The Calling's Revenge
Chapter 17th
Loreile was asleep on the waiting room couch after being given an update from the operating room surgeon's nurse. Everyone was walking around unable to sit still especially Tony needing coffee from the cafternia downstairs leaving Ziva to be resting as well asleep in a chair in the corner.
They were finishing up inside the operating room cleaning up the last of the wounds on his back and other parts of his body. His vitals have been doing really well in spite the well the doctors thought it was a good idea to give him two pints of blood. In order to keep up his blood count levels at a norm.
Loreile began to slightly move on the couch when Doctor Taft walked in removing his blue operating cap from his head. She moved up to sit while Taft sat down on the brown couch next to her.
"He's going to be fine everyone in time. We are currently moving him to ICU to be watched for the next couple of days. Otherwise physically he will heal with needing to take it easy. Mentally is going to be another issue for Gibbs to handle with being drugged, tortured and beaten. I will contact Doctor Grace that she's going to have a patient to talk to in regard to his mental issues." Doctor Taft said with looking at the haunted face of Loreile next to him.
"I will see to it Doc that he has a great deal of support from his own wife. When will we be able to see him ?" She had to asked with needing to get up to use the ladies room across the hall.
"Give it an hour everyone. However there is going to be a limit as to how long you're able to visit with him. Now if you will excuse me I have a report to write up on my patient."
An hour later...
Loreile walked into ICU number 422 with her husband inside with all types of tubes in and out of his body to keep the balance of fluids helping him. His color basically was the same from the last time she had seen him before being placed in the ambulance.
Everyone else was going to be taking turns with visiting their boss and friend of NCIS. Tony and Ziva had to make a few phone calls to Paris in order to speak with Senior and Tali. Text messages had been sent to let them know that all was well. Even though Senior was really worried about his friend Gibbs having done so much for him over the years.
Loreile sat down next to his bed taking his cold hand. She was going to warm it up with rubbing it while watching his face looking so much older than what he's supposed to be at age 68. She loved her husband a great deal and when he had asked her to marry him. She was totally shocked after his last four marriages over the years. Even though being married to Kelly was the only one that had counted until now...
One thing for sure. He was going to be totally surprised with becoming a father again after 30 plus years. She wasn't going stay long knowing that his friends want to see him. She was exhausted after the long flight from Hawaii, she was going to ask Doctor Taft on whether she would be able to sleep in quarters of the hospital instead of going home.
Doctor Taft came looking for her after writing up his report on Gibbs out in the hallway of his room, while Tony and Ziva went in after making their calls.
"What's going on Doc?" Loreile asked calmly with her nerves on edge.
"I have quarters for you to sleep for the night. This way you won't have to go home in case Jethro wakes up during the night. Doctor Janice Mallory is giving up her quarters to help you out for now. Please come with me down the hall and than the elevator on the third floor.
"Well than Cyril let's go before I fall down from exhaustion." She replied with following behind him down the hall and than pressing the button to the elevator.

It was sometime during the night when Loreile was asked to come to ICU with her husband beginning to wake. She felt somewhat anguish not knowing what to expect when she walks inside at three a.m. in the morning. She had no make up on along with her long black hair somewhat of a mess. However she didn't care at all.
The night nurse saw her arrive walking out of the unit to let her know that he was awake even though somewhat groggily a bit.
She pulled up a chair really close to his bed to see his eyes opened trying to speak. "Hey! She said calmly.
In a hoarse voice with his throat dry. "You're such a sweet angel Loreile. The one person I have woke up no doubt in the hospital."
"Yes, your friends were able to rescue you from the island. They have been here in and out of your room all night. While I was trying to sleep in a doctor's room that Doctor Cyril Taft had set up for me."
"How long Loreile was I out cold?" He replied with trying to move slightly to feel some pain with his legs.
"Ever since they found you on the island even though you did try to speak on the transport plane until passing out once more. Jethro, you need to try and take it easy since the doctors have been working on you with your wounds."
"I feel like I have been heavenly drugged with the pain killers. However I do feel some pain with both of my legs. Can I have some water Loreile my throat and lips are so dry and chapped." He noted with placing his hand on his face and lips.
She poured him a small glass of cold water helping her husband to drink without choking.
