHHH!" Jaune didn't let up and charged at Dark Izuku and preformed a vertical slash with his sword that Dark had to jump backwards to avoid. But like before, the sword still crazed the copy as it cut through his shirt and left a thin cut across his chest. Nothing serious but it still stung.

"Alright so that's how its gonna be then take this! Darkus Spear!" Dark's hand glowed purple again as he utilized one of his unique abilities in midair sent four purple energy spears were sent towards Jaune. The Arc boy planted his feet firmly and the ground and raised his shield. The first three he successfully blocked with his shield, the Darkus Spear's dissipating once they hit, with the fourth one being deflected by Jaune's sword as the Arc boy swung at the projectile and destroyed it.

"Shadow Smash!" Right after he finished dealing with the Darkus Spear barrage, Dark Izuku was quick to charge at Jaune with a smash attack at the ready. It was in an open spot as well to where Jaune wouldn't be able to raise his shield in time to defend.

Jaune winced as he was expecting to be met with a strong punch to the face and even when Dark Izuku struck him…Jaune didn't feel anything. "W-What the hell?" Jaune opened his eyes at Dark's words and looked to see the copy of Izuku looking at him with a shocked expression. Dark's fist had connected with Jaune's face at 5% Full Cowling but there was no damage done.

Jaune quickly found the answer why. "Its…happening again." Jaune quickly looked at his body and saw that his whole body was glowing with a gold aura. It was the same as what happened with his sparring session with Kamakiri.

"Woah Jaune." Izuku commented with widened eyes as he saw his glowing friend. "Whats happening?"

Even if Jaune knew the answer, he didn't have time to. He knew this would only last so long. So, using the opportunity, the Arc boy reared his arm back, gripped his sword tightly, and proceeded to deck Dark Izuku in the face with even force to create some wind pressure and sent Dark Izuku crashing into a tree. Suddenly, out of pure instinct, Jaune swung his sword at full force forward and the golden energy radiating off his body transferred to his sword and Jaune ended up swing out a blade of energy from the sword that headed right towards Dark Izuku.

Despite the incredibly strong punch Jaune dealt out, Dark was quick to notice this and quickly hit the ground to avoid it with the energy blade slicing right through the tree and even continuing through a few more before it disappeared.

Jaune and Izuku watched with widened eyes, with Jaune's glowing disappearing as well, at the power of the attack as well as the attack itself. Just as Dark Izuku breathed a sigh of relief at dodging an attack that surely would have sliced him in half, suddenly the tree that Jaune's attack did hit proceeded to fall right on top of Dark. "GAH!" Dark let out as the log landed on him. The tree was smaller then the others around so it didn't outright crush him, and due to the lack of cracking sounds hear it probably didn't break any bones, but it still did quite a bit of damage as Dark Izuku's Full Cowling cancelled out and the doppelganger was seemingly knocked out.

"Oh…Oh thank God…" Jaune as he seethed his shield but kept his sword out. Jaune then realized what he did and started doing a victory dance. "Alright! I took down a bad guy! Go Jaune, go Jaune, go Jaune go-"

"Um, Jaune." Interrupting Jaune was Izuku was the greenette looked to his best friend with a sheepish smile. "As much as I'm happy for you could you please help me out here?"

"Oh right, sorry." Jaune apologized as he walked up to the tree Izuku was pin to and swung his sword at the two Darkus Spears pinning Izuku to it and destroying them. Izuku landed on the ground and brushed himself off, while also sighing a bit at the two holes his shirt now had, while Jaune seethed his sword. "You alright?"

"Y-Yeah, just some s-scraps and bruises." Izuku stuttered as he looked himself over. After confirming that he didn't have anything to bad, Izuku looked to Jaune with sparkles in his eyes and big smile. "But Jaune you were incredible! I can't believe how strong you've gotten. Especially that last attack. How did you do that?"

"Well to be completely honest…I don't know how." Jaune admitted as Izuku gave a confused look. "Like I said earlier I-I'm still trying to figure things out. Sometimes things just happen."

"It was still incredible!" Izuku complimented. "When you master it, I bet you'll be almost unbeatable."

"Well what can I say." Jaune said while using his tough guy voice. "Sometimes I just can't help how awesome I am." Izuku sweat drop a bit at Jaune's words, but was glad that his best friend was certainly gaining confidence and getting stronger. "And I can't take all the credit. Pyrrha's really been helping me out a ton. She's been teaching me how to sword fight and giving me some pointers on how to control my quirk. She's the one who helped me come up with that Blinding Sun attack."

"Wow, she really has been helping you that much huh?" Izuku said a little quieter this time. His earlier thoughts resurfaced as he asked Jaune. "You…think I can join you guys sometime?"

"Huh, yeah of course." Jaune told his best friend with a bit of a head tilt. "Is something wrong? You look a little off."

"I guess its just…I've been missing out on just how strong you've gotten. Today was the first time I've actually seen you in proper action." Izuku explained to Jaune. "I guess I kinda miss when we used to do this together. Like when we were cleaning that beach."

"Heh, yeah I miss that to." Jaune admitted as he held out a fist to Izuku. "So how about we pick up where we left off? No reason we should have stopped doing what we were doing so let's get that train rolling again. Just, ya know, with a bit more passengers." Izuku didn't hesitate for a second as he nodding and shared a fist bump with the golden blond. And right as Izuku was about to speak-

"Don't worry boys! I am here to rescue you!"

Both boys jumped as, landing right in front of them, was the Symbol of Peace himself who was quick to go up to the two boys and looked down at them with concern. "I got young Midoriya's SOS. Is everything alright?"

"All Might!" both boys said in unison as they walked up to the heroes.

"Sorry for taking a while to get here." All Might apologized to the 15-year-olds as he put a hand to the back of his head. "I was caught up in something."

"Its alright All Might, don't worry about it." Izuku reassured his favorite hero. "I got lured into a trap and was in a bit of a bind of Jaune saved me!"

"Oh man it was so cool! You should have seen it." Jaune excitedly said as he was still hyped up from actually defeating Dark Izuku. "But I'll give you the rest of the details later. For now, we have something extremely important to show you and he's right…"

Both Jaune and Izuku's blood ran cold as they pointed All Might to the tree Dark Izuku was under…only to see that the Izuku's doppelganger was gone.

"Oh no…"

This won't be the last we see of Dark Izuku, don't worry.

And look at that, Jaune stepping up to the plate. I'm sure you guys appreciated that, hehe. But yeah that was fun to write.

As for Dark Izuku, I wouldn't label him as a villain. More like an anti-hero like Shadow the Hedgehog. Speaking of which, Dark Izuku's teleportation and Darkus Spear are inspired by Shadow's Chaos Control and Chaos Spear respectively. And Jaune's sword beam was inspired by Link's sword beam from the Zelda franchise.

We're getting closer to one of my two favorite arcs in the series, the Overhaul arc tying it for my favorite, the Sports Festival! Gosh I've been planning for that like crazy and I'm just so hyped up! Still got about two chapters before it officially starts so not long! So remember to fav, follow, and leave a review.
